Can I have a hot choc and a blanket please. Worst thing about getting up first, it's always cold. And then maybe talk about that spa, now that sounds good to me, when are we going.

I've put the kettle on and the grill, so when you all start popping in, it will be lovely and warm in here for you.

Have a good day in whatever you are up to.

Well, neither girls at school today. It is horrendous down here. Me or Tony shall not be venturing out in this. Hope you are all ok, and nice and snug and warm.

Barbara, sizes are getting smaller arn't they. Mark you my youngest who is 14 still in 12/13 years. She is tiny. Glad you're gd's tea went so well.

I am going to have a hot choc now, and sit by the window watching the snowey world go by.

    Morning Everyone,

Brrrr....so different from this time last week when quite a few people were cutting their grass :o. Karen, I think I'll join you with a hot chocolate - just the job :).

Barbara, so pleased that your gd enjoyed her day. I've certainly noticed that the size I buy is getting smaller :)..... Perhaps a trip to a spa would help :).

I'm just off to the dentist and dreading it.....always something to put right. My hubby says to be grateful I've still got my teeth :) ....mmm, but it's been at a cost :).

See you all later..... I hope :)

Cor, Barbara, £6.00 for two. We would have to pay a lot more down here. We do live in the wrong area.

Catie, how did your appointment go at the dentist. I am another one, I hate them. We cant even get an NHS dentist down here. We had to save up for me to have mine done.

One thing. The snow is going and the sun is shining. Hope it all goes quickly, we have main shop day tomorrow.

    See you later.

Karen do you not have weatherspo** pubs near you...they are very good value...you get a few meals to choose from for £6..50 or you can pay more and choose from another menu...
I will have a coffee and and there is birthday cake if anyone fancy's any...

Thank goodness that's over and nothing to be done...first time since I don't know when. Barbara, I don't like the chair either - irritates my neck.
Karen, it's the same here - trying to find a NHS dentist is impossible. We did have one originally...until he went private. I know what you mean about having to save up as its so jolly expensive.

I agree Barbara, Weatherspo## pubs are good value. We also have some lovely old traditional pubs which aren't too pricey either. Karen, where you live is so expensive and that's part of the reason (when the opportunity arose) that we moved away. However, the facilities where you are far exceed those around here - swings and roundabouts I guess :).

Thanks for the slice of cake Barbara - very welcome :).

Ooooh, a spa day. Sounds good to me.
Glad your GDs tea went well Barbara. Looks as if your youngest GD is about to be getting in to everything. My 5 month old GD has started pulling herself along so she can take her brother's toys off him.
Glad you didn't need anything doing at the dentist Catie. I had a great dentist but couldn't afford him once he went private. After seeing a very rude dentist a couple of times, I managed to find a very nice lady dentist. She has me laughing even while drilling my teeth.
My DILs parents often go to Wither*****s and say what good value it is.
Newbygran, I'd love a piece of your cake with custard, please. I don't make cakes very often as I end up eating it all myself.

    Morning Everyone,

Another cold day and we had a few snow showers earlier. Come on spring :)

Barbara and Applerose, I don't have any grandchildren as yet, but remember those days when baby started to move around.... lovely :) My daughter was very late with her motor skills....just like my brother :). Also late talking etc....didn't stop though when she started...still the same today :).

I hope your work is completed soon Barbara.....bet the kettle will be on all day :).

Sorry Mig, I've never cooked duck - hope you find a nice recipe.

    See you later :)

Hello all, feeling ill but wanted to pop in and say a quick hello. Hope you are all well.

With duck legs I would oven bake them single layer. Prick the skin first to allow the juices out. I like to rub the skin with salt for flavour.

I had duck legs on my birthday but they were already prepared and just needed baking.

    Afternoon all

Elizabeth, good to see you, sorry though that you are feeling ill. I do hope you start feeling better real soon. I must admit, I would not know what to do with a duck. I dont like it. But, hope you enjoy it Mig.

Well, the snow has completely gone. Yay. Hope it is all clear for everyone else.

Making myself a quick cuppa before me and Tony do our weekly shop. :(
