Trish there's an alpaca farm somewhere around here, they have the alpacas for the wool........I gather it's quite a market nowadays. Keep meaning to find out more, don't know if it can be visited.

Yes they do use Alpacas wool, it is so nice.


They also have them in Canada I believe. It is good wool. Not sure about Yac's, I suppose it is the same thing.

Hey any of you want some sheep wool..... nothing wrong with that! I did try and make a jumper out of one of mines fleece...... I used natural dyes and hand spun it and it looked horrible and every time it got wet there was a distinctive smell of sheep.... so for me a normal day then

Tea trays are for sliding down an icy track but we are in gold medal position.I dont want to give her the kiss of death.......but it would be our first medal for years and years!
