Christine I'm pleased you feel better. I bet it was good on all the bus rides.
Aidan your plants are lovely. I hope you all have a good day.
Barbara do you remember when mobile phones firth came out they were so big and clumsy.

Oh my goodness Toni. Poor Lucy. I hope you have all recovered - I'm shaking just reading it.

Joan, how slowly did you reduce your Oramorph? I only took 3 x 5ml a day. Now I'm trying 2 x 3ml. I still have pain. but I don't want a higher dose. I'm still taking paracetamol as well.

Yes it was a rotten thing to happen to Alex, she used to be his carer and run him in the big van to and from appointments. Emily's ex did the same to her some years ago - left when the boys were about 12-14. Mind you, I can't criticise, my own son did it not long ago and my OH did it to his ex - for me.  .

    good afternoon all .

Aiden pain is much better today and yes the nap did do me good. I don't often have to do it but it does help sometimes.

Lillie has grown up a healthy lovely little girl GD has done marvellously with managing the PKU Lillie has grown up from quite small learning about her special tummy  she dosent even mind the bloods being done now the only thing my GD has problems with getting into her is her supplements she don't like them at all. never has. she has to encouraged to drink it now with the promise of a treat after. she also knows things she can have and where the protein is shown on packets. not bad for a five year old. :).

Yes we do get a bit miffed about the lack of support at times from our own church members. trouble is our congregation is very small and mostly older people we only have one couple who come who have 2 small children . Mr T has been going there since he was a small boy of about 10 I started going there when we first went out together about 18 months before we got married and we will have been married 47 years this year. perhaps your right he should mention supporting one another in one of his sermons.

Can just imagine you arriving for dinner on broomstick ha ha

hope you enjoyed your trip to Skipton an the browse around the shops.

Toni Sorry to hear about Lucy's seizure hope the eyelid wasn't too bad and heals quickly trouble is injuries can quite often happen during this situation. hope she is ok now and the eye heal soon. and it is funny how our furry friends seem to sense all is not well. isn't it.

Barbara yes they are lucky to have him trouble is they don't seem to realise how lucky sometimes. its so annoying. the most annoying thing about the support is that not even he other church leaders turn up and they live nearer to the place than we do .
yes Lillie is very good about it as she has always grown up with it she will e well used to it by the time in much older and it is only about another 1-2 years before they will teach her to do her own finger prick to do her blood test for mum to send off. mum dose it at the moment not sure if it is every 2 weeks or every month it is done. she hated it when she was a baby but now GD says we need to do your blood and she just sticks her hand out and says ok. fortunately her baby sister has no signs of PKU.

Blood test was not bad sodium has dropped a bit but dr is happy with it how it is at the moment so I can carry on with the tablets every day for another 4 weeks the another blood test and another dr appointment then to see where we go from there may mean a change of tablets if it has gone down further.

must be off to do a few things

    take care
    Stay positive always👍xx

Carol, good that your pain has eased off. Sounds as if resting was the best thing to do. How old is Lillie? She is very good to accept that she can only eat certain things. Just read your last post. Lillie is only 5. Wow, she is really very good. Don't blame her not liking the supplements. And you can keep taking the tablets. Hopefully, the next blood test will be a good one.

Aiden, my dad drove busses for a while too. I often used to get the bus with the open back and the pole with my mum. Last year, one of the vintage busses had an open back. I sat upstairs and when we weren't far off the stop I wanted to get off, I pressed the buzzer. The bus stopped as there was traffic so I decided to go downstairs while it was stationery. When I got down, the traffic had moved on but the bus hadn't moved. Everyone, including the driver, was looking back at me. One man asked if it was me who had rung the buzzer. I said it was but I was going to get off at the next stop. He said they didn't know why the buzzer had gone so had stopped the bus. I was so embarrassed I just got off there and hurried away. Went on it again this year but didn't dare move till the bus was at the stop and other people were getting off.

Toni, poor Lucy. I hope she has recovered a bit today. It must have been scary for her and you will be worried too. Even Diddycat is watching out for her. (((hugs)))

Barbara, I got caught in the rain on the way to work. Fortunately I took a spare pair of trousers and got changed. The sun was out and it was warm on the way home. I only watch Countryfile now and again so missed that one. I've found it on iPlayer. Yes, that is the barrage on the River Tees in Stockton. I've only been to the barrage a couple of times but there is a lot going on there - rowing club, white water rapids etc. They have built a huge huge climbing frame. There are seals and salmon jump up the river. They have put a section in to help them along. It showed the special boat which the other day pulled the logs and branches out of the river here in Yarm. They had got stuck under the bridge. They're having to come back later to move some of them as a goose has built her nest there and is sitting on her eggs. Hope you had a good day pottering.

