Evening to one and all, it is a chilly one too, heating just gone up a few notches.
Hi Joan, I am glad to hear that the heating is working well, happy days for you, I know you like to be warm and cosy. Pound for Pound Easter eggs are mega expensive compared to the same weight in a bar of chocolate. A bar is just as good Any shape or form of proper chocolate is just ideal.
I hope you foot is less painful and you are managing with some weight bearing, in between rests and elevation of legs.
So, we have photographic evidence of Miss Sleek, in the Churchyard. I have shown the pictures to Pepe, but he said, oh, I saw them earlier, when I spoke to Miss Diddicat. No secrets between these two.
Love the picture of the Clown fish too
His Lordship did manage to eat one of the sachets that Diddicat had put to one side marked "unfit to eat". With a lot of encouragement he had a snack, which is a miracle.
LoL, mayonnaise faces, I like that, Pepe does pull some funny ones when he is lapping it up (he doesn't get too much, just enough to cause frantic licking and washing).
See, I should not have mentioned the S8 Toni, lol. I know, naughty, naughty. But, I could not resist, I love my smartphones and as you say, life is too short to worry. Definitely no contract phone though, you end up paying way over the odds by the time two years are up. Hence I will pay the S7 off, then OH can use it, on pay as you go and I will get a contract SIM, for £10 a month. Way better than over £40 I am paying at the moment
I will tell you all about it when it arrives, hopefully this Friday.
Oh those eggs, it was a mistake for Mum to buy us some. They were half price in Sainsbury's today, so we had to have a few. It brings a whole new meaning to needing a dozen eggs
Thank you my back is grumbling, but not screaming at me. The pills seem to be keeping a lid on things today.
Good to hear that the tiles are fixed on the Church roof, Rev D obviously had that sorted in double quick time.
We will make sure you are all matching in the footwear department, for your ENT appointment. Much hand holding and I am saying nothing about procedures, I know nothing.
Hi Charrisse nice to see you. I quite agree about the profit making on the back of what is an important time in the Christian Calendar. It is the same at Christmas too.
Well, you can never have enough sandals or shoes, age does not come into it, bags, shoes, accessories etc, well, you never know, you might need them, so best be prepared
Yes, I am indulging in another phone. My guilty pleasure.
So the man from Hilary's blinds was a easy on the eye, you will have to compare notes and give marks out of 10 with Christine
Good to know that your heating is sorted very quickly if anything goes wrong. Poor Joan and Sue they have had problems with theirs for ages and the Boss at the housing Association seems as much use as a chocolate T pot.
Are there any trees in blossom in the park, that you can see, just thinking of the cherry trees around and about, that are laden with blossom at the moment. I take anti depressants, plus amitriptyline for neuropathic pains, constant pain and discomfort is wearing and lowers your mood far more than people think.
Oh Kath I am very sorry to hear of the sad loss of your friends Sister. Such times bring so many memories and it is no shame to be upset or crying, it is not without reason.
Maybe just a tweak with the oromorph, hurting adds to the overall feelings of being down, we can sympathise totally with that. Leaving you a huge hug (((())) to add to those from Charrisse.
Hi Barbara, yes, today has been a bit easier thank you. Starting the day with arthur shouting loudly is a true pain the proverbial. There are some very interesting reads about the witches of Pendle, a lot of them are online. Everyone in this neck of the woods claims to be related to the witches, lol.
Oh you must add Eggs and Spoon to your shopping list, you won't be disappointed and we would not want to you to miss out.
N, Friday cannot come soon enough, we will not be going out, well, I won't be, I will be glued to the window, waiting for the postman  bless.
Sinuses do cause rotten headaches, there are so many chambers, more than you think and when they are congested, the pressure builds up.
Hope the fish was good, mmmmmmm.
Carol the walk, albeit further than you would normally do, sounds very nice indeed. The same walk that was soon followed by the birth of your Daughter. Gosh, glad you made it round the park on that occasion too.
I hope there is not too much in the way of payback, pain killers to the fore, just in case.
Glad the bruising is fading now and I can well imagine it was very sore for a while, we are not designed very well for falling, from any height.
We will have to keep a Boiler Diary, what with Joan's and now yours and Toni is worrying about hers too.
I am sure all will be within your target at SW, here's to three years of amazing effort. All credit to you. Good idea to go to the morning group
Take care Toni, I see you have a manic day ahead. Steady now, no overdoing it, oh, too late.
We (all four) went to the GC, it was packed to the rafters. They had had a power cut, so everyone had been asked to leave the tea rooms and wait until the problem had been sorted. Imagine, no coffee machine !! Anyway, it was fixed, just before we arrived, so everyone was piling back in. We managed to find one of the big tables and shared it with someone else, which was fine. The scones arrived hot foot from Mrs Scone the baker, so they were still warm - perfect.
Mums Brother and SIL are coming up this week, from Swindon, to stay with them for a few days. We will meet up with everyone on Thursday and go to a big mill shop near Burnley. Hopefully we won't have to have drinks there, as the coffee is vile :? :? I will try and encourage everyone to go to Costa
Home day today, sort out a bit, more pottering, as I do.
Hi to everyone, Christine, Mig, Elizabeth, Kerring, hope you are all as ok as can be.
All the babies are fed and warm, heat lamps on, fire going, for Cuddles the cat, fresh straw for Marigold and Yack, it is more like a zoo now lol.
Better move, I am chair shaped.
Take care all.

