Evening, well almost morning, to one and all. I have certainly run out of hours in the day today.................

Even supper was very late as we had to sort out neighbours problems, some medical, some technical............open all hours once more :?

Pepe has passed his Theory test, so he is very happy, so happy he has been eating the food that his nibs and Miss Sleek say is tampered with by the vets. I know I could have been knocked down by a feather.
All the revision paid off. :cake: cakes all round. I am sure Miss Sleek will be over in the night, to offer her congratulations.

I bet you are glad the week end has arrived Kerrin, having had a slightly trying day.

I am glad the Beconase is helping and the eye drops too. It is a really bad time of year for high pollen counts. Breezy and hot, perfect for pollen to fly through the air.

Enjoy the week end. I would keep an eye out for broomsticks, Pepe and Miss Diddicat will be down there in a flash to take on trainees :)
I am sure you are used to much higher temperatures. I never used to really mind, but since arthur and heart problems, I just cannot stand it at all.

Last night was a lot better Toni, far easier to sleep. I think there is going to be a little heat wave the next few days, well over 30 degrees in the south. We are due to go up into the low 20's, but that it cause enough for the chilling machine to be out and at the ready.

Mmm, not sure which one I would put in coffee, I think I would have to have it black. Of course oreo cookies are fine, totally fine.

No, I won't know anything in the future either, in fact, what are sinuses ?:lol: :? Of course I will offer any help I can really :)

I know the kittens did not get their markings for several weeks, so they were just the babies, until we saw what colours they were. Bless, I wish we had been able to keep them all.

The seed bead pendant has been claimed by next door, she said, don't sell it, I will buy it.
B took a few bits to show Aunt and Uncle today, two wire work pendants, with labradorite stones. Auntie saw them and would not let go, she said how much, I want them both  His first sales, wow, well chuffed, way to go Bill. My Aunt was made up with them and was off to get chains for them.

Goodness knows how long we were in Nero's, over two hours. Then we went into the crystal shop, a lovely lady who runs it, lots of quirky things too cards, runes, dream catchers etc. Needless to say we have more gems to our collection. Crystals do have a certain power to them, without a doubt.

Mum should have seen the nurse on Wednesday, not Friday.  We will have to keep an eye on their appointments for them as well. She said she was ok when she called this evening.

We will see them tomorrow, Nephew wife and kiddies are coming over to meet us at the GC for Brunch. So that will be nice. All 8 of us. Will get there in good time, to grab the big table.

The wisteria is absolutely GORGEOUS, looks ready for off with many tendrils searching for an anchor point. She is beautiful and the name is just perfect.

Hi Barbara how nice that your Niece sent you a picture of her with Star, saying she was asleep now, oh bless, so sad. She is a wonderful person, I can just tell. Many ((()))

As you will have read B has sold three pieces of jewellery today, so he is very pleased and is busy wrapped in wire work as we speak. Lots of snipping and doings.

It is going to get hot over the coming days, so we need to keep cool. Better hurry and go choose an AC unit. We must not wilt.

Hi Kath, ahh, don't worry, I am sure there will be a ceremony down the line, Miss Sleek and Pepe are very close. Now he has passed his theory there will be no stopping him.
I had noted on FB that your mammogramme hurt, they are not at all dignified or gentle - there must be a better way of scanning for breast problems, that does not involve being squished.

The Tapirs will take you mind of it, they will have a swim while you are splashing your feet.

Hi Carol, glad you had a good day with Mr T and then coffee. I can imagine your hands would be hot with the wool and hot coffee and hot weather.............

Cooking is a not go and it will be sandwiches for a few days, which we like, so that's not a problem. I am dangerous enough making a buttie, let alone trying to cook a meal, (I am banned from pans and pots)

I must potter too, my back is shouting, it has been a long day.

I will love everyone and catch up tomorrow / today..... :? Take lots of care - I think we need a picnic under Toni's Wisteria :)

    Morning all

Kerrin have you checked the shed then? Maybe your two don't fly :? according to Diddicat a large proportion do though. Tommy may ride, (sleep), pillion maybe?

So the staff can't follow instructions

Glad to hear hay fever is under control ATM :)

Barbara thank you she is gorgeous isn't she? apologies I spelt her name wrong :?

I need SW speed foods! They sound great.

The wisteria is not yet in place because the Ivy is still there. Waiting for Paul's help for that  She's ok in the conservatory though as it is not all glass - I think you can see in the photos? which is like she was in the posh GC :)

No message yet are you still testing the new mattress?

