Afternoon Marie, Stickywicket, Elizabeth, Joan Dachs, frogmella, toady and Christine :D

Lucy has done well today and eaten scrambled eggs for brunch (was asleep from 9pm last night until 9am!). Had scampi for her evening meal again. She wouldn't thank you for chips either Elizabeth!!

Visited the elderly relative (102 next month) who is at her paternal Nan's for a holiday. Made her YEAR I think as I took a photo of her and Lucy together. She wants to take it back to the Isle of Wight to show all her friends from Church who are praying for her :)

Bought a cross trainer for her with my nectar points from Ar*os as tried at physio at the QE. Will be delivered on the 9th so I have time to make room for it.

On our way home from her Nan's we drove to Burntwood where Stephen Sutton lived. Cried my eyes out at the sight of all the yellow ribbons and the way the children have adorned the gate of his school in his memory with T shirts and yellow ribbons.

I intend to go to the Cathedral at Lichfield next week to thank him for what he has done for children and young people like Lucy.

Thank you all very much for your support and reassurance about her exams and the weight gain (the build-ups are ok-ish aren't they Elizabeth), keeping your germs away (;) ) and well just for being your usual kind wonderful forum friends.

    sniff sniff

    Love

    Toni xxx

    Hello Hileena :D

Doing your bit for Arthritis is good and thank you for continuing to pray for Lucy. We still need those prayers :)

I had no idea at the beginning how long a haul this is :(

I hope the family are doing ok?

Today we are hoping to take Lucy out to David Austen Roses place at Albrighton. It's lovely there and they do gorgeous tempting food - YUM :D

Hello Toni...I'm so glad to hear that Lucy has started eating something, ..has you know this will be up and down but up is so good at the min...and the cross trainer is such a good muscle builder with little impact on the joints.. I can only imagine how sad it was to see all the ribbons and T-shirts for Steven...the money he raised I am sure will be put to good use :D ..I include you in my prayers every night... :) and day come to that...take care of yourself in all this ...(((())) xx

I adore David Austen roses. I have one of his books. I wish they had scented the pages though.

I'm glad to see she had scrambled egg and also scampi for tea and a lovely long sleep. This is all positive news.

Glad you have managed to purchase a cross trainer. Absolutely anything that helps her is a must. I'm sure you'll find a space for it somewhere.

congratulations to your relative of 102 and that you got a lovely picture of them together.

Take care and hope she continues to keeps her strength up.

Good news that Lucy has been able to eat a fair bit and she has had a good long sleep. I haven't heard of the roses but it sounds wonderful. Hope Lucy keeps this up.

So pleased Lucy is managing to eat some food, the build ups are a good idea to supplement her loss of appetite. I pleased you all managed to go and visit relatives, Wow 102! What an amazing age to reach and still going! I hope you enjoyed Dave Austen Roses, did Lucy have some yummy food and did you enjoy it Toni?
I can imagine seeing all the flowers and tributes to Stephen are more emotional than seeing them on telly, he was an amazing young man for doing what he did raising all that money while battling his own illness. I'm sure the money will keep pouring in now he has passed.
Toni you & your family are so strong and how ever long it takes for Lucy to beat this horrible evil disease we will all be here to support you all and be the glue to keep you all strong.
Sending you all big (())'s & Arnie & Willow send daisycat purrs. x

Hi Toni I hope you are able to attend the vigil for Stephen at Lichfield as planned. Its so moving looking at the pictures let alone seeing them in the flesh.

Hope Lucy is managing to rest and gain a little weight.

    Best wishes
    Elizabeth xx
