Hope Lucy has a great weekend with her friends. Great that she'll get to have the school photo taken.

She is very brave. Not even wearing her wig, just headscarf in a very trendy way. We had two girls here all afternoon and one stayed for tea I took her home at 8pm.

We have even being looking at prom dresses!!! Initially she said she wouldn't go to prom at all because of her hair so this is a big step forward

Joan - I do hope your family members all did ok - that is an awful lot of you to get cancer

Legs - thank you for the card I am enormously proud of her (but have to pretend not to be )

Christine - The photo is important to her (me too) she's been at that school since she was 11 and has had enough taken from her. Photos are memories aren't they?

Hileena I hope you had a lovely break. I also hope the family are all well I am resting - I promise asleep by 10pm every day!!

Marie - don't worry if you can't post because you're busy - it's lovely you have all carried on supporting us

Toady - Lucy is a very strong girl you know - always has been. I can't believe how well she has taken this all. So far the injection seems to have done the job. I know only 5mg sedation - I would need 50!!

DD - It's nice to pop in and read these posts. When this is all over I think I will read the lot from beginning to end. You're right; hugs to Lucy must to be done sneakily - she is after all 16

It sounds as if Lucy had a good day. That's brilliant. I hope she does have the courage to go to her prom. She'll have a brilliant time. I love my photos. Got hundreds and hundreds of them. My most treasured possession so I know what you mean. You all take care. x

As always it's a joy to hear from you, Frog. I hope you all enjoyed the week-end and I concur with the others, the courage your girl is displaying is humbling (it puts my little frets into perspective, that's for sure).

I also laud your strength. I don't know how you're doing it but I know you will keep on doing it. And we'll keep on being here for you, end of.

Its surprising how these young one find the strength and energy to go forward and get on with things..bless her she will get to the ball..how lovely to have her photos taken and not miss out..and Toni you must be shattered but you also have found the strength to carry on...we have to..but we are all here for both of you..take care ((((()))) xx

One of the girls on Lucy's ward died today - it was expected but has still come as a shock, as do all deaths. Lucy coped well with her chemo so things should go ahead tomorrow as planned. DD

What a sad and shocking thing to happen, it must have effected everyone on the ward. I think it's worse when it's a child, that too has put all my little moans and gripes into perspective.

It is hard enough to hear of any life being taken away but worse when it is a youngster expected or not. Hope it hasn't upset Lucy too much and her treatment goes well for the rest of the week (((()))).................Mare xx
