If you remember I said that I had itchy feet with the thoughts of Capri so rang my friends in Eboli, said that we would like to go to Amalfi and Capri again.
They said they were going in September to Amalfi where Antonio's brother in law, a banker, has retired to Capri. Knew he was retiring a few years ago, but didn't know he had retired there.
So it looks like we might be tagging along. Got to get all the planning done now. It is going to be a very expensive year, but we only have to find the air fare out or we go by train. Excellent trains in Europe. If we fly to Rome, which is quite cheap, you can then catch a train which goes to Naples and it stops at Eboli and Positano and many of the places in the Bay of Naples. It is very cheap too. The whole journey would be about £30 each. You can also get good flights by Easi Jet to Rome. The only problem will be Holiday Insurance. This willdepend on that the Cardiovascular Clinic find on the 11th March with OH. We have to find an Insurance Company that will take us both.

Hi Joy
That is fantastic that the cruise has inspired you to go to Italy :!: I also love Italy, and looking up Capri and Sorrento again has made me nostalgic and wanting to return. I hope you will have a wonderful time.0 -

Hi Julie
If you hang around in Positano for a while, you might meet someone rich and famous there. That's where all the jet-setters go, I believe. But remember that money without love is worthless. I know it does help a bit though :!:0 -

We will have to look out for someone who looks rich and then all go like this

Val Julie Not like that Annie what do you think if someone rich came past if he saw you like that!!!0 -
Hi all
PHEW :!: :!: I'm only just back from Vesuvius :!: Fat Kev and I got lost on the way back, and we got a little singed round the edges :!: :shock:0 -
Trishhhhh.....can't help it, that's the way my face goes.........not a pretty sight!
I found a beautiful shell, look, all pinky and blue.........I think I'm a bit damp now.....did anybody go past? Rich or not?
Joan, you do smell a bit singed.......have a quick rinse in the sea. Hope you didn't have to run too fast...where is Fat Kev? He's not fallen in, has he?
Annie0 -
I bet you are exhausted after going there but isn't it marvellous?
All those roads and the size of the boulders. The mummified remains . It's hard to imagine it but apparently Naples and the area are at risk of it happening again within 10 - 25 years. They are measuring the ground and the amount it is swelling. The whole area is rising. This way, they have an idea when they can begin evacuating Naples.
Have you ever been to Paestum. That is remarkable too. It has one of the largest cities of the Greco?Roman in Southern Italy. It's not far from Eboli and our friends son and daughter had their wedding receptions at one of the luxurious hotels there. It's a favourite for filming Italian weddings. Beautiful beaches too.

This is Fat Kev now
He's got no stamina, that man :!: :!:0 -
Well at least we know what he looks like. Funny is'nt he.
Joan you need to go and rest up, we are loving it here, sun sea sand and no men yet.