Joan, I had one of the big clumsy phones. When my nephew and nieces all got their new slim phones, they used to laugh at my big one. When I got a small, slim phone, they all got big slim phones so still laughed at mine. I'm always a few years behind them. Is it tomorrow you are having your dressing changed? Hope it goes well.

Kath, it does happen quite a lot but is upsetting at the time. I'm sure Alex will be ok in time. She has got a good friend in Emily to help her through it. And you are still in pain. Hope you are managing to cope with it.

My boss was being very friendly today, asking if I'd had a good weekend and chatting about the coming snow. He even apologised for the office being dusty as they had been making up brochures and there was fluff off the paper and string they use to fasten them, everywhere. :?

Don't know if I mentioned it but next door are having plumbing problems. Every now and again, I hear a terrible grinding noise as if a huge drill is coming through the wall. A couple of weeks ago, I told them I could hear it. The woman told me it was every time someone went in the shower and they needed a new boiler. Sometimes, I hear it at 5 or 6 in the morning and sometimes at 11.30 midnight. On Saturday, it was going for an hour and a half in the afternoon non stop while they were out. Today, I went to see them again about it. This time she said that it was every time they ran water so using the washing machine and flushing the toilet. I asked if they were getting it fixed but she said no, they cant afford to so I've asked that they think about when they use the water and not to use it so early or late. I even suggested they had baths rather than showers as she said it didn't happen when they ran the bath.

Evening to all, we are covered in snow

Oh Toni, I am so sorry to hear that Lucy had a seizure, in the shower too. I am glad that you were both there to help immediately and that the injury from the razor was quickly treated.
I hope things are better today, Lucy will be washed out I am sure and you will be on pins too. Sending a huge amount of hugs and thoughts.

Did you go to the minor injuries clinic? Steri strips are often the best thing for eyelids, as you say, they move, a lot.

Good of Miss Diddicat to come back in and keep guard, puskins always know when something is amiss. Pepe send his love too.

Hi Barbara my GDad was a miner too, up in St Helens. I never knew any of my Grandparents, they had all passed before I was born.
I certainly do not take after my Dad when it comes to DIY, woodworking, carving, printing, caligraphy, painting.............

We did have a potter in Skipton, not far, well, as far as Nero's, from parking the car, about 30 yards :) They have a new range of food in, oh, the mushroom and mascarpone toasties are just out of this world. We said that we are back in Skipton on Wed, at the Dentist, so pop two in the back fridge, we will be back :) That, plus carrot cake and lashings of coffee, went down very nicely.

Popped into Tesco, whizzed round in the buggy, then into B&M and back home. Then I went hypo and had to shovel chocolate in, my blood sugar was only just above 3mmol which is very low for me.

Gravel is the way to go for easy care, without a doubt.

Hope you had a good time pottering, we like pottering.

Hi Joan, hope you are keeping warm, we have had sun, rain, hail, snow, high winds, the whole works today, winter has come back for a few days. Our Acers won't like it one bit. Love to both and to doggies.

Kath I hope you are ok and doing ok with the very gradual reduction of oromorph. It was a big shock to read of Lucy's seizure, I was shaky too.

Hi Carol, glad the nap helped, we need them to recharge and re align those aching bones and joints.

Lillie has really got the heads up on her condition and is doing great guns with her special tummy. I can imagine the supplements are a challenge, but, a treat afterwards is always welcome :) Good that her younger Sister has no sings of the same condition.

You have been great supporters of your local Church, for so many years. I know that the younger people are not Church goers and many rely on an older generation to support them. I don't know what the answer would be, people's lives become so congested that the Church seems to be the last thing on their minds. Sad, that congregations are in decline and have been for many years now.

Yay, your bloods were ok and you can stay on the diuretics for a few more weeks and monitor your Na levels again. Glad we were able to come along, hidden under the cloak, plus, we didn't leave any crumbs, no scones allowed this time, we only make a big mess.

