Well, while the votes are being counted and all the polls are saying a hung Parliament  I will write a little and await better news. :?
Firstly, Christine, apologies for missing your post, I have no idea why I sailed on by.
Getting soaked three times, is not good at all. Having to walk round Tesco's drip wet through, oh dear, not nice. Jeans are terrible when they get wet, they just hold on to water and weigh a ton.
Glad you had some pare clothes at work. How was the Bosses house, after your week off, a sight to behold, or not too bad?
Good that you found me on FB, I sent the appropriate response nice to see you I will just have a look to see if Toni has any friends ---- no, well, just the four of us. :? :?
Glad your GS got home and is carrying on as if nothing has happened, lol. I am sure his cast will have a lot of writing and drawings on very soon.
A months rain in two days - oh dear, drips.............I remember them when we were in France. Do you think you need to get someone out to check that all is well, or was it just the shear volume of water coming down.
Well done you for your blood donating. I should think you did get a cup of T, no biscuits, or have they been cut out now. I would need at least one scone, maybe two.
Blood banks are often running close to empty, people don't realise how close to the wire it can get.
Hello Charrisse, glad you enjoyed reading back on the posts, we do natter on don't we. :? :?
I love the view of the green and the trees. We have woodland all around and views over to Pendle Hill.
Good that you manage to go to the knitting circle, I can imagine it is hard work when you are in a lot of pain. A credit that so much goes to charity, well done ladies and sometimes gentlemen. I loved knitting when I was on night duty.
I remember the power cuts, it was horrible, so many hours on, so many hours off. Candles always at the ready.
We could still use the gas hob, to boil water for T, although pan water never quite tastes the same as water from the kettle.
Take care, hope you are not in too much discomfort ((()))
Hi Barbara, the love story is wonderful between Pepe and Miss Diddicat - Toni said they touched whiskers today, so, watch this space eh. As soon as Pepe has his broom license, there will be no stopping them. I think his test is in July.
He certainly likes to perform with his carpet gliding, we just say roll over and like a typical Ragdoll cat, he falls over, lol. They are wonderful, our puskins.
We used to have Matron's, or Nursing Officers, they ruled with an iron rod and their word was law. Some ward Sisters put the fear of God into us, when we were students, especially first year ones. We were seen and not heard.
I well remember Sister always checking our nails every shift, to make sure they were trimmed and spotless
We are all waiting on the results of the election now. One paper is saying one thing, one another, until the morning, we will not know.
Well, I will carry on keeping an eye on how things are going for a while. If it is anything like last night I was still wide awake at 4am and that was after tramadol, zopiclone, amitryp and co codamol.
All the animals are happy, Johnny has gone home, Dr Doolittle is on tonight, I am sure Charlie and Duffy will pop in from the ward. don't forget the ward is always open too.
hi to everyone else, take lots of care one and all.
XX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -
Morning everyone.
Waking up this morning to a hung parliament and the fires back home eventually starting to fizzle out. The damage done is huge with about 300 structures burning down, about a third of the town has been affected.
Had what I cal a zombie day yesterday. Spent most of it doing as little as possible. Went swimming in the evening and a bit worried that my lung capacity seems a lot lower. Let's see how Sunday goes.
Awww bless Pepe and Miss Didicat. The skies will never be the same again.
Joan, hope your boiler is sorted soon.
Time to go get busy. Kiddies are going to football but I've decided to send them with their football coach. I've too much to do in school and the old body will be grateful too.

Clarisse that is a lovely view from your window.have a lovely weekend.

Yes very sad I am glad we are all paying our respects to Tezz Kath even if you didn't know her she was nice. I don't know whether her family will see the thread, but I hope, if they do it will be some comfort to them.
Ah Joan I bet the papers would be interested to know the heating problem still isn't resolved!!
Yes ask them to turn the bungalow around good idea!!!
Kerrin I'm glad you had a restful day yesterday and you have been sensible about today 0 very wise.
I'm not at all sure where Diddicat is just now, but her broomstick is also missing and the weather is mild so.....?
