Hi Jan, Julie, Cris, Annie, Val, and to all who bubbles will no doubt have missed........

Phew, its a warm and humid one this evening. f035.gif OH has been working into a lather in the garden, mowing, strimming (as I am not allowed any more), sorting pots and plants.......had to have a towel handy to mop the brow. I made drinks and offered lots of encouragement, sprayed a few weeds and wafted the brush round the patio. That was more than enough. f010.gif

Got my letter from the Rheummy, well, copy of one sent to my GP, just giving an update on his findings so far. Went to see my GP, (they are so good, getting an appointment within two hours). Amitryp is being doubled for a week or two, then pregablin after that. It says "admission to ward" on the hospital letter, so I am being hossy napped...............................   to get all the x-ray results and blood results and have my knee aspirated and injected. s050.gif

so far we have osteo, fybro, chronic heart disease, chronic pain, cervical nerve impingement, sciatica, neuropathy, depression, chronic insomnia and we haven't even got the full diagnosis yet. Good GRIEF. Is there any brandy left??? I feel like I could do with a little drinky. a035.gif

Oh Julie, I don't know, I thought they would do it in outpatients, but it says admission on the follow up bit. Best be fueling the bus, p065.gif no date yet. Funny, I had the papers and was going to ring to see what was going on, then the post man came and answered my questions with the letter. I said to Trish I was going to get onto them and say I wanted some answers to my recent tests. Bet the next letter arrives tomorrow.

    Hi again

I see bubbles is in need of the medicinal brandy   not surprised either with all that to cope with. Glad your GP is supportive at least that is something.

Littlelegs says she is standing by for the rescue mission if needed, although she is sorry she can't be around on Wednesday or Friday this next week cos she has to be around to rescue me if needed

Bubbles ... can I ask if it helps getting copies of the letters from the rheumy that go to your GP ..... and do you get copies of the letters the GP sends too? Been wondering if it would be a good idea to ask for copies of letters now that I will be getting a different consultant who might actually write letters that say something :lol::lol: I always thought that my GP would tell me what I needed to know, and that I didn't want to get lots of paper, but beginning to think it would be nice to know what they really are thinking

Cris - hope you got some salon duties done ..... you must be near the end of them by now eh?

Now I can't remember what I was going to write to everyone else    think my brain has overheated .... a large bucket of iced lemonade please and I'll try again!

    hugs

    glug ..... glug ......glug .......... ahhhhhhh that's better :D

jan - sorry to hear about the bellyache ...... wonder if it is pizza that does itcos I was like that on Wednesday after Pizza :( hope it improves soon.

Annie - I think I've had the same problems as you today! maybe youwere finishing what I started and vice versa :lol::lol:
hopefully we will be more together tomorrow.

Julie ..... if it is cooling off your way please send it over here  it is far too warm for me ......... and for littlelegs who is panting like a steam train after walks

right, another lemonade for me and then I'm off for an early night. Want to try to be up early in the morning cos it will be too hot to shop if I get up too late

    hugs to you all

Thanks Julie and WOnky, I know my friends here will be there. Lets hope it is for the day, or even less. I don't like seeing it all listed down, knocks you back a bit sometimes.

I think it is new policy now for patients to receive copies of all letters that are sent (unless it would be detrimental to their health ie if there was some serious mental illness or something like that). You certainly have access to letters that are sent back and forth to GP and Consultants. when we lived abroad, they always did that, saying, you are the patient, you are entitled to know what is being said about you.
I guess, for some people, it would not always be the best thing, but then the Drs would hopefully be aware of that and act accordingly.
I am always all eyes at the computer when I see my GP, sometimes turning the screen round to see what is what - but then, that's nosey nurse me, wanting to know the thread and needle of everything.

Julie, is is lathering here, we had a rain storm and now the air is hanging, you could wring it out. n015.gif

Yes please, a gallon of lemonade with 100 ice cubes will do nicely. Ta. A hair dryer, oh goodness, I would faint.............. k050.gif

Sitting is a royal pain, I am like a hen laying a square egg if I have to sit in a hard chair for more than 10 minutes, burning pains from neck to knees. It's time we went to war with arthur. c050.gif

I once went to pizza hut and when I went to get up I couldn't  I had siezed up, a friend managed to get me home and the next I couldn't walk. I was in a lot of pain in my grion which I was told was because of my hips. I spent 4 days in bed in agony.

Going out for a meal is always a "joy". Dead legs that won't move, I usually poddle out like Mrs Overall and take ages to get upright. I try and time the pain meds, so they are at max while I am out, but they dont stop you being chair shaped. I am going to have to ask for some different sticks, they are hurting my arms now, will have to see physio again.

I know, it feels like that sometimes, as if I have a ward full, all in one body. Thanks for keeping the bus on standby, I will keep the cafe posted as to when they want me in hossy. If it's up to me, I will be out as fast as I can possibly be pushed, (faster than trying to walk out). Nurses are not good patients, expecially retired ones. n020.gif This weather sets my knees off biting, far worse than the cold. The left one is like a melon at the moment.

Thanks Cris, appreciated greatly. f050.gif Little legs can bark at my legs with pleasure, help yourself little legs.

It might well be the day ward, I cannot see any reason to keep me in after a drain and jab. Goodness knows what official diagnosis will be on the next visit, re the arthur. Never mind eh, every day is a blessing and creaking gates hopefully go on a long time. Gets you down though, but you carry on and come round, then dip again.

Yes, well, I would assume so. I will be giving them NO reason to keep me in. They have had me hossy napped 8 times already. I think I will be starting on pregabalin in a week or two, GP just wanted to double the amitryp for a while, see if that helps any. He said pregablain was well tollerated. if any pills make me feel sick I am off into panic stations. Long story, won't bore anyone with tht at the moment.