Hi Christine I remember the open back buses too, getting the first one out of the depot on ice cold mornings, to go into Nottingham, to walk across town, to get another bus, to get to school. They were freezing and then some.
Ooops, best not be pressing any bells again, lol. I would have gotten off too, with everyone looking at me. :lol:

Seals and salmon in the river, how lovely. There sounds to be a good deal going on at the barrage. Good of them to protect the goose and her eggs :)

Oh, the Boss was being chatty and pleasant, good, positive vibes do work then :)

Sounds like a big problem with your neighbours plumbing, with all the noises and grinding sounds, something is definitely not right. Even running the washer makes it sound the same, how bizzare. Pity they cannot get it sorted and I hope they manage to be considerate of you as their neighbour, last thing you want is a grunting boiler at midnight   We will ask Barbara's OH to pop round.

Next door to our left, the one who went into hosp last week, knocked at 9, he said he had disturbed someone lurking at our neighbours on the right. He said it was about 8am, he hear gravel crunching and then the person ran off at a rate of knots. He went and told her, she was obviously upset and unnerved. They are having security camera's put up asap. We are in such a quiet, out of the way area, even though we are only a mile or so from town. If someone is prowling about, then they are here with intent, not just by accident. All a bit worrying. :? Especially at that time of morning, when people are likely to be up and about :?
I know OH will be listening all night and next door, he will be up and about, keeping an eye. Good job we all have gravel all the way round us.

Well, I had better move again, I am setting very quickly. We are off to the GC with mum n dad this morning, then to get some shopping, prescriptions to collect, vets to pay and get some more food for his Royal Puskin.

For some reason I have been thinking a lot about our Guardian Angels today, (I am a firm believer in them) and thought this was a wonderful picture, of a Church Altar in the USA. n night to all, thinking of all those who are not around at the moment, kerrin, mig, elizabeth, charrisse and all. Aiden, you are covered in snow. We had one heavy downpour of rain with a bit of snow in it. Didn't last long though. Hope it has gone now. You certainly have a good excuse for eating chocolate and cakes. It is worrying when someone has been lurking. Hopefully they won't be back and the cameras are put up very soon.

Joan, yes I finished my puzzle a while ago. I left it up for a few days to admire it but it is back in the box now. Hope all went well at your appointment today. It does feel a bit strange how things have changed so much. I remember having to go to a phone box to phone my parents and now, as you say, we all carry a phone with us.

Barbara, oh no. I do hope Lucy is ok. And poor Toni. It is very distressing for them all. Thank you for letting us know. I think my boss is feeling guilty. He knew I was going to ask for a wage rise when he told me he wouldn't be giving me one. Oh well. What do they call it ... work to rule. The woman next door has said it's because they need a new boiler but then said she thinks it's an air lock then she said it was because they had a new radiator added. Just wish they'd get a plumber to look. It might not be anything too much. You're right about so many people breaking up these days. I think people just don't want to put up with things that aren't perfect.

Very grey today. One downpour with some snow but only for about 20 minutes. They are talking about more snow tomorrow. I've finished my Life Coaching course and just finished the exam so fingers crossed. I'm not very happy with it though. There wasn't much content and I don't think the exam was long enough. Not to worry, it was interesting but I'm not planning on using it professionally.

Evening to one and all, goodness it is a cold one again too.

Hi Barbara I can imagine that Toni and Lucy and Paul are all shattered and feeling a lot of pain. I know Toni will write as soon as is possible, in the meantime our thoughts are with them all.

Yes, Dad was did all sorts of jobs before taking up Holy Orders, that was after 19 years in and out of hospital having had TB of the bone from age 5. He was a miracle, living to 84, when all the Drs said he would never live to see 50. The power of positive thinking and his Faith.
He did spend a lot of time on the family tree and can I find it, nowhere, I will have to search through the ottoman and go through the paperwork again. Not quite sure how far he had gone back.

We have had people roaming about before, which is a bit unnerving to say the least. There is not a great deal of lighting on the park, more around the club house and pool area, but down our small roads, it can get pitch black. I think the new owners will improve the lighting, it is important. We keep our curtains open at the side, across to the neighbours, but it is so dark, you would not see anyone.
People cannot help, but take or attempt to take what is not theirs. Sadly things are stolen, to sell on and fuel drug or drink habits. To be honest, they could take what they want, but don't dare touch us or our pus cats.

I am glad to hear that you believe in Guardian Angels. Mum loved Angels.

Hi Christine, yes we had a fair bit of snow which as damaged a lot of plants, it rained, snowed, then froze. Our lovely wisteria, all shrivelled up. It has been fine, for years, but the new leaves had just started coming out.

I don't think it is quite as cold tonight, chilly, yes, but not crunchy ice. Scratch that, it's very cold, just been to back door for a cig.

