It has to be decent weather although I managed an hour outside between drizzles.

Look carefully up the steps and Madame La Sleekipuss is there keeping an eye! As you can see the passionflower is taking off well although it really needs some sunshine for the flowers to open.

What indoor jobs did you manage? I did NONE none at all and proud of myself too🤭

Today it's the foodbank am, but will walk with Kari first and pick up Lucy's prescription and more cat food while I'm at it.

Sleek is great at telling you what to bin isn't she? Bless her she is very fashion conscious. She shared the biscuits? Excellent she can be generous. I have to agree about the shoe box how do we hide our private love letters from when we were 17? We must BIN them now sadly. Did I tell you I found my first love on facebook a few years ago and well put it this way I'm doing ok!😁

You got a decent charity bag? That never happens to me! Perfect just what you need I bet you felt good for that?

no I call my brother in law “Bill” on this site, yes he has indigestion and acid reflux but he can’t control his eating unfortunately.

Yes the kids cartoons can be very boring I know, but Bill uses his phone addictively to photograph food I’m not sure why.

I went to a mental health group thing today which was good but tiring.

Nice day and quiet apart from postie picking something else up this a.m. My other parcels are finally moving along, 2 days behind, in the one case it should already be where it's going but just relieved to see the tracking changing, eta should be tomorrow. Went for a reasonable walk, no useful recycling info though no tinfoil bank where there used to be one and can't find another - couldn't even find the list online I used to have, for which supermarkets take what 🤔. Will have to store it til I find somewhere & concentrate on what I can take, plastic etc. The charity bag won't be all that full frog having taken one myself the other day but it will help, trying to think of anything heavy that I couldn't take to a shop - probably only will, after they've gone. Hope you're having a good day, not too much to do on top of the food bank. Indoor chores yesterday, well now, does mucking about in the garage with hacksaws & vices count as housework? Oh good, that's what I hoped you'd say 😄. I will try and get in the garden this evening. The passionflower looks happy 😊 that's a very good start isn't it, and it is poised to flower, just a bit more sun as you say🤞. Oh, videos (Kari's for Etsy), gosh no thank you, couldn't do that at any price. Horror. New tech is beyond me even if I wanted to - I still think of vhs as comparatively new 😬 I never even had a dvd player. (Wonder why you can adapt to some things better than others - I had no trouble at all going from cassettes to CDs). So yes, can see that would be a heaache, hope she finds a happy medium. Are there any further reports of tantrums and squabbling over mobile phones coming in from Europe, hopefully nothing that will lead to one of those shameful news items of troublesome tourists being frowned upon and told they are not welcome 😱. If LAs opthalmic career doesn't work out, there's always tennis, he will have had grand slam experience of tantrums at major venues at home and abroad (I happen to have just been reading how badly Djokovic took his Wimbledon defeat haha). POSS, now there's a very insightful thought, and Americans do refer to things as being canned not tinned I think 🤔. Clearly yes antacids for Barack & Bill, I wonder how many more of these subtle diplomatic coded references just pass us ordinary people by all the time 😄. Hi Reshmi, well I actually spoke to my doc today. She sending me for hip x-rays as the new pain I described to her sounds like hip pain. I hope they will give me a bionic hip on the right side at least.

i know exactly what you mean about the therapy being tiring. My councillor got her teeth into something from my past and even though I didn’t want to discuss it she just carried on like a jack russel with a rat and in the end it all came out and I felt absolutely spent after, and after every session tbh

the song i wanted to post was the one I wrote and recorded for her. It was inspired by a painting on her office wall and our sessions.

Counselling is exhausting if you go into deep emotional stuff I think. I hope in the long run that you are glad you 'dealt with' that childhood trauma/issue/memory.

Yes my sister has promised to be careful. I will try to stay closer by while she is doing this reduction. She said it would take her 6 months at least. I am pretty sure it's that she thinks it gives her weight gain.