Morning everyone.
It's back to school for me today and it's very brrrrrr outside.
I've had a very lazy holiday. A bit of cross stitch, wedding planning, shopping and doing as little as possible.
I now have two very busy weeks ahead. Lots of sporty things at school, dance course today, tennis, swimming etc. Also going away for the weekend to swim in a gala (hope the hands hold out!) and next weekend on a school trip to a farm!
Have a good day, will catch up again on my way home, if I'm still in one piece.

Afternoon to all, a very :sun: it is too, not too warm, so I am not having one of my hot "moments"
Hi Kerrin, nice to see you and so glad you had a lovely break and a rest, I think you needed it very much. Wedding planning, shopping and generally chilling out, wonderful.
Now you have to hit the ground running so to speak. Dance, tennis swimming and then swimming in a Gala, sending hugs in advance for the hands to hold out.
Oh and a trip to a farm, have you seen out back here, we have baby Tapir's and Lambs, that are being fed on a regular basis, Barbara is in charge of the bottles and anyone who is in, can feed them and stroke them - very therapeutic.
Hi Joan, hope you are getting some fine weather to enjoy, it was cold last night though, we had the heating on. No need at the moment, with the tumble dryer going, even though it is a condenser one, it kicks out some heat.
No, I could sneak round the hospital in my slippers, lol. Sometimes on nights we would take our slippers in, but that was intentional, the other time I had to walk across Nottingham to get from one bus to another.
You are SO welcome Kath, you are in our thoughts and prayers and anything we can do, we will. hope you are not in too much pain and can take some time in the sunshine, I know it is a very difficult time.
Toni, I hope you are not doing too much, I know you said today would be manic. Miss Sleek will let Pepe know if you have payback for one reason or another. I expect Miss Slimcea will be over to see him when we are having our naps later. Someone has been telling him that it is fun to empty as much litter onto the carpet as possible. Any ideas who :animal_busy:  :?
Barbara, Christine, Mig, Elizabeth, Carol and all, hope you are all ok.
OH has been helping out the neighbours with one thing or another, trimming a very thorny bush that had gone mad, putting up fake wasp nests, that deter wasps from coming near, as they see them as a threat. We have one up now as well. They are really good apparently. I don't do wasps, they dive bomb me for no reason whatsoever.
Right, the dryer has finished so I will potter away. I will leave some chocolate cup cakes for everyone to nibble on.
Later, take care XXX Aidan
XX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -
Ahh, I had a sneaking suspicion that you might post at the same time Barbara it must have been the chocolate cakes
Glad you enjoyed the fish and couple of chips, they always taste better when they are pinched from someone else
I remember 76, it was roasting hot, then a freezing cold winter to follow.
I will be watching for the phone. I wrote to Samsung and asked about my order, it could be sent out, tomorrow, or the day after......I think I can track it online, which is good. You watch, we will be out. I will leave a big note on the door, please leave with a neighbour who will sign for it too, do NOT take it away, or I will be witless.
It is a huge place Pendle Village Mill, I have to go in one of the wheelchairs, no way can I walk round there. I will have to hold my nose and drink their coffee I think, rather than we all traipse off to Tesco.
They sell just about everything and then some, wonderful fabrics, cushions, ornaments, clothes, Yankee Candles, furniture...........endless things to look at.
The back is under control at the moment, so have been pottering about. Nearly time for next round of pills.
Good of you to save a pigeon from the cat, despite some missing feathers. It is cool out of the sun and the forecast is for cooler nights this coming week, we are not out of the frosts yet a while.
Right, I am away again. Till later XXXX AidanXX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -
Just a quick pop-in to say hello to you all - good to see Kerrin back from hols and rested
Diddicat has been out visiting and came in landed on the bot so he was upside down  Chasing me off my laptop already so she can skype....be warned!
I promise to post properly tomorrow
Barbara has let me know that Hileena is due TSR so need to pop in and add my love bless her
Love to you all