I do indeed have an excuse for extra chocolate and cake :) I don't like going hypo at all, it feels horrid.

Definitely work to rule, no extra's, not without a pay rise :) I think we should come and do a protest outside your Boss's house :)

I am sure you will do fine with the exam from the life coaching course. Glad you enjoyed it. Always good to have strings to bows.

Well, I had better move and do some more pottering. I hope everyone is ok, thinking of all, Kerrin, Kath, Elizabeth, Mig, Charrisse, Toni Lucy and Paul.

Pepe sends his love and purrs too.

N Night all, take lots of care XX Aidan

    Good morning everyone :)
Just to get it out of the way all is well with Lucy now! She had a shower about 9.30 on Sunday night sat on her shower seat and must have been shaving her legs because she fell forwards and cut her eyelid on the razor

I heard a noise. The poor soul was lying all twisted inside the cubicle, legs trapped under the seat head bashing the other door. SO lucky her rt shoulder was upwards, (it had been the consultants biggest worry that she might dislocate it), shower still on.

Got in switched shower off then covered her with towels and shouted for Paul. Put more towels on the bed and he carried her through and left me to sort her out, sick bowl then drying her and hair off getting nightie on etc.. Eyelid swollen so not bleeding until the peas brought it down then it gaped when she shut her eyelid so I plastered it.

By the morning the eyelid had bled through so I took her to minor injuries where apparently I had done a great job and it was already healing so a drop of glue was added. This was about 1.30-2 maybe.

Unfortunately they were not so happy with her spine as it was tender from neck to lower back and ribs so they called an ambulance and she went off on a spinal board to A&E.

Off we went and bless her she staying in a neck thingy until after 10pm. X-rays...still not sure so someone from Stoke came down to do a CT and review her. All pronounced well and escaped getting home by about 11.

It was a very hard day, but again I am thankful to our wonderful NHS and the wonderful beleaguered Stafford Hospital now called 'County'. :D

I need to let the holiday insurance know now for Sunday - fingers crossed eh?

I have a photo if you want to see it?

Diddicat has been Lucy's special nurse only skyping Pepe and nipping over when she is sure I am awake and on active duty. I bet she showed him the photo Aidan?

Like you we have no street lighting. So there has been a prowler?

I expect the owners will do something about that. I know we can't stop those wanting what isn't theirs, but lighting would deter.

Thank you for the guardian angels we have certainly leaned on them the last couple of days. The bear was lovely too I will show it to Lucy later.

We had snow too, but your wisteria  will it recover I hope?? I am determined to have one here when more wall is exposed.

    Book your diabetes check-up!

No Christine I am sure you will have passed your exam! You always do well so you have plenty of room to o not quite so well but still pass easily :)

The boss clearly worried about the possibility of a big bill. I know you can't say much just keeping your head down and being your usual indispensable self.

Barbara weren't the first mobile phones car ones?? I had a MASSIVE one in the very early 90's. Safer when Social Working.

Thank you so much for letting everyone know we are ok yesterday, my neck was way to sore to sit up typing.

and for keeping me updated on Hileena.

Fingers crossed for good blood results - was it kidneys?

Hi Joan :) I bet you had had to up your pain relief when you were weight bearing! Your Mum wouldn't know a lot of our world now would she? Thank you for Lucy's hugs :D

Carol yes our animals do know when something is amiss don't they? Miss Slimkins has kept close-by since. I imagine St Johns se a lot of such things as seizures. What can you do? Not a lot, but looking into maybe a different kind of razor for Lucy.

Your GD has adjusted so well to her diet hasn't she? I bet you are proud of her.

I am not impressed to read that you had so little support from the congregation

I am very pleased to hear that your blood test passed enough for you to carry on with the extra water tablet for now :)

Kath I was shaking too proper shaking into the next day, but she is fine. It's why she never locks the bathroom door so I can check on her. She made a noise...maybe called out??? Not sure, but I was on it straight away.

Relationships do end nowadays and I suppose it's the world we live in. Don't want people unhappy and good families support each other through hard times still don't they?

I hope you are doing ok with the oramorph reduction now.

