Well i got on me bike and called in on my lot. 3 days is too long to go without seeing Sucré. Loanda is up and eating after all day today and yesterday in bed.

Sucré was delighted to see me and soon settled down for me to read him his latest library books. Did you know elephants can’t jump? Not sure I did! His face when he saw one for real at the zoo a couple of weeks back was just brilliant.

I hate to admit it but it’s definitely riding the bike that is causing extra pain. Oh well. Keep going as long as possible. 😁 at least the ride over was DRY 😳

    Frogs look great Reshmi.

Hey Frog I saw a lovely old 911 in the High St today. It was on black and white plates so was an old one. Made me think of you. Couldn’t get fone out quick enough for a pick. Quite often see them as there is a Porsche specialist about a mile out of town.

Sounded great as he accelerated away. I was jealous.

    Hi toady

    how are you today?

i understand about dosa, new foods can either feel great on one’s stomach or wreak all sorts of havoc, can they not? It was interesting, the other day I was doing a bit of research on dosa, as it were and discovered that they were in fact invented by a man with an orthodox Hindu upbringing who wasn’t supposed to have fermented foods, so he rebelled by creating the fermented rice pancakes, which was very interesting to me, as i didn’t realise the rice was fermented, it makes you wonder though doesn’t it? What goes in a lot of foods which we might think are relatively harmless? I mean my stomach can obviously tolerate the savoury pancakes but I can’t see it agreeing with the giant stomach, to bring back another idea lol, remember the hay fever - ridden giant nose in the sky? Talking of which my own slightly smaller hay fever- nose is in a terrible state, but maybe not a suitable topic of conversation while we’re stuffing our faces on the sympathy biscuit night - shift lol.

mums a bit better than yesterday thanks 🙏

I’m hoping to go to the group tomorrow

have a good night toady tc xx

ps more Spock humour lol xx

    Hi @Jewels1973

    how are you today?

just got round to reading your potted history

    I’m also in my forties

so very sorry to hear about your mum passing

my mother had a kidney transplant, so I’m of course very grateful she’s still here but life is v difficult for her and I help her as much as I can

you’re absolutely right about attitudes to pain and honesty here👍

no one says pull yourself together, it’s not a big deal, your pain matters less than mine and all that kind of rubbish

hope you have a good night and tc xx

    Hi all 👋

Just a quick line as have been on the phone and am a bit of a spent force. So sorry about your sad news frog 😥 I won't dwell on it but glad you could be there for them both (sunny place + pussywillow 🌿sniff), big hugs for the two of you xx. Things quiet with me today, turned out quite nice but haven't really been outdoors, had to reluctantly wash my hair (where do the knots come from, you'd swear I never comb it 😣) also quite tiring. Yes we will plot gardens, no pun intended, at least it's company to have both not done so well but I'd rather you had had a better year, that would be something! Glad the cover is ideal 👍️ my ebay item turned up, the silly person had paid up for 1st class sig - which I didn't even have to sign for - hardly made anything on the item, I wish people wouldn't do daft things like that 🙄. More chat tomorrow, love to all xx

Hello joan, I am going to pretend I didn't hear that, about the rain 😱 oh dear, what a summer. My parcel turned up - just a couple of items to help organise my little office space - they overpaid on the post, there was no need. Has been a quiet day I have mostly just put the kettle on, halfheartedly started a few jobs, I feel like I've forgotten something I should have done 🤔 hopefully nothing vital. Have a good evening :) xx

Hi bosh, glad your mum is feeling better 👍️ hope the Thursday appt is ok no waiting around etc. EF are ✈️ tomorrow then, yes I hope stray separated littleys on the plane is not as potentially ooky as it sounds! 😬 . Have not done much today I am glad that I'm off the phone and it's my biccie-eating shift, will be good now and go off to bed now. Interesting about the dosa, there is something instinctively offputting to me when they talk about things being fermented, yet it's meant to be good for digestion in some way 🤔 sauerkraut and whatnot, unless I'm mixing something up here. Anyway I can never quite bring myself to embrace the idea. Hope you can get to group tomorrow or if not at least a small walk. Good luck again for your Mum's test (which I thought was Thurs when I started typing but I see you've said it's tomorrow?) Sorry this is quick more next time 👋 :) xx

Hello to Julie & hope your day has been as good as possible, family too. So sorry your bro has the long covid, did you & your Dad manage to avoid covid altogether? it's an awful thing (long c) and of course with ME would be last thing you want. You sound like you do very well as a 'collective' 👍️ we're all a bit motley one way & another, not to mention motheaten in places! Have a good night and love to Mr Thomas (that is my kind of cat's name by the way 😊 lovely that he is a rescue xx).

