    Afternoon folks

Hi Joan, yes I wondered about Cris and the magnet, but hey if it works why not! Anything for a bit of pain relief.
Seems the night owls and early birds were all in here last night and this morning so hope you all got some kip at some point. I think I can hear Jan snoring in the corner still?
I'll have me usual bucket of tea and some soup today, tis still cold out there and must brave the elements for some rations in a minute. e015.gif
Hope the head a bit better delboy? A full english will have helped ready for the next little tipple  Toni had us sneaking the sherry in here last night and I don't even like sherry. Hey ho! Hope you got served eventually Carol? Hope all is well for Lynn, Annie, Joy and Cris, these storms still popping up everywhere.
Sorry Trish and Cris will bring supplies of clotted cream fudge on Monday, they slipped my mind. :? Might sneak some chocolate too think we could all do with a treat these dark cold days.
    Take care all
    Chris

    Hi Joan,

How is it your way? I am so sick of gales and rain! this is day 7 and I mean come on its enough!:lol:

I shall grab a builders (could do with a real builder and an electrician if there is any  ) and could you tighten this up a bit cus I don't trust too many people to tie this on my neck :lol::lol:

Have to say with them it had to be on the carotid artery and they both did seem less stiff.......... :lol: I could try it couldn't I? I got a beautiful thing it fits on...... are chockers still in?:lol:

Would you and Sue like a refill? Shall we sit over here so we don't wake Jan? x

Sorry Chris I didn't see you there. Would you like some of our 'local' fudge boxed in Yorkshire?:lol: How you doing? Sleep sometimes is hard to do but I have an indoor sale tomorrow and I know the morning one is already cancelled and the indoor one is a much more civilised hour :D x

I managed to get a stock of good quality wine in after a local wine shop (One of the Thresher Group) had a massive sale after going into administration.

I fear tomorrow may be worse as I'm meeting a couple of mates tonight for a catch up so if you're in Brum pop into the Old Contemptible's and say hello.
    Oh DElboy
    You have taken me back.....

Hi Joan, Cris, Toni, anyone else I've missed..............right, all the chores are done for the mo, so it's time for a builders and a pasty....or maybe a pancake.............oh, to hell with it I'll have both, followed by a slice of lemon drizzle cake....or two slices...........it's lovely to be able to dream in words on here!

It started raining here a couple of hours ago and it looks as if it means business. I had a walk round just before it started and the river level had gone down a bit since yesterday so we might get away with it this time, I can hope, anyway.

That's me settled for a bit, I'll just have a quiet 5 mins and then I'll tidy up and clean round a bit. Has anyone been in the gents since Thursday to clean up?

Oooh, anyone heard anything from Val? She must be bad, poor girl.

I extra large pan of bacon fat, field mushrooms, bacon, black pudding and tomatoes. A large builders tea, plus an indigestion tablet just in case you need it.

    Hi folks
Sorry, I have missed the last 24 hrs or so. Had Swine flu jab frid morn. Felt fine, went to bed and slept right through to 8 30 a.m. Unusual for me. I'm normally up at 6 am as you know.
Got up and dressed, ready for a busy day.
Had to go back to bed at 11 a.m. so missed my shift in the cafe,....sorry......head aches, muscles ache..............cannot keep eyes open...................feel like I am in a capsule....can't describe it.....alucinating sort of thing. My OH ate the mushroom out of the garden....he's OK.

I think I'm going back to bed, bye

Ugh! Now I really have earned a large builders tea with lots of sugar!
Just had to deal with a very wet cat - soggy moggy wasn't in it - why does she go out in the rain? She's always done it, got no more sense than when she was a kitten.

Now I've had that little rant Hi to all, Chris, Trisher...hope you are all keeping dry..........it's been raining hard here for hours now. Still got our power, though so the river must still be OK.

I do hope you all keep safe. This is really bad now. I'm feeling guilty being here and not getting it as you are.

Please stay safe. If you are going to bed. Log in Tommow let us know you are ok.

Annie have you got your eye on that river??

Yep, Trish, OH thinks I'm mad, been hanging out of the bedroom window in the **** rain - we don't face the river direct, it's the only way I can see it without going outside. All OK at the mo.

A cuppa coming up and my evening meds - then it's some zzzzz for me (if I can, had a little nap this afternoon).
Need to lie down for a little anyway, I might be able to sleep.....knees giving me hell tonight, wonder why they've started up.
Oh, well, another day tomorrow. See all you peeps then...........at least if I can't sleep, I know where to come!

    Luv to all
