    Afternoon all
    Karen you enjoy your dinner....
We have just been to the garden center for some more bark to tidy up the borders in the garden...and treated myself to some silk flower's...little freesias so they can go in my kitchen window.. to remind me spring is nearly here... :D
I will have a cuppa and sit in the window to have a ponder....
    Love

    Afternoon Everyone.

We've just finished lunch....roast pork.... cheesecake for dessert. We had an unexepcted visitor - our daughter's bf who 'turns up' when you least expect him :). He's Dutch, lives in Germany, but his work takes him all over the world...except the Uk. So, our daughter sees little of him. I can't say we understand the relationship at all....but he is a very polite and nice chap :).

Barbara, those flowers sound really pretty.

Karen, we used to live in T Wells (10 min walk the Pantiles), but moved because of OH's job.

Toni, thank you for your kind welcome :)

We were supposed to have the sun today...no such luck :)

I remember when I was 17, my friends and I used to go to the dance at the local hotel. We only ever had 2 halves of cider all night. One time, I danced with a lad and he offered to buy me a drink. Off to the bar he went without asking me what I wanted. He came back with a glass of brandy and a bottle of babycham. I didn't have a clue what to do with it or even what it was so decided I should drink whatever was in the glass then pour the contents of the bottle in and drink that. I took a big gulp of the brandy, started coughing and splattering it all over. Didn't half burn my mouth. The lad said hadn't I noticed he hadn't poured the babycham in. Oh, so that's what you do with it.:lol:
Aaaw, pancakes. I was going to make them for lunch but had put some dance music on which made me feel healthy so I had salad instead. Aren't I good? :D
Chicken dinner sounds lovely. Do you think there will be any left at teatime? Couldn't eat it at the moment but will be hungry again in a few hours. Can't eat lamb since I used to carry the new born lambs in from the field to be checked over.
I was rather disappointed when I got up. Thought it was going to be a lovely day but it has been grey all day up until now and I can't see it getting any better now. I was looking forward to tidying my garden but it'll have to wait till another day.
Hope you all enjoy your day and your dinners.

Catie, we're not fare from the pantiles. We are just off of the main high street, So it is very central for us. Ideal for the girls. It means no buses etc for them to go into town, their already there. And it is a nice quiet road. Mark you would still love to move.

We will be having our lamb dinner at about 6pm, No afters though. Rarely have afters now.

Applerose, I think if I had to do that I would be a veggie.

Karen, you sound well situated for your daughters. We still have family living in the area and each time we return to see them have thought how much busier it is. Mind you having lived in Norfolk for some time, everywhere else seems busy because it's so quiet here. At first we thought too quiet, but as we've grown older and slowed down it doesn't seem quite as much so :).

Barbara, I used to enjoy all the comings and goings of our daughter's friends when she was younger - such happy times :).

Toni, I think you are right :)

All the talk of lamb has reminded me that I have a mutton chop in the freezer which needs eating -and replacing! A former colleague with his own smallholding suggested I try mutton and I bought some when 2 of his animals were dispatched. It was a revelation, not at all what I expected, and I could quite see why foodies rave about it.

    Morning Barbara and Everyone,

We are lucky to have the sun today - what a bonus.

Hubby has hobbled off to work attached to his tens machine - the result of too much gardening. I did warn him, but like most men, he didn't listen :)

Mig, I can't make bread either. Our neighbour is 87 and makes his own bread - puts me to shame.

Barbara, I love cheese on toast but it has to be with a dollop of tomato ketchup :).

Better go and attack that pile of ironing. Hope to be back later.

    Morning all...yes..still morning.

Catie, I'm the same, has to have tomatoe sauce on. Barbara, I had one of those nights. No sleep at all. And I know if I stop I will be in cookoo land, so much keep going.

We have a little sunshine here, hope it stays. Poor H had an instant migraine this morning, it's horrible to watch. So she's not in school and has an appointment with the dr later. Still waiting on the ct scan.

I shall have a hot choc with coffee in please. Maybe it will keep me awake.

Hope you are all not to bad, and have a good day.

Barbara, we all need a lazy day now and again - you enjoy it :)

Karen, your poor daughter, bless her. Migraines are awful - make you feel so poorly. I used to suffer with them, but after having a hysterectomy at 49, never had one again - really odd - hormone related maybe.

Right, off for some lunch :)

What a weekend! My knees and left hip are agony. I only dragged myself downstairs once because I knew the children needed feeding (had a takeaway the day before). At one point I couldn't go from standing to sitting- not much fun when you need the toilet!

Karen sorry you didn't get any sleep!

Resting up now and had my humira injection. Please work!

Liking the sound of cheesy mash......

Morning. We had a chilli made with quorn or something non-meat and it was really tasty and no fatty bits to spit out!

Thank you for the healing draft Toni. I'm a tad better but that is because I'm doing as little as possible.

I need to get to my little girls assembly tomorrow at 9 as she will be so upset if I can't make it but have warned her Its a possibility I won't be there.

I haven't even looked out of the window so no idea if the sun is shining but I'll take your word for it.
