The icky days must be terrible to deal with, I'm remembering my tiny amount of mtx and how that made me feel. But she has had a better day so you must all be relieved after the bad patch.
Much love

Thank you so much all of you!!!
Lucy's neutrophils are 0.01 ATM so very low, but despite this Doctor Tim said Lucy could 'pop in' to a fundraiser being done by one of the parents yesterday. It was LOVELY I will let you know how much is raised.
Joan I do think this is making us stronger - all is well at the moment thanks.
Toady Thank you yes another weekend, but Lucy needs to be careful - risk of infection and all that. At least she feels better
Thanks Marie yes the weekend is here and we will be resting more. Next week I think we may get a day off in the week too
Elizabeth MTX is what goes into the Intrathecal - the one into her spinal cavity!! Yes being sick is vile. Oddly enough I am coping ok with it (I usually run a mile ). They've added a third anti-sickness through Lucy's line, which seems to help
Bubbadog - was it you? Did you jinx us don't worry sickness under control now
Barbara - that's what I tell her. It takes an evil drug (well 8 of them so far different ones) to kill an evil disease.
Christine The hospital are lovely and aim for NO sickness!! Bless them Lucy is much better now, but needs to believe it and eat before chemo
Stickywicket Yep chemo is vile isn't it? I have no idea 'why' my Lucy, but as we say here why not?? The why is maybe because she is strong and can handle it
Thank you Dreamdaisy for keeping everyone in the loop
love to you all (I hope I didn't miss anyone  )

Thanks Joan, Toady and Barbara
Getting 'out' was a real tonic for Lucy and fingers crossed no illness as a result of taking the risk.
Good old Doctor Tim for saying she could go. Oh and she won two prizes at the raffle! The whole evening raised nearly £5,000 for the Young person's cancer Unit at the QE
love to you and thanks

Good to see that Lucy was allowed out to the fundraiser and what a lot of money was raised! It is good to keep your spirits up.
Still thinking about you all. ((())) xxx0 -
Hope Lucy managed to forget things for a while. I've got my fingers crossed too for no illness. That was a very good amount that was raised.Christine0

Aw thanks everyone
This week isn't set to be too bad at all. Only two doses of chemotherapy - vincristine and pegaspariginaise (sp).
Had bloods taken this morning and some platelets due to being very low (only 3!!!!), so back home nice and early
Lucy is also neutropenic, leukopenic, lymphopenic as well. I think that is part of the plan, but a worry.
Love to you all

I know the first term but will have to check the others - they don't sound too good. I know this, however: she has a tigress for a mum on her side. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0