Thank you Carol I did look after Wilhelmina and she only broke one tiny stem. I very much hope, with appropriate TLC I might just get one flower next year I would LOVE that :)

Have you got to knit Teddy's clothes too? I am imagining her like that.

Do set your cards up today it's a lovely day and you might sell some. How cool will you be in there? :)

Last night wasn't tooo bad, but I think it will get hotter and hotter now :?

Good morning Aidan :) That wisteria is a lovely one isn't it? We can picnic under mine. Charley's gf took a photo of me inside mine pretending to be David Bellamy!! I agree she looks reday to go with many tendrils. I am going to purchase all the wiry bits and get Paul to attack the IVY for me over the weekend.

He is finally going to put up 3 extra basket hooks!! I have three full baskets waiting to go up  Now if I had a drill......

Enjoy your brunch all of you I bet you get proper rowdy like we do when we get together

The new GC we found where Wilhelmina was born has a lady like your psychic lady I intend to pop in sans Paul of course

Well done to B for getting his beautiful jewellery sold. I'm not at all surprised it's lovely. I think your Aunt was chuffed too :D

Appointments do need to be watched now. Mum needs to see the nurse when she comes.

Everyone's car was having MOTs yesterday except me! Charley's and Pauls old Midget so I was here there and everywhere rescuing people.

Did you know the pusskins were up early to Lytham for a celebratory picnic this morning? Miss Slimkins is telling us all over and over how well Pepe did in his theory. So sweet he is her hero.

So they were just called the babies :) awww! When Diddi reads this she will go all soft again

I still need to know if I need Paul to take me home from ENT after sinuses get sorted????

    Right onwards and upwards :bee:

    Joan!! Hello-o!!

I'm feeling better now. The Tapir pool was very soothing, especially when baby Tapir gently rubbed me with his little, soft Tapir snout. Cuddles with the bush baby helped too. :D Mind you, my right hip and leg were killing me first thing, but my patches are good, and I had paracetamol, Oramorph, and some Ibuprofen Gel, so it eased off a bit. We didn't want to be out too long, as it is carnival weekend. So, Iceland. breakfast, PO, then we went to Seacroft Mobility (which is 5 mins away from the burger stall) and Chris bought me a new rollator, with a seat. brilliant.

Afternoon to one and all, it is hot and then some..................AC is on and running on max cool :) OH has had a cabinet reshuffle and changed the lounge round - new carpets soon go flat if you sit in one spot all the time.

She is indeed a beautiful wisteria Toni, glad we can all picnic underneath, when Paul has ravaged the Ivy. Poor Ivy, It has to come down though, to be replaced with beauty :)

Looking forward to seeing the pics of you in the midst of the wisteria. (our park is David Bellamy awarded, for preservation of nature etc) :)

Now, if you had a drill, you would be up a ladder and then end up all over the shop, just as I would. I will get Miss Sleek to nudge Paul.

Sounds very interesting, the lady at your GC. I see people's Auras which is lovely, they come in all sorts of colours. The lady of the road knows and said what colour is mine, I said, blue, but you have had cross words within the last day, as you have a red patch. - she had had a bit of a fall out with her Mother, she said, how do you do it. I said, if I knew I would tell you :? :?

Anyways, moving on, yes, Bill is super pleased with is sales of jewellery and I am sure word of mouth will soon get round the park, everything else does, the bush telegraph is faster than texting here.:lol::lol:  He is busy away as we speak. I have another bracelet, lapis lazuli, to go with my cappucino agate and my obsidian and black onyx. I will have them up to my elbows soon. Every time something else arrives in the post, he says, NO, not another one lol.

Auntie M was over the moon and back

Yes, we will keep a separate track of Mum n Dads appointments on my phone - bless them eh.

Hope the car's passed their MOT's ok and you were ok with all the running around.

So, that's where they went, taking in the early morning sea air - I knew he had been out, but he didn't say they had been to the seaside. He is chuffed about his Theory and they have put in for his practical test, which takes place on top of Pendle Hill, something to do with broomsticks and the like, all broom tests have to be done there, due to its history and mystery  Apparently it takes place over several days, in all sorts of weather conditions, winds, rain, mists, etc.

Ah, he is Miss Sleeks Hero, I keep telling him, but he says little, not giving much away at the moment. He is still eating the batch of food with vet liking ingredients in.