Charrise, I kept some of my shoes and sandals for quite a while. I liked to know they were there even though I couldn’t wear them. I have got rid of most of them now though. You did right getting the man back to check the blind. Are you absolutely sure it’s right now or maybe he needs to come back and check again.
Carol, well done on all the walking. Sometimes it’s worth the payback to do something we enjoy. Tea and cake at the end is always a good thing. Wonder if all the walking did bring your baby a little early. Your boiler is playing up now. It seems to be going round. Hope it went well with your weigh-in. Did you go after all? I’d be the same, going to get weighed in the morning. I’d probably wear less too.
Toni, my daughter was born in June ’76 and I kept her in nothing but a vest. I even put a nappy under her rather than on her. With both boots being black, maybe no-one would notice. Thank you for the pics of the fish. I do like them.
Kerrin, hope you enjoyed your time off and now you’re back to being super busy at school. Hope your hands do hold out.
Joan, so you are recycled pensioners? I like the idea of that. Hope you’ve been able to get out in to the sun for a while.
Kath, so sorry to hear about your friend’s sister. What with that and cutting your oromorph, it’s no wonder you are weepy and missing your daughter. I’m glad you are feeling a little better today. It will take a little time. (((hugs)))
Barbara, my kids were born in the 70s, my daughter in June ’76. I could hardly walk about for the couple of months before, it was so hot. Isn’t it lovely now being to sit in the garden for a while? Just as well you were there to save the pigeon. It’ll be fine without a couple of feathers. Hope you enjoyed the fish.
Aiden, your OH has been very busy. It’s good to help others. And Pepe has been making a mess with his litter. Hope he cleaned it up again. You are getting a new phone. Lovely. I’ve had mine for 2 ½ years and I’m still happy with it.
I had a lovely day on Sunday. Went to my DIL's parents for lunch. Lovely meal and then some chatting and playing with my youngest GD. Monday, I went out looking for half price Easter eggs. Managed to get one for everyone. I got myself one too. Ate half of it yesterday afternoon then was ill for the rest of the afternoon and all night. Unless it was co-incidence. Still feel a bit off today. Went to Tesco and didn't want to buy anything. My BIL was there so gave me a lift home. When I told him I never ever wanted to see chocolate again, he couldn't believe it.
I have taken 2 hours to post as I've been watching Holby and One Born so copied and pasted. Hope I haven't got anyone's messages mixed up. :oops:Christine0 -
Evening to all, hope everyone is ok
Hi Toni, glad you are ok, rather tired I would guess.
Diddicat was on the PC, talking to his lordship. There was discussion about which batch numbers on his food, so he is being extra vigilant and fussy.
Oh dear, Miss Sleek on top of bot, poor thing, upside down. What is she like
I hope all goes well for Hilena with her up coming op.
You rest up now and we will see you tomorrow / today.
Hi Christine - oh dear, you have been poorly, it must have been a little bug, not possible to be chocolate, well, depending how big the egg was I suppose. I hope you feel better today.
No, Pepe is not houseproud, he needs the vacuum following him, he is house trained, but loves to throw litter as far as possible. Bless him.
Yes, at some point this week, the phone will arrive, I keep checking the online status, but there is nothing to track at the moment. Trouble is we are out tomorrow morning and Thursday morning when the post man comes, just hope one of the neighbours are in to sign for it.
OH has been very busy, helping out, everyone is very appreciative. Even small jobs, make a big difference.
Glad you had a lovely day on Sunday, with family and then bargain hunting on Monday, with unwanted side effects. Oh dear, not wanting to see chocolate again, I am sure we will find a cure, I will ask Dr George.
Now we have an election coming up. I think it is the best thing and I hope there is a landslide victory and we can have some continued stability through all this Brexit.
Everyone take lots of care. Look at me, posting before midnight.

