Been offline for two days. fault on the line. Oddly, it only affected internet, phone was OK. Back online now.

Optician came on Monday, my sight has become really bad, but it's not the cataract. Last year I just had reading glasses, but this year I'm also having distance. :?

Had my blood test this morning, still no flu jab. Mentioned it on phone to the doc, she knows not when I'll get it!! :o

I'm glad you liked my photos. Dad is 87 this year. Anita is 59 (7 years younger than me). She has to see GP and have x-rays. She has also asked for a scan.

    Love to all. xxxxxxxxxxxx

Barbara you've got to feel for Aidan's Mum and Dad haven't you? They are obviously as proud as their son and son in law

The chariot came out did it? shopping online is fun I think although I can spend too much.

Are you ready for choir practise tonight?

Kath I am sorry you need distance specs too :( I hope they will stay stable for a while now. STILL no sign of you flu jab?

Your dad looks lovely and good for his age. I hope Anita (little sis) finds out soon what is wrong ((()))

It was icy here Joan thank you we have had a good day here :) I hope you have too.

    Evening all

Reading back to my last message I seem to have lost another day I wish that shed wouldn't keep spiriting them away. think I need to have a very stern word with that shed :? hope you have all been as well as you can be over the last couple of days I have not been too bad and things go on as usual. good news about the charity card company that closed down back in August they are re launching in January under a new name. as some of the old staff have managed to salvage some money and have brought off some of the old company stock and are able to set up on a smaller scale and build it up again. I have sent in a new registration fee and am waiting to hear back so I have fingers firmly crossed.

Aidan I will look into buying the cream you suggested it looks pretty good. My GD put a picture of Graycie on Facebook today standing up with the back by the wall not holding on to anything so don't think it will be long now before the walking and she is 11 months old on Sunday. is there a spare table under the clock as well cos we only had a small one :lol: think I migh try another slowcooker meal on Saturday, sending Mum and Dad more hugs ((((())))). Hopefully they will sort out the washing machine on Friday for you. ooh cover on the tank I wonder what is in there.

    Joan
yes think we need thermals here too getting colder everyday.

Barbara Yes you did spell Graycie correctly don't worry Mr T spells it wrong every time. I am going to get some of the cream too.

Toni I am thinking the same about the cream Aidan spoke about too it sounds good will try to get some. Glad Lucy's results
    were good.

    Well its bedtime again
so a good night to you all.
    Stay positive always👍xx

Evening to everyone, almost midnight once more

It was frosty again this morning, but nice and snug in our home :) Says me who loathes the heat. I melt all summer and get chilled all winter - no pleasing some folks. My cardio says my own thermostat has been damaged

I digress. Glad you liked the blueberry danish, it looked so good Toni, I could have face planted into it.

Good idea to increase the temp checks for Lucy, just to be sure that things are ok. Dr Tim sounds so good, not over worrying about things, just keeping a slightly closer eye. Wise Dr.

I had a feeling your back was still hurting, so I will keep the good vibrations going. Maybe a little possum would like to help - they are super good at mini cuddles.

B was a demon with the parking, we were dreading today being the same, but no, no queue, dropped Dad and I near the door, then went and parked easy as pie. Then we have a ciggy under the no smoking sign   well, that is where the bin and ashtray is. :? :?

The plan for Mum coming home does sound like a good thing, obviously a new way of discharge planning for those who are at risk or vulnerable. They even keep the bed open for several hours, so that if the team are very worried about the home situation then they will take the patient back to hospital and re assess.

As far as we know all is on track for Friday, no one said anything today, it was a bit of a none visit, Mum was very quiet, her BP was low, but her fluid restriction of 1.5 liters was confusing her. she thought the water jug held 4 liters, so was not drinking enough. I think I got it across that she could have two jugs full a day, at 750 mls each. Not quite sure how it was missed, but sorted now.

Dad has bat ears for sure

I used to have a guinea pig, he was cute, lots of shouting and whistling. Pepe has recovered from the thoughts of watching the evil vet programme

Sleek does guard the house, the same as Pepe, well, he thinks he does  I will mention that the broomstick can be turned off, save it fizzing all night.