She's lost over 2 stone anyway due to eating healthier and walking most days.

How are you doing? I think today will be nice today and tomorrow but a rainy weekend🙄typical Paul will be thrilled.

Yesterday was extremely busy after the foodbank. I had to go to the vet to pick up Sleek's flea treatment, then Tesco for squash for Paul, then the pet shop for Sleek food then the pharmacy for Lucy's meds, then Lucy's to top up her monthly dosette🙄phew! and breeaathe!

Oh dear nowhere to recycle tinfoil😕 that's not good at all yes just keep it and recycle the bits you can easily for now. We are lucky we have a refill shop here (I went there this week too) where we can recycle almost everything.

Anything at all in the charity bag will help. Kari had a bag a few days ago I haven't had one since before COVID.

Good news the parcels are moving along as they should be albeit a day or so behind.

Mucking about in the garage is definitely not housework😊Kari does youtube art videos? They take all day then they need editing then the voice over doing. She is a glutton for punishment that girl. They are really very good though, she has 19.6 thousand subscribers.

I did exactly as you said with Bosh's pic🤭 aren't we predictable? But it was a lovely pic.

Poem for VC called “toady Queen of Hats”

I hate the sun so I bravely wear my sun hat and hide under its brim that’s so wide,

Somehow it feels like a Tardis, bigger on the inside

I hide from the postman who arrives at 4 am on the dot,

The hat cools my hot and angry head, so I don’t vaporise him on the spot

And when I see the milkman - I just utilise my psychic paper

So I get not just milk but also free cream for routine of coffee and morning paper

They call me toadstool or toady for short, I am a well - hatted lady,

The milliner’s best friend with alien powers - my only sin is that my nosegay business is “shady”.

You had a busy day yesterday frog, it was no use me wishing you a quiet one was it, lots of errands. Less today hopefully. It is a super day no doubt about it, had a lineful of towels dry in a trice and a 2nd line of washing out. The charity bag hasn't been picked up, which is most annoying as it turned out quite a good one in the end & I put it out in good time 🙄. Parcels have been delivered, phew 👍️. Hope family all ok today, I do remember I think that Kari's vids are youtube ones (to 'send' people to Etsy is that right), as you mentioned they were slow paying what they owed at one point iirc? That is a lot of followers! I actually would find the making of stuff to be stressful I think it's down to your nature (same with all crafts knitting whatever) so there's not much about what she does I could manage come to think of it! Make the tea? stick to your strengths I say 😄. Have a good evening :) xx

Hello joan, glad you had a nice day. You & Sue are amazing, not just for your age, strong capable people; I could not look after 2 dogs even now 😔. I have just seen Mrs B, I put her food in a nice shady discreet place so she could eat in peace & privacy with no-one looking at her new quill feathers, she has lots more now at her tail end. Have a good evening it is bins again already tomorrow! Just the normal black one for rubbish, paper & bottles etc is one week on & one off. Using pyschic paper on the milkman is the best thing I've ever heard, just genius. Shady nosegay business, me? assumes extremely innocent butter-wouldn't-melt face. Oh dear now we're back to butter again, there's no getting away from it. Does LA know the old folkore thing about holding a buttercup under someone's chin and asking 'do you like butter?', or are flowers just for lady babies 😉. Looks like we are all going to have to brush up our beauty routines if LA is scrutinising us & handing out moisturising advice 😱 it's as bad as the HD and conditioner, I think hiding under my sun hat is definitely the wisest thing all round! Anything is possible of course, but mum once told me that she doesn’t get stress - related stomach issues, but anyway the GP is looking into it, which is good, like you said. 👍

I don’t think LA meant wrinkles actually, he also didn’t say that I have rough eyes, I said it myself, lol, but just in the eye drop context, what happened is that mum told him that people should moisturise their skin otherwise it gets rough, so he’s learnt this word recently and likes calling things “rough”.