'night to keef, hope it's as pain-free as poss; blah to the fact that the bike is causing or contributing to it 🙄. Have you clicked buy yet.. it does seem only fair if you have parted with one guitar, replacing it is just maintaining the status quo (wrong band 😬). Is it mainly music you listen to when resting or talky stuff? Glad you've seen family today & Loanda is on the mend xx

    'night all 😘 xx

Hi Reshmi, I looked up that drug. It sounds very powerful and was used as a chemotherapy agent. My main problem with most of the drugs they have tried me on is the side effects. Unfortunately if it says may affect 1 in eleventybillion people, I am the 1.

anything even remotely ototoxic sets off my tinnitus and as my music was the only thing I lived for for a few years I was very reluctant to try new stuff. The tram keeps it under control and although there are reports of sudden deafness using it, I take as little as possible and hope for the best.

I didn’t mean to be flippant in the way i answered previously and I hope it didn’t come across as such.

I'm back gosh it's chucking it down now 🙄

Morning Joan. How are you today? Yes Kari is consoled knowing her dear pusskin is free from pain she had a fabulous life with her. She had been a rescue having been forced to have many litters and caged. When she first moved in with my sister she was an indoor cat - they were up in Scotland as you'll remember. When they moved down here she ventured outside into the safe garden for the first time in the sunshine and that was it! She never looked back🙂 she was so happy. Ah well such is life you've been through it as have I, but they are worth the pain when they go. Every minute of it. Take care ((())) xxx

    Morning Reshmi.

How are you? It was very kind of you to look after your Mum and sacrifice your own walk. Good news that her tum was recovering yesterday - hopefully even better today🤞

(Don't you worry about me my stomach is almost back to 'normal' now. You understand I know)

Your Mum will miss EF very much though if they are off 🛬 the boys will love it there. I hope it's not too hot though. Gosh I do hope they can all sit together in the end. The boys - are they young enough to sit on their parents' laps still?

There will be plenty to eat for BIL there won't there but no cookery lessons for us from the 'master-chef'!!!

Love the toad and frog rice balls!! I might have to see if the recipe can be veganised!

Oh dear Spock those dashboard lights are infuriating!

    Take care ((()))

    Morning Keef.

Oh dear poor Loanda. I am sure Sucré is having the best day with his Grandies. Even better that you saw him and he enjoyed his book. I can imagine elephants might find jumping tricky and well we'd all feel it if they did!!!!

Lying down listening to the radio. To be fair some days have to be like that. Think on the guitar. If you can afford it why not? It's your life and we all deserve small pleasures don't we? Like riding a bike which causes extra pain, but helps your mental health....

Gosh I will not buy anything which might tazer me😮 That's scary. Is the battery powered one safer do you think?

That 911 sounded as though it was well-smart. Never mind you might get a pic later.

This is what I saw this morning

I retreated quickly to give him space I could see there were others in the trees on the left.

A quick hello to Julie. Did i miss you yesterday sorry if I did.😳

I hope your day is a good one. Take care.

Morning Toady Hope you are ok today. Well done coping with the phone call yesterday.

My sister is doing ok bless her. I have a lot of cat paraphernalia to rehome but I think i know where. Yes the garden the tree all should be well. That's it now my sis is here to stay. Thank you.

You washed your hair! Well done. I have no idea where the knots come from either. I blame the wind.

Would you believe I just went for a walk, got soaked and now the sun is out?🙄 Yes you would!

Off to the foodbank in a minute to see what's there. I wonder how much of our village's £750 donation of food is still there🤔 not much I bet.

Glad your item arrived - silly person they won't make money like that will they? Most people will wait for standard delivery.

I genuinely think a lot of people (apart from Monty I suppose) have struggled this year with the weird weather. We will enjoy a winter of (yes!) plotting and planning.

