Joan, What a gorgeous little dog Lexi is. I'm not sure wheter it's you or Sue either but it is a lovely photo of whoever it is.
Toni, yes Chris is a good lad, but he has a lot of pain too, and I can't look after him, so he gets a bit grumpy - hardly surprising really.
I've just seen some Alpacas on the East Midlands news, and I was wondering..... or do we already have some? Aidan mentioned Cilla and Lilly but I've forgotten who they are!!!"Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea." Robert A Heinlein

Afternoon to all, better get a little word in before pills and naps...........
Hi Kerrin, I hope you feel a little better as soon as. You were certainly busy, with concerts and, performing, then swimming gala, goodness, you are on your toes and then some. Sending lots of ((())) your way and some cuddles from the Bush Babies.
It is always a bit of a stark reminder of what we used to do and what we can do now
Toni, I see you have been a busy bee too, washing pots, washing linens. Paul has been busy too with tables and chairs, now the big top is coming down. What a job that must be.
The Drifters sang under the Boadwalk, then Bruce Willis sang it. I remember going to see the Drifters in Nottingham, they were AMAZING.
Now I cannot get the song out of my head, lalalalalala
So that's why he ended up on the spire, not watching where he was going, typical of Pepe. I think the practice went well today, he seems in a good humour. Miss Sleek must have put him to rights about the CAT scan, bless her.
Yes, imagine, 5 years of magic, what on earth will they get up to I wonder, we will have to wait and see, come next week............
I am sure they will both go on to do their advanced broomstick flying, I think that involves quidditch with Mr Potter. :?
Good to hear he can identify all the spires and the castle, wonder which one Mr P will choose.
Don't worry, the lovelies in the zoo are all fine, with Barbara, Kath, Carol and the rest of us, plus the lovely keepers, they are very well pampered. Apparently, Matilda, the warthog, is having babies, so Dr Doolittle said.
Hi Joan, Barbara has put the picture on and it is a lovely one of you/sue and lexi, bless, lots of fuss and cuddles.
Hope you are having a good day and getting out and about. Any sign of the heating people? or dare I not ask
Hi Barbara It is quite warm here, about 18 degrees, just pleasant, with a little breeze.
Yes, my Mum and Dad for that matter were both very strong and resilient. You do miss them, every day, without fail.
I do like to keep an eye on Mum IL, making sure she is ok and not in pain, etc. Her warfarin levels are coming back down to more normal levels, so that's good.
We should write a book, Pepe and Sleeks adventures..............
It was nice at the GC, always quieter and calm early in the week. We had had one coffee by the time Mum n Dad arrived. Had another and didn't start to leak, which was unusual. The scones were fresh as could be and delicious as always.
The joints are not liking bed at the moment, getting comfy is beyond a joke. But, not to worry, there is always Tramadol.
Thanks for putting the picture on of Joan/Sue and Lexi, lovely photo is it too.
Hi Kath, well, I think it is high time we had some Alpacas, they are adorable and we can use the wool, Carol will be knitting like fury
Aren't Cilla and Lilly the Sloths, or is it the Bush babies............ :? oh dear, brain fade.
I think they will be happy with the cows and calf and the lambs, they all seem to get on together. What shall we call them? Phyllis and Dyllis?
Hope you are ok and doing better with your walker
Right, I must move, I am ready for a potter around, before T and naps.
I will just pop some cakes in
Everyone take care, love to all XX AidanXX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -
Evening all
It has been a very busy couple of days. On Saturday we had open morning again at the Church had about 4/5 people in our youngest also popped in as she was taking Mr T out for Lunch as a belated fathers day treat so I decided to have a lunch out by myself also' and we arrived home at the same time. and we got up this morning to nice sunny but just right temperature so we decided to get a train and take a day out to Brighton. Was quite a nice day bit shattered now but feel good.
Aidan Yes the ice has melted now. and its good that youngest daughter doesn't live at home and although she dosen't live far away we don't see her very often so its not too bad. and yes it's the rolling of the eyes that winds me up too. i'm not really worried about the card company but hope they can keep it going. because it's something I can do to benefit others that also have nasty things wrong with them. And yes please to the alpacas I don't mind the knitting with the wool as long as we can get it spun into some nice wool.
