I had a PM from julie47, our very own flamingo, she's a little down. Her stump is still bleeding and she is very uncomfortable. Julie, keep your chin up my girl: you have the guts, determination and spirit to get through this, and we're with you all the way. Any op, no matter how big or small, unsettles one in a myriad of ways, and unfair tho it is, sometimes things get worse before they get better. I am thinking of you, and sending you some more hugs ((((())))) and healing thoughts. DD

Hi there Julie
Sorry to hear the wound is taking longer to heal than you expected. Take things easy for another few days.
Is the district nurse coming to see you? If not, is it worth calling your GP or the hospital for some advice tomorrow?
Take care

Hi hun, it's me. I hope you don't mind that I started this thread: I hope it helps ( just a little) to see that people here care and are willing you better! I hope you had a reasonably comfortable night, and managed to get some sleep. Hang on in there girl, you can do it. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

oh DD Just seen this thread and thankyou to you and everyone else.
Rich changed dressing yesterday and said it was quite a deep hole and only 3 stitches so it might take me more time to heal.
The surgeon was gonna leave a open wound but said he would stitch it if poss. I think he compromised.
Today on the dressing looks as if it has weeped abit, the nurse is due on friday. If it doesn't look any better tonight when OH changes it then I will request a visit tomorrow. On friday the nurse said she was ok with it.
I have it propped on a box at the moment while typing this, not comfortable so please excuse me if i don't come on site as often. I still need you guys and you helped me before the op and i won't forget that. you always mke me feel better thankyou xxxxxxx0 -