Does Paul need to take you home, after your sinus, well, it depends, on what they do. Ask me nearer the time. People used to come as out patients for them draining and washing out - oops, I said I knew nothing, some were done under local, some under general, but that was in the early 1980's hun, so things might have changed a wee bit since I was doing my stint on ENT.

Hi Joan,I hope you are enjoying this fine weather, out and about with the doggies, hope they can keep cool, I know our puskins are always a bit flaked out when it is hot. Mind you, as soon as the AC goes on, they nip off into the bedroom and Cookie goes under the covers :lol:

Mum was not too bad today, when we all met up at the GC, Nephew wife and their two kiddies. She enjoyed her home made leek and potato soup, with crusty roll, then Yorkshire Dales Ice Cream.

You have a good week end and take care both.

Hi Barbara It was warm last night, but tonight will be hotter, I can tell.
Have you had a look at AC units yet Barbara? It is going to be cracking the flags this week. We are just right at the moment. They are worth their weight.
Talking of which I have been told off. While OH was moving the lounge around, I went off and thought, oh I can get the AC unit out of the wardrobe, just lift if over the lip on the floor, then it is ok as it is on castors.
I did manage it, but I was stupid to do it, having really crunched my already crunched back. WHY didn't you wait........................oooops.

Yes, Bill is super pleased with is jewellery sales. You can never recoup the actual time it takes, per hour, or nobody would pay. His new crimping pliers arrived today, whatever they do, he did explain and I glazed over :?:lol:

Miss Sleek and Pepe were off at the Seaside early doors, back before we all got up. A romantic picnic, watching the sunrise. Bless.

Hugs are ever present, there are plenty in the cupboard next to the cake tins, all free and with good will.

It is definitely too warm to cook. It was ok at the GC, my bacon and egg muffin, with chips, then scone, jam and cream, was very nice. Everyone else enjoyed their choices too. I was a bit leaking after my second coffee though. They didn't have the AC on, just the big doors open  I was like, "shut the doors and chill us down" !!

I have never liked tower blocks, I remember when we did a stint on District, some of the blocks in Nottingham, Kath will know Victoria Center flats, oh they are so high. I am sure there were some near Hyson Green too and up towards Mapperly. I forget now.
I would never sleep, not could I live on something like the 23rd floor.  Frightening.
It is sad, that this terrible tragedy has now turned into a political civil unrest, with L politicians demanding millions take to the streets to oust the Prime Minister, it is not her fault, what is wrong with people.

I am glad that you are feeling a bit better Kath, with soothing pools of water, Tapir's and Bush babies and Sloths, they love to swim.
Good that your patches and other pain relief has helped, it is a job isn't it, keeping on top of things, sometimes nothing seems to work, then others, it helps and we can have a reasonable day.

I love your new rollator. With seat, bag, brakes. Looks nice and sturdy.

Who was it that had their clatterator?

Carol I hope you have had a nice day and people actually came to the Church. I hope you manged to keep cool, churches do tend to keep an even temperature in summer.

Kerrin, I hope you are resting and enjoying the fine weather. We are just waiting for the tennis to start, it keeps being delayed with the superbike racing   Queens starts Monday, cannot wait.

Right, it is potter time. I think every one of our lovelies in the zoo are ok, keeping shaded, or sunbathing, whichever they like. The warthogs are having a big mud bath, with the hosepipe on them, they are loving it.
The meerkats think it is a bit chilly yet.

Johnny is on duty and is tending to their needs.

I think we should have a summer picnic, take care everyone XXXX Aidan ideas-for-the-perfect-summer-picnic.jpg

I'm sure I was in here last night but looking back, I haven't been in for a couple of days. Must have slept right through. :animal_busy:  Just had a quick read as it's bedtime.

Barbara, I'm so sorry to hear about your niece's dog. That is very sad. (((hugs))) for your niece. She must be devastated.

Kath, your new rollater looks just perfect.

Kerrin, you seem as busy as ever.

Aiden, I hope Bill does well with his jewellery. Does he find it relaxing making it?

Toni, your wisteria is going to look fantastic on the wall.

I saw someone mention Elizabeth. She is still posting the odd picture or commenting on the greyhound page on FB. Hopefully she's just busy at the moment.

Joan, I'm looking forward to seeing your pictures of your dogs.

Carol, it sounds like a good idea to set up your cards at the church. Hopefully, yoou can keep cool.