Toni well didn't laugh out loud but was having a little internal snigger to myself. Glad weather was good for the beer fest. Still hoping the cards will be saved.
Joan Yes not a bad weekend hope you did too .
Barbara we have sulks but again they usually don't last too long thank goodness.
Oh well its nearly bedtime so I must be off and have I mini potter around before I go
Take care everyoneStay positive always👍xx0 -
Well, it is after midnight again, catching up with all the tennis, we need an extra few hours in the day.............
Hi Carol I am very pleased that the chill has thawed and calm waters prevail.
That was a pleasant change for a few people to pop into Church, it makes all the difference I am certain. Then Mr T going out for lunch with your youngest. I hope you had a pleasant lunch too.
Then off to Brighton for the day, how lovely, I imagine you were tired by the time you got home. all that sea air is supposed to make you sleep well.
Keeping everything crossed that the card company can keep going, as you say, it is nice to feel to be helping where you can, there are so many worthy causes.
I am sure we can sort out the wool
This lovely lady was giving me instructions in spinning Alpaca wool, but she lost me completely, :? I am sure you will be fine with it Carol. All I wanted was the hat
Miss Sleek was over earlier, at nap time. I woke up to foot steps on the roof, we do get a lot of birds, but this was no birdie. I think Miss Slimkins was sorting out her take off and giving the broom a running start. Pepe was extra sleepy and didn't get up for supper until 11pm, lazy bones, I bet they had been flying round the castle in town.
All the lovelies are fine, Phyllis and Dyliss are settling in nicely, if we have Alpacas, then we might have to think about Lama's as well............. :? This is going to be one HUGE zoo, I can just tell.
We have a weather warning for heavy rain  we are not going out, so I don't mind it raining, we need it, the rivers are drying up again.
Everyone take lots of care, love to all XXX Aidan

Morning all its pouring down here..
Joan it was my pleasure to post the pic for you, no wonder you couldn't get photobucket to work..it wads acting up anyhow we got there.. I want to know is that you or Sue .I tend to think Sue because of the wheelchair...
Aiden brilliant pics of the lady spinning ..were was it taken..there wool is so dense...so the GC was quiet ..so was ours, mind you they had a food fair at the weekend ..at one time we would have gone to it..hope you slept better last night..must say I never got on with tramadol.. does anyone else get brain fog when typing..I am sat here staring at the screen.. no wonder the animals don't come when I say there names..
kath the alpacas are lovely..we must have a couple but better not name them them or else..maybe just alpaca...we must have the most amazing zoo by now..
Carol nice that your youngest turned up at the church..and I bet Mr T was thrilled to have lunch...we went to Brighton once on a very hot day ..and couldn't park ..we were staying on a caravan site in Hasting ..so I have never seen it properly would love to go back and see the little alleyways they show on the TV.. glad you had a good day there..you do have so many nice resorts along the coast..
the man form the council has dropped off the leaflets to put on cars parking on the pavement..on the top it say GR Manchester police ...parking on the pavement causes pedestrian to walk in the rd..damages the pavement... and at the bottom of the list could be fined..
Right I had better make a move...
love to everyone xxxxxxxLove

Thought you might want to know this from Wikipedia:
"Alpacas are social herd animals that live in family groups consisting of a territorial alpha male, females and their young. Alpacas warn the herd about intruders by making sharp, noisy inhalations that sound like a high-pitched bray. The herd may attack smaller predators with their front feet, and can spit and kick. Their aggression towards members of the canid family (coyotes, foxes, dogs etc.) is exploited when alpacas are used as guard llamas for guarding sheep.
Not all alpacas spit, but all are capable of doing so. "Spit" is somewhat euphemistic; occasionally the projectile contains only air and a little saliva, although alpacas commonly bring up acidic stomach contents (generally a green, grassy mix) and project it onto their chosen targets. Spitting is mostly reserved for other alpacas, but an alpaca will occasionally spit at a human.