Morning everyone.
The dancecourse/workshop was very good yesterday but achy body to pay for it last night. Moving around bare feet all day meant sore feet last night. Looking forward to a more sedentary day today although do. Do need to practice with tennis team for hour or so later.
Hope the phone arrives ok. It is a pain when they try to deliver and no one is in.
Chocolate making one ill, whatever next? I'd be ill all the time.
Till later, train arriving in London.

Morning Kerrin!! You poor feet. Can you not be allowed pumps in the circumstances, but I am glad you enjoyed the dance class. Hope tennis practice doesn't finish you off :? Have a good day
Morning Aidan Did Miss Slimcea skype or snap-cat any photos to Pepe last night? She took several of her collision with the bot yesterday  Apparently the broomstick is fine  Yes they have been discussing the serial numbers in detail and suspect a particular member of staff (at the vet's for some reason), of poisoning them.
As for litter swishing on the floor....well yes that is another of Diddicat's tricks and specialities really so apologies
Please do let me know whether the 'fake' nest deters the wasps. :?
Nice starry sky picture there
Christine the clowns are so happy there in the bigger tank. I couldn't take a better photo as they are sooo scatty!! Bless them
I was here in 1976 and according to my Mum my lips were still blue!! I was always cold being, in those days, way to thin!
It was the same as that with Charley far too hot even for a nappy. We lived in a lovely old Victorian 2 up 2 down and I used to have her in the yard at the back...sigh. Happy memories eh? Imagine being able to do that to a baby not yet due!!! I have the full support of my midwife though
I have nearly tied up and de-headed all my daffs and then the pond has started calling me!! I hope I can make something of it this year like yours.
Christine chances are feeling sick was more to do with either eating too much in general, (I bet you eat less at home at lunch-time!), or a wee bug.
Never ever is it chocolate!!
Barbara yours were 70's babies too '76 was amazing I know I was there, but according to my Mum I was still cold. I think '95 was similar. Remember 2003? we went over 100 didn't we? and I had had my back surgery so was off sick.
Our rd is 30, but being opposite the Church there are often parked cars so ought to be slower. I wish Daisycat wouldn't cross over I have dreamt she has been hit
Thanks for the heads-up on Hileena yesterday
Kath I am so glad you were not so weepy yesterday and hope today is even a bit better. You know we all care about each other on here.((())) xxx
Joan I survived the day thank goodness and today should be a little easier. I hope you are doing ok and Sue too? I think you're right about you - nothing slowed you down despite CP until the arthritis...grrr!!
The sun is out, but I hope it stays pleasantly warm/cool.
Love to everyone

