I am back .... any builder's tea left? Please?

Been busy today ..... went to Tai Chi so have lots of room for any left-over cakes. Not fussy which - just make it a large slice please

Cris - we have had a mixture of sun and cloud, but fortunately we had all the rain overnight. Sorry you are still dealing with it today. Are the employers not good at counting in two's then? better get them trained in case you need the Ark built :lol:

Chris - sorry you didn't get the sun - you must be further north than we are, or maybe nearer the coast? Hubby was in Bridlington and it was not so good there today (what he sees of it to and from work that is!  ) but Beverley has been OK.

oh .... must check ..... fruit cake tomorrow ... with or without Cherries? can we have a vote?

Just calling in to borrow another book. No work tomorrow so can stay up late and read. Hope you ok debs, the world out there can be rough, at least the cafe a safe haven whatever the weather and the worries. Yes wonkylegs I am in North Yorkshire so a bit further up than you I think though never was good at geography
Will have a quick check round for spiders, mice and sheep as I know Cris was in today so you can never be too sure what has been left behind.
Will just have another piece of cake while I am here and no one is watching. Wouldn't do to look too greedy!
    Chris

    Hi All,

Quick builders tea and then I shall get my hottles and see if we are floating by dawn

    Hi Wonky,

Little legs was saying how deprived she is with not being able to have her chips :lol: I been thinking about what you could use to help get weight on, my lot say scrambled eggs are good but then I do have confirmed egg eaters, raw or in slipper boys case addled...... He really is disgusting....... k050.gif

You can get some powder from the vets that slows down digestion and puts back some of the bacteria and enzymes long term antibiotics take out........ Its sold by the tub but its not much a day, though obviously by being 'only available at vets' its not cheep. I really hope she will settle and put weight back on soon. He said she should eat the all you can at menu...... He really does think like a shark..... you eat it and if its food you digest it and if not well you cost owners a fortune with blockages...... He does worry me abit with his advanced thieving.....

The lodgers are making a lovely swamp out there, tell me why they have to stomp in the wet bits :? We shall build an arc and then we should get some sun...... Please...... oh go on send some down....

I'm rambling, sorry, its not been the best of days

Have left you a big builders tea and it will be warm when you get it cus its cyberland Slurps and ((( )))'s Cris x

    Hi Chris and Debs,

    Hi everyone

Just calling in for a fix of tea and cake. Not sure if there are any cream horns left now but think wonky was doing a fruit cake, that is always nice with a bit of cheese I find.
Can you be addicted to tea? c065.gif
Think I might be tho' do have the decaf at home, wouldn't want to get too hyper.
Tis actually a better day here some sun shining down on us in North Yorkshire. With that and a good brew you can't go far wrong.

oh PLEASE please tell me there is a tiny tiny cream horn somewhere still waiting for me? haven't had a decent cream horn for YEARS .... used to be my favourite treat from the bakers as a child.

I think I too am addicted to tea .... however it comes ....... although strong enough to hold the spoon up is my preferred option!

Chris - glad you got some sun today - it was super here, but is shivvery cold tonight.

Cris - hope they have stopped stomping in all the muddy bits, and have had a bit of sun .... kept trying to blow the rain away from you but ran out of puff! Don't worry about littlelegs .... I am certain that she is putting on weight with the porridge, alhtough haven't been to weigh her yet. Just looking at her she looks better :D and the scrambled egg she had last night went down with no problems then ..... or this morning thank goodness :D:D

Glad the fruit cake went down well .... how about some butternut squash muffins tomorrow? (jamie Oliver recipe that is easy to do (all in food processor really) and tastes fab.

    Hi Wonkeylgs

the cream horns are not hard to make, you do need to get the horn tins to wrap the puff pastry around then put it in the oven. When done wait until cold and put cream in.

I think I got them in Selfridges.

While I'm here i'll drop these off

    Date pies
    Date and walnut cakes
    Chocci gateau's
    bread puddings
Baked Alaska, I put it in the fridge or it will melt
    mince pies, shortcrust and puff

    trisher xxxx

ps I have just had a thought that if the newbies look around this forum what must they think they are in the wrong place or thought this was to do with arthritis??? :!: :!: :!:

    Morning all

Think it is still morning. Good you see it has been busy in here again. You are right anyone popping in here will wonder what they have stumbled across
I could really do with a bag of chips today, think I have over dosed on the cake. Though am sure I can squeeze one in as well at some point today.
    k065.gif
I have a confession to make, I don't like clotted cream am I weirder than you thought? I think I had a bad experience with it as a child which made me poorly.
Hope you all having a reasonable day and that Toni hasn't completely raided the fridge?
