MMmmmm...what a breakfast we have today Aidan thank you
I am very pleased you are down to 3 tramadols much better and pain levels are their usual grotty. Near-on 60 tablets is 50 too many
The bush-babies are back too and are looking after some pigmy possum babies while their parents settle themselves into their beds.
Johnny loves them - can you imagine the 'voices' they have?
How lovely to have had such a clear-out and that some new garden seats went next door too! Such a good feeling to rid ourselves of clutter
Miss Sleek had turned her broom off too when she heard the forecast  Though she said later she quite likes it windy it's 'more of a challenge' so don't be surprised if she appears at yours later
I am very pleased to hear that Pepelongstocking's paw is so much better I hope that's it fixed for a good while now. Pepe already knew his numbers, but like Sleek has been known to embellish things......
Not so good to hear how tired Mum is. Wasn't she anaemic a bit back? is she still taking her tablets? I agree more monitoring by DN required. Mind you she has been and continues to be amazing
I wonder whether the pusskin was a pet of your parent's before you were old enough to remember? Anyway I am glad to hear she is on your wall in pride of place.
So the pic of you and Bill is back in the days of sunbeds
The book is a modern one called 'Before he finds her' I read the Mists over Pendle when I were a lass. My Mum and sister read it too.
The driveway is being widened and the ramp/cement slope is already in place!! It isn't dry yet and two little steps have yet to be sloped too then it will be 'access all areas'!!
A quick wave to Joan!!
Love to everyone

Morning all
was going to post yesterday evening but internet was on and off all evening so gave up in the end so will ty again now.
Had engineer out yesterday morning to the boiler again but he sorted it out quite quickly apparently the boiler seemed to have got some air into it which was causing the problem.
also had problems with one of my medications on my repeat but will get those today as now been sorted out had to go into surgery to sort it out though as they have had major telephone problems for the last 2 days.
Aiden I do have a knitting pattern for the mermaid so it should not be too difficult going to star it today when I go to my knitting group. yes the ABS were intravenous. Pepe levitated some years down for me so just have to slice them up. yes I doubt weather we will be able bring one home on Monday but hopefully we will be able to choose one and know when we can bring it home. the baby pigmy possoms are so sweet with have just got to have some.
Kath white kitten is so cute. when we go to rescue centre to find our pusscat we will be looking for an older cat though not a kitten.
Barbara yes I think she was rather scared that is why it didn't take much persuasion to get her to go to the hospital. the pusskins will be chosen very carefully we have decided we don't want a kitten we want a slightly older cat.
Toni The Bushbabies can smell the biscuit tin for miles ha ha the little rascals but they are gorgeous. rescue centre visit to choose a pusskins and start the process is on Monday so will update you then.
Well must leave you all now got to get ready to go out as a few jobs to do before I go off to my knitting group this afternoon.Stay positive always👍xx0 -
Hello Mig Kathleen Barbara Aidan Toni and anyone else I missed.
Mig yes you can forget hyou got them on.
Kathleen I hope you have a good day.
Barbara we have strong winds today. you be care full.
Aidan I'm sorry your Mum feels poorly I hope it doesn't last too long.
Toni what is the weather like there.
take care everyone
Joan xxtake care

The white kitten is rather sweet, and as for the pigmy possums - AAAHHHHH. Not at all surprising the Bush Babies have 'adopted them'.
I'm glad we stayed in today. Awful night last night. We hardly slept. Today I have thick warm socks, warm leggings, T-shirt, two cardies and a fleece. Warm as the proverbial bug. Glad none of our lovelies have any of those.
Kerrin, a canal boat, how lovely. We are surrounded by rivers and canals. When we could walk better than we do now, we'd love watching the boats go through the locks at Sawley Marina and Sawley Cut."Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea." Afternoon all..thought it was till morning... :?
Toni you need a good rest day...maybe a nice spa ....sounds like they are doing well with the drive..we have had horrendous weather..still very windy and heavy rain in between..short sunny spells...
Aiden the picture your dad did is stunning..he certainly was very talented..so much detail...I do love having a good clear out it make you feel really good..but then I miss things... I hope the DN comes more often to see mum..not sure about you but here they really are stretched..a good sign you have been able to reduce your meds.. now frangipan not had that for ever..hope there is some ;left..and the lovely ..and I am going to look for the gingerbread french toast..it looks so good..