    Love to you all

Hi all just popped in say a quick hello not had much time on the laptop over the last couple of days. I am at the moment just about to get changed and get myself together to go out with Mr Turbo up into Central London for a meal and then on to a Chris De Burgh concert at the London Palladium this evening. should be good as he is one of our favourite singers. will be a very late night by the time we get back home as we do not have a car and will be using public transport. only problem is it has just started raining and is due to continue until around 7.pm typical weather but well hey that wont stop the enjoyment. ok plans change now going both ways by mini cab after quick discussion with mr T and us both deciding to share the costs. we were coming home by cab anyway. we speak and read more whats been going on tomorrow in café tomorrow

    take care all

    Afternoon to all

How glad I was to see that you had posted Toni, I knew you would, but I had to switch the PC on as soon as we got home today, to check on progress.

I am glad that there is no serious injuries spinal wise, bless her Lucy is so fortunate, being in a confined space when having a seizure only adds to the potential problems. You were quick off the mark and I am sure that was essential in preventing further damage. I can imagine you were shaking.

The hospital were proud of your work, well, I should think so, you have a lot of experience when it comes to hospitals and clinics, enough to be a Staff Nurse at the very least. :)

Good to hear that they all looked after Lucy so well, we continue to hear all the bad press about hospitals and GP's, but, when it comes down to it, 99% of the time, they are spot on. But that doesn't sell newspapers. Anyway, get off your soap box Matron.

I hope the bruising heals very quickly and that the insurance co are ok with everything, ready for the holiday.

Pepe has kept me up to speed, with skyping Miss Sleek, she has been a very good nurse indeed. Much praise

You are very welcome to the Guardians and the hugs, they are always there :) Hope you neck eases as soon as, you will have made muscles and joints ache, that you didn't know you had. :?

The wisteria is pretty much dried up and withered, a few leaves might survive and grow, we will tend it carefully. I was horrified when I saw it. Naughty snow and ice.

First one to get a flower, wins a prize :)

Hi Barbara, you were very kind to keep us all posted.

I hope you managed to put the world to rights with your niece, I know she is very up beat. Good food I trust at the GC :)

I will hunt for the family tree, we need to sort out in the box, there is every Diary that Dad kept from the 1940's onwards. Would make an amazing film.

I can totally understand the little angel, ours is not to reason, how, or why these things happen. When we went to see Dad in the Chapel of rest, he was smiling so much. The wonderful lady who deals with all the family funerals said, well, he knows the answers to all those questions now. Lovely that Mum was smiling too. Bless them all. I always keep white feathers that fall outside the back door, they just appear.

Joan I see you are in Blue this time, from the clinic, just to be sure that things are not put under too much strain over the next 2 weeks, a good idea, then you will be FREE to move that foot about. Bet you cannot wait. Hope we didn't make too much noise under the cloak. XX

Hi Carol, I hope you have a wonderful dinner and then enjoy the concert, he has been singing a long time now, but still going strong, the sign of a great artist :) Safe journeys both ways and dodge the rain.

We were back in Skipton for OH to see dentist, all ok, then we had to pop into Nero's again, for more of the new menu. Toni, you must try the mushroom and masarpone toasties, cooked for 4 mins, perfect.

I had to have this to follow. It was rude not to really, after they had taken the time to make it :)

    20170426_124543_zpskziqgsoz.jpg

Right, onward, washing and drying to sort, pus cats blankets to wash, we like it clean and neat :)

Everyone take care, I will pop back later this evening. Lots of love to everyone, here and those not about at the moment. XXX Aidan

Aiden, your poor wisteria. I hope it will recover once the weather picks up. We had a heavy downpour of hail at lunch time but it didn't stay. Oh I like a good protest. We could make placards.

Toni, ouch ouch ouch. Poor Lucy. Poor you. Hope you are both feeling better today. I think you are right about the car phones.

Joan, I dread to think what would happen if I went on strike. When I get back after a holiday, they have managed to wash the clothes and iron only what they need to wear but no cleaning. Glad to hear your foot has healed. Hopefully in a fortnight, you'll be back to normal again.

Barbara, what a lovely story. You're mum must have had happy thoughts of you when she passed. Hope you and your niece sorted the world out over a cuppa and a cake.

Carol, hope you've had a lovely time having a meal and the concert with Chris de Burgh. I think taking a cab both ways is probably a good idea with the weather being bad.

I've been to the dentist today and had my filling. It was a tooth near the front and I was amazed at the colour. You can hardly see the join between the tooth and the filling. The dentist said she might be able to straighten that tooth, as it's leaning right over, then put a bridge on to fill the gap where I had the tooth out. Nit sure I'll bother as the gap is quite small. I had only been in the house for about 5 minutes when the hailstones came down, quite heavy. It didn't stay though.

Evening to all - not quite as chilly, at least no snow or frost.

