Oooh fun Kath going down on the travellator!! I'm glad you were safe
Pepe does indeed look fabulous doing his weights Aidan
Daisycat is doing yoga. I have peeled the meeuuwwwtard off for a wash
I also have nerve damage due to my back last 2 toes rt foot and all along the outside of the foot including the heel, back of knee and a bit of backside cheek!!!
I haven't seen cruising - it hasn't appealed, but now I might be tempted.
I cannot be bothered either this afternoon. I have emptied kitchen cupboard for new dishwasher arriving tomorrow to be fitted. Cleaned my wee dyson. Now cannot be bothered either
Carol I really hope the glucosamine helps Snowy. 12 is a good age though. I hope he goes on a bit longer.
Animals are so good for us mentally and physically.
Glad Mr T is feeling less pain with his teeth bless him.
We all used to knit cable here sis myself and Mum. Gt Grandaughter will love her new jacket and the wee one is bound to love sparkly things
Joan of course we think about you. Wish you lived nearer I know your heating would have been fixed by Barbara's husband. Lucy has managed to get her wallpaper choices down to 3

Carol, I hope the tablets do help Snowie. We all need a bit of help as we get older. Good to hear Mr Turbo is feeling a bit better. It will have done him good to see the kids.
Aiden, things are growing well here too. All my snowdrops are out and daffodils have buds on. I noticed someone had a row of crocuses. Lots of buds on trees. Love all the cats in the cafe. Hope they don't catch any illnesses. Look at them all using the gym equipment. How wonderful.
Kath, hope you enjoyed your trips in the trolley lift and on the travellator.
Toni, Pepe and Daisycat are doing so well with their exercise. Hope Lucy can decide which wallpaper to get and you don't end up with all three.
Joan, glad your pre-op went well. Hope you don't have to wait long for a date. Your heating still isn't properly fixed. You must be fed up.
Barbara, that seems so sad that your neighbours want to sell up and go in to a home but they would be looked after. How terrible the carers didn't turn up and they were left in bed. I've been thinking about cutting out sugar but that's as far as I've got - thinking about it.
I think I mentioned a while ago about a rattling-type noise I kept hearing during the night. Eventually, I decided it must be my alarm clock so I took the battery out. All was quiet for a while but last week I started hearing the noise again. Each night it has been getting louder. I put my ear up against my neighbour's wall and I was sure it was coming from their bedroom. Yesterday, I knocked on my neighbour's door and told her about it. She said they had a fan in their bedroom which she'd been asking her husband to oil for the last few months. Anyway, it was heaven last night - no noise at all. I thought I was going to go mad. My left eye has been bothering me a lot today. Very irritated. This morning the bottom eyelid was very red. Just bathing it for now but will pop in to the optician for advice on Monday if it's no better. It was my son's birthday yesterday. He spent the day sorting out some problems at work so I've invited him and his family out for lunch tomorrow.Christine0 -
Morning everyone
Barbara I bet your OH is frustrated. He'd have had Joan and Sue sorted weeks ago
Yes Daisycat loves her yoga. She told me Pepe's weights are made of something super-lightweight, but she still thinks he looks good lifting them
You know, if your neighbours want to go into residential I don't blame them at all. They are probably tired and worn out and feel ready to hand it all over to someone else to care for them.
I hope that SS listen to them.
Christine Lucy's wallpaper choices seem a little 'old' for her to be honest. Not sure at all, but she hasn't decided. Charley doesn't like any of them!
My daffs are flowering It looks lovely here. I only planted about 50 with Tia's help and the crocus are peeping up too. I live spring
So the rattling was next door's fan!! I am so glad I was worried it was mice!! I hope he's oiled it. A fan? In winter?
I hope you enjoy the family meal out for your son today
Nothing planned for today, Lucy's friend is going home and the dishwasher is coming. I cleaned out the cupboard next to it ready.
A quick
to Joan as she'll be along soon - I replied to you yesterday Joan. I am glad the pre-op went well

Hello Carol Aidan Kathleen Toni Barbara Christine and anyone else I missed.
Carol i'm pleased Mr Turbo is feeling better. is snowy the size of a Dalmatian. I hope you got what you wanted.
Aidan you are doing the right thing not going out it's cold and windy. have a good chat and a coffee with your Mum in law and Dad.
i hope another lot of antibiotics does it.
Kathleen have you tried a scooter they get you where you want to go. have a good day.
Toni i bet your bungalow looks the best in the village. have a good day all of you.
Barbara your neighbours have been there a long time. i hope you and your o/h have a good day.
Christine did you have a good meal with your Son and family. have a good day.