For alpacas, spitting results in what is called "sour mouth". Sour mouth is characterized by a loose-hanging lower lip and a gaping mouth. This is caused by the stomach acids and unpleasant taste of the contents as they pass out of the mouth.[citation needed]
Alpacas use a communal dung pile, where they do not graze. This behaviour tends to limit the spread of internal parasites. Generally, males have much tidier, and fewer dung piles than females, which tend to stand in a line and all go at once. One female approaches the dung pile and begins to urinate and/or defecate, and the rest of the herd often follows.
Because of their preference for using a dung pile, some alpacas have been successfully house-trained.[citation needed]
Alpacas make a variety of sounds. When they are in danger, they make a high-pitched, shrieking whine. Some breeds are known to make a "wark" noise when excited. Strange dogs – and even cats – can trigger this reaction. To signal friendly or submissive behavior, alpacas "cluck", or "click", a sound possibly generated by suction on the soft palate, or possibly in the nasal cavity.
Individuals vary, but most alpacas generally make a humming sound. Hums are often comfort noises, letting the other alpacas know they are present and content. The humming can take on many inflections and meanings.
When males fight, they make a warbling, bird-like cry, presumably intended to terrify the opponent.
Females are induced ovulators; the act of mating and the presence of semen causes them to ovulate. Females usually conceive after just one breeding, but occasionally do have trouble conceiving. Artificial insemination is technically difficult, but it can be accomplished. Alpacas conceived from artificial insemination are not registerable with the Alpaca Registry.
A male is usually ready to mate for the first time between two and three years of age. A female alpaca may fully mature (physically and mentally) between 10 and 24 months. It is not advisable to allow a young female to be bred until she is mature, and has reached two-thirds of her mature weight. Over-breeding a young female before conception is possible is a common cause of uterine infections. As the age of maturation varies greatly between individuals, it is usually recommended that novice breeders wait until females are 18 months of age or older before initiating breeding.
The gestation period is, on average, 11.5 months, and usually results in a single offspring, or cria. Twins are rare, occurring about once per 1000 deliveries. Cria are generally between 15 and 19 pounds, and are standing 30 to 90 minutes after birth. After a female gives birth, she is generally receptive to breeding again after about two weeks. Crias may be weaned through human intervention at about six months old and 60 pounds, but many breeders prefer to allow the female to decide when to wean her offspring; they can be weaned earlier or later depending on their size and emotional maturity.
Alpacas can live for up to 25 years."
Hmm, perhaps I ought to have read this first! :?"Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea." Robert A Heinlein

Afternoon to all - a wet night and early morning, everything has had a good watering.
Hi Joan, I am sure Lexis enjoys playing with her toys. I hope you have managed to get out, in between the showers.
Mum is doing ok, eating is still not too good, but, that is the nature of the beast I am afraid. She has prescription supplement drinks, that have lots of vitamins and such in them.
Hi Barbara Photobucket can be a law unto itself, sometimes it takes for ever to log on, then you cannot find the photo's, then you get bombarded with adverts and special "offers".
The lady spinning was in Peru, the native land of the Alpaca. Her hat is amazing. The wool if quite complex when you read about it, how it differs from specific areas on the animal. Went over my head, but maybe Carol can sort it out
Yes, it was nice and quiet at the GC, not that I mind that at all. We have a big food festival in Clitheroe, over two days, we avoid it at all costs, thousands of people come to it, from far and wide. If we go anywhere, it is in the opposite direction
Thank you I didn't sleep too badly, only woke up once I think. When the puskins were messing about, throwing litter. Tramadol doesn't really bother me, I know a lot of people cannot tolerate it - I only take 4 a day normally, but I can take up to 8 if needs be (which I never have done yet). I like to keep something in reserve, no point maxing out on everything.
Brain fog, oh yes, I can sit and look at the screen and not have a clue what I am doing, be it writing or just reading the papers, I am off in another world.
Perhaps I should not have called the Alpacas Phyllis and Dyllis, bit it seemed to suit them. Kath has put a very in depth write up about them, we need to keep an eye out for them spitting
I think Dr Doolittle will have to have a word with them, not to spit, we are a polite zoo and everyone is very well looked after.
I would like to nosey around Brighton, visit the shop choccywoccydoodah, there was a series about it, an amazing chocolate shop that does wonderful creations. I would never come out.