    Hope your day is good

Hi Toady, sorry i missed your question about listening to radio, well it’s normally music, but if it’s not to my liking I have a few go to albums. Behind the Sun by Clapton is one of my all time favs, but Bonamassa and Andy Timmons have been creeping in a lot too lately. Check out Timmons doing a version of Bowies Heroes. There’s also a band on YouTube called the Martin Miller covers band. They do a version of Layla with Lari Basilio that is the best version I’ve ever heard. Lari is from Brazil and is a qualified barrister but chose to try and make a living at guitar. I could go on all day about music but I’ll shut up and go back to playing my guitar now as I’ve had a pain enforced break.

    Hi all 😊

It's turned out lovely now that I've knocked off for a bit of an afternoon rest 😕 seems to like doing that these days. Yes I would believe it did more or less the same to you frog this morning 🙄 lovely pic though, beautiful damp or not. Hope it didn't do the same on the foodbank run, I suppose you were driving or maybe not, but anyway maybe you have a bit of sun now too. All quiet here - my ebay item turned out to be wrong after all that 😣 I have no luck 😂 well if pressed I would have to admit human error comes into it most of the time somewhere, sketchy research on account of impatience, etc. Wrong info in title in this case but I could have spotted clues in the picture and specs. Never mind, couldn't possibly send it back, so am improvising with it 😄 it's only some metal office stuff. Lots of mousies in the mouse corner today btw, so the mouse dynasty goes on, Mr & Mrs B fine too. So many things making seed pods etc, all far too autumnal for me 😱. Have a nice afternoon & love to all :) xx

Hello Joan, hope you & Sue are well & have some sun. My day is quiet thank you, nothing much to do, I remembered what I should have done which is pay some bills, but they weren't late. My ebay item was the wrong colour, it was not described properly - my fault for not checking. I have had the paint pot out 😂. There is something to be said for washing your wig and leaving it on the line, not having to wrestle with it & the hairdryer yourself 😄 hopefully I won't come to that though. We should all just have fur, much nicer, and warmer as well. Love to both :) xx

Hi bosh, hope things going ok with you even if tired after group, there is probably some Glucozade safely under lock & key at the back of a cafe cupboard if the worst comes to the worst. Hope the hay-fever nose no worse as well🤞. I learned the other day that you don't lose as much of your body heat through your head as they used to say you did, so maybe come the cold weather I could scale down to 3 hats 😄. Nothing much going on with me, going through some old paperwork etc and trying to get it under control (I hardly use the phone, how have I got 100s of bits of paper with telephone numbers on?! 🤔). Must have a walk soon I think I've used up my notese excusing me now since the long walk to drs. Hope EF got off ok and of course that things still improving with your mum. Have topped up the Spock jar with shortbread fingers - maybe they will form themselves into the Vulcan salute 🖖😉. Bye for now :) xx

Sorry teddy had to go in the corner keef (long time since I've heard that! If I had one mine would be there so often it may as well have its own chair & stay there 😬). Did you mean the front bike tyre isn't happening or no point as it's too wet to go out. Thanks for the music recommendations I will check out those, the Bowie cover that sounds like my sort of thing. I get appalling earworms these days, far more than I once did, stuff gets stuck for weeks on end in some cases and it really has put a crimp in music for me 😕 blast. I still listen but fall back on audiobooks or podcasts too. Hope family still improving :) x

Wave to @Jewels1973 😊 hope things ok as poss with you x

    Love to all 😘 xx

    Hi Keef

    how are you today?

Its ok about the methotrexate thing, no worries there.

Sorry lots of medicines cause you problems

The steering wheel is just a bit of a joke at my brother in law’s expense- I call him “Bill” on here - he loves to eat but can’t cook anything at all - he seems to think that’s his wife’s job - oh dear.

    bye for now tc. x

    Hi toady

    how are you today?

thousands of paper notes that sounds very much like me, lol

my hay fever nose is actually slightly better today thanks, maybe thanks to the rain 👍

mum saw the gp today, she thinks that mum is over the worst of the stomach problem - she’s about the same as yesterday, no deterioration, so that’s a very good sign, thanks

I went to the group today, even though I was v tired due to helping mum etc, also was trying not to make too much noise so ended up temporarily losing my glasses and forgot my leather gloves, so in the end left without specs or the nice warm fairly hygienic gloves, luckily I can see fairly well without the glasses, it’s mainly reading from a distance without glasses on that I have trouble with.