She's been telling Lucy all about Pepe Aidan. Lucy said hey were going to make a heart shape with their tails :? ahhhh!!!
As for carpet gliding - everywhere. I hovered and went out came back more fur!!
Yes Pepe's test is in July - do you think he'll pass first go? he certainly does have incentive.
A hung parliament indeed. We shall see what transpires won't we?
Ah that was a lovely picture too
I saw Charlie and Duffy this morning the ward has been quiet of late so they had plenty of time to spend with the keepers.
Barbara Lucy had her bloods done today. All very smoothly too. On Monday or Tuesday she can start her meds for her poorly toenails.
A lot of discipline has gone from wards I agree, but I think a much happier place to be as a patient and a nurse now
It is a sweet story isn't it our pusskins rather liking each other Even Lucy is in on it now
Charisse thank you for the photo it looks lovely peaceful, but with just enough going o to watch
Knitting is very therapeutic isn't it? How good that everyone knits fro charity Do you have any male members?
Managed to find a cake leftover from yesterday in the fridge
Love

Afternoon to all, bright, sunny, getting a bit warm, but ok at the moment
Hi Kerrin, yes, we woke to a Hung Parliament, but things seem to have moved on to a coalition with the UDP, seeing as the Conservatives won the greatest number of seats and were only short by 7.
Her Majesty has approved of the PM forming a new Government. So, there will be a whole lot of shouting and wrangling for some time now.................
How terrible, the fires in SA, so many places burnt down. Glad to hear it is under some control now. Very worrying for you and for many I am sure.
Zombie days, yes, they are horrid, much sympathy (())) I hope your breathing is not affected, maybe a quick visit to the Practice Nurse for a peak flow test?
Yes, the skies will be forever patrolled by Miss Sleek and Pepe bless them
Hi Toni, I remember reading some post from Tezz and he selfless policy with regard her illness was remarkable. A great loss. Thank you for pointing the post out.
It is good that everyone is posting, in support of family and friends. I too, hope that the family get to read through.
Yes, Pepe was out, I think at dawn, seeing as we were still awake and watching the TV, no idea why, because they were all going over and over the same thing..............
They have been out, taking in the breeze and doing some emergency stops - I think Pepe is getting the hang of them, he only went into one pine tree
He had some tuna, but I think he was a bit broomsick and it didn't agree with him.
I think they should make a heart shape, with their tails. SO cute. Good thinking Lucy. Good to see you have had your bloods done so that the treatment can start.
Gliding is becoming very frequent, I think it is a wooing from Pepe, to Miss Sleek, showing her how skilled he is at carpet gliding and rolling.
Are we running out of cakes, I will sort some out in a minute or two.
Hi Joan, good, they can turn the house round and put in new heating, sorted
I am sure the paper would be keen to find out that your problems are still going on...............might be worth a call or a letter.
I hope you have a good weekend too, love to Sue and doggies too.
I see Barbara popped in quickly, I bet her post goes on when mine does, lol.
Carol will be out with her friends for coffee, after lunch with Mr T.
Hi to everyone else, hope the weather if favourable for all. I think we have rain tomorrow. Warming up again next week, :? :?
Hattie is on duty on the ward, yes, it is quiet, I might nip in there for a nap, borrow one of the nimbus beds and float for a while
The babies in thee zoo are busy, meerkats running amok, warthogs slathered in mud, much to the disdain of the giraffes. The Lemurs are busy eating grapes, Blush is up at the top of the trees, eating her bamboo. The little piggies, lambs, cows, sloths are all dozing after their feeds.
Right, I was off to sort some cakes. It is T time. Until later, take care XXXX AidanXX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -
Afternoon all..its lovely and sunny ..not to hot..
Toni Tezz was so very brave ..she hated saying how she was suffering ..it was lovely what you wrote ..I could just imagine her listening to the bird has she drifted away...bless her...
So Lucy had her bloods done..and now she can start the meds...then have lovely toenails she can show off... so she is in on Pepe and Miss slim... cant be far off now if they are touching whiskers..
