Sorry to read the sad news. That must be hard to deal with.
I hope your week went well and that the chemo is kicking some bottom. Thinking of you. (())0 -
Good Morning my friends
This week has been a good one. Yes a sad start, but overall good. Thanks as ever DD for updating.
Lucy has had daily chemo....cyclophosphamide and Cytarabine (SP). They have 'whacked' her out, but hopefully it does mean Frogmella that some rear-end is being kicked
Toady Thank you for the sunsine We have some here but one day (Thursday I think) on the way home we had snow!! The polystyrene ball type!!
Barbara We are looking forward to a restful weekend (Lucy went out with Charley after chemo yesterday - wonder why?? Think because Mother's day is looming...shhhh!!!)
Amanda Thank you Lucy hasn't actually been sick, but it's taking 3 different anti-sicknesses to stop it. Hope your weekend is good too
Marie We should have a good weekend at home yes all being well. Lucy's 'friend' is visiting today
Joan Thank you for your kind wishes I have thought about you this week and hope you and Sue are doing ok after the sad loss of your dear dog?
Christine Lucy has coped really well with the news. Sadly she was the 3rd young person who has died in the time we have been attending the unit
tjt lovely to see you! Blokey hugs always greatfully received
Sophie Thank you for the vibes...the Frog family are appreciative. We are getting stronger I think with all this going on. :? we have made some friends for life - both of us
Hileena I know you will be praying for Lucy and thinking of us. Yes I seem to have stopped my 'moaning' for the time being
This week will be much the same as last week I think (and has been better) except our very good friends, (Daughter also with Leukaemia - met on the unit), will be in-patients for a 'heavy' dose of chemo. For us it's a good thing as we'll have company for the daily chemo:) For them it is too as it's a step closer to bashing her cancer
Lucy herself is lymphopenic - similar to neutropenic meaning likely to catch germs and also anaemic so probably will have a couple of pints of the red stuff too.
I do hope I haven't missed anyone and have to keep saying THANK YOU for caring all of you. I also hope you are all doing well.
love and (((())))

So sad to read about losing one of the other children on the ward. My heart goes out to their family and friends.
I hope you are all able to enjoy the sunshine heading your way and get to appreciate the beauty of nature all around us.

I agree with Barbara there. There is no need to thank us Toni. We want to be here for you and Lucy. I hope you have a lovely Mother's Day tomorrow. I'm sure you'll find out what the secrecy was about.Christine0

Elizabeth it is devastating, really dreadful for everyone on the unit. The staff there are amazing....how do they do it? A smiling face for all of us no matter how they must be feeling.
Toady The sun is shining again - how do you do it I think this will be a poignant Mother's Day.
Christine We have woken to a lovely morning So far I am the only person up so have yet to find out what they've been up to....
Barbara I shall say thank you anyway!!! Lucy is still Zzzzzing as are the other two ::)

Hi Toni
Sorry I'm a bit late answering this.
That is so sad that there have been more children on the ward died.
Hope you are having a lovely Mothers Day.
All these people that are talking about sun.....WHATS THAT?????
In the North East we have had fog, mist and rain for 3 days constantly.
Never mind that's the least of our worries
You take care and have a lovely day
