    It's very wet and windy here, but no flooding very near me. I do feel so sorry for all those poor people forced out of their homes. Still having some computer probs so please don't worry if I suddenly disappear. I have to keep signing on to the forum.

    I think of all the times the ambulance have rushed me to hospital on a blue light. Saved my life on a couple occassions. I have the greatest respect for the emergency services.

    They can have to do some horrible work at times. Must make them upset too at times.
    They worked on hubby a while ago Lynn, saved him

    Used to be in the amb service and here are still a few jobs that haunt me. In my day no one got counselling but you know i think they can now.

    I saw the weather, its going to be ok soon. There is some rain to come and the water table is very high but you mustn't worry so much for others though.

    Would you lie half an omelet? You could have a whole one if you wanted :wink: Got some mushroom and cheese to throw in it as well and some tomato sauce as well...... maybe we should have pancakes? xx

    I have just seen film of Cumbria it is worse than I thought. If they have more rain well.

    Those poor people, must have lost a lot. Every year when it gets near Christmas have a disaster. :?:

    Hi Tish,

    Lets hope they are being over cautious with their warnings. Its been abnormally heavy rain 'again'. I just think they should put in the flood defences before it happens cus they know it will and never seem to till it happened. Well thats what they do down here at any rate.

    You got anymore humbugs please? Chris bring in any clotted cram fudge today? xx

    That's the problem is'nt it. You get insurance for them. They have to have this and that done , then you are not covered anymore.

    What Eye Cherry, I thought you'd been at the sherry :shock:

    They are beautiful dogs. When I go home I might get another one from Battersea. I love dogs.

    When I lost my Suzie, my world fell apart. She was my baby. She was only a mongrel, been beaten badly by her owners.

    Humbugs in my bag, Chris has not given me clotted cream fudge, mmm I could eat some of that.

    They know the bad weather is coming, yet as you say nothing is done.

    I don't think anything could has stopped that last night really. They have shown a tree halfway under the bridge.

    Look at Annie, they have been watching the water levels for a couple of days.now.

    I don't know. have some more humbugs

    Hi Trish,

    Well no they can't stop the potential but there were a couple of villages this way that got 6-10' of flooding every winter till the environment agency did some work and they have never had flooding like that since so they could have done a lot up there and now they will have to.

    We have huge problems with the flash floods, they are very dangerous and by the nature of the fact we build our villages under the cliffs by the river exit well there are a lot of places that could, some (ie Boscastle) did. That's kinda different to the flood plan thing.

    I don't know why I am still up :roll: There is a let up in the gales and they have been keeping me awake for the last 5 nights so I probably ought go before they come back.

    Mornin All,

    Its wet out there so sorry about the puddles :wink: I have left my sheep coat outside so hope you haven't got 'hint of sheep' wafting over your breakfast :lol::lol: Could I have a builders and will go sit in the corner with the sleeping one (Hi Jan) and the cooking sherry one (Hi Toni) and have a warm up by the fire.
