Here we go. The sun was out all afternoon yesterday and hopefully that's it the weather turning warmer😊

Morning Joan I was so lucky that my actual dentist was the one doing on call on Saturday I think. We had a lovely afternoon at the musical event. We just sat in the sun(!) and ate our sandwiches listening to music and chatting to the friends from the village we went with. Hope you and Sue are well? ((())) xxx

You were quite right to stay in. Those aches aren't helped by travel sometimes. If we are off somewhere I try to be as comfortable as possible. Take anti-inflams and painkillers and my click heat helps too. I even pack my tens if I am not the driver. I also have a wedge cushion which can help with my back.

There was active talk in the village yesterday of putting the heating on, lighting the fire etc, but then what a lovely afternoon!

It was good to be in the sun eating food and chatting to friends as well as enjoying a 'turn'. Easy afternoon. I did take an anti-inflam prior to going and was quite comfortable. Got our vitamin D too😊 No need for rugs at all even the wind had dropped!

Part of me was however thinking.....my garden needs me!

Poor Mrs B I hope her new feathers come through quickly she doesn't need that discomfort for too long. 🐦

Well done sorting the paper scraps and presumably stappling them together in a nice tidy pile. I will ask you about them in a year's time.

You have no direct descendants but there might be your own excess family to leave photos to? I don't have much faith in 'the cloud' after videos and floppy discs, DVDs etc become more and more obsolete. Photos that's it. Not much else matters of course back them up too if you can.

Was running late from the start today and have to pack a couple of nosegay items now (why can't buyers space themselves out 🤔) so it may be shortish. I say 'pack 2 parcels' like it's a day's work, it just seems to fill the space available like Parkinson's Law. How do people pack 10s & 20s of things 😮. Really is a very nice day frog 😊 glad you had a good evening yesterday. I slept ok too thanks :) no midnight tea. The dreadful scrap papers pile will be going in the shredder never to return, hurrah, having picked all through 'em to check I really don't need a number or note or something from god knows how long ago. I wish my telephone notes from talking to people didn't say things like 'ducks.. cousin.. pituitary gland.. dual carriageway.. Stanley Spencer (Cookham)..' but unfortunately they do 😂. Anyway what's left has been transcribed to a proper phone book or into one little folder, so no stapling 😀. Any luck getting in the garden today? How is the passionflower doing? Yes I agree with you about cloud storage, I don't keep anything there. Most of my photos are physical so if I wanted to back them up I'd have to get them copied/scanned & whatnot first. Some EF might want some things I suppose but there's really no-one on Mum's side, so that's the tricky bit. Ideally I want a Tardis sized boxroom, only accessible to me, and that seals itself up when I'm 'gone'. Achievable, surely 😄. Have a good Tuesday all of you :) xx

Hello Joan (and Sue) 😊 yes the blackbirds lose their feathers when it's warm enough for them to replace them, a bit at a time over a few weeks; August is peak time. I don't know if they vary that according to the weather, you'd think so - the internet says 'it's a mix of hormonal changes brought about by seasonal changes, also that many questions remain regarding the process'. Thanks about the parcel, it has to get to the US before I know if they're happy with it🤞2 little ones to do today but they're this country thankfully. Bruce Springsteen still does it, 3 hours without a break, when Loanda saw him in Madrid they had to turn the stage lights off and the house lights on to get him to stop lol

I think with the SDK (swedish death clean) you do keep a box of stuff just for you with a note (strict instructions, but who do I trust??) to destroy upon the event of your demise. Only problem is if I remember it's meant to be shoebox sized....🤔