Finally got my train tickets. The ticket machine has been fixed. My EHIC card arrived today. Not sure if I need it for Australia or if it's only Europe. Went in to town on the train and bought a couple of things for my Australian GC. My son phoned to say his wife had booked for a meal for Fathers Day tomorrow. She had invited my son's dad but apparently he's said he won't be going so my son has asked me seeing as the table has been booked. I told him to let me know if he does turn up.

Evening to all, nice and cool in here, in fact, positively chilled :) no, I am not complaining......

I wondered if you might pop back for a cake Barbara, there, you see, a whole picnic had appeared, enjoy :) We aim to please.

Shop around for an AC unit, the quieter the better. Obviously they all make some noise, as they are basically a fridge and a big fan, unless you really push the boat out and have one fitted to the wall with the fan unit outside. (uber expensive). :?

I know, I was very naughty, lugging the unit out of the wardrobe. I won't be doing it again.

Bill is busy away wire wrapping cappuccino agate at the moment. He is on a roll. I would have thrown it all out of the window by now :lol:

No, we have not seen the Autistic gardener, will look for it on catch up. It sounds a very interesting programme.

Hi Christine, you have slept all those hours, well, the time does fly and days vanish, someone steals them.

Bill does find his jewellery making very relaxing, there are odd times you hear a little naughty word under his breath, apart from that, he is well away.

I am glad to hear that Elizabeth is posting on FB from time to time, I think we are all a bit worried..........

Good to know that you have your train tickets, you will be on countdown now..........exciting

Gathering gifts to take with you, lovely, they will be so excited to see you and vice versa. Lots of piccies will be needed.

So you are going out for a meal tomorrow, as long as certain person does not turn up. :? Enjoy.

Well, I had best move, I am setting. Time to turn off the AC and close the window.

Everyone take care, stay safe and try and keep cool.

Perfect message for last night Aidan!

I chomped through all picnic leftovers yum ta!

We had the air-con in our room! Lucy was in the lovely and cool basement! Lucky girl :)

It does however need a longer hose

Your B clearly has patience as well as skill so doesn't need to lob the beads out of the window. Paul nearly battered the paving jet-washer thingy yesterday  Head down eyes averted!!

I would be like you though and want every one when the new gems arrive  Your arm will grow to accommodate. Auntie M is so happy that is good. Making people smile is a good feeling.

Did you say you had a cabinet reshuffle? I love it!

Miss Sleek did the job - all hanging baskets are up and looking rather pretty. He just needs to pop up my solar water panel and my two water buts are already empty :? As you say - give me a DRILL!!!!!

Hah! You were able to tell your mystic lady something she didn't know!! Well done you.

Miss Slimkins was such a good pusskin yesterday and let me put on her collar (I saw it come off on a bit of hedge). She is soooo sweet with her dust-gliding :) I believe they got a cancellation for Pepe in July (don't know the exact date) and yes Pendle Hill it is. Has to be. It's the national flying centre.

AMAZING NEWS! My CT is next Thursday at 20 to 7 pm   So info may be required soon about a lift home. washing of sinuses?? Sounds like a swoon might happen :? :?

Hi Christine I don't think the health card works in Australia, but it's still ID isn't it? Take it with you I would. Your normal travel insurance is what you really need :)

I'm glad you have seen Elizabeth posting. I wonder whether she has a date yet for her hip :?

You might be getting a meal out today - that would be nice!!

Too much is made of Father's day for me. I don't agree with these new fangled ideas.....Toni Meldrew

Hi Barbara thank you I got your Pm frees delivery too? That is good :)

Honestly A/C is nothing like having a fan on it's amazing :) I got our bedroom down from 27 to 20 in about 2 hours :?

I haven't even heard of the autistic gardener! I bet it's amazing. Does he actually plant the plants too not just design?

Hi Kath I am glad you are over the wedding non-event now thanks to the bush babies and tapirs. :) (reminds me I must turn the hose off!).

That rollator looks very swish so you can have 5 when needs be :) Lovely Chris :)

Hi Joan- Yes the wisteria is rather tall!! It will look fabulous when it flowers. The flowers will be pink.

