Have had workmen around to quote at very very short notice 😮 within no time of having just sat down after al fresco, so it was all a bit 😱. Saying nothing 🤐 until I see what happens with them next I only mention because it's why I'm a bit of a wrung-out rag & it will be a short post til tomorrow.

Frog glad at least one of us had a nice day yesterday! 👍️ especially as you topped it off by winning your auction 😊. I have a little trivial thing tomorrow myself must try not to forget, opening 99p bid is on it so far but it's not important I get it. All shopping in, some of it has even been put away properly 😄 would have been less again if Sleek hadn't helped 😽. The bics are all here but shouldn't I have 4 doughnuts, not 3? Hmm 🤔😄. Hope everyone ok today, proper chat tomorrow hopefully :) xx

Good luck with the new neighbour Joan, I hope she is someone that doesn't mind the foxes. Sorry about your heating, did that mean no hot water or is that separate. The drip stopped with the rain I suppose it will be back 🤨. It actually was a not half bad day today, I didn't ring the doctor's in the end I will keep an eye on the weather as I have to walk there, will try the next couple of days for maybe a same day cancellation. We went to the cinema with LA today and saw a cartoon film where one of the super Mario brothers went to mushroom land and befriended a mushroom called toads, no less!!

I said “Warner Brothers (or whoever made the film), this isn’t right, expect a lawsuit”, I was going to finance legal proceedings, but cheese sandwich - buying has left very few coins left in the purse of bosh, so you may have to sell some biccies, lol, or failing that some of your hats, I’ll say they’re 100% cashmere, don’t worry trading standards will only investigate if they run out of bribes in the form of chicken nuggets - let’s hope LA hasn’t eaten them all.

'night again bosh, just to clear up my comments otherwise I'll be having a lawsuit as well from DIY Dad and my surgery lol - I meant E Musk who has taken over tw*tter and is making all sorts of changes (my code name for him was obviously an overcomplicated alias too far, sorry!) no nobody has been disturbing my birdies, thankfully 😊. The surgery could offer me something, just not at a v good time, they suggested the hospital to be helpful I suppose but with drs being busy I'm sure it helps them too if you go to the hosp. That's not convenient at all though so I'll just try for a cancellation. Actually I've remembered I think that you can press 1 straight away and cut through all (or some) of the recorded bits so will try that next time.

You are probably right there about unusual cars and motorbikes. Most people use their vehicles to get them form A to B whereas we love ours for their quirkiness. Happy to be on the dark side!

It's odd what you can't take with another medication. The Over the counter stuff especially. I don't think you can take lemsip with some meds either possibly amitriptyline???. I make our own anyway. Vegan Honey, soluble.paracetamol and a little sugar if needs be.

Hope you get your blood test done soon. So frustrating isn't it? Especially when they want us to have them! It's the same here if you can they want you to go to the hospital for them. To be fair they do get the blood better quicker and more easily, but getting there isn't easier for us!

I see your shopping order was all present and correct. Sleek is very helpful at putting shopping away. She even gets it in the right cupboards mostly. With regards to the missing doughnut though.....she gave me a very sweet sugary face bump when she got home yesterday afternoon......🤔

Morning all, scary night last night. Had to call ambulance around 3 am. Woke up feeling terrible and couldn’t catch my breath. My oxymeter was saying 89% at one point and my heart was racing. After an hour of waiting for ambulance I had calmed down a bit and when the crew arrived, who were really nice, they said i was okay.

Raining solid, so internet it is 😉 just won my little auction frog (over what I hoped but only a bit so I'm happy); I'm glad I used the auto snipe because it did something very odd at the end - the clock ticked down, it took what was my last min bid and said 'ended', but then seemed to start counting down a few more seconds, then a couple more bid jumps and end again!! Never seen anything like it! Yes a little bit of silly shopping perks me up nicely, I feel sorry for men who don't like it, what does that leave for fun? Sport? Pah, poor things 😉. Quieter today slept til 20 to 10 haha. So glad the chap wanted to come yesterday because although short notice is usually a nightmare, because of the grocery shop I was up, dressed & compos mentis, usually one of those is good going for me, 2 max 😂. Hope Fig is happy no drips & leaks, lovely to have the radio & added mod cons (is that more than you could do before ie audiobooks etc?) Glad the film was no worse than just a bit meh, I really can't see the fascination with Barbie myself at all 🤷‍♀️. No joy with the bloods yet but hopefully soon, there were some extras, just nothing suitable. How is your neighbour now she's at home, is she properly ok now? Have a good evening love to all :) xx

Hello joan, glad you are sorted and have hot water. Haven't finalized any workmen yet still waiting for quotes then have to make a decision 😬 at least they were nice. Glad your blood test & blood pressure were good 👍️. Theye were saying today that isometric exercises are even better for your BP than things like cycling etc and don't involve moving your joints - one exercise is pushing your back to the wall, knees at right angles like sitting down but without the chair. Try telling my knees that's easy on the joints 🙄. Have a good day, wet & dull but at least I don't have to go out in it. Love to Sue & the dear dogs :) xx