Good that the leaflets have arrived, that didn't take long really. At least it says GM Police on them and also you can be fined, if you are denying people access and causing them risk, by walking in the road.
Get them slapped on the windows
Hi Kath, that is a very comprehensive guide to Alpaca's. I thought they were the ones that spit at you. We will have to keep a watch for them and listen to all the sounds they make. If they are drooling then stand clear, lol. :? :?
They seem very tidy when it comes to their "business" doings, we like tidiness.
I see they are good at guarding sheep too, fending off dogs, coyotes etc. We will soon know if there is someone around that should not be there.
I hope you are ok and not in too much pain, walking ok with your rollator and getting out and about.
We are having an at home day, sorting some washing and drying, it is a lot cooler today. All very quiet around and about, just the birdies singing. No butterflies today, too chilly for them. All the flowers that the bees and butterflies love are out in the garden. We thought that the small Wisteria was growing some more flowers, but not, it is just sending out more tendrils..............
All the puskins :animal_busy: I don't think Miss Sleek came over this morning, with it pouring with rain, I think they skyped each other, I heard chattering and chirrups, bless eh. Pepe would loathe being out in the rain, he is highly allergic to water,
Hope everyone else is ok, Toni, resting I hope.........Carol, Kerrin, Christine, Elizabeth, Charrisse, love to all.
Let me find some nibbles, for afternoon T
That should tide us over. Take care, one and all. XXX Aidan
maybe a few more, for good measureXX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -
Evening everyone from one very shattered Toni.
Was in bed and asleep, according to my fitbit, for 9.47 last night. I think the weekend has well and truly caught up with me. Bones aren’t happy either. Still tomorrow’s another day isn’t it?
I rather like Phylis and Dylis you know (sp) Aidan!! Sometimes names just happen don’t they? Are we planning to spin our own wool for Carol to knit with? If we need her my sister spins wool I can volunteer her services.
The pusscats were indeed Skyping today off and on due to there being intermittent showers and a nasty breeze this end. Pepe is apparently practising ‘Mindtailness’ because his anxiety levels were a bit too high for comfort. Miss Sleek was over only once, quite early before the wind started up, and does indeed stamp on rooves – sorry it’s her hobnail boots
They already have plans for what they might do with their magic. I am hoping they can only do ‘good’ because if not, the vets need to watch out!! NOW I know why Miss Slimkins has ‘borrowed’ a croquet club (is it a stick?). The moles better keep their heads down!!!
Good to hear Mum is drinking the fortisip. Lucy wouldn’t – well occasionally the chocolate one if I was lucky.
I used to be able to and needed to take tramadol 8 a day pre and post back op’, but now I know I would be sick as a dog!!
Thank you for the cake it was much appreciated
Kath wow great information which rather caught me up reading it all. I think we can safely look after the Aplacas now don’t you? How clever being able to ovulate to order.
Who mentioned Llamas?? I am sure we can accommodate a couple of those too maybe a mum and baby again.
Probably your Chris and you do support each other understanding pain as you both do.
Barbara have you got to put the leaflets on yourself?? :? If you have you be careful, but I agree with every word of the contents.
I am lucky my Aunts (well half- Aunts live in Brighton) I love the lanes. You must go back one day and have a proper look.
HI Joan Lexi is adorable We saw a puppy Dachsund the other day in town crossing over the road with his owner.
Carol your daughter was lovely to do that for her Dad What a nice surprise and you got a bit of peace and quiet too hehehe Any news yet about the card company? The beer fest was a great success I am so pleased . The Church will get more than double what is usually raised at the summer fayre, but the whole weekend was exhausting.
I think another early night is called for for me tonight so love to you all
Toni xxx0 -
I had a sneaky suspicion that someone would be a wee bit tired and ouchy, no names, Toni, ooops. :?
I am glad it all went so well and the Church and the cancer research charity have had a welcome gift from all concerned. I am sure Rev Delphine was overwhelmed.
The Alpaca's are lovely, apart from an occasional spit. we will definitely need the help of your Sister when it comes to shearing time and spinning of the wool, ready for Carol to knit. Charrisse likes knitting too as I recall. We will have to be on the look out for some Llamas, mum and baby for sure.