    Love to everyone

Aidan, oh yes, I remember all those flats. Although I think the Hyson Green ones have been demolished. I had friends who used to live in the Old Basford flats (maisonettes actually). Horrid places. :o

Joan, I'm looking forward to using mine on the bus. I can park it in the side area, brakes on and sit on it instead of using the drop-down seats, which are very uncomfortable. :D

Toni, CT scan and sinus washing. Sounds very unpleasant. We'll all be under the cape I'm sure, I'll have jammy dodgers, so don't be surprised if a certain bush baby doesn't sneak into my pocket again. He's too sweet to say no to.

Afternoon all, boy is it hot out there. Inside, nice and comfortable. Feeling very thankful we have the AC unit.

Two ENT appointments this week, Barbara on Wed (the hottest day of the week according to my weather)
Then Toni on Thursday, at what time, 7 in the evening. Goodness, silly o clock is that. A quick appointment though, excellent. I doubt they will do anything on that day, so no need to worry about anything to do with widening the sinus windows and draining them..............etc. :? :?

Just grabbing a moment, before B and SIL arrive, with Mum and Dad, they are over from Huddersfield and will have taken Dad and Mum out for Father Day (yes, overrated a bit). We have muffins and carrot cake waiting for them.

Glad you enjoyed the picnic left overs, hope they hadn't dried up in the sun, nothing worse than a sandwich that has gone dry and curled up at the edges - especially egg ones

We are being kept at about 22 at the moment, it is about 27 out and even hotter in the sun. It is just on low at the moment. It tends to get hottest around T time, so it will be on max then.

I am sure you can get extender hoses for them.

B does have patience, maybe an odd grumble.....I guess Paul was less than happy with the power washer.....good idea, head down, see nothing :) Sorry dear, did you want something :lol:

Yes, B did have a cabinet reshuffle in the lounge, moving chairs and settee, to even out the wear on the new carpet. They flatten down so quickly.

Glad to hear the hanging baskets are up, now, just the watering system to sort out, I will ask Pepe to speak to Miss Sleek later. I don't want them out in the heat.
So she has a new collar, very nice, plus some dust gliding too. His Nibs has been carpet gliding, but at the moment, all three are asleep...........zzz

Yes, his test is in July, he won't say what day though, so as not to jinx anything. Pendle is indeed a very important broomstick flying area. We have paragliders and those microlight ones come over us, no way would you get me up in one of those, hanging face down in a sleeping bag, with a lawnmower engine keeping you aloft :o

I am with you on the Victor Meldrew Toni.

Most of our neighbours are all out, frying in the sun - not even for two minutes would I be out there. Don't know how anyone can sit in it for hours.

Hi Joan - hope you are enjoying the fine weather, rides out with the doggies. You will have to go at full speed, to keep them cool.

Mum and Dad are not too bad, thank you hun. They will be here soon, for T and cakes, with OH Brother and SIL. Well, they are mine too really :)
Take care both. Cooling hugs to the doggies.

Hi Barbara, I won't mention heat, or wilting............best hurry and get a cooler asap.

It is nice to see Mum eating a little more, we do lots of encouraging and praising. If you push too much, then people just rebel against it.

So we are all under the cape on Wed and then back under on Thursday, we have a busy week ahead. Best not take anything that might melt, no chocolate or the like. Big mess in ENT department.

Hi Kath, I thought you would remember those flats, I am trying to think of the others, near the railway line, there were about 4 huge blocks, they are long gone now and new houses were built. I am sure it was down past Woolaton Park and on, or was it down past Beechdale baths. I forget.
It might have been the old Basford ones. They were horrid, I well remember.

Yes, you can use your rollator on the bus, as you say the seats are so uncomfortable, and play havoc with your back.

Bush babies and jammy dodgers will be ok to take with us, under the cloak.

Right I am going to move, I can tell everyone will be here soon. Take lots of care everyone, keep as cool as possible, drink loads of water :)

    Good evening all

hope you are having a good weekend we are melting here about an hour ago according to my mobile it was 31 degrees despite it being cloudy earlier in the day it was glorious sunshine. we have our big fan on high at the moment it has been like that since about 1.30 this afternoon when we got in from church. Certainly no cooking today we had cold gammon cooked yesterday evening and salad. followed by trifle it was yummy. yesterdays weather was much the same as todays. the only thing about this heat is it makes you feel tired all the time we just keep falling asleep.

AidanThe jewellery sounds lovely and selling too that's got to be a bonus. Hope mum was ok. and brunch at the GC was enjoyed.
yes I have not touched knitting since Friday so Teddy has not grown any further

Toniyes teddy will be a little girl one with a pretty dress when finished. Glad you looked after Wilhelmina and she survived the trip home.
yes I set them up at the top of the stairs in the church entrance it was lovely sitting there it wasn't too hot so I stayed pretty cool.