Joan, lots of people ask me why I don't get a scoota. First, we have nowhere to keep one. We can't get it around the back as there isn't enough room to get one down the alley and through the back gate, and we can't get it into the house at the front, and nowhere out front either!! Besides, I like walking now, with my 3-wheeler.
Toni, our Daffs are in bud now too. Your garden will look gorgeous when it's in flower. Lots of
:bee: :bee: :bee: :bee:
Christine, I'm glad you sorted your 'rattle' out.
Barbara, it's so sad when people's health gets so bad they have to give up their homes. I hope your neighbours get what they want."Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea." Robert A Heinlein

Afternoon to one and all, a "Lake District" day here today, mizzling with rain and misty, no sign of Pendle.
Pepe did look cute lifting the weights, although he is very tired today and stretched out on the back of the sofa, he says he is doing yoga, but I think not............
Glad they managed to transport you Kath, even if it was in the service elevator. I don't like those moving floor levels, I always feel very unsteady and have to lean and cling on for dear life, then getting off it a leap of faith
Miss Sleekness looks very fine doing her Yoga, Pepe is very impressed, apparently they skyped overnight, there was fur on the mousepad this morning. They are crafty, nattering while we are all asleep.
Glad the meeoowtard has been in the wash, we like clean and fresh.
We share our neuropathy. I have a patch on mar arm that the ortho said was numb due to spondylosis, that along with bilateral abnormal nerve conduction studies   That's when I asked what could be done and he said "in your case, nothing" oh, ok then - I am too high risk already. Onward and upward eh, lol
You had a case of notbothereditis too, it must have been one of those days, you did well clearing the cupboard out for the dishwasher.
Are the choices of wallpaper diminishing, is there a final one, or is the Jury still out ?
hi Barbara - good to hear that the carers came as planned for your neighbours, it is sad when people want to give up their home, but, as Toni said, sometimes enough is enough and the safety of a caring home, holds greater store than trying to manage at home.
Don't worry, men are not as tolerant of pain as women, as a general rule of thumb. There are exceptions though me, lol.
I am indeed better off retired, even though there are not enough hours in the day sometimes. Quite how I worked 12 hour shifts along with keeping house -
Glad you watched cruising with Jane. That first ship was ENORMOUS, over 4000 passengers and 2000 crew. :? not for me, although I did like the crystal staircase. The second boat was a wee bit small and I don't think I would have managed to even get aboard without being hooked out of the sea. It was nice and cozy though. When she sang amazing grace in Fingles Cave, I was bawling.
2 vanilla slices, not to worry, we need a little sweetness from time to time.
Hi Christine, the snowdrops are all out around here too and the daffs are all but ready to open, this mild weather will certainly bring them on, hopefully not too soon, March can be a bit wild and windy.
The cat friendly cafe is lovely, ( it is in Bristol apparently). Pepe is rather partial to helping himself to my coffee if my back is turned. Often I pop back into the kitchen and he has his head in the cup. :? :? No wonder he is lifting weights, all that caffiene
I was thinking you were going to say there were meeces lurking in the walls, so glad that it was the neighbours fan squeaking and rattling. Much relief all round I am sure.
Sorry your eye is so sore, hope it has eased and the opticians can help, if not I am sure the pharmacist could help too. ((((())))
Hope you have had a good lunch with your Son and family for his Birthday :cake:
Hope the dishwasher arrived ok Toni and I see all your bulbs are appearing, yes, I don't mind Spring, not too hot, not too cold. All our little trees are coming into bud and one of the clematis has got buds on already
Still no decision on the wallpaper, apart from the fact that Charlie doesn't like any of them, oh dear.................
Joan, I forgot to mention your pre op assessment going well, please forgive me, I was so annoyed with your heating situation I had clean forgot.
Touch wood, I think my chest is a bit better today, I was coughing this morning, but it has eased off now, just the tail end of the infection going. But, I will keep an eye on it. OH cold is easing off now, finally, it has been a really horrid one. I am still deaf in one ear, for some reason
Kath, scooters are fine, but you do need a lot of room to store them, charge them, etc. I have one, but it is packed away, as it comes into several parts. OH struggles to lift it into the car and like you, we have nowhere to leave it where it is safe is in a garage. Fortunately most of the shops we use have their own buggies and or wheelchairs. I might think about selling mine, as it is rarely used.
With you walking and catching buses, you are doing so well with your rollator.
I picked up my new fischer crutches from our local physio department the other day, the old ones where feeling a bit unstable, but they have lasted for years. I cannot use the ones with the normal hand grips.
Right, it is pill time, once more. I had better move and potter about. Drying is done. Hair cuts have been done, so we are smart boys again.
Love to everyone, carol, mig, elizabeth and all. Take lots of care