Good afternoon peeps .. beautiful sunny day here and the park looks wonderful .. such a sight for sore eyes!
Aiden excitement must be building in anticipation of the S8 .. fingers crossed for its safe arrival. Me and smartphones don't go well together .. I bought one about 4yrs ago plus a pretty pink cover and despite my daughter and several others showing me the how-to's it remains somewhat baffling to moi! .. but it does look nice adorning my table I do have a trusty old one that I keep for any car emergencies which is enough for me.
Kathleen I am thinking of you and hoping you will continue to let us know how things are going .. very pleased that you have managed to get to a bit of a better place.
Cerrin Such a busy bee! .. all sounds excellent .. dancing tennis .. two of my favourites and I used to play badminton I did lots of line dancing in my later years 3-4 times a week.
Glad that the gala went well .. bare feet? you must have danced your socks off!
Christine I kept 3 pairs of shoes from my young years - 6" platforms and wedges .. and they're still in my cupboard but the ones I was referring to I had bought when I went on cruises every year and I'm too wonky on my feet to wear them now.
My kitchen blind is being replaced and is in the process of being made .. pity that neither of us thought to check about which side to put the cord .. I think he was a bit gutted when he realized his mistake.
Such a pity the chocolate egg made you feel ill I'm quite sure when you're confronted with another one it will be a no?.. (ahem!)
Carol How did the WI go? I think it's nice to have a group to go to. I am doing calorie and carb counting and trying to keep the carbs under 100 .. I do love a bit of bread .. I know that SW is very popular but I can't get my head around it and I'm rather addicted to calorie counting anyway.
Hallo to everyone else .. sorry I can't remember each person but have a good day and love to all :sun:All the world is mad except thee and me and even thee's a little odd!
Birthday - AUGUST 22nd0 -
Afternoon to all, pleasant, not too warm, just right.
Hi Kerring, glad the dance course was enjoyable, not sure about going bare foot for so long, that would leave me all at sea.
Some tennis practice, but a more relaxed day should ease things a little.
I know, chocolate making you feel poorly, unheard of  Must have been a rogue bug.
The phone has been shipped, but the tracking is not working at the moment   I bet it comes tomorrow when we are out.
Hi Toni, Pepe did mention that Miss Sleek had been doing gymnastics in the garden, no mention of landing on bot. Ahh, I can see where Pepe is coming from with the Vets, he hates one particular Vet, as I know all too well, from his last visit when I ended up on more AB's than he did. It will be him that Miss Sleek is reminding him of, saying that the food is poisoned.
I thought is was Miss Sleek saying that pawing litter as far as you can, is the way to do things properly  They are a pair. Butter wouldn't melt at the moment, all spread out on the back of the sofa.
You were cold, in the summer of 76, my oh my, bit like may late Mum, she was a cold morsel. I was doing my mock O levels I think in that year. I remember the Rectory lawn, went completely brown and dessert like.
Steady with the pond, do we know how deep it is :? no leaning in too far.
No, chocolate cannot make anyone poorly, it is impossible, I have asked Dr George.
Oh I would be hairless about the road, even though it is a 30 zone, do people actually keep to that? No more dreams, I will be worrying now.
Hi Joan, I have not heard of Pendle Cake, but I will certainly look it up.
I am sure I will get my hands on the phone, one way or another lol.
Uncle and Aunt from Swindon are up for a few days now, staying with Mum n Dad. (mums younger brother). From your neck of the woods.
You both take care, hugs for less pain from your foot and hope you can get out and about a little.
Hi Barbara, hair is looking nice, primped and preened. Mum n Dad came in for theirs cutting today. Mine is definitely all grey, short, just as I like it. Grey is nice
We do post at the same time quite often, as you said, great minds think alike........
Pendle Village is just of the M65, junction 12 at Burnley. Where you thinking of Barden Mill? That is all now part of Pendle Village. Does that make sense :? :?
Well, the phone is shipped, I keep trying to track it, but that is not working at the moment, typical. Anyway, it is en route
Phones are my guilty pleasure and it will keep me quiet for hours I am sure.
All the neighbours say we are banned from ever moving, none of them know what they would do without us, ahh, bless them all. That's nice, but, if we win the lotto. We would have to do a moonlight flit.
We will meet up with everyone tomorrow and go the Mill, have lunch there and coffee :?
Have you 3 mouths to feed, with the puskins at the window They love you
Hi Charrisse, glad the park looks lovely, you do have a great view.
Yes, phone excitement is building, I would be lost without it, the only thing that knows what we should be doing, when, where and why. I think it knows more about me, than I do.
Oh I had platform shoes, nearly broke my neck a few times. Strutting round Nottingham, falling down flights of steps, I was lethal on them.
The nice man from Hilary's Blinds is coming back then best have the kettle on.
Kath, I hope you are feeling not too bad, hugs on their way to you and to Christine, Mig, Elizabeth, Carol and all. I had better go and sort my pills, it is always pill time.  Needs must. I shall do battle with pompholyx AGAIN, so irritating.
Take care one and all. Scones this afternoon........................