Kath I like the new walker mine has a seat too, not that I use the seat much. I agree mammograms and the most comfortable things to have done .

Joan I know I have decided I don't like playing the getting old game anymore :lol:

Barbara I know how you Gd feels i'm just glad we don't live in a tower block our block is only three floors high and we are on the ground floor.
Unfortunately hardly anyone came in to the church yesterday we are only open for about 1and half - 2 hours. depending on if a visitor is still there at closing time.

Christine was not too bad in the church yesterday as I set up at the top of the stairs of the entrance way and it was reasonably cool there .

My GGD went to the dentist on Saturday and she had to have a little filling not due to lots of sweets either its because the supplement she has to take for her enzyme problem is doing damage to her teeth is it was her first one and my GD said she was very brave and not at all worried about it being done.

I'm off down to the zoo to see all are ok and behaving and maybe a cuddle or too from the bush babies. and tapirs. and make sure the warthogs have enough water and stock up the fruit.

Love to all have a good rest of weekend.
    Stay positive always👍xx

Kath glad you can get on the bus with the walker there will be no holding you back

Hi to one and all, after a very hot hot day.

Hi Carol, I think we were up to nearly 30, hovering around 28 ish. Absolutely no cooking, banned for the forthcoming few days. I used to love gammon, even better the next day. Trifle too, I am on my way...........
It does make you feel tired and it absolutely plays havoc with my joints and bones. Everything hurts.

Yes, bill is very busy with his jewellery, everyone who sees it, loves it. He is doing a lot of it "freestyle" wire wrapping etc. I haven't seen any seed beads, mind you I cannot see them when they are out :? they are miniscule, Barbara knows what they are like.

Sorry that people were thin on the ground when you were at Church. You sound to have found a cool ish spot though.

Teddy will have to wait until the temperature comes down a wee bit. I think by the end of the week it will be a lot cooler here.

Good to hear that you are not in a high rise block, three floors is ok, even better to be on the ground floor.

Poor GGD having to have a filling, she did very well, not complaining or being worried. There is always something to help, that causes another thing to go wrong with medicines etc

I hope you had fun in the zoo, I will have a wander down in a while

Oh Barbara, my goodness, what a terrible thing. Everyone was very lucky, the people out walking, the driver, you and your OH, who went to the rescue. Goodness, he must have been going WAY too fast. Did the Police come? Will you have to give a statement, I guess you will. Sorry that your other car has been written off, you never expect things like that to happen twice.
Time to write to the Council and your MP and the paper, to say how dangerous your road is and you need speed humps and speed camera's, before someone is seriously hurt.
What a day.............and in this heat too. People are known to drive a lot faster when it is hot, it send people dappy, trying to cool down I guess, but, most cars are chilled, so there is no need to race. I completely understand that you want to move as soon as............park home :)

I think this is one of the best buys for an AC unit. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Igenix-IG9901-Portable-Conditioner-9000BTU/dp/B06WGVQSSZ/ref=pd_sbs_201_2?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=RYH45SVBG46XCX5KTSRY

You would need to get the venting kit, to go with it, it is underneath, says, frequently bought together. You only need the vent hose,( unless you have sash windows ). I hope this helps, it is very similar to ours. Does what it is meant to do and you will LOVE IT. If you order one, make sure it is "fulfilled by Amazon" it is always best to do it that way.

Our cooler has been on for about 12 hours today, thank goodness. I only set foot out back, in the shade, to put the washing on the airer. It was dry in no time.

B and SIL Mum n Dad were quite late getting here, going up for 4 pm. Mum was pretty tired after being out for most of the day, so they didn't over stay, a cuppa and cakes, natter and they were off, as Mum wanted a nap (don't blame her).

We are meeting them at the GC today, Mum has her appointment with the Practice Nurse, best not miss this one.........
I will be leaking coffee, until we get home and cool down.

I guess I had better move and do a little pottering. All the lovelies are happy in the zoo, most are resting, with plenty of fresh water and food all well stocked, the warthogs are very happy, just lying in their muddy pools which Carol kindly filled up again.
The meerkats are chilly so they are stopping in their burrows  how hot does it have to be for them to feel warm ?