The covers were off "the tank", probably while the occupants were being carefully moved to their bigger home. I will try and open my heart to them, but not my eyes   :?
There is a cover over now, to keep the warmth in and prevent any wanderings - shudder.

The washer was completely rattle free on its wash tonight. Not a sound, spinning perfectly, just typical,  what do I do now, cancel the repair man? Let him come and check it? I will do another wash today and and see if it is silent again.

B is very busy creating new designs with the seed beads.

Hi Joan, good that you have not had any rain this week, means you can get out and about on your buggies.
We will take care, likewise to you and Sue. Hopefully Mum will be home on Friday, all being well.

Hi Kath, so your internet had a glitch, as they do. Good that all is working again and you could at least use the phone.

Glasses for distance as well, sorry that there has been a deterioration. But the cataract is not causing the changes. Have they said when they think they can remove it?

Still no flu jab, they could have done it when they did your bloods. I am going to have to get the bus and come do it myself.

Dad is looking well for 87. I hope your Sister has the necessary scans and x rays.

So you have given up on window shopping then Barbara  mind you, I don't blame you one bit, so many more people are shopping online now, it is just so much easier, you can click and collect, or have it delivered and you can choose things in the comfort of your own home, not braving the madding crowds. Oh, I could not bear it.

We hope Dad is coming round to having more input from medical and care staff at home. He always thinks people are going to come and nosey round - at what, we don't know. Mum will certainly need some extra help, we will do all we can as well.

Not sure what to do about the washer - I think I will let the repair man come out and check it over.

I hope the animals are all fine, Johnny and all the other keepers do a sterling job. I think the super vets are in this week end, to check them all.

Plenty of blueberry danish left, it never get any smaller, which is wonderful

Choir practice, I thought that was Thursday, I am sure Barbara will be in full voice.

Hi Carol, that is good news about the card company stock being taken over by a group of people. I hope it builds up and does really well. I am sure you will be fine, with your registration sent off, to carry on selling the cards.
Will you still make your own cards too - or are the days already running away too fast, just like ours do

do try the cream it is well worth it and not expensive. I seem to have missed the picture on FB. :( I am sure Graycie looked adorable and will soon be running around and into everything.

Oh we have tables under the cloak of many rooms, dining suite, picnic tables, fold down tables, we are spoiled for choice, to we can bring some along and help with the shepherds pie etc.

Thank you for the hugs :) Very kind.

The lid on the giant tank is clear, so you can see the spi---s that are residing in there, they are huge, with big hairy legs, Sleek has told me all about them, well, she was telling Pepe but he fainted

Well, it is 1 in the morning so I will potter some more. Off to the hospital again today. Two weeks Mum has been in, how time flies. Different when you are the in patient, as I well know.

Hi to everyone else, Kerrin, Mig, Elizabeth, Christine and all.

Take care, love to all XX Aidan

Morning everyone. Been a busy few days and I’m plodding along. Yesterday was a tough day physically with rugby and football for the kiddies. Did well in the rugby but not in the football.

Battling a bit with my ankles and wrists at the moment, they are quite tender. The ankles are a big worry!

Those danishes look yummy! Hope everyone has a good day.

Hi Joan t98112 All is well here thanks. The BF visited again last night for a few hours. Lots of laughing :)

Kerrin it is not good when you are on your feet and it's your ankles hurting :( Do you remember to take your anti-inflammatories at times like this? Sending some ((())) and I am sure Pepe will 'lend' his Drs bag to Jericat or you could borrow a possum?

It's lovely to see you though :D:D

Aidan I would get the candy man out anyway. Chances are if you cancel it will happen on the first was thereafter!! 'They' may still be able to diagnose on symptoms.

Did I tell you Lucy's new shower (fixed on 27th) wouldn't switch off again  Coming next Wednesday now....

The blueberry Danish was lovely and as for those peach roses well! Devine, delectable, delightfully delicious :D

I am hoping that Mum's discharge goes ahead tomorrow she will certainly be ready for home now. Extremely wise practise keeping the bed 'open' for a few hours so the team are sure :) Imagine poor Mum thinking she could only drink a jug-full bless her.

Glad parking was ok yesterday - why on earth is the smoking area underneath the N/S sign???? :? Maybe it's a reminder to have one now?