Evening all hope you have all had a good weekend mine has not been too bad .
did a nice slow cooked beef casserole for dinner tonight it was on low in the slow cooker for almost 10hrs to make meat nice and tender so that Mr Turbo didn't have to chew very much seeing as it is only 2 days since he had the 2 teeth out. cant remember the last time I used it but think I must use it more often.
yes Aiden i'm hoping the glucosamine helps snowie because I know my self what the pain of arthritis is like so have a lot of sympathy for him. and yes cable patterns can sometimes be very confusing.
Think you are right there Barbara women to tolerate pain better than men in most cases. applerose yes he did enjoy seeing the kids. no Joan snowie is taller than the average Staffy but shorther than the average Dalmation so some where in between the 2.
well its time for bed so i'll say cherrio till next time

Morning all
Joan we do like the bungalow nice, but blimey there are some posh ones here! The dr's house for one  He lives opposite and to the side. I hope it's mild with you today - it is here.
Carol that was a kind thought slow cooking the meat for Mr T. Every day he'll feel better and his gums will harden up.
We had a good weekend - new dishwasher put in and working well. The 'best' programme for the environment is 3 hours and 15 minutes!!!
Hope Snowy is doing ok.
Aidan - I do hope Pepe is recovered from the weight training bless him, (the coffee must be helping!!!). Yoga is a better idea I had to de-fur the keypad here too, but at least there was no tuna
That 2nd picture is very like Sleek!!
Nowt to be one about the nerve damage no...consultant said I was lucky it wasn't worse.
We are still down to 3 wallpapers so far. Decisions must be made.
My daffs are out and so, I noticed yesterday afternoon, are some of the crocus!!
New crutches eh? Lovely Much safer.
Kath my plan is to have lots of bees and lots of butterflies. I plated a Buddleia last year so see how that does fingers crossed
I think you are doing so well with your 3 wheeler. Of course you can always borrow a scooter in towns with shop-mobility for longer trips out.
No sign of Kerrin??
Love to her, mig, Elizabeth,Barbara???? and everyone else who hasn't posted.

Hello all. It has been a difficult week pain wise as it has been half term, although I welcomed the lie-ins. Hoever I had to wake up at 5.30 this morning in order to take my painkillers ready for the early start. We also had the new special needs transport kerfuffle starting today. I'm very angry about it all. Daniel was sick as e as anxious about the changes.
I think Lucy is now turning a corner but have hospital on Wednesday to see what they say.
Love to you all, hope everybody is well, sorry I missed your Birthday Kath even though you did say you aren't really bothered with b'days.
Oh I'm off to see the hip replacement team tomorrow but its now my knees that are giving me grief but I'll try to keep the hip in the loop incase my meds finally start to work.