Kath its sounds so nice were you live, I used to love walking along the canals and feeding the swans..at least you get to do the trail so that is good..
Carol yes an old cat would be easier..bless it will have a good home and there are so many waiting for this..we have 3 old ones that come in form next door..they do love there cuddles.. glad your boiler si sorted..
Joan yes we are ok but was up in the night with all the noise..I can only imagine.what the poor people in America have gone through...you two be careful we dont want you blowing away..
We have pots blown over in the back but the fence is held up by the ivy... it was so noisy last night ..didnt sleep much...but like I said to Joan it makes you realize how bad 180 miles an hour winds are...
Hope Christine and Elizabeth are doing ok...
Love to everyone xxxxxxxLove

Hi everyone. I've read through and written a post in a word doc but it has frozen and I can't do a thing with it. I will post it later if I can get it unstuck. If not, I'll try to remember what I wrote. sfl2Christine0
-
Don’t know what I did but I couldn’t finally save my word doc then copy and paste it so here it is.
Toni, I was reading back and saw that you were having a slope put in and you said they were widening the ‘dive’. I’m sure you meant drive but I was picturing you taking a run and diving down the slope. Sorry to hear that Lucy is having problems. I hope the mri doesn’t show anything too bad.
Aiden, I’m glad to see the pusscats are all ok now after not being too well. What a shocking day you, Bill and mum and dad had. And no jewellery sold. It all looked so beautiful and all that work put in to them. I’m sure you just want to forget it now. Hope you have all recovered. Just read that Pepe is unwell again. Not for long I hope. How is mum? Any better? Hope the DN is going to visit more often.
Kath, you are not moaning. As the others said, you are only telling us how you are. We are here to listen. That’s what friends do. I don’t blame you wearing a few layers. It is coming in chilly now. I’m ok while I’m out at work but I add a jumper now in the evening and have got my big socks out ready.
Barbara, I’m glad your neighbour is getting some help. It will still be difficult for her. It’s good that the children are back at school now. You’ve had a noisy night. Was it the wind and rain? It was quite bad here too but I didn’t hear it for most of the night.
Carol, you have had a lovely time with your GGDs and now have a mermaid to knit. Hope your daughter is ok after her stay in hospital. Not long now till you look for your puskins.
Mig, there are a lot of spiders around at the moment so I will collect them for the cauldron.
Joan, good to hear the housing association are going to use a different firm to do the heating. How are your doggies?
Kerrin, hope you had a lovely time on the canal despite it being expensive. I’ve always wanted to spend time on a barge but never managed it. When will you be going on your honeymoon?
I haven’t been in as my eyes are too blurry to focus for long on the screen and I’ve been feeling a bit down. Feel better now though. The doctor at the hospital doesn’t want to see me again till February although I’ve got an appointment for the 29th Sept. It doesn’t say on the letter what it’s for but I think it’s about my cyst which has almost gone. I’ve phoned the hospital 5 times now to find out if I should still attend. Still haven’t heard back.
Last Thursday on the way home from work, there was a car parked on the other side of the road. A car came from behind me and stopped behind the parked car. There were cars coming the other way. Just as they were upon us, the car behind suddenly pulled out and stopped in the middle of the road. The other cars slowed down but instead of stopping, the one in front drove up on to the pavement where I was and kept going. The path is only a couple of feet wide and I thought I was going to be pinned to the hedge. The cars just all drove off and left me there just wondering what just happened.
On Friday, my boss had someone round to put a new fan in the bathroom. After he’d gone, I overheard my boss telling his wife he’d given the man a bit extra because he didn’t think £35 for 2 hours work was enough. I know electricians, plumbers etc do get paid more than I do but I get less than half that.
Last night, I woke up to hear a dripping noise in the bedroom. I called the insurance company who told me they wanted a complete report on the condition of the roof and if it was any wear and tear, they wouldn’t cover it. I called the roofer who spend quite a bit of time on the roof and in the loft but couldn’t see any damage anywhere. He did notice the plaster on the side of the roof had a few hairline cracks so the water could be getting in there. I was expecting him to say it would be a good few hundred pounds but it’s only going to be £250. Phew!Christine0 -
Evening to everyone. Quite where the day went, I do not know  it seems par for the course at the moment.
