Oh that's my girl! Morning hun, you do sound a little brighter today and that gladdens my heart. Regards to you both. Is Richard at home with you today or has he had to open the salon? DD

    Julie

Try not to worry too much. It does happen, honestly. I went through the same thing. It just sets you back a bit.

I have sent you a Pm about why the surgeon did not put a lot of stiches in it.

I hope that you will read it.

Remember, I'm here for you and you know you can ask me anything I will answer as quick as I can.

I had a bit of a set back this morning not felt too good but I'm still here for you ok?

These are to cheer you up I wish they were real.

Morning pf, how goes it today? I hope you had a reasonably comfortable night and that things are not too bad this morning. I'm doing the mid-week lottery today: if I win an amount over £500 I promise you that wi-fi lappy. DD

    Morning every one

Had a good sleep last night again :o

The stump still feels fat but doesn't look it really. It has changed shape but that isn't surprising it has had surgery. My body however , thats always changing and is surprising , where did i pick up that spare tyre, .
Will be doing that dvd in a couple of weeks to try and get rid.

Hope every one quite well hugs to you all. will let you know if stitches are removed on fri and what nurse says.

    julie pf xx

    Morning everyone

    DD meth stabbing, sounds painful.

Is meth in a injection more potent and better than tablet form?
    I am on tablet.
I also notice on this forum that when ever you are on antibiotics you all come off methx. I have never come off it , I am on antibi now
for my elbow(might help stump too) but still takin it.
I have always questioned it as it says in the leaflet.
Doctors must have different opinions eh?

Anyway not feeling too bad thank you to everyone for askin.
Hole not lookin too bad but I guess It will take time to close.
After all all the rubbish we take med wise its gonna take time isn't it. Just thought after op it would heal within a week and new leg on within three. not gonna happen.
Anyway I have you lovely people to keep me company.
OH is taking tomorrow and friday off. I am looking forward to that.

    Bye for now

Hello julie47pf. Injected meth is just another form of meth, but it seems to be used when someone cannot tolerate the tablet form. They started me on that but I developed meth rash, so I was taken off that pronto (just in time for a beer festival!) then a few months later I started the jabs. To my frustration I am not allowed to do them myself, I have to go to the hospital every week. Grrrrrrrrrrrr. Meth does inhibit healing, I have noticed that if I aquire a cut or bite they both take ages to heal: given your current circumstances I am amazed that you are still taking the tablets. Docs do vary in their views on this: I am not stabbed if I have a sore throat or cold, or any other sort of infection. I've just finished a week on anti-bios (given to sort out a boil) and they methed me last week regardless: last time I had one they didn't - go figure!

Having an open wound (like you) I really would query if you should still be on meth - it isn't going to help much, in my humble opinion.

I'm glad that you and Richard will have a couple of days together - always a good thing! The Husband is working at home today and tomorrow, so I am on tea and coffee duties. V dull. DD

Morning. I am sorry to report that I didn't win a bean. Pointless exercise, spending a £1 to win nothing! I hope you had a good night - I know Richard is at hime today - might you be able to go out or is that not on the cards at all? My suspicion is the latter - I hope you two have a good day anyway. DD

    Hi DD

I gave up on lottery as it always depressed me. I could only ever get 2 numbers tops.

Rich and I have been to some lovely gardens in Harrogate. They are not very big but had some beautiful flowers. :)

I rested my stump on my other leg while out in the chair, a bit uncomfortable but hey I was out the house. In the car I had a giant cushion on the floor to rest it on.

Got nurse coming tomorrow , see what she says about stitches.

When Rich is here I can get out. It is when he is at work I am stuck in (at the moment). I hope you have had a good day DD and every one else. Love Julie pf xx :)

Hi Julie, glad you had an outing - like gold-dust they are when you are otherwise on house-arrest.

Iris's and Marion's scars took longer to heal due to meds too ... hope yours hurries up. I know all about impatience ...(guilty as charged!!)

    Speedy
I have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.

Oooh! I liked Harogate, The Husband and I went there a couple of years ago, he went to the Turkish baths and I shopped. It's a lovely place. How close to it do you live? It's a lovely part of the world around there - I liked Skipton very much too. I'm glad you got out - it does help to leave the house from time to time! What's on the agenda for tomorrow?

I've just read tilly's post - I'd forgotten the nurse was coming! Well done tilly for remembering, I'm sorry I forgot pf. DD

    Hi Julie

Glad you managed to have an outing today. Garden sounds lovely. I think that just getting out of the house for a while does a power of good doesn't it? Good luck with the nurse tomorrow.