Kath how is the weather there hope you got to have a walk out..such a difference when we have the sun...but not too warm...
Joan what were you in the papers for you have got me wondering.. hope you have not been naughty..I dont think so you are both to kind..
Aiden an hung parliament ..I am surprised ..and was up at 4 reading the news on my phone..how lovely that your acts roll over or is that just Pepe..they must be such good company...talking about matrons I remember being told off for getting out of bed with no slippers on... the same Matron sat up all night with a very poorly patient..they wouldn't have the time these days..I had the Royal on the other day its suppose to be in the 60s and the ,matron spotted one nurse with nail polish on..wasn't very pleased to say the least...so you was wide awake at 4 has well..
Kerrin so sorry to hear about all the property's effected by the fire..those poor people....glad you got the coach to take the children you certainly do your share..
Just got back form the funeral of my nieces step dad..we just went to the crematorium..then came home..the worse bit is the council want his partner out of the house bu early July..her name isn't on the rent book..she has lived there for years..
love to everyone xxxxxx
Aiden you are right we post at the same time again..I don't wait around for the cakes..honestly.... :oops:Love

Yes Lucy is in on the feline romance Barbara:)
I wonder whether they have made a heart shape with their tails ah!!!!
She's amazing now having needles after her phobia. You wouldn't believe hypnotherapy works, but it does
Oh gosh how dreadful what is happening to your nieces stepdad's partner :? It proves we have to make provision for each other don't we? Wills, weddings, civil partnerships whatever we have to do.
I once read a book about a girl with cancer a young one (before the fault in our stars) and she died listening to the birds it sounded so lovely. Tezz loved that room at the hospice because she could hear the birds.
Aidan Pepe's gliding rolling skills need to be seen to be believed. Much admired by Miss Sleek. I think he wooed her that way. His emergency stops are getting much better aren't they? I hope he passes his test. Theory test is next week.
I will ring to check her LFTs are normal if they are the Dr has already prescribed the tablets they are sat there waiting.
I have done a little too much today in the garden (and village) so need a night in the ward With Hattie. If I wake up she's always up for a natter.
Last night Paul trod on Diasycat  Not on purpose he got out of bed to open the door for her and she screamed. I checked her over and she was fine, but that was me up :? I bet she's told Pepe all about it
Thanks for the cake I needed some - I've made some tea
I've just had a lovely walk around the zoo. Lovely very peaceful bless them all. Bottle fed everyone as per the rota.
Filled up fruit supplies etc.
Right feet up and tablet time methinks0 -
Hello to all
Weather has been not bad here today a bit of a mixture sun and cloud so warm in the sun but a bit chilly in the shade. been quite a busy day but oh boy it has gone fast. Yes Aiden you know me too well Mr T and myself have been out on our usual dinner date today and then I went off to meet my friend for coffee and nattering however she was on a bit of a soap box rant about the Hung Parliament and a couple of other things, I more or less gave up listening half way through  Naughty me
Christine Teddy now has 2 legs I cannot work out how to get photos on here no matter how much I try but I will post one on facebook when she is finished. yes I love my knitting group its a pity you cannot manage the Knitting any more, but cross stitch is very relaxing too I do it occasionally. yes Snapchat photos can be very funny.
Aiden 'm not sure who will get Teddy I am not making it with anyone in mind but just a something to do other than cardigans and jumpers. don't fancy the mud bath from the warthogs so I don't go to near.
Toni Lillie is just like her mummy with the pretty dresses she like them in them. on your recommendation tonight I have had baby sloth cuddles the bushbabies were not very happy but I told them you cant have all the cuddles. It was very sad news about Tezz. Poor pusskins being trodden on.
Jan thank you I did have a good day yesterday and today .
Barbara I have often been tempted decorate my rollator but never get round to doing it, I enjoy my knitting group and as Aidan said I have been out with my friend today drinking coffee and knitting.
well its time to potter a little I think so I will love and leave you all for now .