Hi Toni, glad you liked the breakfast, ginger is very good for the tummy too, so even more reason to eat it
I know, all those pills, no wonder I feel like I am some other planet half the time. :? :?
Oh the pygmy possums are so adorable, glad they are all settled in, they like it nice and warm so the heating has gone up a few degrees for them, being SO tiny, they would soon feel the cold. Imagine the tiny cuddles..........aww bless.
It was very cathartic clearing out "stuff " from the wardrobes, leaving room for things like clothes !!
We didn't get the very high winds that were forecast, not complaining mind you. I think Miss Sleek might have popped over this evening, when we napped. I was out for the count, which is most unusual.
Pepelongstockings is improving, still very sleepy and not impressed with the hundreds of tablets that he is being forced to take
Miss Sleek was horrified at the amount and said it should not be allowed and the vet should be reported - they are as bad as each other
Mum has not been so good. B went round and spent the morning there, as the D Nurse was coming. Mum was just not with it really. We didn't know that she had been to our local hospital yesterday for a scan on her lower abdomen.... :? She thought she had told us...... :?
The GP rang and spoke to Dad, who could not remember he had even called, 20 minutes later. GP said to reduce the insulin, so B made sure he wrote it on the boxes.
D Nurse was very good and said they would be coming in far more regularly and that she would get McMillan back in the loop, as things have obviously changed considerably.
She said that they MUST ring the DN if they need and if mum falls again, then you dial 999, an 84 year old man should not be trying to lift anyone from the floor.
Whether all of this went in, we don't know. We will see how things are tomorrow. There is only so much you can do and people have to be open to accepting the help that is there for them.
B came back and we went out for a quick bite to eat, before I had my podiatry.
B spoke to his Brother to keep them informed, they are coming over Sat. Other Brother lives just outside London, which makes it more frustrating for them.
There is a pic of me when I was little, playing on the sandpit with a ginger Tom, that is the only cat Mum n Dad would have remembered. I love the picture though.
Oh yes, sunbeds, I was like Cuprinol man. Umpteen times a week I was on or in the sunbed or stand up tanning booth. :? :? Bad, I know, probably why I am sun and wrinkle phobic now.
Sounds good, the book you are reading. I like Mists over Pendle, even though it is not about Pendle Hill itself.
Access all areas, great, I will be over, when the cement is dry !
Hi Carol Sorry you have had trouble with the t'internet, we relay on it so much now. Glad the boiler was soon sorted, a little bit of wind, trapped, never a good thing. :?
Also the meds were sorted too. Good to know.
I will have to pop into the shed, to pick up some spare hours to put into today.
I am glad you have a knitting pattern for the mermaid, I would not have a clue where to start, I bet I could not even remember how to cast on now, it has been so long. Let alone try and hold the needles
Pepe's levitation worked then, he said he had been moving some spare days about.
Having trouble breathing is just horrid, so I am sure the admission to hospital was accepted without delay.
I am sure you will pick the right puskin, a mature puskin, that is fine, they are all waiting for loving homes. The puskin might well pick you, cats have a way of doing that.
Hope you enjoyed the knitting group and the coffee
Hi Joan, thank you, we will keep a close eye on Mum n Dad and we are glad that the medical services are picking up the pace now, which is needed.
Have you been out and about, wrapped up warm, it was chilly this morning, I put the heating on a for a little while.
Hi Kath, the Bush Babies are looking after the pygmy possums, teaching them how to give teeny weeny cuddles.
It sounds like you had worse weather than us last night. I see you were VERY wrapped up today. Very snug indeed.
I remember going to Trent Lock at Sawley, a long time ago. Lovely picture, thank you for sharing.
Hi Barbara, we have quite a few pictures that Dad either painted, sketches, watercolours, pastels, he might have been disabled all his life, but he was very skilled and so patient.
It was good to pile up the unwanted things in the car. B took them to the tip today, while I was having my trotters trimmed.