I wondered what Pepe was up to underneath the blankets, he was doing his course work, to reduce his stress levels. He seems a bit more chilled out this evening, so something has helped. I am sure it will come in very handy for next Thursday's broomstick test.
I wondered about Miss Sleeks hobnail boots. The magic will only work if it is for doing good, so the vets have a lucky escape. They would all be turned into toads I am sure.
So Miss Sleek is out with a Croquet Mallet, ( I thought it would be a stick or club). I won't watch, if she is on the prowl for knocking moles into next week
Mum likes all the flavours of the fortisips - they come in a far wider range than when I was nursing. I remember hazelnut was particularly vile when I tried it.
I guess I am quite lucky with the Tramadol, as it does cause a lot of nausea in a lot of people, your good self included now.
Glad you liked the cakes, you are most welcome
I hope you have a restful night. Sleepy vibes, on their way.
We are having a lazy evening, B is busy with his jewellery making, trying out new things, practicing etc. Everything looks lovely to me. A neighbour is coming over today to talk about what she would like for two bracelets, first commissions, how cool is that.
I am writing, (obviously) in between pottering and fussing. I will away and empty the dryer, with my trusty grabber
Hi to everyone Christine, Kath, Barbara, Carol, Kerrin, Charrisse, Mig, DD and all
Take care XXXX Aidan
XX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -
Morning.
On my way to London on a slow train. No idea why but all of a sudden were told it's stopping at all stations and I couldn't be bothered to change trains!
jewellery making, sounds like fun!
Had a very soggy moggy this morning. Jeri has not learnt to avoid the rain. Need to upgrade her broomstick to the waterproof version.
Sounds like everyone has been very busy and the pusscats are up to their usual mischief.
Slow train crawling into the station now so better get a move on. Have my daily trudge into school to look forward to, the tiredness, icky feeling and brain fog tends to wear off by 10!

Morning everyone
Aidan my outdoor trusty grabber picked up some leaves yesterday, just a few, but it's raining properly and now there will be a million more
Great invention though
Tonight is shed night and we've all got to drink cider which is all we had left over!! Did I tell you we sold out of beer and had to have 4 more barrels ferried in?
Fabulous it was Delphine is overwhelmed that is so true bless her. But I did do a bit much.
I rather like the Alpacas who is helping with the spitting?? and I haven't had to fill the warthogs' pool today due to the heavy rain.
Sister on standby for spinning. She might weave us some for new seat covers for the café too. She's clever like that.
Diddi is late back this morning from visiting Pepe...she thinks his 'mindtailness' course is really helping him too Her mackintosh, sou'wester and galoshes are dripping
I have put some croquet balls on the ground for her to practise her quidditch with. I don't really hold with animal cruelty as she ought to know by now :?
What a relief that their tail magic can only be used for good. Las time Miss Sleek had some she was a baby and wasted most of it on cream, tuna and the like. At least the vets are safe.
I don't know about you, but I'll be glad when the test is done...I am sick of watching Harry Potter films
So the first commission is about to start then? I bet B is chuffed to bits and hope it hasn't made him as nervous as it would have made me :?
According to my fitbit I had a good (for me) nights sleep thank you very much. I am very glad you tolerate tramadol so well
That is really good news if Mum likes all the flavours of fortisip. Lucy only liked the one so it wasn't easy.
Kerrin I am very sorry about the slow train  yawn!!! You might drop off if it's too slow  Jerri needs a mackintosh and sou'wester probably galoshes too like Diddicat has. Pepe has some too although his are very bright colours. Oh and somewhere to hang them up when she gets indoors
Morning Joan I hope all is well your end. How's the heating?

It's still raining here. Still we need it.
Popped in for my af'noon tea, but I think I am a bit early :?0 -
Chucking it down here.Hope the pusscats aren't out on the broom.
Aidan, does mum like her Fortisip? I think my mum used to have them, but wasn't keen. Her favourite tipple was tea so strong, you could stand the spoon up in it. Although as she never took sugar, I don't know how she knew. (it made her heave).
Joan, thank you for asking. My pain is very up and down.
Toni, Alpacas don't always spit, but I think Llamas do.