Take care all. Mig0 -
Glad you're getting on well with the loom.
Elizabeth, I hope your appointment gives you some answers about your hip and knees.
Joan, a garage would certainly be a boon for us. But our house is a terrace sadly.
Oooh Toni, I shall enjoy looking out of the window this coming year.
Carol, the casserole sounds marvellous. Thinking about it is making me hungry."Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea." Robert A Heinlein

Hello all..sorry didnt get on yesterday was sick again...ok now so not a clue what is going on...I suppose the time comes when the tum cant cope with the meds anymore...
Toni my neighbours will be ok has long as they are together..the ss have not been yet.....Lucy room will be lovely when its done and she can make it her bedroom
Joan hope all is well as can be for you and Sue...the scooter and walking is a good compromise..
Carol your poor doggy snowy ..we used to gibe ours codliver oil..mind you she was very young when she started on them..hope the glucosemines works..I love my slow cooker saves me standing..put it in and leave it...
Kath hoe are the walks going...like you say its so sad when health deteriorates..if only this country would look after the elderly
Mig is busy with her loom..making cushions...glad you are enjoying it
poor Elizabeth is suffering..I hope the rheumy can come up with some help..x
Christine it reminds me how when my parents were alive and next door had a time clock on the wall..its drove them mad till they tracked it down.. so glad you have peace at last...hope your son gets to enjoy some cake..and you make sure you get that eye checked out
Aiden you are right I often think were the day has gone...talking of crutches dont know if you have heard of them but I have the flexifeet on mine..it was an elderly gentleman that told me about them quite a few years ago they are line the suspension on a car..I didnt think they were working till I pick up the wrong pair..
Now the vanilla slices we got home and couldnt find them ..they were in a bag with a small meat pie for OH...he had the bags so all I can think he as dropped one...we were both fuming  I hope someone enjoyed them
I hope I haven't missed anyone...xxxxxxxLove
Barbara0 -
A late evening, almost early morning to one and all. Is it me, or has it gone warm? I need HRT I am sure.
Hi Carol, the slow cooked casserole sounded lovely, melt in the mouth, mmmmm I am sure it was much appreciated by OH and his healing mouth.
How is Snowie, I hope the glucosamine helps, a lot of people use it and find it beneficial. Yes, the pain of arthur is monotonous and omnipresent - oh, big words, where did they come from, lol.
I was ok doing patterns with knitting, but never did master cable.
Hi Toni oh you will have to happen by the Dr's house and just sneak a picture, lol. We have some uber expensive house around this neck of the woods, one of the most expensive areas around. You can pay upwards of 250000 for a two up two down terrace cottage that needs completely modernising.
I have a few saved on my Rightmove page, that we will go look at when we win the lottery  when :?
How long, over three hours to wash the dishes, that is quite some time. I guess if you pop it on before bed, then they are all done by morning.
Pepe has been resting today, I think he had a little bit too much tuna yesterday and it caused a little "upset" - we will draw a veil over that and move on anyway, he is ok again now and :animal_busy:
The second pi was so like Miss Sleek, I had to put it on, I was searching far and wide for such a pic
No signs of skyping today, maybe overnight.
Nerve damage is horrid, hands feet, arms, no wonder I send things flying on a regular basis. Half a pint of T went west the other day, the work tops were awash. It is a regular event.  Try and help and end up having to swab the decks.
The new crutches are very nice, the left one clicks now, so at least OH knows where I am, it was the R one before. They do feel a lot safer.
Your garden will be lovely for the bees and butterflies. We have umpteen bluddleia and various bee friendly plants - I forget their names, OH knows, I just admire the butterflies. :bee:
Any final decision on the wallpaper :?
Hi Joan, that was nice to have somewhere to store your buggies, they really do need their own space and I am sure I would use mine more, if we had an outside space for it, that was watertight.
How is the heating situation, do we need to come over, the bus is ready and Toni is on standby to drive
Hi Elizabeth, sorry that you have had a difficult week with pain and then having to get up so early to make sure your pain dullers were working, before the school time run. Of course, it is the new pick up places, poor Daniel, sick, with the changes and worry, that is dreadful poor love. The last thing that is needed when life is challenging enough as it is.
Hope the hospital trip on Wed goes ok with Lucy. ((()))
How did the meeting with the hip replacement team go? Did you mention your knees were giving you such a rough time.
Hi Mig, life does get in the way, I quite agree, lol. You sound very busy with the loom, faster than I would be I am sure. No rush, the blanket will grow
Kath I hope you are still out and about, doing your walks, all credit to you, an inspiration.
Hi Barbara, oh dear, I hope you are feeling less sickly. Yes, the meds do cause their fair share of problems. I have to take maxolon, as needed, as sometimes, the cocktail of meds just knocks you sick. Would the GP not give you something to help, I find them invaluable, don't need it every day, moreso in an evening.
I have not heard of the flexi feet crutches, I will have to look into them, they sound very good. sometimes they do jar your shoulders and arms, well, more often than not, they do anyway.
The missing vanilla slices, oh my goodness. You will need to replace them and keep them very safe, or eat them before you leave the shop
I must move, I am set like a plaster cast. Hi to Kerrin, Christine, and all............everyone take care, XXXXX AidanXX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -
Morning everyone.
Back at school so it's all go. Came home yesterday very achy from head to toe! Probably a combination of 4 hours non stop on my feet, new insoles, and putting up 4 mini tennis nets. A bit better this morning.
Heard eventually about the gymnastics, we came 7th out of 15. An improvement in last year so can't complain. Now it's netball this week, then basketball and golf. And I've been invited to go brief coaches from the ECB (cricket) at the oval on Thursday....lunch included!
That's about it, trying to catch up on everyone's news.