The DNurses are very busy, their caseloads are always increasing. All the paperwork they have to do as well.
There is plenty of frangipan left, worry not.
When we get high winds it is quite scary, as you say, winds going up to near 200 mph, is just terrifying. It would wipe our park home and many houses out too. The poor people that have lost everything.
Funny you should say about Kath not blowing away, Mum blew away when she was at school, she was so tiny and weighed nothing and she blew from the school yard and was pinned to the railings.  Bless her.
How is your friend next door? Any developments?
Oh dear Christine, you had PC trouble, with it freezing. They do have a life of their own.
We have forgotten the week end and notched it up to experience, one that will not be repeated. I could not do it again, no way.
Mum is not good really, but we are on the case, as much as we can be. Matron is on high alert.
Sorry you have been feeling down, I hope you feel much better soon. Hugs for you feeling better soon and for those sore eyes ((())). I am sure it will be about the cyst, maybe, when you get through, they could cancel the appointment if it is almost gone.
I am glad you are ok, with the cars going in all directions including on the pavement. I bet it was very scary to say the least.
We will have to get Pepe and Miss Sleek on with a spell of generosity and sprinkle it onto your Boss. All work done, is of great value and deserves due recompense.
Good news that the leak will be fixed with a relatively small price tag, roof problems can be uber expensive. I bet you were hodling your breath.
Well, it is now 1 in the morning, so I must away. Well past the time for me turning into a pumpkin.
Love to all, Charrisse, Elizabeth, Mig and all.
Everyone take lots of care XXXX Aidan

Is it afternoon already..
Christine when you feel down, come on here and tell us then we can at least listen and send some hugs your way..your poor eyes ...if they go any worse ask to bring your apportionment forward..no harm in asking..is it connected to autoimmune.. I seem to remember a few on here with the same..blimey I am so glad you didnt get hurt with that stupid driver..it just goes to show how these things come form nowhere..now is the time to ask for a pay rise..someone they can trust is worth more than what you are getting..glad to hear the roof isn't costing a fortune..
Aiden poor mum and dad..I really do feel for them..and yes they must send for an ambulance..the trouble is has we get older we dont like to bother people..I am glad B has told the rest of the family ..but so far away is really hard.. now we want to see the pic of you has a little boy..so cute I bet...so your mum was blown off her feet I think if I went out in it..there would be no trouble..not now anyway but I used to weigh 9 stone...
Now the ginger french toast you put on I have found the recipi..so am going to try it...looks so yummy.. my neighbours OH has turned the heating off via his app on his phone..I just cant get my head around him..so we contacted the provider and they will come out..
Joan I hope you are all doing ok..my youngest son is down your way again ..I know he mentioned Swindon and then Banbury..
Right we are having a new window fitted..the handle on the old one snapped off..and they couldn't do anything with it..and the glass panel was misting up..a friend is doing it for us..and OH does his heating..
Hello to Toni if she pops in...
Love to everyone xxxxxxLove

Poor Christine! Imagine getting trapped by a car driving n the road  That is terrifying if it ever happens again you should get a photo! That is so illegal. :x
Plumbers and electricians get paid well don't they? It just isn't fair rates of pay aren't more equal is it? I expect nurses get paid less per hour too
I tested the slope with Lucy's old scooter and I do think it's too steep. Scary...I will tell the blokes today. They have almost finished widening the 'dive'
When you started the water dripping story I stopped breathing in fear....big phew!! I am so glad it's only going to be £250 forget the insurance in that case
You will have to go to your appointment on 29th if you can't find out?? Still will they discuss how bad your eyes are getting with you? February is a long way off :?
Ginger is good for you Aidan you are 100% right! and it's warming too Today's offering is perfectly autumnal too thank you
I am sure the cats will do their best to make the boss more generous...though some people
I'm so sorry Miss Sleek is colluding with Pepelongstockings regarding veterinary treatment

A late evening, almost morning to all................
I am sure I was writing a post earlier in the day, then when I looked it had gone, maybe I was dreaming..............Anyway, I will continue from the afternoon tea time.
Hi Joan, yes, we are keeping a close eye on Mum n Dad. We see them most days, depending on how Mum is really. At the moment we are keeping closer tabs on things.