Hi all 👋

Thought I might get a decent walk in today but it's drizzly & dull so I've reverted to indoor chores. Shame after such a nice day yesterday but some decent weather to come touch wood. Yes pics of the passionflower please frog, definitely 😊. Lovely to see Sleek today it was a surprise and we came to a very amicable arrangement with the Jammie Dodgers 😄. Then she helped me sort out some things for charity by helpfully telling me which clothes to part with that don't suit me 😂. That's because I got a charity bag through the letterbox this morning, for all sorts, often it is just ones that want only clothes I get so my eyes light up when I see bric a brac on the list 👍️. Shoebox of personal effects, well that's not going to happen 😄 even a very tall pair of boots' box. And yes who can be trusted with the destroy/do not open instruction 🤨. When you think of the pains academics go to, deciphering coded diaries that authors etc have left, presumably anti their express wish, then what hope for a bit of respect for the rest of us. I got all my parcels done but yesterday's has not progressed past the 'picked up' stage on the tracking, please don't let me have another RM issue 😱 I can quite see how Kari might be glad to hand over some admin etc, that side is the most potentially aggravating, hope it works out well for her (if she does do some delegating). I meant to say yesterday, no I hadn't come across 'BtB', they seem to be excellent at what they do, v professional/respected &c you'd think I would have heard of something that's been going that long worldwide 🤔 just hasn't crossed my radar. I'm popping in & out of nosegay on the spending side today, in order to enter a prize draw for 'hector points' 🐝 - not spotted anything in keef's league so far but who knows, the day is young 😂. Hello joan, all quiet with me today after yesterday's packing, just hope the parcels get off to a good start, one doesn't seem to have travelled far 🙄. I was going to walk to the tinfoil & plastic bag recycling nearest banks today but it's a bit horrible, maybe tomorrow. I wish they would pick up tinfoil, I think you said you have a few different recycling bins, do they take foil from you? All birdies fine but quiet, not nice enough for them either today. And they keep a low profile while their feathers are a bit tatty (don't we all 😄). Sorry your test results are slow. Love to both and the dear dogs :) xx

Yes what is it with vampire stomachs 🤔 always my worst bit too. Wonder what would happen if I kept night shift type hours. Still don't think I'd digest eggs waffles and biscuits (and heaven knows what time I'd have to have my gravy bath in the hot tub 🛁😄). I'm just as glad you only listened to a bit of song as it was a bit gloomy, I thought after it wasn't the best choice, I just remembered liking the line about the sheep counting. My night was not too bad but I had to get up for the 'stitching hour' milk delivery 🌘 and then not oversleep for the postman so it was a bit interrupted. Apparently Bill got in a big mood because LA forced him to put the Paw Patrol cartoons on his phone at lunchtime threatening him with a massive tantrum and a complete fast - at least until “ice cream hour” lol, well poor LA is just a littley after all, despite being a trainee ophthalmologist of course, lol and what would Bill really do with his phone at that time? No point phoning Kangaroo for a takeaway on holiday and he really doesn’t need to send me any more pics of prawns, just viewing the Las Vegas prawns online is already giving me indigestion- now that’s a new idea, Prawn Online Sore Stomach Syndrome, POSS for short, lol, a condition shared by Barack Obama, so when he said, “yes we can” he had actually flown to LV for his customary “shrimp with oatmeal breakfast” as they call it there, accompanied by our very own Bill no less, to discuss marital etiquette matters -should baked beans stay in the tin and all that, so “yes we can” is basically international political code for “can someone hand me the antacids please? “, ok that’s not strictly true haha.

oh yes a bit of a digression no doubt, but I badly needed a tangent lol

my eyes are a bit dry toady, thanks for asking I’ll definitely buy some form of eye drops tomorrow👍

the “all pharmacists are in cahoots” own brand eye drops aren’t too bad actually- also price isn’t extortionate 👍

Hey Toady, might be van rental as I might need to take my chair depending on what Loanda wants to do. I can walk about 10 metres before the pain is too bad now. If we go somewhere where she wants to look around I normally get to sit in the cafe and chill out looking on net and drinking coffee.

another wet day here Toni, but I did manage to get my new tyre before it chucked it down. Expensive but great workmanship, all the wheel fasteners and calliper bolts were marked with a dab of white bolt marker to show if they move and the red dot was lined up perfectly with the air valve. Last one i had done at tyre bay was 1/4 turn out and then he moaned it was difficult to balance. Dufus!
