"nobody puts baby in the corner"!!!

it must be hard to deal with some times bubbles, like trish you come across as a strong person ,i guess you both have to be eh

For sure, although I don't feel stong sometimes, like the last MRI when they had to scoop me out in a total heap after 30 seconds. Rheummy said we won't be doing another MRI, because they would not consider me for surgery anyway.

It is frustrating, very, thinking what you did when in your heyday, ward manager, going at 100 miles an hour all day long. I forget it for most of the time, but occasionally I think, oh I wish I could go back and run a ward for a shift or two.

Still, there are things now that give pleasure, listening to the birds and wildlife around us, pottering in the garden, doing what we want to do, within reason and arthur not nibbling. We live in a quiet wooded spot, with lovely neighbours who look our for us. OH is able and fit, but when we had a power cut the other week, they were round in no time, to see if we were ok. They get bits of shopping as they are always out and about and I dno't feel up to going.
Simple things in life become very important now.

    Hi Bubbles,

Flower you have a beautiful place right there and sometimes a potter and an appreciation of the world in your sight and ears, here with black birds singing in the evening an swallows swooping about i the swoopy thing they do at late evening. Soon the hatch lings will be flying and well simple things are often the best thing for you inner self.

The pregabalin is a good drug flower. The only side effects I have ever had is the euphoria (I don't mind that) and the hallucinations for a very short time (didn't like that at all  but it was only when I took the 300 combined with the drip.... made an interesting week I have to say  )

Before they put me on them I was so bad I found walking rough let alone bending and that horrible grinding pain...I felt like bailing it was so hard and scary (before the forum came to m notice as well so I was 100% alone bar employers and they were under threat cus of my uselessness) well its now manageable and though I is slow I have been returned to my way of life for a bit longer :D

You hang in there and don't forget we will all be in your pockets so big jackets and big pockets you will need  ((((( ))))) and another cuppa. xx

    I don't mind euphoria either.

I will take my biggest bag, with extra side pockets. I thought I might get the pregabalin today, but no, have to wait a week or two to see if the 100% increase in Amitryp helps with the neuropathy. Honestly I doubt that it will, but will give it a go.

another cuppa, yes, it is that time of night, cuppa time. Had all my pills, so eyes are a wee bit squiffy. Off to put the kettle on. Trish, have to been lurking today, hugs to you hun, still missing you.

I think I should call it a night and go sit comfy for a while, eat maltesers, then go to bed. i am jaded and need to rest up. Everyone take lots of care, sending bubbly hugs to one and all n015.gif Lots of Love

totaly agree with cris, i often stand at the back door looking out on the spinny, listening to the bird song and often seeing squirrals in the trees, i can forget i live in a town when im out there

We are close to a nice little town, but you would think we are in the middle of nowhere, so quiet, so little traffic, just lovely and we are so glad to have moved to a residential park. Birds wll be singing again soon.!!

    Hi Jan,

I am sorry your still hurting. Would strapping them up help do you think? Hi Jan,

I see what you mean (Brenda the hugs will rush over to you next time your in :lol: x)

I tell you my bones play up a 'bit' and I do find supporting them does shut them up a bit. I use double or triple tubigrips for my knees and doubled over for my wrists....... Jan I just wish they made it big enough to put round my back....... I have actually used a horse bandage but even that's not long enough..... note to self lose weight!:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

I hope it helps you and I think there is something I should be doing... side glance at the clippers..... xxx

Has anyone mentioned joint replacements to you yet. Not trying to frighten you but you sound in a very bad way.

    Hi Jan, Elizabeth, Cris.....

I hate to tell you this, but it was beautiful on the beach this morning ..........thought of you all and decided I was lucky. I would have paddled my poor feet in the sea, but the tide was out :(
Bought a crab, so crab salad for lunch tomorrow and probably Monday as well.

Jan, you really do sound in a bad way with your knees........I've got some knee supports but only use them if I am desperate as my feet don't like them and swell up.

Have taken French leave from the gardening as I am sooooo hot - needed a builders so have popped in and will now do my famous leap over the counter to the urn. I bought a new bucket this morning, see?.......it's got seashells all over it!

Yep, Jan you defo should talk to the doctor about the knees. Do they creak, groan and click? Mine are noisy as hell when I'm attempting stairs or hills and they are certainly worse in the cold weather. On the other hand, they're not that good now, either!

It's got very heavy here and the sun has gone hazy. Got a headache now, will wait till the sun's off the garden before I go out to finish up.