The cows, sheep, mini piggies, Okapi, Tapir's, Lemur's, Sloths, Panda's bush babies, Giraffes, little owls............who did I miss.

Dr Doolittle is on tonight, so he will enjoy chatting to the bush babies and the owls.

Hattie is on in the ward, in case anyone is overwhelmed by the heat. It is AC in there, so nice and pleasant.

Right, I had better go and potter a little. Move the joints which are not happy grrrrrrrrrrr.
    Take care, keep as cool
    Love to all.............XX Aidan

    Morning!!

Aidan I need that ice cream right enough!!!!

Another scorcher here but definitely looks like the possibility of a storm later...maybe cool things down a bit.

We had a disaster  a POWER cut so no air con :(:(:(

Yes Mum must not miss her appointment today and I hope you have a good time at the GC.

The wall is beginning to appear from underneath the ivy.

The neighbour is fine with us removing the conifers once and for all we are going to go halves (her idea) on heightening the wall on that side to keep their privacy and ours. It's the original farm wall and such a shame to be so hidden.

She has the pig sty her side as a shed our bit is our coal store.

I expect the jewellery is a good thing to sit and do while it's hot.

Yes I think I am pretty safe on Thursday. Paul will take me so he can drop me off at choir afterwards and come back with my neighbours after choir practise. Sinuses have windows???

It looks lovely here with all the baskets I have had Paul watering so expect he will soon enough get the solar water system up

Pepe's test is in July, but I don't know exactly when either though Diddicat is very likely to let it slip so when she does I'll let you know ;) She reckons it's fabulous flying in this weather :?

OMG!!a sleepingbag in the AIR looking DOWN??!! lawnmower engine??  never!! Nope never!!

Kath please do bring the bush baby!! and to Barbara's ENT on Wednesday I think mine will be boring just a CT this time, but you can come to choir practise afterwards if you like? Can bush babies sing??

Barbara is ahead of me and I do not know what might happen to her :?

Of course the rollator will be perfect on the bus :) and you are guaranteed a seat :D

    Barbara!

that looks terrible! I am so glad no one was seriously hurt, but how lucky was he? Totally a petition is needed to get that sorted.

and a petition to get you moved. I'll start that one I know this lot will sign it

Our aircon is a Bliss model number: WAP 357EC-26R. We got it from B&Q when Lucy was on chemo and having frequent seizures.

Paul threw the poor power washer

Carol I have to agree the heat is draining :( no cooking for me either and I heard everywhere had sold out of finger rolls due to half the world having barbecues!

I thought the bear would be a girl. I wonder who will have her when she's done? Or will you sell her for charity. I know you do a lot with your cards.

I'm so glad you were cool in Church. I am on the rota for watering the bedding plants over there today. Maybe it will rain ;)

I know you turned the hose on, but I have had to refill the warthogs pool again! It's so hot!

Lucy's teeth are not as white as they ought to be due to her having epilim for absences from babyhood so I do understand well done little GGD :)

Joan I bet your washing dried really fast yesterday!!
    a020.gif

Boy was it hot! We had a great weekend. Lucy treated Paul then I dropped her at her Grandad's with a little something for him. Do the dogs doze more in the heat?

    Love to everyone

Morning all..feeling a little fresher it say.. not sure were
Aiden thankyou for the info on the AC..yes the police came and the fast responded and the big ambulance..the car was smoking ..OH ran over prized the door open somehow then another neighbour helped to get the man out..he says a wasp got in the car...I was only doing 30...if that was the case he would have hit ours and stopped..not overturn..we brought him him and gave him a drink..then his girlfriend arrived ..they put him on a spinal board just to be safe..we have constantly been on to the council and police ..what do we get a board telling people what speed they are doing..right you enjoy the GC..my hoover was full of seed beads..
Toni thankyou for the info on the AC it all helps..just you see the weather will go much cooler when I eventually get on..but it will always come in..just a shame we cant have it downstairs then take it up..OH will if its not to heavy..my appointment is to see if I want the treatment ..not yet I will say.. how lovely to have the old farm wall..and the pigsty..well half of one..naughty Paul..throwing the power wash..

