LA is quite right Granny and Mima must be at BR's party. No question about it at all their presence is essential. Ok I wasted goodness knows how long google searching for a cake licking contest in Belfast and found only cake eating contests! I believe BIL has already signed up for that one? The competition is pretty fierce, but he is a man who has been in training for some time.🤔

Must get on have done very little so far today and ought to be dressed by now!

No you can't deliberately overripen bananas, but it will happen in time I'm sure. Glad the birds are having the crumbs and you saw Mr B. Bacon rind yuk and suet rolls are probably yuk too. I have some vegetable suet so might make my own. Do I have to catch the flies myself? or can I just put seed in do you think??

Sleek does love most things as you know sledges included - I take it you managed to dissuade any further purchases thereof?

We used to call that Hungarian dish cabbage squares as it should be made with homemade squares of pasta (noodles), but it needs egg so not that easy. When I was veggie not vegan I used to make that part myself too. Never added any mushrooms to it ever but would almost certainly work.

A cruise yes I'll book it this very day. Hah! the Caribbean. Nice and sunny aircon if Bosh gets too hot.

Morning thanks for the welcome I have a lot of different types of animals some that might be strange to some people but I do have furry animals too I have 2 jack russell dogs a cat and 4 guinea pigs which are mainly the kids but I do all the cage cleaning.

Hi all 👋 have found the cold really punishing today 😣 as it's the tail end of it I was hoping to have scraped through and hang on to the idea of it warming up but it's been v hard going. Will have to admit defeat today get off to bed early and see if I thaw out overnight 🙄 also have a ton of leftover phone calls letters and emails - have just heard that a cousin has passed away, very sad. Have not seen them or that side of family for many years which in itself is not a nice thought 😔.

Hope to see you all soon, my browser is also going to start to malfunction by the 14th if not updated which is also going to cause me problems to sort 😒.

Joan yes it is unthinkable that people are sleeping rough in this, I am struggling with my cold house and I have heating hot water hot food etc! Terrible state of affairs I believe some areas/councils have invoked special measures but can only do so much. Take care you will get those trousers on I know you will 👍😘 xx

The age where they want the cute animals but don't look after them properly?!!!😃 Mine are as bad if not worse now in their 20's and still have more animals than they cope with. So I am still helping even now. There are all sorts in their respective homes including dragons and snakes…..😮

I only have my puss and my aquarium with my two remaining fish two clown loaches. Will not add to the tank, but when one goes let the other 'move in' with my eldest daughter's fish.

I had to defrost the bird bath twice yesterday I expect you did too it really was incredibly cold. So much so that the Church Warden cancelled today's service as she can't get the temp high enough to be safe. That won't be a problem by next winter will it? Toilet kitchen and heating should all be in place.

Best not to think too much about people/animals suffering in these temperatures it's too distressing. Kettle on actually not hot chocolate on feel free to add some brandy if you need to😉

Poor Charley has the real flu so very ill. She is isolating from the baby and her wife fingers crossed they don't catch it from her. I will be doing a little shopping for them this morning.

I have unthawed somewhat, praise be 👍️ thank you frog, that vital couple of degrees difference, frost all gone 😊. And thanks to Elfie and his generosity (with others' spirits 😉😂), was a lifesaver, hopefully I don't look as glassy-eyed as he did the day before (he really did!) Having never been tipsy I have no idea if I would be a singer, probably best we don't find out 😬. Oh poor poor Charley, so sorry for her, there is so much flu about it seems 🙄😔 hope she was doing ok as of last word, do hope it doesn't knock her too much for six 😟. And everyone else ok 🤞. Thank you about my cousin, I do tend to expect everyone else to stay well & young, preserved in aspic as it were, it's always a shock to find they have aged behind my back 😔 if you see people regularly you are a bit more realistic. I have now spoken to the friend that had been in hospital too, that was fine, just relieved there was no more jiggerypokery; I could see the 'I've missed your call now you've missed mine' going on all week. Btw they reminded me it is not long til the Big Garden Birdwatch. No ice on the birdbath this morning, yes half an inch solid yesterday. Fed mine twice today after that it was absolutely a duvet day with Sleek, warm blankets hot drinks and there may have been a Walnut 🌪️ involved 😉. Yes far too cold for church too I'm sure, a warm congregation next year will be lovely 🤞. Sorry if I've missed anything, take care all :) xx

Hi bosh, thank you it is sad about my cousin, he had been unwell for some time, hard for the family. Like Toni I have appreciated re-reading your poem it was a lovely thought to go to sleep on the night I read it and have made sure I have bookmarked it. Any reminder to try and apply that sort of outlook is good because it's so easy to wander off the path even though you know the truth of it. I think we could all use a BR dressed as the sunshine too 🌞. Hope everything still going as well as poss, and your mum is ok today. That cake is super I really like it 😊. What a difference a day makes indeed! all thawed no new ice to be seen. I am so glad for the birds and yes soon be big bird watch won't it? I am convinced a few weeks later would make all the difference to my count.

Sleek is after another duvet day and walnut whip if there are any going she is quite 'par shol' to a walnut whip walnuts reduce your cholesterol you know…... She will probably be en route soon because the baby may come here to give the Mummies some respite/sleep. Unfortunately now both Mummies have 'the real' flu. Not just a cold. Sleek is not overkeen on 'humans in training'. They can be a bit noisy and flappy for her so they make her a bit nervous😉 She reckons your house will be much more peaceful.

I am very pleased you have been finally able to speak to the person who had been in hospital and all is reasonably well. As for the shock of losing a cousin I am exactly the same - if I don't see someone for years they are fixed in my brain at that age! We just don't expect it do we?

Morning frogmorton yeah at least there's quite a few of us with the same arthritis I work in tesco so always busy and sometimes lots of lifting like yesterday I thought knee pains and thumb pains were the but I had massive pains shooting though my elbow so wasn't nice yeah I will try and get some rest when the kids go to school morning everyone else hope everyone is keeping as well as we can.