Carol, according to Wikipedia, " While similar to sheep’s wool, it is warmer, not prickly, and has no lanolin, which makes it hypoallergenic. Alpaca is naturally water-repellent and difficult to ignite. " I hope you enjoy knitting with it.

Kath very interesting info on the alpacas..I didn't know they got to that age has for spitting..one got the vet the Yorkshire other week...
Aiden your OH is doing well, and getting commissions, but I'm not surprised the jewellery is so unusual..I always think its worth more because its unique..glad you got to have a quit day we all need to recharge our batteries...its good to hear that mum likes the flavours of.fortisips. at least you know she is getting the vitamins and minerals..hope tonight is a good one for you..like you say good to be able to hold some meds back..

Evening all hope you have all a good day as far as possible.
have just been down to the zoo all the lovely inhabitants all seem happy just seen the new Alpacas. they were being quite amiable no spitting going on.
Aidan yes did enjoy my lunch out on my own was only simple ham egg and chips in our local Wetherspoons pub but was nice all the same. Brighton was good day except at lunch time when mr T got annoyed because he said something that I didn't hear so he had to repeat but I threatened to go straight home after lunch if he didn't change his attitude needless to say he altered his frame of mind very quickly. {got to laugh really} I sure slept well when I went to bed though. my fingers are well and truly crossed to as tomorrow is the day it is put into administration in the hope of finding a solution that allows it to continue. I think if not I will have to start making my own cards again and selling them for charity. well we have the alpacas so we will have to see about the spinning of the wool ?????. and yes love the hat.
Joan the day out made a very nice change and we both enjoyed being able to do it as for a long while because of the dog we had until February this year we could not just decide to go out on the spur of the moment as couldn't leave him all day.
Barbara Brighton is not bad and we love the lanes as they are called so many little shop selling antiques. its amazing what things you find down there. Mr T did enjoy lunch with youngest they had a nice meal in a restaurant we use with our church group on alternate Thursday evenings.
Kathleen A very interesting read there on the alpacas
Toni Its something our youngest daughter will do often with both of us when she cannot find the right present. she often dose the same on mothers day this year was different she paid for my ticket to go to the last night of the stock car racing at a raceway near us that has now closed down. I used to do first aid duties there at the meetings with the St John Ambulance up until 5 years ago. so she knew I would enjoy it.
No news from the card company yet but we are hoping it wont be long. Glad your beer fest was a success and double the money raised too that's got to be good. I bet it was exhausting too. So we have the Alpacas, spinners and knitters it seems so off we go then what a multi talented group we have here. oh and of course the jewellery maker too.
Kathleen you just got me in a fit of giggles read about the alpaca wool being waterproof now imagining all sorts of knitted waterproof items the mind boggles
well its time to move before I set into a sitting position.
Good night allStay positive always👍xx0 -
We are back already and showered and off to bed now Barbara nice and early. We were continuing our fundraiser for The teenage cancer trust donating for anything we drank
I wish they'd put Big bro on earlier. I'm sure Elizabeth used to watch BB with me :?
I'm glad the lad s helping you leaflet.
Carol yes a great success, hard work, but worth it!!
My husband Paul loves stock car racing too. His favourite raceway at Coventry closed at the end of last season too.
Your daughter is very thoughtful.
I will keep my fingers crossed for the card company.
We can knit scuba diving outfits and mackintoshes for the cats Pepe and Miss Sleek
Kath Lucy didn't like those fortisips at all!!! You could get a chocolate one down her if you were lucky. I used to make her a drink with peaches and cream in from Macmillan's recipe book.
I am going to ask Carol to knit mackintoshes for the cats with the Alpaca wool.
I'm glad they don't spit too often...camels do don't they??? :?
Sending love to Aidan and hoping all is well ((())) Hopefully just busy today.
Love to everyone else

Well, it is now well after 11pm and I started this at 2 in the afternoon !! Time and people popping in ended up with the day going bye bye........
Rain, rain and more rain, all the day long. Much needed though. Quite cool too, we have the fancy electric living flame on low - to think we were clinging to the air conditioner a week ago.
Hi Kerrin, oh no, a slow train to work, annoying when it has to stop at every station, a bit like a bus when it stops every 100 yards and takes for ever to get to its destination. You kind of loose the will by the time you get there.