Carol I missed you again I think the cloak must hide you..sorry not many turned up to the church so sad when you are going to the trouble..so many church are now quiet ..your GGD was very brave bless her..not nice having a filling ..and being so young all the equipment will seem so much bigger and scarier..
Right we have to ring the assurance today ..the car isn't worth much but to OH is it after over ten years it has never let us down ..so he decided to use it for work..I think the price of repairing it will be more than it worth ...
    love to everyone..xxxxxxx

A VERY HOT afternoon to everyone. Hope all are as ok as possible and keeping hydrated......31 degrees, that is way too hot

Hi Toni, it has gone a little bit hazy here, but no looming clouds, more's the pity.
A power cut, oh my goodness. Ours is only just about coping, it is so hot today.

It was 31 when we came back from town, nice in the car, then you get out and nearly pass out.

Mum n Dad met us at the GC, she saw the nurse about her Warfarin Levels, which are too high at the moment. Also told her about other problems, so she is seeing the GP tomorrow. She was weary to be honest, didn't want a scone or even a part of one. Dad was just nagging and nit picking, so OH told him in no uncertain terms :? :? We will see what the Dr says tomorrow.

They had all the doors wide open and the GC and no AC on, so I kicked up a fuss and on it went. 8) :D

It was wonderfully cool in Sainsbury's, could have stayed in there until the end of the week, plenty of nibbles, lol.

Glad the Ivi is reducing and that the neighbours are ok with the conifers and also sharing the additions to the wall, how cool are they :) 8)

So, the power washer was thrown, oh dear :lol:  I bet the solar watering will be up in a flash, if P is on watering duties....... :D

I think you will be safe on Thursday, at that time of day, I doubt they would be going in to widen any sinus windows - do NOT look up the implements, or Ostioplasty........ promise...................
:? :? I will know, Miss Sleek will tell me, after she has fainted lol.

I will wait for Miss Diddicat to let me know when Pepe's test is, he is keeping very tight lipped about it.

It is nice flying apparently, so Pepe and Miss Sleek say, catching the thermals................
I know, microlite's are not for me either, oh the thoughts,

I am melting, like the witch in the wizzard of oz.............

Hi Joan, I am sure Mum is just having a bad patch at the moment, thank you for asking, it is very difficult, keeping things in balance. She will feel better for seeing the GP tomorrow. She trusts him completely, he does not beat about the bush, but is fabulous at the same time, he is my GP too. I am one of his Chronics

Hope you are all ok, doggies getting a bit warm I guess, with all the fur, like the puskins. Pepe is sat on top of the air conditioner at the moment, on a cushion !

Hi Barbara, fresher, is it, where, let's go, the outer hebrides, ok, that's fine, what time shall we leave..................

I am glad the emergency services all came, so glad that your OH and another man helped to get the man out of the car, with it smoking............goodness me, so dangerous. Everyone thinks they are completely safe in their own little worlds in the car. But no, they are lethal weapons, when driven too fast or without due care.
I guess he was doing well over 30, to flip the car over like that, as you say, he would have bumped and stopped otherwise.

You were very kind to look after him until he was taken for a check up and his GF had arrived too.

Let's hope the Council can actually do something, to reduce the speed of the traffic.

I hope you can get your AC as soon as possible, it is going to cool down towards the week end, but, I am sure it will get hotter again..........they are ok to wheel about, but they are not ideal for carrying up and down stairs, they all weigh quite a bit.

Hope you get on ok with the Insurance.

Right, I am going to move, I need to potter a bit.

Not sure how successful the naps will be, might be a TAD warm. We will see.

Hi to everyone else, take care and keep as cool as you can.

No which ice cream shall I have????

    Mmmmm........?

    All 3? Thanks Aidan :)
Diddicat will blab Pepe's test date because she can't help herself she will get all jittery. The thermals are indeed glorious in this heat and it's much more comfortable than being down here

I promise not to look up any osteoplasty  the mere word is enough and Miss Sleek might faint as you said.

I hope the Dr can talk some sense into Mum, maybe it's just the heat it's so very very hot  I am without appetite too. :(

I hope we don't get another power cut our storm if it comes is due about 9pm.

I found a cool pad in B&M for The Rev Delphine's doggie he is so old bless him. She wanted to give me the money, but a hug was more than enough. I hope he sits on it.

Barbara you could get a big aircon for downstairs and maybe a smaller one just for your bedroom?

It will come in whenever you buy it.

I know proper farm wall :) and as Aidan commented fabulous neighbours too!!

I hope insurance do give your OH enough to replace his car. My bro lost his reliable car years ago when he was hit on the M1 by an uninsured lorry driver (non uk)

Joan how right are you - pegging the washing out is indeed the biggest job of all!! Keep cool if you can.