Hi Christine - I know, the poor wisteria, I am sure some of the leaves will grow on, as things warm up again. It was the snow and rain, that froze onto everything, that did the damage.

Yes, we can do placards, no trouble. I have my marker pen at the ready.
It sounds as if you are very much needed at your Boss's house. Our neighbour is a housekeeper, for quite a few people, works very hard. She says that sometimes you get nowhere fast, a bit like painting the Forth Bridge.
I guess it is a miracle that they manage to wash and iron what they need when you are not there to create order from chaos.

glad the trip to the dentist went well, with almost invisible filling. OH was at the dentist too, just for a check up. As you will see, I had a rather wonderful slice of chocolate fudge cake :)

Good job you missed the hailstones

Toni, I hope you and yours are all resting and recovering. Pepe was rather tight lipped about the skype call. Something about Miss Sleek being left all alone to fend for herself while you are away, with only the occasional vole to eat. Me thinks she is over dramatising a little

Carol I hope you both had a lovely evening, meal, concert and safe journey home. I bet it was great fun, seeing people live is so different to hearing them on the radio etc.

Kerrin, I trust you are ok, very busy with all manner of activities, you need your down time to rest and recover and with the wedding planning too.

Elizabeth, thinking of you and hoping that you are all ok.

Kath, I trust you are not in too much pain and managing to adjust the oromorph ok. It is quite a slow, steady progress.

Mig, sending love and hugs, hope you and yours are ok.

Charrisse, sending hugs and well wishes, hope you have managed to get out to your group.

did I miss anyone, I bet I did. Shame on me and apologies in advance.

All the babies are fed and warm, heat lamps on, lots of stroking and petting. Barbara is doing a sterling job with the feeding bottles.

Everyone take lots of care, better move, or I will be chair shaped.

    N night XXXX Aidan

Abundant blessings back to you too Aidan :D

Is Diddicat pretending she will be left home alone when we go on holiday?? Her two big sisters Charley and Tia will be along to look after her and the house

I will however really miss her they will have to send me snap-chats of her and probably face-time Lucy :(

I agree with you good things about the NHS do not sell papers do they? Staff nurse Toni eh? and Diddicat was definitely a student nurse at the very least (she thinks she is a junior doctor and is after Christine's GD's Dr kit)

This morning we have a lady coming here to do a spray tan on Lucy :? not at all sure about that but better than her going out in the community with that black-eye!!

    I will be packing still.....

Regarding wisteria I think Pom (shed man's wife and village matriarch) wins she already has a flower!!!

Mushroom and mascarpone? Ok will give it a try...and a slice of that lovely chocolate cake :D

Babies are looking so sweet and chubby :) Adorable. Bottle fed them all stroked pusskin.

How lucky were you Christine to get in 5 minutes before the hail!!

Impressive they can do such good fillings now isn't it? I understand you might not be too bothered about tiny improvements though.

AS for your employers well indeed!! is it a mansion they live in??

Chris De Burgh eh Carol!! How lovely!! I hope you both had a great time. Good negotiation about payment for transport and a cab home - sorted! We'll see you a bit later today no doubt!

Barbara yes Lucy was turning green and yellow as well as the sort of red colour yesterday. Maybe the fake tan will mask it a bit today :?

I am feeling way better myself and the holiday is what we all need. Probably Paul most of all he works so hard for us all. He wants to get to France in the summer as well

How lovely to hear your Mum had somehow got her own angel in her hands even though she was bed-bound!! She was certainly telling you something :)

Hi Joan! Thank you Lucy has perked up, but is very scared about showers and baths now so I have to site with her. She worries said could I get her out I say I will pull the plug and cover you with a towel until Paul gets here or Charley or Lucy.

A green plaster? Well at least it's a change and no sense ruining the ship for a ha'p'orth of tar is it? It will be worth it I'm sure :D

Love to all our missing friends I hope they are well ((()))

Afternoon to everyone, weather improving as the day progresses.

Blessings all round Toni :) Yes, Miss Sleek has been on Skype again, overnight, implying that she will be all alone, just scraps to eat. Pepe was most concerned and had to be reminded that Charlie and Tia will be there with Miss Sleek, to pamper and look after the house.

Of course you will miss her and snapchats and video will be ideal, for a catch up of home :) I am sure she will head over on her broomstick at some point, now that the weather is improving.

Definitely Staff Nurse Toni, without a doubt. Miss Slimcea can be junior Doctor, we will give bestow that title upon her :)

Hope the spray tan goes well, it will make Lucy feel better for sure, plus hide any of the recent bruises. How's the packing going, all done, ready for off.

