Hi Jan, Joy, Cris, Trish - good to have you back home - and anyone else who's crept in while I wasn't looking.

Have just had a hot jam toastie and a lovely cuppa. My head still isn't on quite right, I fell asleep and had a nightmare earlier, but I'm so glad I don't have to go anywhere else for a couple of days, it's freezing out there!

I'm having a little trouble with my hands, so a bit slower tonight; but I feel ok in myself and nothing else dire happened today........just trot on as usual at the mo.

Another builders and I'll go over to the fire and sneak a corner of Cris' blankie.

We'll have Toni rushing about with the mops and buckets and flinging the windows open if we have more Stargazy Pie tonight! I don't half fancy a piece of rock salmon and chips (ok, they don't call it that now, do they, it's huss).

There's a couple more for you to Google, Trish :!:

    REAL Food

It is amazing how much children's food is not just processed but made to look as little as possible like its original ingredients, especially if these are lambs, piglets, fish, ducks etc. Instead the ingredients are shaped into dinosaurs, Disney characters and suchlike. Imagine the children's reaction to a Stargazy pie, with its fish heads all intact, complete with eyes which explode under the heat from the oven!

    That's real food.

Hubby's not that keen on fish, so I don't each as much as I would like to; I love crab, Trish, in fact I eat practically anything, but you have to remember which generation I belong to. Post war we ate what there was and if that was fish - sprats, sardines, sild, most of them were too small to gut and were cooked whole. I can't believe that no-one else on here has eaten whitebait! That's around even now - I had it fairly recently when on holiday in Dartmouth.

I remember when we were young. Every Sunday we would visit my aunt. On the table were winkles, plus a lot of other food.

We were all given a pin to get the winkle out. My sister and myself used to call it winkle sunday. As I got older I started to think and thought, There is his head and then I got him out and asked how it went to the toilet.

You can imagine what I thought the little brown bit was. I got a smack around the ear from my anunt.

I could not eat anything like that.

Another jelly baby anyone? These ones are made from real fruit and natural colours and flavours.

Where is Jan, is she unwell?

Annie, you have hit the nail on the head. looking forward to getting back in the saddle and worried that I will be able to cope. I noticed in another thread that you had said you were the main breadwinner. I am in the same situation haven't worked for a year and haven't earned for a year (self employed) so been living off savings. Now ith OH losing his job more important that I try to work again.

Hopefully when i see the doc on Tuesday I will get some help with my PA and other deficiency they have found and that might help with the fatigue.

Enough about me, how is everyone?
