    What is a girl to do?
    Am starving now as couldn't eat last night with that awful storm on the cruise. If no one is watching I might sneek a piece of both, and put money in the till. You won't tell will you?

    Sounds like a wonderful idea to me, Joy. You'd probably make some sales - I'd rather like one of a storm-whipped sea, it'll bring back a few memories.
    I'm just going to take off my shoes for a minute or two..........ahhhh, that's better. Had an awful day at work, so will have coconut cake and date and walnut - don't tell anyone.

    hi val.ive got a reindeer to donate,it sings ''grandma got run over by a reindeer''its been sitting in the loft since he was a party piece on my bar at the pub.
    so i'll sent it over,if the peeps at the pub enjoyed it our lot will.it has a sensor & goes off everytime some1 walks past it.
    thats why it now lives in the loft :wink::lol:

    Spirit? Of the alcohol kind? I'm with you there, girl. I don't mind decorating all the bottles - it'll get easier as I go along. I could get very festive.
    That reminds me, apart from an odd invitation to visit the landlord's flat, I've never dropped into the Cane and Able. Perhaps I'll nip in there one night when there isn't much to do on the ship.

    wow .... just found this wonderful cafe and wondered if there was a spare seat for me?

    will be making a fruit cake tomorrow if that helps to oil the wheels a bit? :wink:

    and is it ok for dogs to come along too? .... seem to think I read something about a variety of animals sneaking in ? If so, littlelegs would love to join in, and would love to offer to be washer-upper (well, should that be licker-upper?!) as long as you all leave her a bite or two :lol::lol:

    Hi Toni,i used to be a landlady,had me own pub.from 2002 til 2004,then i took it back over in 2006 for 6 months before it died its death along with so many others & its now closed down.

    Sorry, could not deliver last night had a date.
    here we are
    date and and walnut cake
    chocolate gateaus
    coconut cakes
    treacle tarts
    custard and egg tarts

    oh and I made these just to see if you like these mince pies shortcrust and puff, there's a bit of rum to give extra flavour. Thought I best tell you incase your driving.

    I spoke to the insurance people today and they were right up country and she said they had a bit of sun......... We have really had rain here again and my lodgers are making mud all over the place :? I hate the cold and winter but Val's decorations will be up soon and I go a bit mad over lights in a big tree outside..... It had 22 sets last year and you know I really must get some more of those amazing blue led lights :lol::lol::lol:

    Out of the window now teeming down.

    The Christmas decorations are already being put up. I have noticed them bingng put up on my way to and from the hospital :o:o

    Cris I love Christmas lights and decorations indoors. I've got a white tree for this year with Fibre optics. Found out that my son, dil and grandson will becoming over for Cristmas. They didnt come home last year as they ownly went out there in the September but they missed Christmas so much.

    It will be like Santa's Grotto hopefully.


    Lynn yes I'll look it up whenI get home remind me. It's a recipe that was my mums

    I'm feeling better Lynn A couple of weeks go thought what am I going to do I could'nt eat ,sleep I'e lost nearly 2 stone in weight.
