    Afternoon all

Catie, I know what you mean, feeling as young as you feel. I think I should be collecting my pension.

Barbara, you seem to have a young mind, that is what counts.

Mig, thanks for you're lovely message. And can I have some of those choccy bikkies. I'm in need of chocolate.

Barbara, I was up at 3am. Couldn't sleep.

Elizabeth, what a lovely friend you have. I hope you have a wonderful day.

I hope everyone is having a good day.

    Afternoon Everyone

It's pouring here as well Barbara.....really miserable. I'm sure your gd will be delighted with what you've chosen for her.

Earlier I went to withdraw some cash from the machine. A very elderly lady was before me and having a lot of difficulty. She then turned to me saying that the machine wouldn't accept her card and did I want to try. I hestitated, but decided to have a go. Everything was fine and I told the lady that the machine seemed to be ok. She smiled broadly and then replied by saying 'would it be possible to use your card then my dear' :). I had to smile :).
Came home to find that we had won the premium bonds. Ha, £25... won't go far these days will it :).

    Evening Barbara, Toni and Karen.

Well we had the rain earlier and it's now snowing. What a change from the start of the week.

Toni... A very 'Happy Birthday' to your daughter. !8 - what a wonderful age to be :)

Karen, I'm sure your daughter will enjoy college - such a different atmosphere from school. I hated school and left to do my A levels at West Kent College which was then situated in Broadwater Down, Tunbridge Wells. I think it then moved to Brook Street in Tonbridge. I had a great time and actually met my future husband there :)

Barabara, what a lovely gesture from your son's partner. I hope you all enjoy a lovely day :)

    Hi All

    Here's your takeaway Barbara.....

darn good curry they do at the Sanaam Balti.

We were supposed to eat in, but my bro rang me late afternoon - he has the two-bob-bits  Rather than he pass them on to all of us and half of cannock we postoned till next weekend.

    Had a takeaway instead.

People in the restaurant would have blamed the food wouldn't they?

Barbara I hope you anjoy your meal - think your son must have found a good un there  38 :? 38

Thank you all for the good wishes for Charley thsi time 18 years ago I didnt think she would make it. I was just about to be knocked out.....

Karen what is your daughter thinking of studying??

    love

Toni, she wants Art and Design. And then later Photography. She adores anything to do with art.

And Barbara, I agree that she will love it. She actually said that she felt she should be there.

Catie, it is a small world.

Right one hot choc for me and then a lay down, I am so so tired and my left arm is really having a good moan at me.

Barbara, happy birthday to your gd. I'm sure she'll love her t-shirts. And happy birthday to your youngest. Hope you all have a lovely afternoon.

Catie, that was a sweet story about the old lady. Reminded me of a few years ago when I went on holiday to Spain. I sent an email to my mam halfway through telling her what we had been doing. When I got home, she said, "Did you really take your (desktop) computer with you? Wasn't it heavy?" Congratulations on your win.

Toni, happy birthday to your 'baby'. All grown up now. Two-bob-bits. Sorry but that made me giggle. Not heard that before. Hope your brother recovers quickly.

Karen, I'm sure your daughter will love college. She could go in a lot of directions with photography.

Been to my dad's today. My sister and I spend every Saturday with him. He has Alzheimers so we get the same stories several times each visit but he seems happy enough now he's on medication. He was getting very frustrated until he was diagnosed.

A cuppa hot chocolate for me then bed I think. Hope everyone has a good night's sleep tonight.

I could do with a nice hot drink now. It is freezing and I have so many clothes on, but nothing is keeping me warm. Bumped heating right up so hopefully should be toasty soon. Hoping you are all sleeping well.
