Did a certain young man call you fat?! BR how rude and untrue too! Tut tut and there was me thinking you were such a sweet boy too. Was this on a video call? Often they can make our faces seem fatter than they are I think. Apple pie cake and juice sounds lovely actually I'd try some with pleasure BR especially with some custard.

A baked spud is one of my favourites to eat when my stomach is recoveing. Not sure about that much mashed spud, but as Toady said with (vegan) butter….😋 We must stop talking about food!😂

Yes time you got to Piddle while the weather is quite good here next Friday looks lovely. Our guests are going on Sunday so life should ease back a bit for me/us.

Discussions/posts yes you are right they seem interchangeable. I like recents that's what I call it.The platform didn't change with the last update did it? Looks a passable morning so far but it's early yet. Hope it's a nice weekend for you frog especially for your friends' end-of-holiday and the vegan festival, is much of that under cover? Good luck with the later night and any EF (excess food in this instance 🤭). Well that's a nice cake and you certainly haven't underdone the icing 😁. Very pretty 💜. Poor little Elfie yes he does look woeful 😟 well it's a hazard of those long legs; and you do get extra fuss and extra flapjacks, so he will soon be right as ninepence. My eye will be too thanks, I'm sure it's exactly what it looks like, I can see it clearing up by degrees. More rest less screen time for me 😳. I wish you could keep tabs of time online without a timer somehow, because that would just make me feel I couldn't lose myself at all in what I was doing, but I suppose we all know roughly what is too much time out of the day. The forum changes I'm thinking of were going back to the pre versus I think, list format for sections on the home page rather than the 'picture' boxes, the older style cafe page layout and the old smilies etc, cosmetic things I suppose. Actually you would think there would be more comments (on the several new posts inviting comments under the 'new forum coming' topic) but I haven't added any so I suppose there we are 😳! Hi all 👋 drizzling away out there now but stopping later and maybe not much tomorrow 🤞.

They are definitely an increasing problem it seems and not nice to deal with, they didn't ask to be a rat but you can't ignore them, sadly. All quiet here today no news. I coincidentally saw there was a story in the news of an American singer accused of slashing another lady's cheek with her fingernail 😮 that's something I didn't think of. The lawyer was asking lots of not relevant questions about her hair and nails apparently which is very rude & personal, but well it's the US 🤷‍♀️. Hope you have a good afternoon and Sunday 😘 xx

Oh dear rats Stuart 😣 are there many? there is various advice from the RSPCA about getting rid of them humanely, like remove any food source if you feed the birds etc, and apparently they don't like it if things are moved around like garden furniture they are scared of change & new things & may move on - also there are plants they don't like - but it's all time & trouble isn't it. Foxes are tricky as they're protected aren't they, I think the advice is much the same just try & deter them, make it harder to get in and block up possible places they could make a den like under sheds or decking etc. Are the foxes causing any problems or would your mum just rather not have them. Hope things ok as poss with you both in general xx

It’s not exactly the same topic, but remember once I was volunteering for a charity and they made me get a CRB check done, but It was never completed because they wanted this and that ridiculous paperwork that I just didn’t have.
Anyway, that place wasn’t a great “fit” for me as they say

for volunteering, so it didn’t matter ultimately, but yes, paperwork, apps, phones etc - These things are indeed sent to try us, I agree.

very sensible, resting your eyes I should do more of that myself.

Before her arthritis Sleek always went at least annually to the vets now it's monthly I know you go regularly too. As does Stuart with theirs. Morning Stuart gosh what to do I have never had both of those problems together. If it's rats you can get poison I think in special traps that other animals can't get in. Foxes maybe see if your local pest control have any advice? Have any of your neighbours got chickens or anything which might be encouraging them all like in scraps to eat? ((())) xxx

Lunch is at least better there is some time to digest it before bed. I have had so many meals to eat this week with having visitors in the village so my stomach is distinctly cross.

Aha so the new look forum may actually be simpler to navigate then? I must have a proper look this week now our guests are going home. Such a relief it's not turning into something like brace hook or other social media platforms.

Elfie is so excited about the vegan festival (he is vegan too I think you knew this?) looking forward to the food. He has quite forgotten about his knee😉 I personally am wishing we had not had visitors the week leading up to it. I just said to Reshmi i think I will need to take tubs with me. Morning frogmorton yeah it's our job to decorate I'm quite looking forward to it plus there's 3 of us to do it it's our room and the spare room which we are now doing for my daughter was the cats room. Yeah we are pretty good at it. And we are off for a week after next week so we should pretty much get it all done then start on the kitchen after then do the stairs again because we did a light colour so didn't go down well with having kids and dirty hand prints everywhere. No rain here frog just strong winds - but the forecast is so mixed that whatever bit of a day looks dry you can't really rely on - rain will probably side up on it from one side or other. Hope you have a good time at the vegan festival and they have everything you want, and your system of taking tubs and doggy bags (catty bags) will work nicely 👍️. I will be having vegan sausages today and the last of my own peas, so well, what else to have with it but mash, it's the only logical option 😁. My eye is looking better thanks it's not too awful just the look of it is not wonderful obviously 😱 but going day by day. Glad Elfie has forgotten his woes 😊 I am perusing Sleek's list, am up to page 3 😄 I only have prime til the 5th so may as well use it - anything we order for good small cats will be here well before her 'appt' so that works nicely 🤭👍️. Sorry did I manage to suggest that the new forum will look as I described, those were just the sorts of things I remembered from previously, it could be anything this time - but I doubt they have involved 'Elongated Tusk' or any of his ilk so how bad can it be 😂. Hello Joan sorry the wind has got at your rose a bit it should bounce back 🤞 you mentioned butterflies before, what sort have you seen, I've really only seen white ones this year hardly any other sorts at all 🤔. I haven't any important plants at the moment I'm at the cutting down and tidying up stage, most other things are tough like lavender and established things. Hi bosh, glad things went ok and hope you're still at only slightly dodgy and that improves further with caution, and you get out of the woods altogether 👍️. That sounds just like the sort of thing (with your volunteering experience) that we are all increasingly up against 😣 I do rather fear that we will hit a point where things are so tied up in checks that you can barely do anything without id, I will be trouble if you need a driving licence or something to buy simple shopping, as I have no such things 🤷‍♀️. Funny how as things get tighter and more official on the one hand, they get more casual and informal on the other, like every professional body starting emails with 'Hi Toady', ugh stop it 🙄. Hope everyone else as well at the moment, have a good rest of Sunday :) xx

Yes every marketing email person calling us by first names in a pally kind of way is irritating true

I also don’t have a driving licence

There were three cakes yesterday no less a shop - bought white and milk chocolate cake which looked lovely, a kind of baked yoghurt cake or something like that with fruit which disappeared before I could cross my timeline, as it were haha, I think that was 90% consumed by bill to be honest and last but not least, a lovely apple cake which was made by BR and my sis (LA and sis made the yoghurt one), the apple cake tasted great, probably i shouldn’t have had any with my stomach but toady I’d resisted eating temptations all day, sometimes nothing is that simple
my stomach isn’t too bad thanks toady, but I’ve been rather careful again to be honest

I’ve only consumed a very small amount of milk, no cereal etc, so tomorrow will be the test, I guess, of the gastric variety, but thanks for asking 🙏
