A little update

Just had a quick call from Mr DD and although still a little sore all is going quite well on the daisy front today

I was pleased to hear this DD you are obviously doing the right thing

It’s all going to plan but the plan is a boring one.

She is twiddling her fingers, but not her thumbs as they hurt more.

Highlight of the day, yesterday, was that she got her hair washed by Mr DD. It seems the former Jonny Wilkinson ‘shower pose’ was pure elegance compared to this latest one and I’ll leave her to fill in the highly amusing (that should probably read ‘tragically undignified’) details once she can prod some keys with a finger again.

She is hoping to try out her netbook later. Although she won’t be able to type anything with it, just swiping the screen to check out the world on the net would represent another step at re-connecting with life outside the DD Convalescent Home.

She’s doing well. She’s being sensible. She’s neither wallowing in self-pity not biting the hand that – literally – feeds her. I am impressed. I think, in similar circumstances, I would be employing my sharpened tongue to take my frustrations out on whoever came nearest but then I am me and she is DD.

If you see this the keep plugging away at it, DD, and keep the goal in sight. You’re doing great and we're all proud of you.
