Toni she looks absolutely gorgeous! That is one of the prettiest dresses I've seen, what a great choice. I love the little flower band round her wrist too.
So pleased she was able to make it. It must have been touch and go.

It really was Elizabeth, but she made it!!!
She has been 'collecting' her jewellery for months and months and other accessories too.
You reminded me the florist wants a piccie of her corsage
DD the prom did make up for it a lot - I think I felt a bit like mother of the bride!!!!
Lucy ate very well yesterday thanks to you and Christine for asking
tissues Christine
love to you all

I'm still grinning like a loon about the whole thing. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Me too. Whenever I think of it. She is so impressive every which way.If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Oh frog that's all so fantastic, the day, the dress, the jewellery, just the way she looks in it all, the mushrooms on toast, the whole thing
Have to say I have never looked within a MILE of that good, at ANY age, in ANY state of health. What an accomplishment in the circumstances.. just incredible. I was subconsciously holding my breath it would all go off well, so it's just fab to hear that it was a happy day for her and nothing spoiled it for her. xx to you all.
Oh and description of shoes please.
Well done in spades. x0 -

Joan I felt exactly the same as you did, so very very proud of her
I must have done something right
Toady I am sure you looked good and still do!! Shoes were 'only' 3" (she had wanted 5!!!) and were totally sparkly like courts
Stickywicket and DD I too still have a permanent smile on my face. Better than the miserable one I've had all year!!!
Today Lucy wants to venture out to see the male person in Lichfield. Suggested they sit in Mcd's or something like that and not overdo it.
Anyone know how to get fake tan out of a gorgeous dress???
love
Toni xxx0 -
Frog, you did, and continue to do, one hull (sic) of a lot right. You have been more than entitles to a miserable face but, if some of that sparkle off Lucy's dress has lit up your fizzog, that is wonderful
I, too, hope she doesn't overdo things. She's a very mature young lass but still very young. My fingers will be crossed all day.
Fake tan? Sorry. In all the posts you've read of mine, do I sound like someone who would know the first thing about fake tan I guess much might depend on how the dress material itself can be treated. Are laundries any good at that sort of thing? If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Apparently baby wipes can solve all manner of marks and stains.
I wouldn't mind going for a MaccyDs today but I can't see 'im indoors agreeing. Sometimes I think he's forgotten how to live. I hope she enjoys it. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0 -

Hello everyone
We have had a very mixed week:
Chemo has recommenced and so far caused only extra tiredness - no nausea so I think the new anti emetics are holding
My sister is down form Scotland and is making us all laugh
Yesterday she came with us for Lucy's chemo and we were stuck in an awful jam on the M6 for more than an hour and a half.
I decided to hit the M5 at earliest available then through Smethwick and on to the POSH houses in Edgbaston. A nice route until my car decided it would not let me go into ANY gear  SOOO scary!!!
Somehow I got us to the QE and called the breakdown who (waited till after chemo) and took us home with my poor car on the truck
Think it will be fairly easy to solve and I know EXACTLY why it happened too :? We ordered my new car last Saturday and my car must have heard
I hope you are all doing well
A quietish weekend planned here with a visit for Lucy from a friend and then a meal out for all of my family including bro and nieces tomorrow
love to you all and thanks
Toni xxx0 -
Hi Toni, that's good news Lucy has no nausea this time.
Not such good news about your car! I hope it's soon sorted. When do you get your new car?
Enjoy your weekend, and the meal out.
Take care