:sun:Stay positive always👍xx0 -
Evening to everyone -
I bet you were waiting for the cakes to appear Barbara, lol. don't blame you either
So you were up at 4am too, we could have had a cup of T. I am not totally surprised about the hung parliament, we will have to see what transpires over the coming weeks, many things are up in the air. :? :?
Pepe does most of the rolling over, Mother used to, but she is a bit old for rolling about now, she still goes all floppy when you pick her up though. Ragdolls are funny, they just fall over at the drop of a hat.
I would think so, getting out of bed with no slippers on, almost as lying in bed with your legs crossed, that was a big no no. Sister would tap the end of the bed as she passed by.
Nail varnish was very much frowned upon, as where any earrings apart from plain studs.
We did have time to spend with the patients though, I do agree, the staffing levels were pretty good and you could give a lot of time to each person.
You have had a sad day, with the funeral of your Nieces' Step Father. ((())) What will his partner do, with limited time to leave the property. Surely the cannot make someone homeless.
Well, Lucy, just for you, they did do a little tail tying.
Way to go with the blood tests, indeed hypnotherapy works very well in some cases.
Have you seen the film, go towards the light. with Richard Thomas who played John Boy in the Waltons. I was in bits. It is well worth watching.
Pepe said he has been studying the pictures in the book on brooming, theory and practice. He still has trouble with the words, even though Miss Sleek is helping him. He is fine with numbers, especially batch numbers   isn't he Miss diddicat.
All being well the LFT's will be ok and the pills can be started.
Doing too much, no, we don't do that now, do we, MUCH. :? :? We are all as bad as each other and have some payback. Hattie will look after you very well. You could always sneak a bush baby in, as long as Matron doesn't see.
So you were up as well last night, after Paul trod on Miss Diddicat, yes, she told Pepe about it.  She was having the vapours, bless, she gets carried away. Glad she is ok though and she doesn't hold a grudge, but next time she will bite his toes.
It is lovely in the zoo, very lush, very peaceful, unless the meerkats are off on one, or the warthogs are throwing mud. The little owls are very happy and so so cute. They have lots of room to fly and have plenty of voles to hunt.
Hi Carol, I thought you would have "done lunch" and then coffee with your friend. Sometimes we have to just close our ears if someone is going on a tad. Just keep nodding and saying, mmm, yes, oh, really, yes.............
Glad Teddy has two legs, will look out for a picture on FB.
The Warthogs do make a mess, but they are a happy bunch really, even with their big tusks.
We have had an at home day, pottering, trying to make sense of the online news, which seems to go from good to bad to ugly and back again. I had my hair cut, happy boy again
Had an earlier nap, could not stay awake much after 5pm, so off to beds it was. Even the cats were ready, after their late election night.
I had better move, potter in the kitchen a little. His lordship will be moving from my gel cushion soon I am sure.
Everyone take lots of care, love to all. XX Aidan
oh look a little Diddicat with the big heartXX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -
Carol I think it is a really good idea to go on a dinner date with your husband. We shall do that when Paul retires....whenever that is  I would have ignored my friend too if she was ranting
Such sad news about Tezz I agree. Poor family The sloths are rather clingy too aren't they like the bush babies!! they need to learn to take turns. Have you any spare fruit I took all my spare to the zoo yesterday and it's all GONE!!!
Little girls love spinning around in dresses don't they? and being like their Mummies too
Ah Aidan!! Yo found them in silhouette!! Diddi and Pepe with their tails as hearts I have taken a screen shot for Lucy as well as one of the Diddicat with a big heart ahhhh!!!
Good news is it's rained overnight so no warthogs-bog to fill nature took care of it.
I meant to say we are singing in the patronal ceremony in July at St James' and will be singing 'Go Peaceful in Gentleness' still so relevant today in fact maybe more so with terrorist attacks. Do you remember it?
Choir at school was ok although the wee chairs played havoc with my back the floor outside was springy tarmac.... bliss!!!
I had a feeling Diddicat would tell Pepe all about being trodden on :? She can exaggerate a bit  I think the shriek is to tell him he to be careful!!