Mum wanted her eyes testing, so we are taking her to the opticians today, as Dad has to wait in for the repair man, their oven has gone kaput :?
I hope you, Sue and the fluffy doggies are ok and enjoying trips out and about.
Hi Barbara, I know, you lost the morning and I lost the day!! We need a trip to the shed again and gather some hours back.
I quite agree that Christine needs a nice pay rise. I will ask the puskins to sprinkle more magic on the Boss. A stronger potion this time.
You are right about people not wanting to bother others. Difficult to get through and say it is not a bother, it is necessary, if you both end up in a heap, who will know ??
It is difficult for B's younger Brother who lives near London, they cannot just drop everything, they are 5 or 6 hours away, on a good day. They come up as often as they can.
Mum was a bit better today, not great, by any means, but felt ok to come out for a coffee. She soon faded though, after about an hour, she had had enough, which is fair enough. We didn't dally and made sure they were home and safe. It will be very much one day at a time from now I think.
I will have to search out the picture of me and the ginger puskin and put it on, I am sure I am as black as soot
We will come over when you make the ginger French toast, if that's ok.
How rotten can he be, for turning the heating off in the house, via his app. I hope they can easily override it. It is pretty chilly now, late on and early morning. What is he thinking of - Can we not get an APP that stops his car from starting
Hope the window fitting went ok, all is fair exchange, windows, heating, both necessary trades. Fair swaps.
Hi Toni, oh dear, I read later that your post vanished, so I won't speak of it............. :? :?
Nurses don't get as much as other trades by any means. I think it worked out about £12 an hour, that was for deputy ward manager and all that it encompasses. I know that is going back a few years now, but pay rises have been pretty meager.
When I started my training, we worked up to 60 hours one week and 40 the next. We took home £25 a week   and we thought we were rich
We are all in agreement for Christine's pay rise, Miss Sleek was talking with Pepe about it and asking Tomicat for his input, to reinforce the magic dust.
Oh no, we don't want scary slopes, like going off a big dipper, oh no...........vertigo, instantly.
We are certainly heading into Autumnal cakes and treats, some of the leaves are turning, more so the Horse Chestnuts and Silver Birch, they seem to go over first.
Ginger is warming and good for us, not everyone likes it I know. I am the same with Cinnamon
Fortunately Pepe only has one more day of his AB's and I will taper off the Sulpha as well. Cats are remarkable at spitting pills quite a distance across the kitchen   He has it sussed now, and is wary in a morning when he sees the pill packet coming out. It is a battle of wills. No doubt his tales of the horrors of the hundreds of pills will be relayed to Miss Sleek on a regular basis.
You had knickers at the door? Did I read that right
We have had neighbours opposite and side, much nattering and passing of TIME. Next door was going to Bingo with her SIL, so I said get a £5 book or whatever you do. I doubled my money, so that's fair enough, don't mind winning a little.
Pepe was a little hero last night (wed). Not long before bed, he jumped down and was investigating under B's desk / computer / jewellery area, around the wires. I said, he has heard a sp***r, yes, don't ask me how, but he hears them. No, nothing there says B.
Just about to put lights out, what is looking at me from the corner of the room a HUGE Spi***, I said it is big enough to put a saddle on and ride into town. GET RID PLEASE and I shuffled off to my bedroom as fast as I could. Duly caught and thrown outside. Shudder.................
T'is the season, I don't like spider season, there are no lady spiders here, honest, move along, nothing to see.
I am on constant spider watch now, checking each room as I go in and out  Sad, but true.
Right, I will go see all the lovelies are ok and then post, before this vanishes too.
Hi to Christine, Kerrin, Carol, Elizabeth, Mig, Charrisse, Kath and all. Everyone take lots of care

Good morning everyone
Looks bright out there if a little chilly
Aidan mum seems very up and down at the moment doesn't she? I hope all goes well at the optician's today and the repair man sorts the oven ASAP.
I think it's good Mum can manage a cuppa out even if that is really enough for her. She is doing so well.
! remember my big sister's first job paying £20 a week and she was thrilled with it too!!