I am not surprised you had a soggy moggy. Ours would melt, being house cats, they loathe water. (apart from Pepe when he has his sowester on, for flying with Miss Sleek).
I am sure Diddicat will sort out some waterproof clothing and make sure the broomsticks are water repellent.
Bill is very good with his jewellery making, to say he has only just started, everything really lovely.
I hope the brain fog, ickyness and tiredness wear off very quickly. ((())) How are the wedding preparations going? You will be a fast asleep now and hopefully resting well.
Hi Toni, leaves, yes, grabbers are good for leaves, fortunately we are kind of set away from the trees, so we miss a lot of leaves that blow or fall. OH won't have leaves on all the new gravel
Cider night in the shed, very nice (why am I saying that, cider makes me shudder ). I know it is a very popular drink now, with umpteen different flavours and colours.
4 extra barrels of beer, wow, it must have been a thirsty day, the beer fest.
I kind of guessed you would do a wee bit too much, hope you are catching up on rests and feet up etc. I am glad Rev Delhpine is over the moon
oooh, some new seat covers would be lovely, the wool is very soft as Kath was saying, not itchy and no lanolin.
I am not surprised Miss Sleek was wet through, it has been raining all day, Pepe was all togged up, he had a dry suit on today, with goggles and little flippers.
He is much more chilled, even more so after some cooked chicken breast. They looked so good in the shop, just cooked, so had to have a couple. Don't let the girls read it, or they will stop laying.
I think they went up to the top of Pendle, to see how the flying was is very low cloud. Pendle is often shrouded in mists and dark moods. I am assuming that they did well.
Pepe said that Miss Sleek was playing croquet, (not that he has the foggiest idea what it is  ). Practicing with croquet balls is better than swooping down on moles :?
Yes, the Vets are safe from magic spells, I guess there will be more spells for cream, tuna, etc...........we can ask Mr Potter to limit the times that food spells can be used, in one day, or there will be "consequences" and we don't want any more of them
LOL Harry Potter films are on all the time then, I think Pepe is looking at lots of pictures of the Potter series. He likes Dobby. Bless.
The niehgbour appeared for the jewellery consultation, she forgot last week and was mortified. Next door came round at the same time, so we had a kitchen full for a while............
B is very pleased with his jewellery journey, he loves it. I would have everything all over the place, beads, wire, seed beads, pearls, various gemstones, findings, pins, clasps, wire guardians (whatever they are). Most of it would be up the vacuum.  I have enough trouble picking my tablets up, let alone trying to thread seed beads.
The fitbit tells you if you have had a good night then, how on earth does that work I wonder. Goodness knows what it would say about me and my restless slumbers. Legs all dancing and fidgeting all the time
Hope Paul Lucy Tia and Charlie are all good. Has Paul sorted the water thingy and how is whilemena sp doing.
Hi Joan, still no heating being sorted. This is beyond silly now, I think I should write to your local paper again and to your MP. What does it take to sort out one heating system. Toni is right, I will be off on one.............
Hope everything was ok at the Dentist. We have our appointments in July.....hygienist and dentist, £££
Hi Kath, yes, Pepe and Miss Sleek have been out early doors, in the pouring rain. Their all weather gear kept them nice and dry, not quite sure where Pepe got his dry suit and goggles from.
My Mum used to love T as strong as your Mum, but she liked sugar in it, just a taste. I cannot bear sugar in drinks, like coffee and T. Dad puts about half a pint of cold milk in his coffee and two sugars. No point having the nice coffee. Mum likes her fortisips, always has two a day, it would not hurt to have an extra one though.
Hope you are not having too ouchy a day - pain is a very fickle thing, just when you think, oh, I don't feel too bad, wham, something goes creak or crack and back to square one  Very annoying it is too.
Thanks for the info on the Alpaca wool, it sounds far more suitable for wearing near the skin, I am allergic to lanolin. Plus, it is fire retardant which is very good.
Sorry I didn't even get chance to put the afternoon T out, very remiss - my apologies.
