    Good Morning Everyone :)

    Thank you DD for letting everyone know that we made it to the Cathedral yesterday by the skin of our teeth!!!!

    Lucy was asleep the day before so I was only able to record the horses on TV for her, but yesterday after chemo we drove home and dropped big sis off at 2.50pm. Asked Lucy whether she still wanted to go. They reply was yes so off I went as fast as poss. Got a parking space after waiting FOREVER (it seemed anyway) and then pushed her in her wheelchair up the hill to the ceremony IN TIME :)

    We ended up near the press and got a reasonable view. The atmosphere was wonderful really wonderful. When Jane and the family let the balloons go I nearly cracked, but clapped instead :oops: I am guessing that it was the Burntwood marching band who marched him off and through the city to the family's private funeral.

    Lucy was interviewed by The Birmingham Mail and we managed to get into the Cathedral still after all to sign the book of condolence. Some of you may remember that I had been taking French classes at night school? Well one of the members of the class was there helping and she came over and found out just why I have been AWOL. She said I have been missed because I was noisy and funny :oops: Made Lucy laugh anyway.

    So long as all is well I will pop in to see them all this Thursday night and maybe sign up for next year ;)

    I am glad to hear that the family are well Hileena and that the romance is still going strong for Sarah. Shame you're a year older too so am I :( Ah well as Stephen would have said it's not time eh? but what you do with it ;)

    Just so you're all updated Lucy is still eating, but now it's all fish!! and fizzy vimto ( :shock: ) no exams this week but several next. English I think and something else.

    David Austen was lovely as ever and I got some pictures of the Peacock there too :)

    One of Lucy's friends will be coming for a sleepover tonight....so long as they SLEEP!! It will do her the world of good. She has been so 'out of the loop'.

    Toni I'm so glad you made it to Stephen funeral I watched it on the TV and was looking out for you, the balloons were a lovely touch and I did the thumbs up for him and in the morning to my postman and he smiled and did it back.. :D its good that Lucy is eating fish..she will get lots of goodness out of it,,and whatever she feels like but I know you have been busy shopping for treat for her.. :D oops Im rambling again but love to both of you ((((())))xx

    As far as age is concerned its "mind over matter" YES? If you don't mind it doesn't matter :lol:
    You????? Noisy :lol: If it hadn't been for 2 husbands coming to pick us up we would still be talking :lol:
    I don't think I've ever had a sleepover here where they have ever slept :lol:
    So pleased that you and Lucy got to the Cathedral in time and that she wants a sleepover.

    I'm sure the sleepover will be fine and of course they won't sleep, there's so much to talk about!

    I know you are funny but noisy! definately not. At least they will now know the reasons that you stopped going to the French classes.

    English for my Son too next week and a maths exam on his birthday :D

    Well done both of you on getting to the cathedral! He was such an amazing young man. I'm so glad we can honour such genuine, 'ordinary' people.

    I hope it didn't take too much out of either of you. 'Noisy and funny', eh? Hey, she's got you nailed :lol:

    Glad you got to the cathedral and signed the book of condolence. It is so sad that Stephen can't see how proud everyone is of him. His family will have many beautiful memories though. Fish will be very good for Lucy. Good to hear she is eating. It'll be fun for her tonight. Wonder if they will sleep. Fingers crossed her exams go well.

    A lovely sunny morning here :)

    I think they slept in the end - Lucy was exhausted and guess what????!!!

    Some of you will know what a TOWIE fan Lucy is...well she had wanted to go to the under 16's disco on Wednesday night as Dan Osborne was to be there. Sadly her neuts were too low and Doc Tim said no (he hardly ever says that).

    So I rang the nightclub and they got her a signed photo from him with get well soon on :)

    THEN...wait for THIS......I got a VIDEO text from my bro last night unexpectedly (he is a manager at a national casino chain) with Tom Pearce (from TOWIE) telling her to Get Well Soon :)

    WOWEEEE TOWIE :D

    See? Some good stuff happens :)

    Thank you so much Christine and Stickywicket, Joan and Elizabeth, Mike and Hileena. I actually FEEL better far more chatty:)

    I am old but know what TOWIE is - no wonder your girl is so, so happy! (For other dinosaurs on here it's a telly prog called The Only Way is Essex, it features mahogany-fake-tanned-fake-bosomed-fake-nailed women and men who aren't necessarily that manly :wink: ) Sorry Lucy. :oops: but you're young which is why you love it. Methinks that if I was sixteen I would too. :wink:
