We found a lovely nursery!! It's 70 years old this year and was recommended to us by the neighbours I go to choir with and guess what??????!!!!!!!! Paul bought us a massive wisteria. It will definitely flower next year it is WAY taller than me :) I am in love with it.

He will pick it up later this week when the van is empty. Give me time to clear the wall of ivy and (do you all think I need trellis???) decide which end to put it.

I will take a photo for your opinions

    th_20170611_185043.jpg

There is a lovely wall under there. Now to the left? Or the right??

Hoorah Barbara the mattress is here :) have you got to haul it upstairs....another reason for getting a park home/bungalow/stair lift??

Did you get very muddy then? The mud pool was overfull I thought already and then of course it rained :?

Yes indeed a bucket full of energy I am certain she would still find anyone one who needs one :)

Aidan I still think it was a nice blessing a lot of Irish blessings are nice. we are also singing Amazing Grace (unusual version) and an 'Irish Blessing'!!

Lucy couldn't believe you found a photo of Daisy and Pepe and another one up your tree or was it one of ours??? I think they do rather love each other. :D She will love this one too and agrees Diddicat does have a big heart.

Ignore any threats of extra diagnoses I do the same who needs them? Not you or me for sure. Just treat the dry eyes ;)

The films were so sweet weren't they? Johnny is a good 'un. They are active at night and carol brought in more fruit and I have some more today to drop off.

I rested today and went to the new nursery we had omelettes and some lemon meringue....in a lovely 'vintage' café there.

She 'cat lady' was really really ill. then she thought the cats had given her fleas!!! Then she saw the Doc.....

She has flown past me twice more now in her car and done some gardening at Church bless her.

With Charley's cat we have to make a cat 'sausage roll' with a thick towel to see the vet.

Just had a couple of cakes small ones honestly.

Kath I HATE hate hate stabby pains they are dreadful and can't seem to be sorted. I get them in my foot rt outside I think it's my back. Not sure. Aidan thinks it could indeed be the vasculitis??

Johnny has shared the biscuits - how sweet is he?

5th stair down eh? Ideal place to keep and eye on you all!!! :animal_busy:  Not at all nice being on the receiving end of proper cat claws

I bet you still have the scars to prove that. Was she Topsy to start with and her name grew like ours??

Right I suppose I had better get something done before my shower :)

Lazy day I have had

    Evening all

Have had a real ouchy sort of day today got up with both knee and lower back playing up pain quite bad so have had an indoors pottering around a little and resting type of day. did not go to church this morning I didn't fancy sitting for an hour or just over on the hard pews. :o pain a lot better now.
KathYes it is horrible I get the odd stabbing pain too that really hurts mine is osteoarthritis too. Love the puss cats name.

Barbara Yes with us the lunch day out each week is good for us as we both get involved in different things and do our own thing so this is something we can do together. I think the baby you are talking about is most likely our youngest great granddaughter miss Graycie-Mai whose Christening we were at 2 weekends ago. yes despite the fact we live a good few miles away from one another we are a close knit family.

Toni That's all right I stole the idea from a friend in the first place ha ha but it works well with us.

Aiden hope the eyes feel better soon doesn't sound very nice at all . the muffins were scrummy .

Think I will potter off down to see the zoo and check on them all and have some cuddles with the sloths and bush babies .

    so night night all
    take care
    Stay positive always👍xx

Barbara, I see you have your new mattress. Did you manage to get it on the bed or are you sleeping on the stairs? You’ve been playing in the mud with the warthogs. Hope you didn’t fall in. And you’ve been to your niece’s stepdad’s funeral. I think it is terrible that his partner is not allowed to stay if she has lived there for years. Just because her name wasn’t on the rent book. As if she hasn’t got enough to deal with.

Toni, thanks for letting us know about Tezz. How very sad. I only read a few of her posts but have left a message. What a shame the ‘cat lady’ missed out on some important days. Hope she is better now. Did you get anything done in the garden? I did about half an hour this afternoon before it started to rain. I have never believed that hypnotherapy works but it obviously does for Lucy. Poor Daisycat and Paul. He was probably as shocked as she was.

Carol, I think we all have to learn the technique of nodding and saying yes in the right places at times. Good idea to have your knitting with you. Great idea to have dinner dates with your husband. Many people don’t bother much after being married for a while. I see you are getting on with teddy. I’ll keep my eyes open for pics.

Aiden, you have lots of chocolate muffins left over. I would have one but I’ve just eaten a rather large cherry one from the farmers’ market. Lovely it was. Hope your eyes feel better soon. It's awful when they are not right. So tempting to rub them. I tend to close mine and gently press on them with my fingers rather than rub. Sounds as if you are enjoying the tennis.

Kath, the pain must have been so bad if you were crying. I’m glad it has eased now and you were able to get out. I have a wheatbag too. I keep mine over the back of the sofa but don't use it.

Joan, so Tuesday you’ll have the heating man and the housing association man. I’ve been keeping my fingers crossed for you to get your heating fixed once and for all but it doesn’t seem to be working.

I spent the day in York yesterday. Met up with two school friends. We spent most of the time in cafes drinking coffee and having lunch and non-stop chatting. My daughter has booked flights for me to go to Australia in July. I had asked her to book the ones I found but she felt she had found better ones. Problem is now, I have 9 hours instead of 2 1/2 to wait in Dubai airport and won’t get home till nearly midnight rather than lunch time. Oh well, it’s done now. I’ll have to make the best of it.

Evening everyone. Still very windy here, no broom fly zone at present.

Yes Barbara, the tennis was very good, Raffa is called the King of clay and with good reason. He has come back with a vengeance after nearly a year out with knee injuries.
Stan can also play like a demon, but he was not on his top game today. Every match is different.

Looking foward to Stuttgart and Nottingham this week, Roger is playing in Stuttgart and of course I like Nottingham as it was my home town and the tennis club is not far from the Queens Medical Hospital, where I trained :)

So, the mattress is there and I am hoping that by the time you read this you will have had a nights sleep on it, after launching it up the stairs. A pity they did not take it to the room of your choice.
OK, I won't worry about OH's wrinkles, but it is never too late :D

Yes, I think Boots bought out Liz Earl, but she is still the brand ambassador. I think most of the lotions are very much the same. I like the eyebright, another one you can keep in the fridge.

No, naps and sleep do not always help, it just has to pass on its own. It is unpleasant thought, going to bed and waking up in more pain and more tired than when you went to sleep   I might well be due a visit to my GP, it is a long time since we had a review.........

That's the nature of the beast though. Cris did say I will send a bucket full of energy, I will take two please and thank you. I was always the one that said abundant blessings, after I had eaten all my maltesers. I am getting a very sweet tooth again and I must try and curb it a bit. Not that my blood sugars are high. Scones don't fall into the sweet category though.:lol: :?

I hope you are all cleaned up from the muddy warthog visit. No, bush babies like clean cuddles. Of course you will be clean, you have been in your new bed. Silly me.

OH, so someone has a big wisteria then do they   It sounds like a lovely nursery and was well worth finding out about.
Now, where to put it. Well, the ivy, don't Spi---s like to live in ivy.........I think they do :? Maybe rake through it first. Personally I would place it towards the right hand side and then it can work its way along the wall, trailing all those lovely flowers huh, not that I am jealous or anything like that.:lol:
I am sure there will be a lovely wall underneath the ivy.

Maybe a trellis until it is settled in and growing, then you can tie it to hooks etc, as it grows along the wall.

I love Amazing Grace and how lovely to be singing an Irish blessing. I used to like playing Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring, at the end of evensong.
Family Communion I loved Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D Minor. That was a hard one to learn, but is sounds so fab on a Church organ.

I think the one of Miss Sleek and Mr Pepe Posh Paws, was in one of your trees, I think they were looking out over towards the Church, well, Pepe was, I think Miss Sleek was keeping an eye out for voles.

Glad Lucy is liking the romance :) Pepe said that Miss Sleek was talking about a veil and going for a fitting..............Has there been a proposal? I know they touched whiskers.......... 4512a2f3c0fb02452ac102ae3dfa9f33.jpg
     :?
I will have to have words with his nibs.

Yes, def treat the dry eyes, I am not, repeat not, having another thing added to the list.

Poor cat lady, I guess she might think that the clickenpox was flea bites, but by all accounts I would doubt that a flea would even dare think about going in.
I can imagine she was proper poorly. Good that she is on the mend and out and about, busy away.

Oooh, a vintage cafe, how lovely, was the coffee good, it all sounds very nice and I am sure it will not be the last time you head over there. Lazy days are good, we need them Toni.

I think it is on Pepe posh paws that he has to be put in a blanket on arrival into the vets rooms.

Hi Carol, sorry to hear that you have been in pains too, it seems to be a bad time for a lot of us, changing seasons and all that.
I could not sit on a pew for more than a few minutes, before I had to move and potter. I cannot blame you for not wanting to sit for over an hour. It doesn't sound long, but, we all understand fully.

I am sure the cuddles were mutually appreciated by the bush babies and sloths.

Hi Christine oh I never thought that Barbara might be asleep on the stairs :o:lol::lol:
You managed a short time in the garden, that's ok, it all adds up. OH sorted some pots and moved things around a bit. Tied up the Obelisk as it was leaning in the wind.

Our dentist uses hypnotherapy on some of his patients. No point trying it on me, I would be way too agitated. I am glad it worked well for Lucy, with her fear of needles.

A big cherry muffin sounds very nice and the chocolate ones will keep for another day.

Oh yes, we love our tennis, completely tennis mad. I like the grass season best, with Wimbledon being the icing on the cake. It is always so refined, everyone in whites, which is only fitting. Some of the outfits are a bit wayward, lol. Mattick Sands wears some really cooky outfits, but she is lovely with it.

Sounds like you had a lovely time in York, meeting up with friends, it is a wonderful place, a long time since I have been. Used to love walking around the city walls.

So you are off to Australia, way to go. It is a long journey, all credit to you. You will be able to move around and potter on the plane. It is a long wait in Dubai on the way back, time just drags, even more so when you are wanting to be home again. I am sure it will all be ok and you will have a wonderful time when you are there.

Well, I had better have another potter. Love to everyone here and those not about at the moment.
Stay safe and take lots of care. XX Aidan images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRwWanO-bvvfmkqgcQ43k1BGtvpSVJ-Wp25Wc1SGM0Bknhv9QDnTA

Lovely tree Aidan and blessing thank you :)

Oh yes Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring very stirring and pretty :) as for Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D Minor I can see it would be very difficult to play but so atmospheric.

If the picture of the cats is in our tree it is indeed looking over the Church, but below are some hedges containing voles....

Has there been a proposal??? fittings did you say??? Lucy asked whether cats can have their 'surgeries' reversed :?

The wind has dropped here what about your end? I don't want her taking any risks. Pepe has his theory this week if I remember rightly.

Yes the right side looks ideal for the tree my only worry is that it might join those conifers we topped last year. Mind you I suspect they will be 'going' as the tops still look pretty dreadful and straggly :(

The vintage café was great I had tea in a vintage pot complete with tea-cosy!!

Christine :) I am so very pleased you are off to Australia how long will you be there for? FABULOUS!! Can you go and have a look around Dubai maybe? That would be nice?

I bet you and your friends were all 16 again and just as daft  I think that must have been lovely :)

Because it's the mind hypnotherapy can work, but only if you are ready to change I think. If you know what I mean??

I did manage a small potter outside like a tidy up and watering a bit of deadheading too. Paul needs to help me with my pipes for solar irrigation now

    How is the pond doing?

I'm glad you posted on Tezz's thread so sad yes :(

Carol I hope your ouchy day has gone off? A lot of people take a cushion with them to Church you know save their backs pain from the pews.

I can see you've been to see the animals because the fruit has been restocked :D

There's a lady posted below about knitting to help with your arthritis I don't know if you saw it?

    Morning all..dull outside..
Christine I didn't have to sleep on the stairs thank goodness.. OH managed to get it on the bed...and it was comfy...just have to get used to it being new..I do love York we have stayed there a few times..when I was mobile ..its hard to get somewhere near that has parking..so good to catch up with friends.. :D so you are off to Australia ..I really do admire you..knowing me I would get lost ..but you have done it before..it will be lovely to see your daughter and family ..very exciting..hopefully the 9 hours will soon pass.
Aiden I love the pic..I just knew this would happen..or is it a practice one till the main day..I do like her choice of dress... lots of tennis then to look forward to ..the next one I will watch will be Wimbledon...I remember when young and on a caravan holiday ..and no TV so we would look in the television shops to see if it was on...and see how they were doing..
Yes you go and have a review at your GPs...I always worry that when you have Arthritis the GPs put everything down to it..hope all is well..2 buckets of energy coming your way.. :)
Toni ..you got a large Wisteria... :D bet you cant wait to see it flowers..you be careful getting the ivy down...so Lucy is wondering it her op can be reversed..or Pepes come to that..maybe somewhere down the line its early days yet..must say the Nursery sound nice...60 years... :D
Joan my appointment is next week but one 20 something ...I am not looking forward...hope all is well with you and Sue..and your little family... :)

Better go and get some feeds ready...
    Love to everyone xxxxx

Oh Joan, grans do give us nicknames. Topsy began as Topsy Turvy Twinkletoes, but we usually just called her Tops. Although OH, who has never been keen on cats, used to call her something rather more unpleasant. :o  One of my aunts used to call me Klondike Kate.

Toni, sounds as though you are selecting music for a puss cat wedding. Perhaps you should add Duetto Buffo di due Gatti by Rossini.

Perhaps Pepe intends a honeymoon on broomstick. :D

Afternoon peoples, hope everyone is as ok as can be.

Well, it transpires that Miss Sleek and Pepe Posh Paws have been watching Say Yes To The Dress on TLC, with David Emanuel........Miss Sleek was rather taken with some of the gowns, sparkling and gorgeous. So they had a dressing up session. Goodness, I thought I was going to have to buy a new hat !! :?

It was all a bit sudden, after all, they have only touched whiskers.

Pepe said he could not possibly have anything done, that involved the vet, especially of a "personal" nature. Miss Sleek, she just fainted. :lol:

It is still too windy here, the broom flying ban is still in force, until tomorrow. I am sure there will be Skyping and a lot of laughter, getting us all in a fluster.

I am sure the HUGE wisteria that you have, will be lovely. Jealous, nope, not a bit. The conifers sound like they are heading for the bin, they do get a bit shabby in the middle. (bit like myself).

An old T pot and a cosy too, how wonderful. Makes it taste even better.

I will ask Miss Slimkins to remind Paul about the watering system. He owes her one, after being squished :?

When is your ENT, I have a feeling it is tomorrow, I seem to remember the 13th. I will be taking charge of the cloak and bringing everyone along, including puskins, scones and two bush babies.

Hi Joan, we are all doing ok, Mum looked very tired today, I asked if she had any pain and she said no, but she did look weary when we were out having coffee. :?
Tomorrow is the big day for the heating assembly. Let's hope they can get their act together.
So you were called Topsy, bless. :D

Hi Barbara, glad you managed to sleep on the new mattress, it sounds like it is a comfy one, but they do take a few nights to get used to them. I always thought the buttoning would cause problems, but they don't seem to, so far. Keep us posted.........

As you will have read, Pepe and Slimkins have been playing dress up, after watching too much reality TV.

Oh yes, tennis is on as we speak, catching up with the Stuttgart tournament, roger is not playing until Wed. Queens in London is a lovely tournament too.
I can remember watching TV outside shop windows. Especially when the first colour ones came out. The people that owned the village shop had one and I asked them if I could see it, I was in awe, it was like magic. Needless to say I pestered Dad for ages, to get one, they were SO SO expensive.

Thank you for the buckets of energy, most welcome. I will make an appointment to see the Doc.

Thank you for sorting the feeds, you are a star. Dr Doolittle is about somewhere.

Kath, you were Klondike Kate, wow, that was a fancy name to have. Was there gold in them thar hills.:lol:
I will keep that music on hold, for the wedding, as and when, there seems to be no rush now, they were kidding us all along..............typical, winding us up. I won't mention honeymoons to him, or he will be watching the travel channel.

Hope you are not in too much pain and able to go out and about ((()))

Right, I must away and take my pills. Hi to everyone else, those in and out of the cafe.

Hugs to all, catch you later. Some cream cakes to nibble on. XX Aidan Fresh-Cream-Cakes.jpg

Cream pastries I'll have 4!!! Thank you very much Aidan!

Well that is a relief!! I thought I was going to have to loose a bit of weight super-fast!!! reality TV was it?

That will be Lucy's influence so sorry

I think they are happily enjoying courting bless them. Touching whiskers is enough for now.

It's only breezy here Miss Sleek has been out for a fly, but I told her to stay local as it's too windy still your way.

You are quite right ENT tomorrow morning :? Cloak is on the rail behind this lot

    p045.gif

I have checked out the conifers and if the go we get about 6ft more garden and no loss of privacy as the neighbour has some hedging on the other side anyway :) Off with them I think.

I hope Mum is resting and not too weary today ((()))

Kath I thoroughly enjoyed listening to pusskins singing. You should have seen Diddicat though sneaking up to check they weren't real. Sniffing and meerkating.

You know what I mean. My sis had a cat called Topsy :)

Klondike Kate eh? Very funny naughty Aunty. Mind you I have given all my nieces silly names. It means we love them :)

I will be careful with the IVY Barbara, Paul will do most of it I'm sure we already got ride of loads at the front of the bungalow  Some people are Ivy mad

You'd love the nursery it's amazing!! Really full to brimming and a nursery so they grow it all on site.

The wisteria is huge so I should have one or 10 flowers next year :) I absolutely cannot wait :D

I hope the pusskins don't want their ops reversed I know Aidan and I and all responsible cat owners hate doing it, but it is for the best.

So, so far so good with the mattress??? I am patient I can wait to hear. Mine isn't easing my bones at all ATM even with pillows here and there :(

    All bottles done then?

    Well done

Joan I have nearly been here a year and I feel so settled, but still VERY lucky :)

    Morning, (just), to everyone.

I hope you enjoyed the 4 cream pastries Toni :) They did look so good.
Yes, it was reality TV, we like Say Yes To The Dress, little realising that Pepe Posh Paws was taking it all in and relaying it back to Miss Sleek, who was watching it on catch up...................

I was all set to get a new suit  I think you are right, they are happy romancing and touching whiskers every now and then, bless them

The winds seem to have abated now, so I guess Miss Sleek may well pop over early morning, while we are all abed.

I thought I was right about the ENT. I managed to find the cape, although it took a while. Rest assured we will all be there, trying to keep quiet and making sure that hands are available for holding as required. ((()))
I hope all goes well. Will await news

Definitely go for the extra 6 feet of garden space, without a doubt. The wisteria will soon grow well. I know they like full sun and well drained soil, they also like tomato feed or those feed granules mixed in the earth. Some of the ones in France used to flower twice as I recall, they were just stunning.

We are not lovers of Ivy at all, sometimes it looks nice on a property, bit is is quite aggressive with its clinging to stone and brickwork. It takes some getting off, grips like a limpet. There are some houses around here that are covered, either in Ivy or Virginia Creeper. The latter looks lovely come Autumn, but it takes some keeping on top of. All those bugs and spi---s

I think we will have a quiet word with the District Nurse re Mum and her diet etc. She is due to visit soon her soon, so a little word in her shell like.......

No, Pepe is not for having any vetinary treatments. He had the "snip" in France. They were very good, a French lady who spoke fluent English came with us to the vets (we had not been in France long then), she read them the riot act, that he was THE most expensive puskins in the south of France and should be treated with the utmost care and attention.
He was, plus, after all her telling them what to do, the vets all spoke quite good English, lol. Pepe was young then and had not realised that all vets had to be bitten and clawed

I cannot believe you have been in your house for nearly a year, goodness, where did that time go :o

Hi Barbara I see Oh is attacking your Ivy too, it grows at a pace for sure.
I will pick you up early, so we can be under the cloak in good time for Toni's appointment. I have the scones in a big lock and lock box.
Yes, I would go to Wimbledon, or Queens, as long as we had a hospitality box, so I could potter. I remember Toni going. OH went, when Billy Jean King was playing, so that is a little while back. :?

No, you don't ramble, we just like to natter, big difference. :D:D

Hope you had a good nights rest on your new mattress.

It was reasonably quiet at the GC today, often is on a Monday. We bought some Geraniums for our raised planters, where we park the car, I say we............

Apart from that and a little shopping, we have had a quiet day, OH is busy with his jewellery making, he is using super tiny seed beads at the moment, I cannot even see them, never mind thread them and work with them  I would have eyes like a tree frog.

All our lovelies in the zoo are settled, happy and getting comfy for the night, (apart from the bush babies, sloths and the owls). I can hear the meerkats chattering away in their burrows. They had some scorpions earlier :? :?

Hi to everyone else, hoping all are ok, Kerrin, Elizabeth, Carol, Christine, Charrisse, Mig .........

I had better do some more pottering. I am chair shaped. N Night XXX Aidan

    Morning all

thought i'd pop in early today as I didn't get in yesterday I had a busy day. out earlier than usual as had to be back early as had another trader from the charity card company that I sell cards for coming to visit to have a chat, as she lives very close to me. she has a 12week old baby so I had some baby cuddles which was lovely. After she went I was busy sorting out some clothes that are no longer any use to me to go to the charity shop. then it was time to cook our evening meal day gone. Well no slimming world for me this morning as I really could not be bothered and also I know I have gained this week and risk being just out of my target.

BarbaraI do agree Graycie-mai and Lillie-rose both have gorgeous smiles I have so many photos of them saved on facebook and in frames in living room and the grandchildren. its unbelievable . Graycie was 6 months old yesterday cannot believe how time has flow by its Scary. and don't worry Mr T still gets the spelling of her name wrong. my problem is when I start getting their names mixed up.:lol:

Toni I'm with the others under the cloak. and yes my ouchy day did ease by the end of the day. yes I did a good stock up of fruit they go through so much of it greedy animals.:lol: I think the knitting is good therapy makes you forget the pain, I also do cross stitch and that has the same effect.

Aiden Pastries were yummy . will check on the zoo before I go and make sure all is well and no body is misbehaving.

Joan the pain on Sunday did ease a lot by the end of the day.

ChristineYes your right about people dont bother once they have been married a while. Teddy now has 2 legs and half a body so far  .

must go now as it is time to go out in the nice sunshine we have here today.
hope you all have a good day
    Stay positive always👍xx

Morning all, I see we are all gathered under the cloak, good job there is a light in here. All hand holdings at the ready Toni.

Morning Joan I hope the lady from the housing does manage to come out and actually sort something out for you both. It has been going on so long now, longer than Corry. :?

Hi Carol, thank you for checking that all is well in the zoo, before cloak duties.
You had one of those "where did that go" days yesterday, but you had some cuddles, which was nice and managed to sort some clothes for the charity shop - that reminds me, I must do the same.

Don't worry about SW, I am sure you will be in your target ranges next time. My Nephews Wife sometimes goes off target, but it comes right the next time she goes.

The pictures of Graycie and Lillie are lovely, I have had a nice look through, those cute little frocks :)
I cannot believe 6 months have passed already -

I am glad that your ouch day eased somewhat, knitting and or cross stitch is a good distraction. I tend to potter and clean something or other, even if it is already clean  With three pupskins, there are always blankets and covers to sort and wash etc. OH does the vacuuming every day, I do have a go with the rechargeable one, it's really good, Bosch Athlet. I can do a little around their tray as they do like to throw litter.

Teddy is growing, up to half a body :? Enjoy the sunshine. :sun: Cloudy here, but that's fine by me. In fact the skies are black as soot.

I will make sure we are tidy under here, we don't want to leave a trail of crumbs, or fruit, I thought we had 2 bush babies with us, oh dear, I can only see one.

Everyone take lots of care, will carry on keeping an eye on the ENT crew, that they are doing everything correctly.

I'm settled under the cape. Don't worry Aiden, Bushbaby is sitting in my pocket nibbling Jammie Dodgers, so no crumbs on the floor. :D

Joan, Wellington - mmm - hope the surname isn't Boot. :o

We had a stroll down to the Co-op. While I'm at the hospital on Thursday, the boiler is being serviced. I hpe it's not the same man that's doing Joan's. :? Tomorrow morning DN is coming to do my blood test. What a week.

Ah, so that's where the other Bush Baby is Kath, in your pocket, being spoilt on jammy dodgers :lol: (not had them in years).

Glad you managed to have a stroll down to the Co op. No, we don't want the same boiler people that Joan and Sue are having, mind you, it is the "powers" that be, who are being awkward. And the vampire DN is coming to steal some bloods.

Should be hearing from Toni soon.............xx

Evening everyone. Been very busy again. On my way home after taking kiddies to cricket match. Carrying to equipment was too much for my ole body to handle and am now very sore. Added to the hayfever at the park.

Another tennis fan and I thought I was bad. I have tickets for wimbledon on 7th July. No hospitality box though.

Train on a go slow , just want to get home, have dinner a hot bath and crash.

Hi everyone sorry to be so late in. Thank you all for being under the cloak I feel very lucky to have you all.

Looking after random bush-babies Kath!!I saw him pop out which took my mind off that squirt up my nose of the local anaesthetic. Blimey my eyes ran didn’t they? Thanks for the tissue Barbara you know what it’s like don’t you?

Anyway the upshot of it is there are no polyps,(Aidan can tell me what would have happened if there were now ;) ), but he suspects sinus and so I am having a CT scan soon he reckoned 3-4 weeks, but not sure if that’s when I’ll hear from them or it will be done.

Did anyone come to help Joan and Sue I wonder I hope so.

Kerrin I think you need to rest as much as possible just now. . I have tickets for Wimbledon again (lucky me!) for 4th July court 2.

Carol knitting is a really good distraction for arthritic pain. I’m glad the ouchy day eased.

Have you all seen on that thread to Tezz??? Her son has thanked us all. Gosh heart-breaking

    Love and many thanks again

    Toni xxx

Ps Miss Sleek was caught coming back in at 6:50am!!! Trying to hide her broomstick behind her back!!

Toni, is there to be a wedding? And 'surgeries' reversed? How exciting. I'll be in Australia for 2 and 12 weeks. Not sure if I'll leave the airport in Dubai. I'd be worried about getting lost and not getting back in time for my next flight. There are a few things to look at inside though. You're right, my friends and I were back in our teens again for a short while. It was fun. I was thinking that hypnotherapy could only work if you believe in it otherwise you'd fight against it. My pond is chock-a-block with irises. I think the frogs must be big enough now for me to take the irises out now. I'll leave some as they give shade and somewhere to hide. Hope Paul has time to help you with your solar irrigation pipes. Just read that the kitty cats were only kidding about getting married. Had us all fooled for a while. How did your appointment go?

Barbara, I'm so glad you didn't have to sleep on the stairs. I was worried about you. Hope it feels even more comfy once you are used to it. It sounds as if your time with your niece wasn't as happy as usual with the little dog not being well. I hope they can find out what is wrong.

Aiden, so are the **** cats just playing dress up? Perhaps it is a little early to get married. Hope mum is getting some rest and feeling less weary.

Joan, did you get anything done about your heating today?

Carol, you have been very busy. How lovely to get some baby cuddles. Teddy is coming along nicely, halfway there.

Kath, you are another one being very busy. I hope it's not the same person servicing your boiler as going to Joan's. Hope the blood test goes well.

Kerrin, another busy lady. Can you get someone else to help with carrying the equipment? You shouldn't have to do it on your own if it causes so much pain. Hope it eases soon. Hope your hay fever doesn't get too bad. I get itchy eyes and sneeze more than usual but not too bad.

On the bus coming back from Tesco, a woman asked if anyone was bothered by the window being open. I was too hot and everyone else said they were fine. Then she asked another woman just getting on who said it did bother her so she shut the window. Thankfully, I was only going another 2 stops. I'm hoping the weather will be better tomorrow. Not sure if I should do some gardening or go in to town. I want to get a couple of things to take for my GC when I go.

Evening / morning to one and all.................I have a feeling it is getting warmer - borderline hot at the moment :?

Hi Barbara - I see you have had your hair done, like me, you prefer it short, Kath too,
Glad you had some time with your Niece, I am sure there was plenty to talk about. Poor doggy, that's not good. I hope they can find out what the problem is as soon as possible and that she is comfortable. Sending lots of doggy hugs ((()))

It was warm under the cloak, I see Toni is back home, phew. Billie Jean was a great player, without a doubt and did a huge amount for Ladies tennis.

We can have a corporate box, so that we can potter and not disturb the players :)

The wedding is off, they were playing dress up after watching too much reality TV. They are naughty those puskins.

Mother (tosca) had one litter of gorgeous kittens, 5 in total. Only a few months before we went to France. I had to hand deliver each one as the umbilical cords were almost none existent, so it was sterile scissors, clamps, warm towels............OH said thank God you are a nurse. I said it is a long time since I delivered a baby, let alone a litter of kittens.
Anyway, they were all wonderful and if we were not emigrating, we would have kept them all. Pepe was the one we chose as he had to be weened twice (always has been a fuss pot) and all the others went to very good homes, we vetted everyone who came with a view to buying one. It was so sad to let them go.

Mum is quite fragile at the moment, we will see her tomorrow and check out how the land lies. We were saying that she needs to eat something, as her energy levels are dropping to nill. She is seeing the Nurse on Friday and she will likely get her to see her GP.

I cannot see the smallest seed beads with my glasses on, let alone work with them.  B has done a lovely bead wrap for one of the larger Ruby Kyosite. It is fabulous. He has been very quiet while concentrating on the bead work.

Glad you slept well on your new mattress :) Memory foam is ok, but it does make you hot. I know they often do the memory foam beds with a cool topping layer.

Hi Kerrin, you are very busy and carrying far too much equipment by the sounds of it. Hugs that the soreness goes quickly.
You have tickets for Wimbledon, how lovely, I am not jealous, not at all................much. We will look out for you :)

Train on a go slow, just what you do not need when all you want to do is get home and kick back.
How are the wedding plans going, is everything running to plan?

Hi Toni, don't worry about being late in, I was waiting for an email from the cafe :)

It was no trouble being under the cloak, well, Barbara and I got a little fluster, thinking we had lost a bush baby, when it was in Kath's pocket all the time.

The local is not pleasant, was it the ice cold one? It kind of feels like it is coming out of your eyes, hence they run like mad.

Good that there are no polyps, no, I know nothing, nothing at all about snaring polyps............. :?

The scan will show if your sinuses are narrowed and or need the windows widening and sinuses draining. No, I know nothing about that either........... :? :?
I would think they should be scanning within 3-4 weeks.

More tickets to Wimbledon, right, I am going get Miss Sleek to nab them and bring them over :lol:

That is lovely to see Tezz's Son thank everyone, bless them.

Pepe has kept very quiet, he said he hadn't seen Miss Diddicat today and all the time they were off out brooming in the wee small hours.
I think they are skyping at some point overnight, I told him about your hospital visit and wants to check that all is well from Miss Sleek.

Hi Joan, my, you had a houseful, goodness, never rains lest it pours. So all the rads are going to have better thermostats and you have to keep the wall one at 20 degrees. Right, let's hope that works.
I was reading that the weather is going to get hotter. Time to wheel out the AC unit me thinks, in readiness.

Hi Christine - no, no wedding, as you will have seen, it was a dressing up session  It is a little sudden to be getting wed.

I would be the same, not wanting to leave the airport in case I missed the next flight. Maybe you can have a wander around the local vicinity. It will be super hot there. Maybe stay inside.

Sounds like the pond is getting a bit choked with the irises, I am sure it will be ok to take a good lot out. The froggies always like somewhere to hide, waiting to catch flies.

So the window on the bus had to be closed, oh, I would have melted. Good job it was not far to your stop. Town or garden, well, town could mean a nice cup of coffee and maybe a cake :)

I had better move, I am getting fidgety. That means potter time.

We are going for a coffee at the GC, Mum will ring in the morning to see if she feels up to going. Hope so, then we can have a nice chat about how she is actually feeling.

Rest well, take lots of care everyone. Love XX Aidan MI0000387052.jpg?partner=allrovi.com

Lots of Sheepsies last night Aidan :D

It really did help knowing you were all with me you know as Paul was working near.....Kath!! In Nottingham :)

The spray was cold, super-stingy and tasted a bit of bananas??? :? Don't tell me about sinuses Barbara will...I think maybe :?

Yes they have been meeting early our two pusskins and I have no doubt she will have told him what a dreadful time I had and how wicked the 'people vet' is. He will totally believe that I know

Laptop was back on again this morning so I know they were also skyping overnight  I think they touch whiskers fairly regularly now.

I wish you could have kept all of Tosca's kittens too, but Pepe was the best. I prefer the weakest one from a litter too soft aren't we? I hope Tosca was ok after the birth?

I am worried about Mum too she needs to eat Aidan. :( The DN should help if she can.

It's ok Christine! he pusskins had been watching a programme (reality TV) a bit like 'don't tell the bride'. When they realised what we thought they wound us up a bit.

Are you too scared to go out in Dubai incase you get stoned? I probably wouldn't go out on my own either to be honest.

Yes thin out your Irises :) Now is the time. Garden today - I will be out too so you can chat to me  :bee:

BUT first of all go and get some gifts for the GCs. 2 and a 1/2 weeks will be LOVELY!! :D

I think I wouldn't have asked anyone coming on the bus if they would mind the window being open - tough!!

Ah Joan :) Finally some action :) Just in time for another heatwave  but at least they are going to sort you out :D

    Love to everyone

Toni - who is loving the look of the :sun: but not the night ahead