I might just have me a possum if there is one free for my back thank you very much :) All seems well with Lucy appetite is good for example and temp normal.

I am glad to hear the cover is on the larger tank with all mod-cons such a creature could dream of. Johnny is good like that :) We shall think kind thoughts - from a distance

It is choir practise TONIGHT!!! Barbara I am so sorry  That was me practising the new songs here yesterday it was shed night.

Carol - what great news about the card company :D I bet you are thrilled and lots of other customers too. if they start off small I am sure they will be fine.

Naughty shed stealing your hours  Go and collect yourself an extra afternoon or two!

You look after yourself I can't wait to hear Graycie is walking, mind you I adore the 'coasting' phase which she's in just now :)

    Love to everyone else

Oh Joan. I'm with you on glasses or contacts. I have Sjogren's, and couldn't bear anything in my eyes. I spent 2 years having bandage lenses that had to be changed every month. My Optometrist advised me to have stronger eye drops, instead of hypromellose. I'm to have Celluvisc, they cling to your eyeball better. They should arrive today, with a new supply of patches.

Looking at the Blueberry Danish made me hungry, but I get tummy ache when I eat. And very windy.

Hi Kath I hope the new stronger more clingy eye drops do the job for you.

Do take a cuddly with you there are plenty to go around :)

How are you coping if you get belly ache every time you eat? Are some things gentler on your stomach?

    Evening all

An early visit on here tonight yes I cannot quite believe it myself  what a day Started off last night really just before we went to bed Mr T was out washing the cups after our mid evening cup tea when he discovers we have no water coming through the mixer tap on either hot or cold but we had water ok in the bathroom I have a contract with British gas for plumbing and drainage so about 7.30 this morning I rang them up to get someone out to look at it they guy comes around 10.45 and takes the nozzle of the end of the tap and water is coming through fine but we have now got to get a new tap and they will fit it more money to spend out, also Mr T seems to have lost one of his hearing aids so he is now going to have to get another appointment from the hospital and will probably have to pay for this one. more money to be spent. the tap is likely to cost us anywhere between £60-£165 then the hearing aid on top. the guy did something to the tap nozzle so that it works at the moment. so more things to push back all the other things we want to do. then I had been out and got on the bus to come back home, there was a buggy in the wheelchair area so I asked her if she could turn it round a]so I could get my rollator in as well but because there was a man getting on the back door of the bus she says to me he needs to get his buggy in her as well. me being me said yes but I was on the queue first she decides she is getting off because I have made it an uncomfortable journey because of my attitude.  some people. so today is a day to forget.

but this picture of my Graycie cheered me up
https://www.dropbox.com/s/1gupxzfokcc99ta/Graycie standing up against wall at just under 11months .jpg?dl=0

Aidan yes I will still make my own as well when I get time as well as the mermaid my daughter now wants me to knit a doggie sweater for her elderly Staff who is loosing his fur and gets very cold. and I am the only one she knows who knits. I am going to make an order for the cream next week as bank balance is getting a little low until midweek next week. oh dear not the dreaded sp****rs well I will be careful of that then cos I don't want to be chasing them to put them back if they escape. better keep Pepe away too cant have him fainting all over the place :lol: hope they get the washer sorted tomorrow.

Joan the search for the pusskins has had to be put on hold at the moment as so many other thing are needing our attention and the money needed for pusskins.

Toni yes it is good news about the card company as although I never sold many I do enjoy doing it. so keeping our fingers crossed all will work out. hoping my few customers will accept the fact that the cards have increased it price now by 25p per card but they are still reasonably priced at £2 as the quality beats any shop. check the photo link of Graycie standing by the wall not holding on so cute. yes they are fun to watch when they are going round the furniture. I gave the shed a good talking too about stealing our hours and days,

Barbara check out the photo link above so cute. as far as the cads are concerned we can get some Christmas cards and other general ones as they managed to be able to buy up some of the old company stock to stat them off. but everything launches properly in January.

well its time I left here and got on with some knitting. and some other bits

will hopefully pop in tomorrow. t98112 t120007 t120007 :bee:

Hi to all, it is still Thursday, only 30 minutes left.