Pom wins the prize of a chocolate cake, for having the first wisteria flower. Some of the leaves are salvaged and some new ones are appearing on ours. I doubt there will be a flower in sight.
Village Matriarch and big chief eh. I like her title lol.

You will all enjoy the holiday I am certain, it will do you the world of good. Glad that you are feeling more human again, after the recent trauma's. Paul can kick back for a while, after all his hard work.
I am sure Lucy is worried about showers and baths, but you would be there in a flash and do the right thing. I never lock the bathroom doors, in fact I leave the door ajar when I am showering, so that OH can get in and out as needed. I am usually throwing something about and making a general racket

Yes, the new range of foods at Nero's is well worth diving in to.

Barbara, you have a white feather too, I have three, I put them on the back of the cupboard door, nearest the back door.

Never been in Nero's   somebody catch me. Oh it is high time you paid them a visit, tell them Matron sent you lol.

I have had a read of some of Dads diaries, they are very interesting. People don't tend to keep journals now, too much time on the phones etc, says me, who has to have the latest model. But, I am not glued to it 24/7, I can leave the room without it. I have to laugh sometimes when you see youngsters texting while they are walking along. Don't think I will try that one, I might just end up meeting the pavement head on.

I know you like to put the world to rights with your Niece. A few sins won't hurt, once in a while.

So you have trouble with the pigeons, like Mum used to. She would rush out into the back garden and shoo them all away, then next thing the squirrel would be there eating everything, so out she would go again - it was a battle of wills. How rude of the pigeon to flap its wings at you. A water pistol is a good deterrent :)

Glad the wee's were ok and just waiting for the routine bloods, no doubt after the Bank Holiday week end. I must make an appointment for my diabetic check up. Will gather some wee wee bottles tomorrow when I collect my shipping order of pills

Having a nice "at home" day today, catching up with washing, puskins bedding and blankets, general pottering and fussing about. Nothing dramatic or taxing. I was going to iron, but I lost the inclination. :animal_busy:

We will be off to the GC tomorrow with Mum n Dad, coffee and scones. Then get the shopping to last over the week end. More family coming Sat and I think Sunday too.

I hope everyone else is as ok as can be, Joan, Kath, Kerrin, Charrisse, Elizabeth, Christine and all.

It must be time for T

Oh look at those scones Aidan I shall have to have one!!!

    Thank you :)

We will be in town on Saturday buying any clothes we need so Neros can be on our list of places to visit :)

The spray tan went well and I bought Lucy an electric razor ladyshave for her legs. Also got steri-strips along with blister plasters!! She looks rather good it was a quick one so already washed off now. Eyelashes tomorrow

Of course I will be nearby if there are any problems I was wasn't I? but she is scared so ATM I am having to sit on the loo lid and chat to her!!

Cheeky Mistress Sleek!! She is after sympathy from Pepe isn't she? I hope he is reassured that she is going to be very well cared for extra food, cat milk and treats purchased this morning :D I would love it if she nipped over on her broomstick...sigh :(

Fingers crossed for your wisteria. Pom gets chocolate cake!! She is a lovely lovely lady also has epilepsy like Lucy.

Barbara I am pleased to hear you had a good time with your niece :) I think your pigeon isn't scared of your now :? Have to think about that one...

How lucky are your family to have some diaries written by you even if you did stop doing them. I know they will treasure them :)

Lucy is sore, but better than she was :)

Right must carry on with my scarecrow - it's going to be a Nessie :)

    Evening all

Hope you are all as well as can be expected. I have been very tired today due to last nights meal out and concert we left home at 4.30pm and arrived back home at 11.45 last night needed a cuppa tea by the time we got home so we had that then eventually fell into bed around 12.45 and both fell asleep almost a soon as our heads hit the pillow. and I have been out this afternoon with my charity cards at a group for people with MS. which I do once a month.

Barbara yes Lillie is getting on ok she should be ok as she gets older because she is learning more about it everyday and as she was diagnosed at 11 days old she has grown up not knowing any different so far. and our GD says the results of her not sticking to the low protein diet don't bear thinking about . yes we do think what's the point of having the open days but we still keep doing it
on the last 2 Saturdays of the month we have another on this Saturday so we will see what this one brings. one good think about it is that we are now doing more things together that we are both interested in than we used too.

