Morning Jojo I well remember dirty small hand prints on walls yes light colours are needed to make rooms look bigger, but very hard to keep clean😁 I love purple too a very light lilac I used to have that in my bedroom Paul prefers blue so I have that now. My step daughter has proper purple in hers she got it from me.

With 3 of you it should be done in no time, but you be careful! You mustn't overdo it. I expect you'll feel you should pull your weight but remember your health too ((())) xxx

I met one of my Youtuber vegan heroes at the festival!!!! I did! Danny Ishay is his name, he's from the US and takes a comedy attitude to anti-vegan youtubers. He makes me laugh. Better than arguing he turns it into something funny. He was really nice we had a good chat not too long I didn't want to appear too starstruck 🤣

Morning Toady how was your weather? Here is was very mixed - extremely windy, but hot hot hot when you were in the sun. Cloudy at times too. Odd really. We drove though a few very heavy showers too, but that was all they were showers and no rain at the festival.

How lovely sausage (vegan I know) mash and peas - your own. Perfect. Oddly enough I had a battered sausage at the vegan festival (well half of one) at the 'fish and chip' van. Tasted Paul's vegan pork and crackling bap. Incredibly everything is vegan how do they do that crackling? Had a taste of some Indian bread and a spring roll. Everything else went in tubs. Catty bags yes spot on! Elfie tried everything and l mean everything!

Sleek is full of what you are ordering for her from catazon very happy indeed.

I used one of those eco loos too😯 you take a cup of something and after you've 'been' you pour it over your business! Elfie was in and out of those he thinks they are great🤣For me the steps up were steep and there was a draught from below but no offensive whiff.

Glad to hear the eye is improving Toad. Horrible business if your eye is sore.

Gosh no Elongated Tusk (😂) wouldn't be interested in trivialities like us thank goodness so our forum should be pretty safe.

Afternoon all 👋

Weather very odd frog, yes exactly, was all over the place and same today too. When it stops raining heavily it goes back to looking all innocent and sunshiney and who, me?! Had a fabulous rainbow yesterday, so so bright, didn't take a pic sorry you will have to take my word 😄. No more rain forecast today now. Well the vegan festival sounds great and how nice to be able to try anything, no asking & checking, such a time & worry saver 😊. Some of those things do sound difficult to achieve, I guess new things are being tried all the time, it's worlds away from what it was, for sure. Ooh you met a 'person', too, brilliant 😀. Glad Elfie had fun, the eco loos though, oh dear 😬 how would I get on, not sure, I'm not keen even on other people's 😳. Hope your day has been good today, I have been in the garden on & off, trimming some things back; cut my pea plants down working my way to the very top of the wigwam where I 'met' a speckly spider looking very unimpressed at his home being dismantled, oh dear. Seems every where you go in the garden you upset something, I am getting ever more of the hands-off approach mentality. Picked lots of nasturtium seeds and cut back the delphinium. I have also ordered some different muscari bulbs for my row of long tom pots (I showed you a pic a while back, from Sarah R's website of a windowsill arrangement). Haven't bought any other bulbs yet. Hello Joan, glad the roses look like they'll be ok, I did hope the weather had only blown them this way & that and knocked them about a bit, not damaged them 🤞. Hope everything went off well for you today and according to schedule, and the weather let you walk ok. I don't know what I did to my eye it can be anything, maybe just rubbed it, could be a weak little capillary (I have had one before, once). It looks much better a lot less grisly 🤭 and is going quicker than the internet said it might, so it's not so bad. All quiet here just pottering about and sorting a charity bag for Tues. Hi bosh, hmm word gets around doesn't it if you try paying your milk bill in odd 'denominations' 😂 I must be careful he may refuse to come and bring (overpriced) things to me again, that would never do. Actually comparing like for like I don't think some things are much worse than al fresco, I just haven't adjusted to general price rises 😮. Those cakes sound really nice 😊 including the ones you never got your 'paws' on 😉 and I hope the gastric status quo is still holding 🤞. I must get myself bulb organised too like you. Hyacinths are lovely that splash of colour and the smell yes good choice. Sarah Raven's site is lovely and her seeds are quality. I need to see your pots flowering next year.

The tricky vegan food I do try there at the festival, but not sure l would in real life (regularly) it must be ultra processed surely?Crackling I mean crackling🤨 It is lovely to be able to just have anything at all you want no saying 'no thank you' or 'is it vegan'? No feeling odd very affirming. The talks too; being surrounded by others who feel the same and don't judge you.

Hello Joan, sorry the rose stem is damaged, is it snapped but not broken right off, people do have quite good results saving bent & crushed stems with a splint and tape etc:

Otherwise someone said "Clip it off on a diagonal just above a shoot below the broken bit. It will grow back beautifully" worth a try is it a side stem or a main one?
Sorry to hear Brenda's cat is behaving in a worrying way 😔. I thought the C coffee brand was just being bought up like a takeover, didn't realize they are not doing well despite having so many branches. You'd think maybe people can't afford coffee out but if anything they said more expensive places are popular, where it's £5 for a coffee 😯 people are sheep where something fashionable is concerned and always have been 🙄 🐑. Hi all 👋 how did it get round to this time 😬

Mind you I have been quite good & finished sorting the charity pile, now onto turning out the airing cupboard 😱 and have been in the garden too, now off for a quick rest. Couple of pics - one of a Maurandya still flowering, must get more of these next year I think, there is purple as well. And some nasturtium seed pods because I love their shape and the twirly curliness of the stems 😊.

Hope your day is going ok bosh and volcanoes are still dormant 🤞. I do love those crochet (crowchet 🤭) crows, they are so cool and the work is so neat 😍. Very very clever and the little ones must be even more fiddly. I am doing ok today and trying to channel a little inner decisiveness as to should this or that thing go to charity 😬. I need a new umbrella. what to get? 🤔 that blue one you posted with the daisies is very pretty and might make you think of blue skies.