Mum is home tomorrow (Friday) The Home first young lady was on the ward today and she is bringing Mum home by 1pm, as the other team will be there to carry out the checks and assessments etc. We will let them do what they have to do.
B has an appointment with the Practice nurse and I have a podiatry appointment this morning. Plus the Candyman is coming and we need to shop and go to the vets and and and.............................
Rest, what is that word, it eludes me.

Hi Kerrin, lovely to see you. Sorry that your ankles are causing bother and the ouches, we will have to be sending some good vibrations and a possum or two to help with teeny little hugs. ((()))

Good news re the Rugby, but not so for the football, oh dear. Sounds like you are as busy as ever.

Have you had depo medrone injections in your ankles?

enjoy the Danish pastry with peach roses, pack some up in a doggy bag for Hubby too.

Hi Joan, yes, it is good news that Mum is coming home today. We will see how the day progresses and what the various teams have to say. I expect the D Nurses will be on the case as well, they will see on the computer system that Mum is back at home.
I am sure the hugs will be welcome, as always.

Love to you and to Sue and the doggies too, hope you managed to get out and about.

Oh, the BF visited again then Toni and much laughter too, very nice. I hope he spoils Lucy, rightly so too.

Of course Pepe has sent his Drs bag down to Jericat, Hermione did the transportation, he tried, but it went from the bedroom onto the roof  More practice needed. I think there has to be a collective of puskins to carry out a transportation, hence Pepe's attempt went askew.

The Candyman rang tonight, at nap time, to say he should be here before I have to go to my podiatry appt. If not, he said he would sit and wait for us to get back. The washer did do some rattling on its spin, so the gremlins are still there, lurking.

Lucy's shower is behaving badly again, not good. Let's hope they fix it properly next week.

The peach roses and danish pastries were so lovely, but had to be eaten - I had a little creme fraiche with mine, just wonderful.

We are all on course for Mum coming home, B is going out in the morning to get their paper so Dad can be in at all times. Then we will go round mid afternoon to see how things are going and see if anything needs sorting, pills, pads and the like.

All the bins at the hosp have ashtray things on top   as Barbara will know it is a windy place up at Blackburn hospital, so we like to stand out of the breeze, where the big sign is saying this is a no smoking area. Ok, tell that to all the patients and all the visitors who are all lighting up left right and center.  being wheeled out with drips running and bags and drains in tow.

There are several possums who are now fully grown and can stay with anyone who has the ouches. They are easy to transport in pockets and bags, as long as there is a little biscuit or some chocolate in there, to sustain them.
Some extra ((())) for you back, you have my sympathies, truly. Mine is singing and it is not tuneful.

I thought it was choir practice on a Thursday, but guessed it had been changed for some reason. So it was shed night and poor Barbara was there, singing her heart out and no one was there, not even a light on  :cry: bless.....

Glad all is ok with Lucy and her temp and appetite are good.

Hi Barbara, so you have some nice new warm joggers. The ones we bought were more like pj's, very thin, but nice and comfy, with lots of elastic on the waist

Poor you, all alone, singing in the dark.

I don't think I could cope with a heated blanket, Mum used to love hers and would look forward to going to bed to get all snuggled. It was an over blanket one, you could leave on all night.

See above re the smoking, it is somewhat of a joke though. At least we used the bin provided and not the floor.

B is getting a lot of stock ready for early next year when one retail outlet is getting back in touch with him, about stocking his jewellery, exciting :)

Both Dad and Mum loved their garden, Dad did pottering and making and mending, while Mum did the rest of the jobs. Their rockery was all at waist height, so Dad could enjoy sorting that.

Hi Kath, Sjogrens is most unpleasant, the optician said he thinks I have it too. I am on gel drops for my eyes. Contact lenses would drive me mad.
Clingy drops are much better and I hope they help. Dry eyes, dry mouth and the accompanying malaise, not good. Sending some anti ouches and some of the possums. ((()))

Do you take anything for your stomach ache etc. There are a range of medications that might help.

Has the Nurse arrived yet with your flu jab? I will have to send Pepe and Sleek to give her a nudge.

Oh dear Carol, never rains lest it pours eh, what a day, taps not working, new taps needed, hearing aid gone missing. I am sure they won't charge him for it, if he has been referred by your GP. These things happen.