She reckons he should pass his theory as affair bit is based on numbers (heights, air currents etc) and his hazard perception is good now. they have gone through anything with words a hundred times so she is confident. Mind you he is her hero :?
I have seen 'Go towards the light' it was desperately sad, but I know so much more now about life and loss. Vey affirming actually. Thanks for reminding me.
I did sneak a bush baby in last night and this morning I feel a good bit better. She's good with pain relief our Hattie.
Hypnotherapy works if you want it to because it is after all the mind playing up. Fingers crossed the LFTs are A-ok
Hair looks good I must say - I expect more vacuuming was necessary afterwards though.
Are you having brekkie with Mum and Dad today?
Well I had better get in that shower - it's calling me
Hi to Joan who I know will be here any second
Love to everyone

Morning all very wet here..
Aiden I though t if a hand around then you would be back with the tea and cakes..very nice to...yes I remember no crossing your legs when I had our sons.. such a shame the nurse of today don't have the time..saying that were I had my hips replaced they have lots of staff..but pay for it with the private sector of the hospital..I have never seen a ragdoll cat ..they sound so lovely and cuddly... at last Pepe and Daisy cat links tails ..how exciting..I do like having my hair cut..but have a phobia of hairdresser..not the mobiles one but the shops ..a long story form being around 6... I do love the pics..how cute is the cat..
Toni a rest day for you I hope, you are doing plenty to help the village..I am amazed at Lucy and the needles..it just goes to show how these things can work poor DC bet Paul felt awful..but they do like to be under the feet...so Daisycat has dobbed Paul in.. bless we all need someone to task to..just wait Till Pepe gets it flying license
Carol glad you could cut off form your friend..I bet you had an headache when she has finished....never mind a date with Mr T is nice...I cant remember when we ;last did that ..we are glued by he hip at the min..
Joan..good for you its really is a saga..I wish you could hear my OH ranting about your boiler he thinks he knows what is wrong .. have a good weekend both of you..
The funeral was sad but so lovely yesterday...he didn't have insurance so the siblings had to come together to pay for it..they all work but don't get paid much ..but they managed it..I am very proud of my niece has I keep saying.. cant wait for my mattress to come tomorrow ..hope its has comfy...will have to pretend I am on hols...

Not actually raining here, but very damp. I was crying with pain first thing. it's not quite as bad now. My leg, knee ankle and foot has calmed down, but my lower back hurts. We still went to town though.
Joan, I live in Sawley, Long Eaton, which is on the border of Nottingham and Derbyshire. There are some beautiful walks, but sadly we can't manage many of them.
Awww Pepe and Daisycat linking tails, how cute.
Barbara, even though it was dull, I wore my son cap. It kept my head warm beacause last week I had a number 2, so scalped to within an inch of my life. I think I scared the sun away."Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea." Robert A Heinlein

Afternoon to all, wet wet wet here, Lake District rain as we often call it.
Yes Toni, I just had to have some pictures of puskins linking tails, Lucy would never forgive me. Pepe seems to like them. Miss Sleek does too, apparently they skyped while we nipped out to get some bits.
The warthogs are extra happy when it is raining, they can wallow with extra vigour.
The song you mention is not one I have heard, but I will look it up on youtube and have a listen, I am sure it is lovely and yes, so much needed in our modern world. I am sure your voices will sing loudly and send the message widely
You had to sit on little school chairs  oh my, I would still be there, being winched up. Bouncy tarmac, I like the sound of that though.
Miss Sleek had recovered from her squashing event. Pepe said she was "over it" and will keep her 6 th sense on high alert. Ours are the same, they love to stand just behind you, then if you touch them, oh, the noise
His nibs is good with numbers, as we well know, trigonometry and air pressures and long broom division it's all beyond me. I am sure he will pass this theory. No doubt Miss D will coach him some more, before his test. Her Hero, oh bless
I thought you might have seen that film, it was so emotive. As we get older, life and loss seem to be ever present.
Glad you feel somewhat better today, after Hatties attention and the Bush Baby giving cuddles.