Hi bosh, lovely selection of teas & coffees today between everyone, nice to see 😀. Hope group and your day in general is going ok is it all quiet now. I had to look up Toad from the Mario film, one of the main characters, it said (smirk) seems to be a decent sort of a mushroom so that's good 😂. There is a Captain Toad and a Toadette too apparently. Do I need a hat like that, is the question 🤔. Do you know about the toad in the plot of Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? I won't say any more in case it gives anything away (just mentioning it doesn't in itself). Look forward to poem whenever the muse takes you 👍️. No bloods yet and I messed up part of my 'press this or that' plan and ended up making them call me back, so that didn't work out at all 😂. Have a good evening :) xx

Almost certainly that is COVID at least that's what our senior partner Dr here in the village would say. You'll know if you remain washed out (really washed out) for another few weeks after the main symptoms are over.

Scary when you can't breathe it can then bring on a panic attack which is terrifying. You did well to settle it yourself before the ambulance arrived.

How are the other two doing? Probably Loanda is very worried about you.

Wahay you won your auction! I wonder whether it gives extra time when a bit comes in at the millisecond before it finishes? I know car auctions do that if a sniper comes in. Little wins can lift our spirits can't they? No idea how men lift theirs!! Aha Bosh's BIL uses food! Sport is hardly comparable.

We had tea and birthday cake with the foster carers and a baby who was 1 yesterday and I broke a beautiful glass😣oh no! Hopefully I have been able to buy an identical replacement for it which should 🤞arrive today. I hope it's the same in real life because I feel very bad about it.

Yes it might have been a bit much having the builder quoting just after al fresco, but as you say you were at least up, dressed and ready for 'visitors'.

Fig seems watertight. Today i am allowed to open the soft top, but it's raining😂 I might give it a day or two extra anyway.

I couldn't answer the phone or listen to audiobooks before just CDs and the occasional radio station if I was lucky. Then the whole thing died on the way back from Luxembourg.

My neighbour is feeling pretty well yes still on ABs probably precautionary. The nurse comes regularly anyway so she's kept a good eye on. Thanks for asking.

Hallelujah I have an appointment 👍️ ideal time tomorrow, I tried once first thing & no luck, was just about to go a bit bull at a gate and go down there in the hope of them fitting me in, then tried again at midday and bingo 😊. All well & good but I hereby note for posterity that this is the new improved surgery, where you now need a fortnight's notice for bloods it seems, I never EVER had a problem getting an appt at the old supposedly inferior surgery. The irony 😠. Anyway now in gearing up for appt mode so will have to try & calm down for rest of day. Thank you frog for crossing your fingers it did the trick. Hope your day is ok but I am so sorry for you about the breakage 😥 I do feel for you I know you will feel bad. You reminded me of first reading about the Japanese art of kintsugi and their outlook on broken things, and thinking yeees, I do understand the merits of that, but.. 😔 very hard to really embrace it. I do hope the replacement is ok🤞. Glad your neighbour is doing alright and being monitored, that's good. What a shame you can't put the roof back on the first opportunity 😣 it's like that at the moment isn't it, timing is not on our side. Nice couple of sunny days now when I can't really get 'at' them, wet all next week (driest July on record, are they sure!). Have had a couple of spells in the garden though, I am getting bitten every time I go out it seems, have had some real nasties 😮 don't know what, doubt it's mosquitoes but if it is I feel almost sorry for them getting an unexpected mouthful of quinine off me 😄. My boilerman always has things to say about getting parts not being what it used to be, probably to do with ordering from an online system as well, nothing new ever changes for the better it seems 🙄. I was lucky with my appointment I only got that I think because the receptionist thought it was Friday already, and nearly didn't offer it to me 😮. Finally got my own appt thanks, I'll know in future to ring weeks ahead 🙄. Some places you can book things on the nhs app I'm not convinced mine does that, do you do anything online? I can only remember you talk about ringing in 🤔. Anyway hope your med dose change is ok for you. Glad you have the cold room back too, quite stuffy today even I think so. How is Balzac going, I am still on the book about the moon landings, that was ages ago. The book I mentioned (Do Androids Dream etc etc) is the one they based the scifi film Blade Runner on, though I haven't seen that, I just know the vague storyline. Hope all well with EF now they have their blueberry-muffin-eating littley back - catch up with you soon :) xx

Oh dear you are getting bitten. Is it lower down on your legs rather than face arms? If so it might be (dare I say it) fleas! Part of the life-cycle of a flea is in grass which is why pets bring them in unless you treat them like I do Sleek. She has 3 monthly drops on her back, but I get bitten.

Tomorrow I will spray that stuff that deters them because i am at a vegan camp out festival😊 (Yes I am going to stuff myself silly!) all grass so will get bitten like crazy if I don't.