Then the silly woman had to get off the bus because you made the journey uncomfortable, oh please, was she on her way to drama school, giving such a performance, she should get a BAFTA :lol:

Ah, little Graycie, leaning herself against the wall to keep upright, lovely picture :)

Good that you will be making your own cards too as well as knitting mermaids and also a doggie sweater. You will be busy away.

You will like the creams they are very good. I tend to use the body lotion for my hands and elbows, keep the hand cream in my bag and then the face oil alternate nights, in between all the other wrinkle fighting measures   :?

I am using lots at the moment, to repair all the ravages of hospital hand gels. You feel obliged to use them whenever you see one and there are loads of them all over the place.

Right, I had better do some more pottering. We have a busy ish day today with appointments, etc etc and Mum coming home. Glad the home team are involved and there to check all is well and see what more they can do to help.

Hi to everyone else. Mig, Elizabeth, Christine and all.

Take care, love to all XX Aidan

Thought we should have some fruit, (and pastries)

Today is the opening day at Reindeer Lodge :) Lucy has been helping with toys and stock up to now. This will be the first day she's in her Elf outfit!

Barbara I hope there is nothing wrong if the Dr wants you? I went for my call-back this morning and I am now on thyroxine (hope that is the cause of the breathlessness). Also ESR was up (what's new) and starting on Vit D

There's plenty of booze in the shed. Are you coming to the barn dance tonight?

Aidan thank you for the fruit I had a croissant too :) I am now on thyroxine too and Vit D as well as my ESR being raised.

The Candy man sounds a good chap if he is prepared to wait if needs be. Good luck at podiatry :)

I am so glad Mum will be home today :) I hope all will go well and the team are happy with the 'set up' there. Wise to get Dad's paper so he stay IN!!

I hope B is ok and his BP has dropped a bit.

How sweet that Pepe can get his bag onto the roof now!! If Sleek was with him they'd probably manage the end of the park!! Hermione is good to them :) Let's hope Jericat can treat Kerrin's sore ankles.

I had clotted cream with my rose pastry! YUM!!

It's the same at all the hospitals - smokers need their ****. The QE has a red shelter reasonably out of the wind.

I might take me a possum we have plenty of chocolate here :)

Carol don't be upset about the run-in on the bus. People can be funny. I's not worth the upset.

Silly Mr T loosing his hearing ad!!  More money  I hoe the taps go on for a bit. You are saving for your shed for your pusskin too :(

I would pay £2 for a nice card definitely.

Thank you for the Graycie pic!!! She looks so sweet! What a clever little girl she is :D

    Take care everyone

Aidan, I was DX with Sjogren's one year after RA DX. RA in 1987 and SS in 1988. Op 1 was to put super glue in my eye, covered with a bandage lens which became infected, so they took it out. Then the glue fell out. Then all the fluid in the back of my eye leaked out, so op 2 was to rebuild the back of my eye, fill it with fluid, re-glue it and replace bandage lens. They decided to change it every month. Op 3, 4 and 5 were to pull conjunctiva from top to bottom, then pull from bottom to top, then stitch together. :? That all fell apart, so op 6 was to stitch top and bottom eyelids together (performed in the clinic with a local anesthetic). Final op was a corneal graft which failed, and I've not been able to see with that eye (left) ever since. So I didn't know about the cataract until they told me. :o

    Evening all

We tried a new place for out dinner usual dinner out today bus ride away from us but not that far away it is near our church and in the area where my friend I meet up with on a Friday lives. so we had coffee her end today. both Mr T and myself both enjoyed our meal good food, we will probably do one week our end and one week down that way. At least it was a better day than yesterday.

Aidan that's good news about Mum coming home, good on B for getting the news paper early. so Dad has no need to go out. Good to know the home team will visit mum today
Sorry I don't know what the word rest is there is always something to do and of course hrs being stolen buy that naughty shed. what a nice man the candyman is offering to wait for you if you are not there. hopefully Mr T is going out tomorrow in the hope of getting the tap so we can get them other eng back to fit it doing it with B gas at least the fitting should be free on my contract. And hopefully Mr T will not have to pay for his hearing Aid as he was referred by the Dr in the 1st place. and as for the stupid person in the bus think you may be right a real drama queen if ever there was one, some people make you laugh.:lol:  I must admit I thought Graycies picture was quite cute too.