Hair is just fine, number 2, the same as Kath. Yes, Mum n Dad came in, they had their hair cut today, then croissants, well, bits of them, they were not cooked through, so a bit like lead. :? We should have taken them back really.
B and SIL were coming tomorrow, but BIL has a bad throat and doesn't want any of us to get it. So we have umpteen chocolate muffins if anyone fancies some. I will leave some out.
Hi Joan, so Tuesday is when the big chief comes and the plumber too. Let's hope they can manage to sort something out. It is beyond a joke for you now.
Hope you have better weather than us, so you can go out and about.
Hi Barbara glad you enjoyed the cakes, there will be more very shortly.
No, no leg crossing. If you pay for your treatment then you do get a higher compliment of staff, but even then, it is a business, so they have to keep a lid on wages bills. I have always seen my Cardiologist privately as an out patient. Have done so for 20 years. He just rents his consulting room from the private hospital.
If you Google ragdoll cats, you will see some true beauties, they are wonderful. Some are very large.
Pepe and Miss Slimkins are very happy with each others company and there seems to be more and more wooing going on, lots of chirrups and purring.
Oh dear, not liking the hairdressers salon. Glad the mobile ones are ok, or you would have hair like Rapunzel
I am glad the funeral went as well as possible, that is was fitting and a celebration of someone's life. Good that the family have rallied round to pay for it. I know you are very proud of your Niece, she always gives you a "tonic" and you can put the world to rights.
Is the mattress coming on a Sunday? Mind you, they deliver 7 days a week now, most companies.
Hi Kath, nice to see you on FB
sorry that you were in a lot of pain, have you had your oromorph and the patches are at full strength.
Sending hugs, lavender pats, sympathies and two bush babies to cuddle up with.
A number 2 cut, just like me, that's how we like our hair, nice and short, easy to manage and keep us cooler too.
Glad you managed to get out into town. We all carry on, weathering the pains that arthur throws at us.
Right, it is pills time, that day went very quickly. Tennis is on, the ladies final, from Paris. Mens tomorrow, Raffa and Wawrinka, or Stan the Man as he is called.
love to all, here and there. Everyone take care, time for muffins I think. XX Aidan
XX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -
Oh gosh look at those muffins!!
Perfect with a cup of tea
Plenty in the pot if anyone fancies.....
Kath I think you were quite right to wear your hat if you've had your hair scalped!!
and very good to go out despite being in pain. I do the same almost every day. You have to else you'd not start again I think.
When are we needed to be under the cloak? It's next week isn't it?
Ok Joan we will be with you under the cloak when they come to 'fix' your heating grrr!!!!
You made me laugh - the sun isn't yellow enough you tell 'em!!
Aidan they are adorable aren't they chirruping and purring as well as tail linking I am certain Miss Slimkins will continue to teach him his airsigns - stopping distances are ok being numerical. She very much admires his mathematical prowess she's rubbish at long-broom division apparently
It is a lovely song. Still very relevant. You'll like it I think. Except if you hear one of the sopranos  The others have to drown her out
The film was lovely and I agree, as you get older the knowledge that death happens becomes more real. A proper tear-jerker.
Sometimes I think cats get underfoot just so they can shriek and make us feel guilty!!
I'm glad you had Mum and Dad over and their hair was done too shame about the croissants :?
I am more than happy to help out with the chocolate muffins.
A night on the ward has certainly put me right for now at least, but tomorrow I want to do more gardening
Barbara I don't like all hairdressers either. I dislike the ones which are all hoity toity and full of youngsters looking good making me feel inadequate!!
Our hairdresser is lovely so sweet and she is either mobile 3 days or at a tiny salon 2 so I do either.
I suppose Diddicat would tell Pepe on Paul and yes they do get underfoot a lot bless them  He felt bad enough I think even though she wasn't hurt at all really
You ought to be proud of your niece I think she sounds lovely and it's testament to her upbringing isn't it? and other adult influences such as yourself.
I hope your mattress is a s comfy because if it is I want one!!
Love

Hello Barbara Kathleen Adrian Toni and anyone else I missed.