Toni as a St john ambulance member and as a first aider at work for many years I has seen lots of seizures and been in many odd situations an your right you cannot do much with seizures only make sure that when they after banging about that you protect then as much as possible from injuring themselves. Yes I am proud proud of how Lillie has coped and learnt her problem and also of my Grand daughter for managing to help her understand it so well. glad your nursing duty with Lucy was recognised as well done and hopefully her spine is now feeling better. concert and meal were fantastic last night. and the shared costs worked out ok.

Joan ooh a green Plaster I remember when I broke my wrist just over 5 years ago I had a purple one . well why have white when you have a choice of colour

Aiden yes the meal was good we both chose the same prawn cocktail followed by Spaghetti Bolognese , and completed with panacota with Strawberries and a coffee and of course a glass of wine. the concert was fantastic as usual and just his can still sing well despite getting older we are listening to the cd of this current uk tour he his doing as I type this . and of course he always dose some of his good old ones too We have been to quite a few concerts over the years when he dose his uk tours . Glad all the babies are fed warm and petted I had a very horrid few moments yesterday when looking back in my diary and realise that it was 2 months ago that we had our dog Snowie put to sleep cannot believe it is 2 months already how time flies .

Christine yes had a fantastic time thanks and just after we had decided to go by cab we had about 5 mins of hailstones of all things and then a couple of times in the cab there was light rain on the windows.

Well must be off now as a few little things to do before bedtime

will pop in tomorrow I expect

Evening to everyone, much warmer than of late, in fact I was having a "moment" after supper and it is not even May yet.

I hope you enjoyed the scones, they did look very good. Oh, yes, pop into Nero's and see if they have the new range of toasties. They are well up there alongside the ones from Costa.

Glad the spray tan went well and good idea with the electric razor. Eyelashes today, very nice, extensions or in fills or whatever they call them?
That's ok, sitting on the loo and chatting, to allay the obvious fears. I don't like it when OH nips out, say into town, even for a short while. Glad she is feeling better now, hugs for the ouch places to get better asap.

I think Pepe is now fully aware that Miss Sleek is going to be very well looked after while you are away. I think the sympathy vote will no longer wash,:lol: Pepe said he wants his own broomstick  but I am not convinced. Maybe Miss Slimkins can give official lessons while you are away, just so that he can go round the block, not up up and away to the top of Pendle, goodness, we would have to send out the rescue squad.

Pom (a great name) sounds like a wonderful lady, she too has epilepsy, so she will understand completely.

More often than not a lot of emergency situations on the wards were in the most awkward of places, ie the loo, the bathroom etc.

You are building a Nessie scarecrow, wow, way to go. Will it be huge and have lots of humps. Pictures are a must :) Please and thank you.

Hi Barbara, that's good if I make you chuckle, it's a good tonic, laughter. Burns a lot of calories too, so help yourself to scones and cream :) Don't worry, they reappear when you are not looking, so we never run out. Oh, I wish, lol

Oh yes, those feathers are there for a reason. they can come in all sorts of colours too :)

I have to be seated to send texts or instant messages. In the car I end up typing drivel, going over bumps or round bends. I know you can ask Google to type it for you, but I have never tried it. I might give it a go with the new phone. It should make T, cook, clean, iron and do the dishes, for the price of them

Yes, a water pistol will be great, we used to have some amazing water fights on the wards, with the 50ml syringes - normally matron would appear on the horizon and the clean up was manic.:lol:

I will make the appointment and I am sure the GC will be lovely. It will be extra busy this week end with the Bank Holiday.

Hi Carol, so glad you had a wonderful time, out for dinner, which sounded lovely ( I used to love prawn cocktails) coffee and a glass of wine, why not eh. Then the concert which was as great as you expected.
I am sure you were exhausted by the time you got home. That is a long time, I would have been totally jaded. Then you were out again with your charity cards. I hope you sold plenty.

Lillie is doing so well, as you say, not knowing any different makes things easier. No, don't think of the consequences, she will be fine and keep things as they should be, now and as she grows up. your GD must be very proud of her.

I hope you manage to sell some more cards this Saturday. It is good that you are doing more things together and spending more time together too. :)

Gosh, two months since Snowie left you, not sure where that time has gone - hugs (((()))) I cannot believe we are a third of the way through the year already

Well my lovelies, I had better potter a while. His Lordship is moaning and meowing for more food, even though he is full up.

Hi to Kerrin, Christine, Elizabeth, Mig, Kath, Charrisse and all. Everyone take lots of care. XXXX Aidan
