Back home and had lunch and my black eye caused some concerns when I went for my bloods..........now seeing the doc tomorrow morning.

It is such a fantastic day........feels like Spring, although clouding over now. Put a little washing out before I went to surgery, it's all dry and just needs airing.

Cris, I'm going to snuggle down in front of the fire for an hour......if you decide to come out, please mind and don't soot me! Hubby will eat ducks' eggs.....bit strong for me sometimes. Not surprised Punk has missed a day - she did come up with two on Saturday!

    See you all later.

    Evening everyone.
Annie and the mystery black eye. Will be interesting to keep us informed about that one.
Trisha, Hope your dr's appt went well. Hope we hear from you later.
Rehab. Well done on getting a start in the garden. I was hoping to do mine before now. As you say, we are a month behind now and I think I may have lost one or two bushes over the winter.
Now, for myself. OH and myself have had a very stressful afternoon and it is all down to me. Do not enter any competitions to try and win a k****matic adjustable bed. When I had the first phone call from this company, I asked them if I had won a bed. They said NO. So I said to them, "Do not ring me unless I have won a bed". So I thought they had finally got the message. Until last week that is. They keep on and on. If I fill in a survey with them then I get £500 in vouchers to spend on whatever I like.
Now, my OH will stand for no nonsence and he wasn't too happy I had agreed to them to come for an appt. Well it was just over 2 hrs of pressurised selling and then came the price from £10,000. I was then getting a very bad headache and so OH asks them to go, there is no way we can afford that. So, despite OH asking him to go he then rang his manager, a woman who I had said no to about 9 months ago. and she starts again. I tell you, I found it all very distressing in the end. She would let me have the bed for half price if I would agree to doing a video and take the occasional phone call whilst he was with other potential customers.
All this transpired through taking part in a competition.

    So beware.
I am going to log off the system now because I am having loads of problems with the internet at the moment. Very slow and screen keeps freesing

Hi Joy, Chris, Cris.........and the memory just failed there.....sorry. Not installed properly today!

Dire need of a builders again - will try not to disturb the embers Cris. Thank Punk sooooo much for the eggs, not to mention Daffy Duck.......perfect for tomorrow.

Hope work went OK Chris? I would have like to have done some outside today, but Plan A didn't allow for it.............and such a lovely day.

Joy, those bed people are a perfect pain...........get real tough with them if they bother you again.
It must be the weather affecting computers, I had trouble all yesterday even with other connections and sites, it seems to have righted itself today, whatever it is.

Right have finished my builders, a refill in the bucket and I will sit here for a few minutes and gaze vacantly into space (I do that really well just at the min).

Work getting busy now and I'm not liking it much but at least lots of kiddies get their sweeties when they have a day out so I am contributing to society. :D

Cris, ta for the builders, I'll keep the fire stoked for you. xx

I remember watching a programme on tv about a hard selling company and what their tactics were, so should not have gone ahead with the meeting, but they just couldn't say no. I kept saying to them "Only ring me if I have won a bed, they say there is one bed a month, in other words, "There's one mug a month".

I'm fed up with this computer. It keeps freezing after every few words or so.

lol chris is so no wot ya mean ,just sitin here my knees are so sore, i hope more use will ease it for me :?

joy hun just remember nothing is for free, and if somthing sounds to good to be true ,it is :(

if they ring again ask them to remove you from there caller list or you will be reporting them next time :x

Jan, hope the knees ease up for you!

Joy, all I did was ask for a catalogue some years ago........I didn't enter a competition or ask for anything else, but it let loose a deluge of unwanted calls etc. I got fed up after a couple of months and told them I was reporting the company to the Office of Fair Traing as scammers, Trading Standards for cold calling and the police for harassment. I was very forceful and said if they called me again I would put the call straight through to TS...........I haven't heard a dicky bird since!

I hope everyone has seen the big yellow strange thing in the sky today, the weathers going to get back to wet & windy on Thursday according to the forecast(sorry folks)

Thanks Wonky, I'll find out more on weds from the OT but yes the more the better. The less impact on these knees & my spine would be a great help.
The OT did say the 1st steps are splints & equipment.
She's also going to go through some strengthening excerises for my wrists/hands as the dynometer test was really bad on both hands. Then she's going through pacing management :?
All good fun ah!!!