Barbara we have covers on the rads because of it being a disabled bungalow so there is only a little heat coming out.
Kathleen have you tried a wheat bag it can help. I hope so.
Aidan yes I hope so. I hope you are having a good day.
Toni I hope everything is going well for Lucy I'm pleased the injection was good.

Evening all
Just had a little visit to the zoo and can report all are happy little beings doing their own thing of course the sloths and the bushbabies wanted their cuddles and blush wanted some fruit and bamboo so then the warthogs wanted more water of course. but all been dealt with no and all are happy.
Barbara Yes I often switch off when she gets like that. as she has got older she has got worse, thank goodness she is not always the same.
Aidan when it comes to my friend I have learnt lately to have selective hearing and of course if your knitting you are not looking at her all the time I don't think she ever realizes that I'm not really listening, just passing the odd comment and the odd nod here and there.
The muffins were delicious very much enjoyed with a nice cuppa after zoo visit.
Yes teddy has two legs but that's all at the moment ha ha
Kath I get like that when its damp or really cold my joints really play up. its horrible isn't it.
Joan no we have been lucky very hot here today
Toni mr T have done the lunch date out ever since he retired coming up for six years ago. it works very well he pays one week I pay the next .
I just did the selective hearing bit with the friend.
yes they all wanted cuddles tonight so they had to take their turns took some fruit in too. yes they do love their dresses.
well must leave you all now a couple of little jobs to do
have a good rest of the weekendStay positive always👍xx0 -
Evening to all, well, it is morning now. I ran out of Saturday and now it is Sunday.
I am a wee bit lacking my mojo this evening, eyes very dry and scratchy, so lots of gel tears in use.
I will write more later today. Just didn't want to miss out on my good nights and well wishes.
Glad the muffins were good, they looked delicious, the T was very good too.
All pus cats present and correct. All animals in the zoo are ok and Johnny is on duty.
N Night to one and all XX Aidan

That felt like an Irish blessing Aidan very nice thank you. I hope you have recovered overnight and feel much better today :?
I just saw Johnny going off duty as I was popping in to check on them all. He's done us some filming of the nocturnal animals...owls etc so we can watch them in the café with our cuppas. All is well Carol has restocked fruit supplies and I will pick more up later. Warthogs and splashing and grunting happily.
Shall I do more village gardening today I wonder? We'll see I think I slept better last night so pain levels aren't so bad. I might.
I didn't waste yesterday though I practised the new choir songs.
I showed Lucy the photos of Miss Sleek and Pepe's tails She loved it! Also she loved the pusskin with a heart on her side.
Our village 'cat lady' (immaculate house just looks after cats feral or otherwise!) is out an about now I saw her yesterday. She's had chicken pox so was in isolation. Don't know if I mentioned- she missed the wedding and the Queen's garden party too!! She was going into the church while I was calling Daisy in form the rain.
When Paul retires Carol I will steal your idea and have a regular lunch date with him. I am busy in the day, but he might not be so, so it is a good chance to catch up with each other and have a treat too.
I read you are often knitting so you can pretend you are hearing your friend. My first husband used to rant and I didn't like it.
I hope today is restful for you too.
Hi Joan I posted yesterday to you, but did it again and lost it
So are the covers to protect someone from getting burnt?
I think that's what I asked.
Love to everyone posting or not able to ATM

Thank you for all your sympathetic comments. I'm not quite so bad today. You're right Carol, it's awful. I think because it's so bad where I have sciatica, and my Osteoarthritis hip, it makes it worse. I also get stabbing pains in my foot on that side, just above my toes. I'm wondering if that might be the Vasculitis? :?
I've just taken Johnny a cuppa and some choccy biscuits. I hope the Meerkats don't pinch them from him.
Joan, I do have a wheatbag, but it's in the bottom of the wardrobe.