Barbara yes her look is one of how did I get here. Yes the tap and yes we have looked online and the a mixer tap is between £65-£165 but hopefully British gas will fit it under our contract for plumbing and drainage so fitting shouldn't cost. Good you have driver like that our are not I have in the past even had drivers telling me to move out to let a buggy in but if I am on the bus first I always refused to move.

Toni don't worry awkward people on buses people never get me down these days annoyed maybe but when I get home I tend to laugh about it and think how stupid they make them self look. Graycie is too clever for her own good some times she is such a funny little thing at times. :D Hopefully as Mr T was referred to the hospital by the Dr in the first place it will not be charged for.
Pusskins may take a little longer now but, we are happy to wait at the moment till sometime after Christmas. Glad you said that about the cards because I want to get back to hand making my own again and sell them alongside the others and I would charge the same price for them as I can personalise them too and no two are ever the same even if they are the same design.

well think I need to have a potter around a bit as I may get stuck in the armchair and I don't fancy sleeping there. so its good night
and god bless. see you all soon. t98112 t98112 :bee:

A very early morning to everyone :? just after midnight and I seem to have found time to sit down a while.

A day of being here, there and everywhere. Mum is home, we saw her come back with the home first people about 1pm. We went round mid afternoon but Mum was fast asleep in her own bed, which obviously felt very good after 2 weeks in hospital.

They had done their mini assessment and that seemed ok. I went through the discharge letters and medications, explaining everything to Dad, several times. Not a great deal has changed with regards drug treatment, just a slight increase in her insulin. We stopped a little while and said we would go back today, to see how they are.

The care team are coming in to help mum with showering etc. I think that goes on for a week and is then reviewed. D Nurse is out on Monday and we are round the corner.

Good to know that she is home.

The Candy Man came, with one minute to spare before we had to leave to get to the surgery for my podiatry   we knew him as he had been to mend the old washing machine, so I said, don't let the cats out, take the back door key and post it through the letter box, thanks, and bye...........................He knew what the problem was as soon as I told him, I turned round and the washer was out and he already had the top screws out. I said how did you do that, it took B ages to move it. Years of practice he said.

Anyway, off we went. While I was being shod, he sent a text to say that washer was fine, two large springs at the back, needed greasing, all sorted, no more rattling.

From there is was off to get some much needed supplies from the supermarket, then had coffee and brunch in Nero's, then home, then B went for his blood results and BP check, both of which were fine.

Then we went round to Mum n Dads.

And so the day has come and gone.

A barn dance then Toni, steady away now, dozy doh your partners and all that. I remember them well, I used to enjoy going.

Your raised ESR could be due to inflamation of arthur. Thyroxine rto combat a lowerered thyroid level, which can occur naturally or due to medication etc. Vit D is one that we should all be taking, according to my cardio man.

B was pleased that his BP was down to more normal levels, even with all that has and is going on at the moment.

Hermione is very good to Pepe and Sleek, I might ask her to cast a spell of loving the vet diet. He is being very picky about it, obviously the wrong batch numbers again, the poisoned ones.

I am sure Jericat will help with Kerrins ankles, Miss Sleek and Pepe were in the ravine, casting a spell to send down to her, for extra potency to help with the ouches.

Clotted cream is good, with those lovely rose danish. I was going to have mascapone cheese, but that might have been a bit too much :? :?

Ai, all hospital are the same, smokers need their ciggies. Staff included. I guess staff are not allowed to smoke on hospital grounds now. But, I can guess there will be hidden areas that are top secret. In France, at the main hospital in Tolouse, you had to fight your way in past all the Drs and nurses who were smoking outside in the sunshine. Then when you saw the Dr, they said don't smoke

I think Barbara has been in the shed and had one too many ciders.

Oh Kath, that is one long series of operations on your eye, goodness me, immediate hugs ((())) along with everything else going on, it must have been a terrible time.
Sorry that you have lost sight in your left eye, but with the damage and string of failed repairs, it was always a high risk.

Lansoprazole is the drug of choice now, for protecting the stomach from other drugs that we take. Unfortunately it can cause stomach pain, wind, itchy skin, tiredness.......so might be worth mentioning to your GP when you next speak or see her.