RR was pretty depressing today, he started talking about which hypothetical diseases he could live with and which ones he would request euthanasia for - I mean what kind of conversation topic is that? Anyway J the organiser was there too, which was nice, was also nice to get out of the house really.

sorry toady had to relocate etc so have completely lost my airplane of thought but at least my seat was not unaccompanied- LA was there with me eating all the sympathy biscuits I made do with a pot noodle fried in bills hair gel my goodness now there’s an appetite suppressant.

    good night toady tc xx

    ps some hairdresser humour xx

    Hi Toni

    how are you?

glad your stomach is more or less ok

Mum is about same as yesterday thanks

but she saw GP who said that she should be over the worst of stomach problem now

her blood test is tomorrow early morning

she said that she’ll get a buggy if she feels weak, so just her and dad are going tomorrow

she’s in better spirits now, two days ago she was broken, bless her, I felt so sad.

vegan frog and toad balls that sounds great lol

LA sat unaccompanied and out of sight😱

I think you’re right BR sat in a lap or just next to a parent or something like that luckily

how many lady babies’ mobile numbers LA acquired during the flight - we may never know lol

Bit tired now, so have a good night Toni tc xx

hi @Jewels1973 how are your pains today? Sorry bit tired right now but have a nice night tc xx

@bosh Lovely to speak to you thank you very much about my mum it sort of hits harder this close to her birthday but as my Auntie said we would be doing a disservice to them to not remember the happy times (mums brother passed 3 weeks after her) very weirdly so it’s always a weird time this time of year. Well in quite a lot of pain to be honest don’t know if this has happened to anyone else or whether it’s just something normal. A couple of weeks ago my neck cricked and I couldn’t get out of bed I hadn’t had this since I was small like about 5 years old well today the same thing happened I don’t want to attribute everything to whatever kind of arthritis I have but I get a really bad pain at the base of my head and my right arm really really hurts more than usual. Last time it cleared up after 2 days with a scarf around my neck and sort of sitting still but doing neck exercises so hopefully the same will happen this time. I hate spending time in bed but that’s all I could do.

Just wondered if any of you lovely people had had that? Also should I mention it to my GP when I have my telephone appt next Thursday? I don’t want him focusing on that when it’s only happened twice. Also I got another text from my doctors today saying that my doctor wants me to have a blood test so fingers crossed 🤞 that might mean he is getting stuff together for a referral. He has all my other notes.

Hello to everyone 👋 hope you are all ok

@bosh I’m glad about the news about your mum.

    @toady 👋 back at you 😊

@frogmorton Sorry to hear about your sisters cat.

@dachshund Hope things are ok with you.

Hi Reshmi, I do all the cooking in my house. I like providing a nice meal for my 2, especially when Loanda has been out at work. To be honest my OCD is so bad I don’t like anyone else cooking from a hygienic perspective. I was like it at work too, if an important job came in I would always do it myself, as I didn’t trust anyone else to do it, save one person who I would have trusted with my life.

Loanda occasionally does some cake baking, and I do all the measuring out of ingredients coz she hates doing that. We included Sucré now and he enjoys helping.

Banana pancakes has become a bit of a routine for breakfast at weekends and Sucré never turns them down.

Hey Jewels, I am definitely with you on the neck thing. Mine can go at any time. Even slightly bumping along in my wheelchair can put it out, then it’s migraine city till it’s back in.

Hey Toady, no I just couldn’t be bothered to ride in the rain and then have the pain of cleaning the bike, so tyre fitment is postponed. I normally drop the wheel out myself and take it to the local tyre place in Loanda’s car, but I thought I’d do a ride in ride out service at the BMW dealer like most normal BMW owners, which is 20 minutes ride away. Wish I’d gone with the first option now. TBH I’m not in a rush for the tyre. It’s not like it used to be with me and bikes where I’m stressed unless the bike is perfect. It’s causing me a lot of pain riding so I’m more into the music.

Hi Toni, all good with you I hope.

Hi Dashchund, how are the sausages? Sucré says sausage now when he sees a dashchund being walked.

Well I actually allowed myself a glass of red this evening so now I’m off to bed. Think I might have one mug left for tomorrow’s MMS.

Who have I forgotten ? Sorry if i have.