Toni, one of our cats (Topsy Turvy Twinkletoes) used to fall asleep on the 5th stair down. Thakfully none of us ever fell over her, or trod on her. Although one day I was sprinkling her with flea powder, when she dug her claws into my knuckles and clung there for ages. We both yelled, my hand poured with blood, and I thought her claw would fall off! Suddenly she let go, and flew outside for a sulk. I wrapped my hand in a large handkerchief. I never did that again - not witout wrapping her in a towel first.

Afternoon to all, dry at the moment, nice breeze too. Rain forecast for later and then getting pretty warm this coming week :?
Yes, it did Toni, not until I posted the picture and I saw the shamrocks, but it was a nice quotation.
I think I am more on this earth, than fullers, today. Eyes still playing up, but keeping them well moisturised with the gel. The Optician said he thought I had Shogren's given all my symptoms  I said no, I don't want any more additions thank you.  so I have never persued the diagnosis.
Still pretty tired in general, but Fybro does that, along with the bucket load of pills. Onwards and upwards.
That was kind of Johnny to film the nocturnal habits of the babies. The Sloths, Bush Babies and Blush seem to be quite busy overnight. I see their fruit supplies have been re-stocked.
The warthogs are all soaking up some rays at the moment, so I will make sure their water and mud is to their liking.
Did you do some more around the Village today, or did you rest up - it is the day of rest after all.
Soprano singing very loudly, I can agree with that lol. A lovely song though. Good to hear that you have been practicing.
I guessed Lucy would like the picture of the love heart tails and a little Miss Sleek with a big heart.
They have obviously been out early doors, seeing as they are both up the tree Glad they were back in before we got up, it is getting a bit too breezy now.
Tuna was left out, only Mother had a little nibble, Pepe and Cookie are far too :animal_busy: :animal_busy: on the sofa.
Oh the poor cat lady, having Chickepox, it is very unpleasant if you get it as an adult. Hope she is feeling better now. Good that you bumped into her for a natter as she was on her way into Church. A pity she missed the wedding and the Queen's Garden Party though.
I remember you said her home is immaculate from top to toe.
There can never be too many lunches out, or coffee's or people watching, we just need to sort out Paul's retirement asap
Hi Barbara, yes, we watched the ladies final and now the men's final is on between Raffa and Stan the man. It will be a close call, Raffa is on course to win it for the 10th time, but Stan can put up a mighty good battle and play lights out tennis.
No, no rubbing of eyes, that it taboo, the skin under your eyes is so so thin, compared to the rest of your face. It causes bags under your eyes, wrinkles and just adds to the irritation. We don't want wrinkles
I keep my gels in the fridge, so they are extra cooling to the eyes. Liz earle does a good lotion, called Eyebright, it is very soothing and cooling, as a compress over the eyes. I splash it all over.
The warthogs must have been in good humour for you to wander through their mud bath, lol. I think they had had plenty to eat and were lazing about. (not that they would eat you)
You will have your new mattress now, do let us know how it is and how comfy you are. We will all be wanting one.
Hi Kath, you are going through it at the moment. Sending lots more hugs and lavender pats. Vasculitis can cause problems in the feet, although a lot of Drs don't particularly recognise this as a symptom for some reason.
Good gel insoles, soaking your feet in cool water, elevating them, reflexology, gentle massage, all seem to help...........
I think Johnny had one biscuit and the rest were shared, Blush had one, the meerkats had some, the giraffes were rather partial, as were the little pot bellied piggies..........the lemurs are too busy with their bunches of grapes and the owls are all asleep.
I love the name of your pus cat Kath. They do like to lay on stairs, play on stairs.
When their claws go in and they mean it, they really mean it. it is very ouchy, as I well know from Pepe when he goes to the vets.
Towels and blankets and thick coats and gloves, come in very handy. Pepe needs his claws trimming, but it is a marathon just getting togged up and ready.
Now, rest up, in between your little walks about. Try any, or all of the above, see if it helps ((())) Reflexology I can certainly recommend.
I hope everyone else is ok, Kerrin, Carol, Joan, Elizabeth, Charrisse, Mig DD and all.
I think it is high time for high T. Let me go see what I can rustle up. Yes, I think this will do us all nicely.XX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0