Hi Barbara, so you had wet wires :? they must have been in the area to fix things so quickly, what did they do, mop them down
We were having a quiet day, as I said I was writing at 2pm, which is unheard of for me. Then it all went to pot. Never mind, we are back to relaxing and I did manage to nap a while.
That's good to know you have some help with the leaflets, I was a bit worried to be honest, if you had to go it alone so to speak. Knowing what people can be like if they think they have been rumbled.
I see I am not alone in taking ages to post. We are two peas in a pod lol.
Hi Carol Thank you for popping down into the zoo, I am glad that the girls didn't spit, I think they are nicely settled in. I will ask Johnny to pop the heat lamps on, or the meerkats will think they are in Siberia.
Good to hear that you enjoyed your lunch, ham egg and chips, what could be nicer, mmmmmmmmmm. Chips are a must if you are out for something to eat, compulsory even.
Well done for putting your foot down, re the mini tantrum in Brighton. Soon sorted, excellent I hope you managed to stifle your laugh 8) I am not surprised you slept well after your day at the seaside.
Let's hope things go positively with the card company. As you say, if things don't go well, they I am sure you will make lovely cards and sell them for charity. I know you like to help wherever you can.
Yes, we will have Alpaca wool, Toni's Sister is a dab hand at spinning the yarn and we can feed it all into your knitting circle We will have a real cottage industry going, Alpaca clothing, which is waterproof, cards, jewellery............ I loved the Peruvian Ladies hat too, I want one.
You were back in good time, all ready for bed..........more money for the teenage cancer trust - was the cider ok
I have only seen the odd comment about BB in the online newspaper, it used to be on at 9 when we watched it, but that is back in the eon's of time, when Davina presented it.
Thank you for the (()), our day of chilling out, went a little bit awry. Not to worry.
Pepe was on Skype to Miss Slimkins, while we napped, she was showing him pictures of moles and voles. He is none the wiser. He knows what pigeons are, they all used to try and get them when we lived in France. I think she wants an Alpaca all in one, water resistant flying jumpsuit  we will never have enough wool with just the two of them, maybe we should have more :?
I had better put a nice good night and set out a wonderful breakfast, to make up for missing out on high tea.
Love to everyone
Take lots of care, hi to those who are not in at the moment, Christine, Charrisse, Mig, DD, Elizabeth and all.
XXXX Aidan
XX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -
Oooh well thanks Aidan that's my breakfast sorted!!
Some days do turn out like that don't they? It happens to me too all seems well then before you know it it's bedtime
The cider was ok, but I didn't manage much (I would have wee'd for England if I did) it was 'real' cider not the cheap stuff the kids like not fizzy either I think it was pink lady apples. The TCT boxes were getting heavy too We had 14 in the shed so I nipped into Pom's house to meet her daughter who was visiting for the evening and use their loo
They have a lovely black spaniel who came and bashed on the door for me to come out of the loo and play
Pepe is going to be ok according to Miss Slimkins. Her assessment is that he couldn't be more prepared so fingers crossed for Thursday - we are on count down now She was full of the 'catmosphere' on Pendle hill with the low cloud.
He got his 'dry' outfit from the charity shop apparently. She said he's always on the lookout for a bargain although he can also overspend his pocket-money like she does.
Gosh yes we don't want too many magic treats in one day
Dobby is both of their favourites then? Did I ever tell you Lucy used to pretend to be Dobby when she was ill and grey and thin and without hair. She had this T shirt she lived in which drowned her  It was funny, but also a bit sad.
Yes the fitbit bases your sleep on heart rate and GPS I think....it tells me that last night was dreadful! But I know that anyway
BB is on far too late for me so I intend to record it from now on.
I bet B has started on his commission already?
Wilhelmina is very happy in her place in the garden and I am very happy looking at her I am going to get Pom to help me do her first pruning in August as hers are so successful The girls and Paul are fine. It's Paul's Mum's birthday today. She is 83 I think not bad for a lady on dialysis with type 1 diabetes is it?
All is well in the Zoo I've been and checked this morning. The heating is essential for the meerkats. I have activated the glass roof for them for now. Much cosier.
I will say
to Joan who will be along anytime.
and Woo-oo! to Kerrin who had better be on a normal train today
Love to everyone
