Right got a load of chilli’s growing all doing OK all except two types both Naga strains, not sure why but my ghosts look sick, the leaves start going brown like pigment their not brittle and then the plant starts to look anaemic and sickly, some have given up totally but others are hanging in there but not happy.
I have found an aphid on one really small same as the buggers that messed up my plants last year, they are like a pin prick and grow slowly and live underside of the leaves, I have sprayed them with detergent and also bug killer as the detergent wasn’t doing the job, saying that they still don’t look well even now.
Also I have a lot of little flies bigger than fruit flies and these hang around them and are fast and are all over the place from the top of the plant to the soil I wonder if it is these that has passed a virus onto them that said bug spray didn’t seem to effect them much?. Could it be a virus in the seeds do you think????
Any help would be appreciated, oh Dorset Naga’s are same Genus as Ghost Chillies and were easy to grow and only suffered from the aphid problem later in the years once they had fruited.

Thanks Len these were grown in my kitchen and yes there was that sticky honey dew on one of them, they haven't been good since day one, it pisses me off as I got these off in January in a specially made heat and light box, my Naga's were so easy this lot not so, I have Naga seeds in now but it's a bit late, maybe the Ghost is just to much of a bugger, you live and learn,I would like to know what those little flies are!?.

Not white fly lickle black buggers fast as feck, I have already got the sticky stuff up and got loads of them, kind of like large fruit flies!?.
I've also flushed soil through with clean water on a few to see if there's an acidity or mineral overdose in the soil, had a ook last night and the 4 I have trei it n are starting to perk up I fink!?.

I've given up with them, their infected and now rejected, I have started again, cleaned all the kit down in bleach and even oven cooked the compost to kill off any nasties, I think the problem was those ahipds my wife brought in on a scabby plant, they have givien then an infection-virus, I google it today can't remeber the name but it's spred by them and can also go from plantt to plant and they looked like exactly like the infected ones I found on the web, so it's bye bye time.

Well a glorious day and I have managed to cut the back lawn dig out a dead bush and plant some sweet peas!
At the end of the winter my garden was a tip! overgrown bushes, dead bushes etc. Now it is begininning to come back to shape I have planted a new magnolia in the back and one in the front along with a **** willow. I did learn however a few weeks ago to only do short spells working in the garden as it gives payback!
Anyway its coming on! If I knew how I would post some photos!

    Hi
Its another lovely day so will dedicate myself to outdoor tasks today - the inside can wait until it changes - This might be summer. Think I will need a trip to the tip as because I have cut both the front and back lawn this week the recycle bin is full!
The garden is looking much better though at the beginnig of spring I was really worried about how I was going to be able to get it back, but I am slowly getting there - I went a bit mad to start with and paid for it so now it has to be a little bit at a time - seems to be working though!
Hope you all are enjoying your gardens and gardening!

Well its alright for some! you enjoy your book and chill out on the lounger Tinks! Lol
Well I have managed to chop a dead bush down that was about 6ft. It was dead last year but being the kind soul I am gave it a last chance to come back to life this year - it hasnt taken the opportunity so now it has gone!
Time for a coffee and a rest out on the patio.
Now what shall I do next?

I have found some seeds in the shed, dont know how long they have been there - might be out of date now but might sow them anyway

Well I did the grass I could see (thought we may have more visitors) and enjoyed the balcony (and sun), the tribe arrived for a BBQ and I trained sil up and left it to them whilst I nursed a glass of vino, handy things are youngsters, all enthusiastic and raring to go!
