Good Morning everyone
Thank you to Joan, Elizabeth, Marie, Frogmella, Barbara, Christine, Toady, Stickywicket, Tony, DD and anyone else I forgot by mistake
Yes it has been a mixed week. Not had to go in too often luckily although Lucy has still managed 3 different chemo drugs IV and the 2 pints of blood, which DD mentioned
She is STILL eating and tried to cook us all our evening meal on Thursday managed only 'supervisory duties' in the end, but it was lovely she was interested
Today we are supposed to be meeting in Lichfield with a member of the chemo-crew, but as it's still raining I am thinking of an indoor venue instead.
Tony I am so looking forward to getting my car! I can't remember whether I said, but I chose gunmetal grey metallic??? with red interior!! Hileena has one too. White is lovely, but I am not the best (a bit like yourself ) at cleaning cars
My micra has now had it's gearbox fixed and a bolt on a Nissan recall too. Next week it is having it's bumps knocked out (from Tia and Charley's driving lessons!!) ready for it's retirement with my MIL
Sadly my sister is now back in Scotland, but it was lovely to see her even if only for a week.
Next week is two more chemos and then Lucy has a LONG break until early August apart from blood tests and blood products no doubt. I have her rota until the end of August thanks to the lovely Dr Tim
Love to you all

Good Morning everyone
We had a lovely time with Lucy's friend and I chatted to her Mum who is a lovely woman!
She suggested we nip over to Wales for the day while Lucy has her break to meet up with another Mum whose daughter died earlier this year so we'll do that for definite.
Barbara she is a star isn't she doing her best to get on with life where possible. She's managing to stay downstairs in the evening a bit now too to watch Big Brother with us
Joan it poured down!!! but we went into a 'posh pub' for some food. We hope you are having a good weekend too
Lorri - thank you for your kind thoughts - this must have shocked you. Lucy was diagnosed with acute Lymphoblastic leukaemia in January after fainting in Primark!! Bless her she had just had her 16th birthday and is being treated at the QE where Stephen Sutton was. Everyone on here has been wonderful....so supportive it's enough to make you cry - it has many times too
Christine and Lucy is still eating!!! had a baked spud with lunch and Mexican for tea. Then half a jar of chocolate spread!!!
Today we have no real plans, but we will find plenty to do I expect. The air con unit is fabulous and keeps the room lovely and cool for her.
Love and thanks

Thanks for the update, frog. You must be very busy so it's not expected but very welcome, especially when it's good news
I'm so glad Lucy's managing to eat better. I hope you both have a lovely break when it comes. If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

A trip to Wales sounds like a good idea. Sounds as if Lucy is gradually eating more and getting a bit more energy. And nothing wrong with chocolate spread.Christine0

Glad to hear Lucy is still managing to eat, that's good she will have a good break soon, she is such a wee trooper and for that matter so is her mum. Let's hope this is the start of the way up, lots of love....................Marie xxSmile a while and while you smile