Don't worry, everyone has strong stomachs when it comes to medical explanations etc in the cafe. If we cannot talk to each other about our health issues etc, then it would not be the support that it is.

I hope the Tesco order was present and correct.

Hi Carol, glad you and Mr T enjoyed your lunch out together, not too far, but somewhere different and the food was good, which is a huge plus.
Very happy to hear that is was a better day.

Rest and relax are two words that are alien to me, truthfully, I cannot relax, not without the aid of medication. It is not a new problem it has gone on for years on end. I am used to it by now. That shed is very cheeky, taking hours away from each day.

I hope you have the tap and it is fitted asap, also good that Mr T will not have to pay for his hearing aid, not if he was referred by the GP, to audiology.

The Candy Man was very good, what little we saw of him :lol:

Drama on the buses, a bit like the do I had with a lady parking with her child and there were no disabled spaces, so we parked in one of the mother and child spaces, oh this woman got in such a state. I said, having a child is not a disability, it is a choice, I don't have a choice, I am disabled - end of. Get over it. grrrrrrrrrr

The price you charge for your hand made cards is very inexpensive, as you say, each one is unique, much like B's jewellery.

Hi Joan, hope you Sue and the doggies are all as ok as can be. It is nice that Mum is home and we will make sure that things are as managed as can be without being an interfering Matron.

I had better move, I am set much like Carol. I need to potter.

It is ready brek for breakfast, seeing as the weather is turning colder this week end.

Love to all, both here and not about at the moment.

    Take care XXX Aidan

Afternoon to all, a chilly one too.

Have we rested, have we buffalo  off into town to try and find some things for Mum, not one chemist out of 4 had anything, so we whizzed into one of the coffee shops, not the high street chain ones, they were packed to the doors.

Went to Mums and found same items on Amazon, ordered and will be delivered early next week, so that's sorted.
Mum is very frail. Carer came in and helped her shower, which I think was a huge effort for Mum, she was exhausted bless her.

We stayed while Dad went to do some shopping. I pottered round home after a while and B waited for Dad to come back, it was well past my pill time and bones were shouting.

Then it was lunch and now mid afternoon.

Hi Joan thank you for the hugs, always appreciated. Mum is glad to be home.

Hi Barbara yes, the carer came to assist mum this morning and the D Nurse is coming monday, as well as community physio, us, BIL and SIL........there will be a house full.

mum's renal results are the same, stage three. Her diet it so so poor that not a lot can change there, to be of any help. Good for you, buying the right things that help.

We are looking forward to a pic of Lucy in her Elf outfit. I bet she has had a busy week end so far.

Thank you for the pancakes, I ran out of oopmph, to get breakfast ready.

It is lovely to have Mum home and just around the corner Kath. We will be going in every day, to make sure that all that can be done, is done, to make life more comfortable.

breakfast under the Gazebo, very nice, but a double layer of warmth was a must. We don't want you chilled.

The new glasses are ace, very posh, love em. 8) 8)

I hope everyone else is as ok as can be, Toni, did the possums do their job of helping, along with the vibes for ouchy backs.

Kerrin, I trust you can rest this week end and your ankles are less painful

Chrstine, hope you eyes are not too bad, has the Boss returned from some far flung island in the sun?

Mig will be back from Lake Garda, hoping you had a wonderful time

Carol will you have been at Church, with your cards on the open morning?

It is heading to nap time and the Tramadol are kicking in. I had better leave something yummy, for afternoon T

    Simple and delicious :)

Sorry to be AWOL it was Barn dance last night with fish and chips and this morning Bacon baps and book sale in Church so I have been BUSY!!!

I'll let you know what we raised.

Aidan I am so glad to hear Mum is home and so far the support is going pretty well. It sounds as though she is very weak and she needs a lot of TLC which she gets with such good family support.

Just remember to look after you and B too yes? ((())) I am so glad his BP is down a bit phew :)

Thanks for the medical explanation about the blood results. I will be ok and get it all sorted. Vit D is also good for our hearts? as well as our bones? Good :)

Did you ask Hermione to sort our Pepe's pickiness over his diet? It might be those poisoned batch numbers remember he can read numbers VERY well  Is he eating at all? It might be the tuna he is eating with Sleek :? :?