It is a bit wrong tat jobs where really skill is needed; nursing carers and others get paid less than others. The pay rises if they happen at all are low
The cats have upped the strength of the spell I am told. Miss S tried to make a pill-protection spell for Pepe, but of course it didn't work! It was NOT for the good at all  Torturer you are according to him
He is doing so well now I am very pleased Miss S thinks his paw is on the mend They have a trip planned to London to see Jericat and Tom
Do NOT mention the SP***R word!! I have the sae issue
We have a new 'one of them' catcher. Lucy has used it and caught a BIG one and popped him outside so it works. I can't use it you have to get within 2 ft and also can see him :?

Aiden window is all done and dusted..are all those knickers Tonis they are hanging form the trees..I agree the nurse should get much more in wages....they do in other country's..its hard when you dont know what to expect each day with mum..that is what I found the hardest ..but you can only do your best has you do and they know your are there..hope the optician goes ok for her..yes we need an app to stop his car working...I am beyond fuming..the police say that because his name is still on the morgage there is no stopping him..so My oh is fitting another stat to override the one he has..still wireless for her I love the look of the toast again..you do make me hungry..

What a good girl you were Joan giving your Mum 5 for your keep! we gave our Mum 1/3 saved 1/3 and spent 1/3
Barbara there's a massive spi**r in the hall here :?
I can't see the slope it's under tarmac being shielded from the rain, but tomorrow....and he's done slopes around the patio area so there are no steps there too
Awwwww.....poor you working in a laundry for £3!!! Overtime for 50p that must have been good.
What has the neighbour's husband done? I can't find it? :?
Kath We will be under the cloak on the 2nd I promise the bowel screening shows blood in your sample. My Mum had the same and was convinced she had cancer. They booked her in for a camera both ends :?
Unfortunately she never made it to the procedures, but dies (heart) before. She had a PM and there was no sign of it at all so no idea why her tests kept coming back positive.
I hope it's the same with you (without the heart trouble of course), but totally understand why you would be worried. I have sent over 2 bush-babies to cuddle to take your mind off it and some ((())) from me
Hope all has gone well today Aidan with Mum(especially) and Dad.

Evening all
Hope I will be able to post this as our internet is really on the blink has been on and off over and over again since Monday have it now but how long it will last is any ones guess after speaking to provider today it seems we are going to had a broadband engineer out on Tuesday afternoon as I have refused tom crawl around on the floor looking at the phone socket and Mr T also has problems getting on the floor and because the socket is low down and behind shelving unit this is the only way we can get to it without moving 2 units out of the way every time some thing goes wrong. so I may be missing on here a few days if I cannot get onto internet. at the moment it seems stable so I will carry on. This week has not been a good one starting off with repeat medication problems and dr surgery telephones going down for 2 days then internet problems then the explosion on a tube train at Parsons Green not far from where we live. with constant calls from family and friends asking if we are ok whilst also trying to contact internet provider and Mr T complaining about the internet going down all the time. and friend having an emergency at home and not being able to meet me for coffee but me not getting the message cos I was already in the costas early and the phone signal in there is non existant so I didn't get the message until I gave up waiting and came home. just want to get this day over with now .
I have just been to see our lovelies and have cuddles with the bush babies the pygmy Possums are still learning and are not quite ready to give cuddles yet bush babies say it wont be long now.
Barbara Yes we are thinking the same thing with regards to puskins an cat of at least 2 years and above will be less bother.
Christine I bet the the car incident was a bit scary . your wonder how some driver even got their licence. Daughter is ok recovering nicely and puskin visit time is Monday may not have it Monday but will have some idea hopefully as to when. Mermaid knitting underway.
Aiden sorry to hear Mum is not to well hope the DN dose what she has promised. as you say there is only so much you and B can do. as you can see from the start of this post internet saga continues plus a couple of other things occurring my brain is just about fried today with it all just wish everything would stop happening all at the same time. Knitting group seems to be the only thing that has been ok this week. cannot wait until Monday to start looking for Pusskins at least that will be some thing good too.
will now post this before it all goes down again will pop in again when internet allows and hopefully it will be all okay after engineers visit on Tuesday sfl sfl2Stay positive always👍xx0 -
Afternoon to all, well, that's Friday done and dusted :? I will gather a spare five hours I think, that should get us back on track...........