Afternoon all hope you are all doing as well as can be.
ToniI love daffodils too and crocuses, we have some daffodils on the grassed areas of our estate and the look lovely when they are out. Mr turbo's mouth is getting better he is eating must things now.
Snowie seems a little better at the moment but we are only 5 days in with the glucosamine so we will see how it goes.
Joan that sad that you lost your golden retriever after the steroids not good at all but well we do what we think is best for them don't we.
Kathleen I like casseroles too this one was so yummy. must definitely do more of them.
Barbara yes that's one good thing about the slow cooker just chop the ingredients up put it in and leave it.
Aiden wow what big words did you eat the dictionary we are 5 days in with the glucosamine tabs so hopefully we will see some improvement in my furbaby soon fingers crossed anyway.
he is going to be very annoyed with Mr turbo on Monday because he has to have his kennel cough jab and he dosent like that one as it is done in his nose. ouch .
had a nurse appt this morning at the drs for an asthma review this was the second appt with a different had one last wek for a nhs health check all ok on both appts only problem I have is my blood pressure is a bit high.
well must go now as ive been sitting here for sometime now and need to get up and moving as I have my slimming world group this evening so got to go out soon and see what the dreaded scales tell me tonight.
take care love you allStay positive always👍xx0 -
Afternoon to all, a very wet and miserable day here, staying indoors is the best idea.
Hi Kerrin - back to work with a bang - all those hours on your feet, I would be poleaxed. The gymnastics coming 7th is a great achievement and better than last year, which will boost them.
Now netball, basketball and then golf and then to the Oval, to brief the cricket coaches, very good. Lunch, of course, I should think so too, seeing as you were invited.
Hi Joan so Thursday is D day for the heating and boiler, let's hope it is fixed, once and for all.
It is a bit warmer, but I see we have a storm coming on Thursday, called Doris Day, hope it doesn't affect the work on your heating.
Did you mention Tacos Kath, yes please, not had one in a very very long time.
I am going to have two puddings, naughty I know. Best ever brownies and bakewell cake sound delicious.
I would try and eintopf too, wonder if they are a bit like dumplings?
Hi to Toni - hope the wallpaper has been decided upon, hi to Lucy, hope the exercises are going ok and things are healing well.
Pepe has not really surfaced much, save a little snack of cured chicken, to tide him over between meals. No mention of skyping, which would seem the best option today, with the bad weather. Don't want Miss Sleek getting wet through
Barbara I hope you are feeling less sickly today, ((())) Have you managed to replace the vanilla slices? We bought two sticky toffee puddings (individual ones), yesterday, then found out we had nothing to go with them ie custard / cream.......... will have to wait until tomorrow.
Elizabeth I hope you are in less pain, sending lots of gentle hugs. Was Dan a bit more settled with the school run changes today.
Hi Carol, Mig, and all.
A quiet day here, pottering, gentle fussing about, back is very shouty today, so cannot sit / stand for long  one of those days (which seem to be more and more frequent).
Off to our local hospital again tomorrow, retinopathy clinic, see if any vessels are amiss on my retina (some where last year, but the optician said they had almost gone when he saw me). Fingers crossed.
I had to laugh at the hosp last week when I went for podiatry, they had more tv's up and more posters, the ones telling you how bad things are for you. Don't eat too much sugar, don't eat too many fats - these were all near to the vending machines, full of chocolate, crisps and loads of goodies  :?
Everyone take lots of care XXXX AidanXX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -
Just missed you there Carol. Glad the health check was ok, save for a slightly higher BP, wonder if that is white coat syndrome, it happens to a lot of people. OH is terrible, if they take it at the surgery, it is up in the rafters, but wear a monitor for 24 hours at home and it is perfectly normal.
Poor Snowie, a jab in the nose, I would not be happy either.
Hope slimming World is good news, wear shiffon as it is as light as a feather