Yes Drs and nurses often smoke and lecture their patients

    Kath
your glasses look lovely My niece is called Aurora!!

I hope the ponchos kept you warm. Chris is a good 'un ;)

    Barbara
bad news they made Lucy take the kids photos with Santa instead :( She was rather disappointed :( But she brought my Elfie back a baby elf!! I love him I will take a photo :)

Cider is well-known for assisting the vocal chords.

I hope the kidney healthy food help a bit - is there anything I can eat for my thyroid?

Hi Joan I hope all is well with you and Sue and doggies :) Lucy's bf is here again now we are all having a takeaway curry :) He adores her :D

Carol I'm glad you found another good place to eat! Mr T is happy you are happy :) and you could see your friend on her territory too :)

I agree nasty people only show themselves up don't they? I hope MR T doesn't have to pay for his hearing aid fingers crossed. I think there will a few cats looking for homes after Christmas and your pusskin will be waiting for you then :)

Yes I am always prepared to pay more for a homemade unique card for those people who matter to me.

    Love to everyone

Evening to all, a chilly one, the stars are shining brightly and owls are hooting in the woods.

Of course, the Barn Dance Toni, I meant to ask earlier. Then fish and chips, then bacon baps and book sale in the Church. You certainly have been busy - steady away now. Hope you raised a lot of money for the Church, or was it for a specific charity.

Yes, so far the support seems to be ok with Mum and Dad, so far....

TLC is the prescription that is needed. By hook or by crook I will make sure it is given in spades.

We will try and keep our time precious as well, promise. I am very happy that B's BP is down too, the small addition to his prescription seems to be helping.

Vit D is good, I must get some more, hark at me, saying how good it is and not having any in the cupboard  Typical.

I think Hermione jumbled up the numbers on Pepe's food pouches, but, I think he has put them back in order and remains picky picky, but is eating reluctantly. He will come round again, Mr fussy pants.

Maybe too much tuna is on the menu that Pepe and Sleek share. I might ask a favour of Hermione, to stop the spell of tuna magic for a while.

That is pants, poor Lucy had to take the pictures of the children with Santa, huh, Elves are so important to Santa, they make all the toys up in the Arctic Circle. (Have I been watching too many films):lol:
But you have an Elfie, picture, yes please and then I imagine we will ALL want one. :D

Bid Barbara nearly topple over when she hit the high notes, maybe a tad too much cider :lol:

I see Lucy's adoring bf is there and everyone is having a curry, yum........pakora's, I could eat them until I popped. One of the nurses used to get her Mum to make them and she would bring them in, there was usually a fight to get there first.

Thyroid diet, well, thinks like kelp, shrimps, dried prunes, cranberries.
Selenium, B vitamins and Zinv are all important.

Avoid lots of raw green veggies, ie in smoothies etc. They can inhibit the absorbing of thyroxine.

Scones and all manner of cakes are vitally important :lol:  ( I had to put that in, well, there is a lot of vitamin D in butter and cream)

    That's tonights medical lecture :D

B is busy away with his seed beading designs, I can hardly see them, let alone try and create a bracelet out of them. It is a good distraction as well as a fab hobby.

Oh, the washer is just fine, the Candy Man did whatever he had to do with the greasing of springs. Now, when it spins, the clock on the mantle starts to rattle the chimes  :lol:  We have all double skin wooden floors, so any vibrations tend to travel.

Will go round to see Mum n Dad this morning, see how things are, no other great plans, a lot of shirts to steam press, but that is not a chore, I enjoy it, as long as my knees hold out.

I hope everyone else is as ok as possible. Kerrin, Carol, Christine, Elizabeth, Mig, Charrisse and all.

I will pop into the enchanted forest, a frosty week end I think, so I will go take a peek.

    SKilift-800x570.png

blimey, I said frost, not deepest mid winter :lol: beautiful none the less.

All the lovelies are fine, warm and settled, the meerkats think they are in Siberia, so I have turned their heating up to 30, which they say is a little better  I walked past "the tank", but I didn't look :? :?

Right, time for another potter, I am now the shape of my chair. Let me go find something for breakfast.

Everyone take care, hugs all round XX Aidan