Hi Toni, yes, Mum is up and down, for sure. She was quite a bit improved today and we collected her to take her to the Opticians in Skipton. Dad had already gone off into town, to the electric store.
I switched the cooker off at the mains, then on again, reset the clock and it worked perfectly   I think the timer cooking buttons had been pressed, therefore it will ignore anything else until you cancel it all out. Anyway, we rang the electric store and said, tell dad when he comes in, that the oven is working
Quite a bit of hanging around in the opticians, which is not abnormal. Yes, mums eyes have deteriorated for reading. So they could do new lenses for her old frames, would take an hour or so. Fine, so it was coffee, T, Cakes, Toasties. Mum did well with her lunch to be honest, compared to what she has been eating.
Glasses all ready an hour later, popped into nice gifty shop for present for next doors Birthday tomorrow.
Vets, for more food and biscuits for the girls. Then HOME, hoorah. Everyone safe and sound
It will be a busy ish week end for them and us too, with B and SIL tomorrow, then Niece and her partner on Sunday pm. Gird your loins, and carry on eh.
She does remarkably well, very true.
I bet you Sister was thrilled with £20 too, I thought I had won the pools when I got the £100 for the month you cannot get two medium shops at the supermarket for that now.
I know they are campaigning for nurses to get a decent rise, not capped at 1%. Rightly so me thinks
Ah, Miss Sleek has been practicing different spells, to stop pepe having to take the pills, I wondered why they were floating near the ceiling
No, it is not for the good, to stop his pills, hence it all went wrong. Only one more AB this evening.
I am the evil matron, who is in cahoots with the vets, who are the harbingers of doom and am forcing wicked medicines down. Every time they natter, it is embellished even more
I think Miss Sleek has been over, the broom was fizzing and there was evidence of much carpet gliding.
I think they are off to London tomorrow, Hermione has granted a transportation to and from.
No, I won't mention sp****s at all. There were none last night, the windows are open, with mesh in. Apparently they do not like strong smells, like lavender oil etc, worth putting around doors, gaps etc. They smell with their legs apparently
I could never use one of those catchers either. I would be a big ninny and drop the thing
Running out of time so I will save this to drafts. Be back later xx
I popped into the shed, but we are running low on hours, I will have to ask our puskins to cast a little spell of time capsules.
So, now we are late evening.
Where was I? Talking of the unmentionable 8 legged monsters......
Now you have had a HUGE one in the hall, LUCY, help.............
Looking forward to pictures of the new ramps / slopes to the house
Was it choir practice tonight, did Barbara manage to get there and use her auto tune mic
Hi Barbara Good to hear that the new window is all done and dusted
Toni's knickers are in the trees, OMG. It has been quite breezy,so they might have gone flying, in fact something flew past earlier this evening, I thought it was a bat
I did have the chance to go and work abroad, one was a position in Florida, one was a position in Dubai. The latter was totally tax free, accommodation was free, two free flights back to the UK per year, I think is was nearly £60000, that was back in the early 1990's. I never plucked up enough courage to go.
Yes, I remember what we went through with my Mum n Dad, especially in the latter years. We had about 5 years where we didn't stop, but you know it is the right thing to do and something keeps you going.
As you will have read, the optician trip went well, Mum was fair to middling today, so that is good, we will run with that.
I bet you are fuming with "him" next door. Nothing anyone can do until he is taken off the mortgage, well, I hope he is paying it, all of it too.
Nice one Mr B, for installing another thermostat, to override his messing about.
I make myself hungry posting all the wonderful cakes and things. Talking of cakes, B and I had a very nice cheesecake in Nero's today, raspberry coulis, it was wonderful.
£3.00 wages and 50 p for overtime. Nothing wrong with working in a laundry.
Niamh has lost her first tooth, but is not so sure about the tooth fairy, bless her. We used to get sixpence, no idea what the going rate is now :? :?
A big sp**** in the bin, probably a wolf sp**** if it has stripes. I don't mind them, they always live outside, it is the black monstrous ones that freak me out.
Hi Kath, don't you worry hun, we will all be there under the cloak. These tests often come back with false positives, but, it is worth checking, to be sure. One step at a time. See what the Nurse Specialist has to say and take it from there.