Evening all..wet all day here..wish we could have the mild and sunny... :sun:
Joan I said the same about the cakes and pie I hope whoever found them enjoyed.. the last time he did this it was a cooked chicken he lost...cant you tell he is not use to shopping... hope that boiler is fixed on Thursday..
Aiden what a shame you didnt have cream...what are we like ..to be honest I think I would have eaten them without...couldn't have waited.. will be thinking of you tomorrow..eyes are so precious...good luck ...they were called getting rid of the vending machine in hospital but suppose they bring money in..and be careful with that back..pottering is good.. blimey the houses are expensive...but who knows keep doing the lottery has we do..
Carol I have sent off the forms at last all signed so hopefully that will be it till it come to the banks and such...hope snowy is doing ok ..they dont always let you know when they are in pain bless..dare I say unlike our OHs..
Kerrin 7th is not to bad..like you say an improvement...cricket at the Oval wow...you enjoy..and dont worry yourself about reading back..
Kath you keep us well fed..I adore bread pudding ...might just try the German onion tart...
Our neighbours have had a visit off SS and all is in place for a move bless them..but they must be together..or else Love to everyone xxxxxxxLove

Hi Barbara and Aiden yes Aiden it is white coat syndrome I think, I can never seem to relax properly and hate having it taken. she did say it was in the higher region of normal for my age. so will do as she requested and book an appointment with doctor to see what he wants to do about it.
I don't think id be too happy at having an injection in my nose either.
slimming world was a so so result as I put on 1 and a half lb in 2 weeks but when I think about it I have kept within a 6lb range for 2 years 10 months now and am still in my target range so i'm happy with that.
Barbara Glad you have sent your forms off hopefully it wont be too long before you get them back and then the work really starts. changing everything else. busy weeks ahead.
Snowie doesn't seem too bad at the moment but we are only 5 days into the glucosamine so hopefully they work. and yes they can't moan about how they feel unlike OH's but to be honest mr turbo is not really a complainer when he is ill he is just irritatingly miserable and everything is too annoying to be bothered with, even me
take care all.Stay positive always👍xx0 -
Hello Kathleen Carol Aidan Barbara and anyone else I missed.

Morning everyone
Carol if 5 days have helped Snowy that has to be a good sign. I am glad Mr T is doing well and doesn't usually moan about pain. Wet here today so bones will be moaning!!
You always keep in your target weight limits don't you ? Aidan's idea of wearing chiffon is great, but might be a bit see-through!!!
Joan I hope all get sorted on Thursday this time ((()))
You were right I am here!!!!
Barbara I am so pleased the SS have been and listened to the ladies and will keep them together. Would you say their needs are the same as far as care is concerned?
I hope you are feeling ok?
Kerrin it sounds as though you have got the gymnastics team improving which is fabulous. the Oval did you say? How thrilling!!!
Aidan and (Kerrin) - Paul and I have tickets for Wimbledon!! 4th July court 2
Wallpaper decided upon and purchased along with paint so today will be action stations. It's raining so hope Daisycat doesn't go downstairs to investigate.
We will be with you at the clinic under the cloak so you know we will have our fingers crossed ((()))
Kath bread pudding for me (every time) and oh dear the apple toffee pudding too. If I get stuck in my chair someone pull me out!!
Love
Toni xxx
PS I really hope I didn't miss anyone :oops:0
