    Oh crikey, I'd have screamed and run a mile (if I could) if I had seen a snake. Mind you, I did stroke a snake at a show once very timidly. They feel so silky. I could never hold one
    Snakes, spiders, not for me. I've got a cold shiver going down my back just thinking about it.

    Now, what can I have to eat that good for dieting. It's awful when fancy something, like fancy a crumpet, I then use to have 3 maybe. Now, I can only have one. It's called cutting down. I'll be having my main meal on a teaplate soon :cry: I suppose I had better have a ginger and apple tea now.

    That's exactly what I do, Joy - put my meals on a tea plate! I can then see exactly what I am eating. It worked for me.

    Pixy/Jan there are microwave wheat bags 'under the counter' - just ask and we will heat!!
    Small plates sound like a great idea for weight loss :)
    Having kitten trouble at the mo....she keeps spiking my fingers....thinks I am tapping the keyboard for her!

    Ooooh, crumpets...........hot, dripping with melted butter..........about 6 for me, please and a large builders to go with them.
    I've brought some beef and veggie soup in and some veggie soup without the beef and some leek and potato soup.
    Hope we can get some cream and eggs tonight, we seem to be out of them..........

    Hi, Trish, here's your buttered crumpets...........they're lovely, I've just had 6.........and I'm stuffed!

    I asked about Val a few days ago, but no-one seemed to have heard anything. Hope she hasn't still got the shaking..........she had flu a while ago, didn't she, hope it's not something to do with that.

    She was here a couple of weeks ago, she said she has been out clipping some trees. She said she felt all shakey after that. Unless Toni knows what wrong with her.

    Hi Everyone,

    Oh a break in the winds...... :D:D:D We had 40 mph ones half the day and they are coming back only they are meant to be joining up with some of their mates and getting stronger......... :? I hope its being kinder to all of you.

    I stupidly lost my footing in the swamp :shock: I landed on my knees and its not done either them or my hips much good :roll: I am a fool and put both hands out to stop nose diving the mud and that meant the wrist took a bit of pounding a well :? My back is killing me cus that wasn't going to be out done now was it?! :lol::lol::lol: Oh the joys of winter :wink::lol::lol:

    I should love some veggie soup and a large builders as well as a bucket of energy.......

    I also hope Val is ok? She hasn't been about for a bit has she? Val if you look in a ((( ))) for you.

    If poss could I have a couple of heat pads and can someone help get my wellies off (posh wellies....... not very good treads though cus they been worn quite a bit :wink: ) and I hope you all have had a reasonable day. x

    Hi everyone! Nice to see you all in here, like a bit of company.

    I've been OK here, Cris - the river hasn't much clearance left, but they put new drains in in the summer and they do seem to be helping. It's been dry this afternoon, but very gusty. Several trees down in the river which isn't helping.

    Val's username is Valval; do hope she's OK and not had some kind of kickback from the bug she had.

    Mmmm, I think I'll have a large builders before going off for some zzzz's and maybe a cream cake or two...or three.

    well here I am again late at night slipping into the cafe as all alone at home. and need a bit of a hug. even rehab has left me.
    feeling right sorry for my self can I have a cuppa, didn't realise val had a bug hope she is ok.
    mellman is still moaning with his man flu.
    after my cuppa do I.
    1 try and go to bed.
    2 go to the spare room
    3 sit here and answer every post till early hours.

    and just to make things abit more interesting I have a boil on my bum just wear my knicker lastic sits. didn't think people still got boils. its a bloody great big thing. I've tried to pop it when I came out of the bath but it would'nt spurt.
    sorry forgot I was in the cafe.

    I've jusr read online that you put warm porridge on the boil and let it set? also I remember as a child my grandfather telling me that as a prisoner of war in asia somewhere cant remember, they took turns sucking the boils out for each other. hows that for sick.!!!