Sending you loads of hugs and mountains of good vibes, they are on their way to you now. I know how worried you will be. ((()))
Hi Joan, so you were on £7 a week, then gave Mum £5, I think we all felt quite well off, even on such low wages, by comparison. There was no draw for the latest tech gadgets though, a colour tv was the most amazing thing, in the early 1970's, I know it cost Mum and Dad a small fortune. I was just in awe, being so used to black and white.
I am rambling, thank you, yes, everything went ok with mums appointment. New lenses, all done and dusted
Toni, I see you are step free and we need to send the puskins out to find those knickers, they can practice their quidditch skills again
Barbara's neighbour has used his app, to switch off the heating in the house, leaving them in the cold. What a rotten thing to do. Barbara's hubby has by passed the hive or whatever it is and installed another one for her. It is pretty chilly in the evenings and mornings now. Karma is all I can say.
Hi Carol, we had the same things with the internet, can you take a picture of the phone socket, can you unplug this wire.............that wire............no, you know I am disabled, oh, yes, sorry, it is on your details.
I hope they can fix it and no way should you be moving shelving etc, they can gain access, make sure they note on their details that you have accessibility problems.
I am glad you are both safe, with yet another terror attack. So close to you as well. I bet your phone never stopped. I am glad no one lost their lives and the actual device failed to detonate, or there would have been many fatalities. We live in such worrying times.
The surgeries computer going squiffy, then your internet having Gremlins, friend not turning up for your meet and greet. Best draw a veil over the day me thinks.
Yes, you are right, there is only so much we can do, we are close by, in fact Dad could shout across the woods and we would hear him. We are taking things a day at a time. I am sure the D Nurse will be on the case, things take a bit of time to click into gear. If not, we will be making it our business to move things along
We have had a chill out evening really. B changed the beds, so I have plenty of washing and drying to keep me out of mischief. We enjoyed cruising with Jane McDonald, as we always do. I am tempted to book tickets for her 2018 tour.
B is doing some more jewellery, while I potter every so often. I have perfected the art of pottering.
Better get ready for a busy ish week end.
All the lovelies are fine and the pygmy possums are just so so cute. Not long now until they can give mini cuddles.
Hi to everyone else, Kerrin, I hope your parents got away safely and now you have your B and SIL there with you.
Christine hugs that your eyes are not too bad at the moment and more magic to be sprinkled over your Boss
Hi to Mig, Charrisse, Elizabeth and all.
Take lots of care. XXXX Aidan

Oh dear Carol I do hope the internet gets sorted on Tuesday and it doesn't cost you  The last thing you need is Mr T moaning about it - it's not your fault!!
I am so glad you weren't involved in the incident at Parson's Green  and hope your friend is ok?
I, for one, cannot wait to hear what the process will be for a pusskin and how soon you will have a new addition to your family
Aidan I am so glad to hear that Mum was much better yesterday She ate ok and was able to stay out after her eye test while her lenses were sorted that is good.
Bless them thinking the cooker was broken. It's easy for the buttons to be pressed or even a power-cut (even a tiny one that we miss) can cause the same
Probably did Dad good to be out on his own for a bit anyway.
My sister was over the moon with her £20!! Imagine £100 a month  wow!! Now I bet they kids would expect over £1,000!
Nurses pay should never have been capped at 1% :x grrr!!!
Miss Sleek got the tablets levitating? Gosh I am so sorry  I told her not to believe Pepe and that she ought to catnotise him so he could cope with the vets
I have firmly explained that his 'paw' could get infected and drop off if he doesn't take his tablets. It's important. She thought about that and decided he wouldn't be able to hold his broomstick as well as using his wand so.....
Busy weekend ahead then?
Us too including a night out for Lucy  Yes London this afternoon at your nap time. She is all packed. Tuna treats and Cat milk all in her back-pack.
My knickers are so big they will NEVER blow out of the trees!! They take 6 pegs to hold them on the line
Barbara did a great job a choir the sopranos were much improved
WHAT an evil neighbour turning the heating off I hope the solicitor has been informed? :x :x :x
Morning to Joan! Absolutely it's good to have a plumbed in washer
See you all later