Evening all
hope everyone is as well as can be and of course all the animals are well and behaving think i'll pop in and have a check on them. and perhaps a stroke or two or three or more
just an update on things in the Turbo household Bruising has almost gone and no longer uncomfortable to sit down. Boiler failed to switch on this morning but managed to kick start it myself as I have done on many occasions. this evening it turned its self on as normal so just need to check it in the morning when I get up and engineer is due with replacement part between 10 and 1pm.
didn't have too much payback from Arthur after all the walking just a bit stiff achy and tired yesterday but ok today.
Decide to go to morning weigh in yesterday and had gained 1lb so still in target so can now say officially at target for 3 yrs. unfortunately you don't get any certificates for it you get one when you get to target that says target member then when you have been at target for a year you get one saying Diamond member so I suppose I am now a double Diamond member ha ha I also have two pin badges that say target member and diamond member. so now its back to counting a month at a time again to see how long it lasts. :?: :?: :sun:
ooh scones Aiden too too nice but as I our cafe only has calorie free ones that's ok but is the jam calorie free too hope so
Cherrisse SW is a lot to take in at the start but when you get into it its so easy and you don't have all the measuring and counting to do. that's why I find it so easy to stick too. and because although mr turbo has stopped going now but weighs every 2 weeks at home we eat the same things for our meals and so I dont have too cook anything different for him like so many people seem to have to do. and if anyone comes for a meal in our house they get it cooked using sw friendly recipes and sw way. and I have not had a complaint yet.
Barbara I too am glad that my daughter was not born in the park funny enough I was born a month early both my daughters were early also my grandson was supposed to be born on Christmas day and was born 5th of Dec not sure about the 2 granddaughters. although my daughter went into labour naturally with them all she still ended up with c sections for them in the end. and both my great granddaughters were early one by 10 days and one by 8 days.
No Joan its not recycled pensioner I maintain it's recycled teenagers
sorry if ive missed anyone
love you allStay positive always👍xx0 -
A good evening to all. Thought I had better drop a line or two and leave my good night piccy.
Hi Carol I see you will all ready for the gas man today, to sort out your boiler. You have obviously kicked it into touch before, to keep it going. Hopefully it will be all working as it should be as soon as.
Glad that there was not too much payback, from all the walking.
And you are officially three years on target. way to go Carol. SO so pleased for you, triple gold stars for you. Help yourself to as many calorie free scones, cream and jam.
My SIL and Nephews wife both do SW and they often have the same meals with the family, I know my SIL loves the meatballs and lasagne. It does seem a lot easier than some of the older diets, I remember counting calories and points to the nth degree, on more than one occasion. After a while, you lost the will.
All I can mention about births, is that my late Mum was 6 stone, wet through and I was 10 lb when I was born  I did ask one time, why didn't I have any brothers or sisters. The reply was very quick :? :?
I agree with the recycled teenagers, lol.
OK, message through that phone is being delivered today, where will we be, OUT !!  I will leave a large note on the door, where to leave it with neighbours or in garden box, but please don't take it away, or I will be throwing a lot of teddies out from my pram.
Right, potter time. Next door has been taken into hospital, we don't know what is amiss, just went to the kitchen earlier and ambulance was outside. Still waiting for his wife to come home, so getting a bit worried.
Love to all, take lots of care, as always, many hugs. XX Aidan

Emily has just told me I could get something from my GP to reduce the withdrawal symptoms. Feel so sad all the time. Aidan, any thoughts on what she might give me?
I've decided I hate Morphine and wish I'd never started it.

Oh Kath I agree with Emily you should take advice from the doc. At the very least it should be reduced VERY slowly. ((()))
I hope you had a good day out Barbara? I had to do much mole-hill levelling today and took Lucy to Drs to sort out lots of post-cancer stuff. Blood test for her tomorrow bless her.
Joan I am so pleased you are getting out already!! Are you walking the dogs on your scooter?

I hope all is ok with next door :?
Mistress sleek says it is 'the bad vet' that Pepe told her about and I think she is pretending she didn't collide with the bot

Oh dear Barbara
I hope you're not to shaken up and the lad did ok. I take it, it was the car's fault though that doesn't help anyone does it. No helmet? His Mum will be telling him off I hope.
I think moles prefer in-farmed bits and definitely not anywhere with concrete or tarmac!!
I think I will buy the biggest pile of sork bulbs ever this year and really try them.
