    Morning all, I am pleased to report that Lucy's picc line is due to be replaced today; they don't last forever so hopefully this will be a positive step forward. The new one is going to be purple. :) DD

    Lucy's temperature has spiked yet again. Apparently if she can go for 48 hours without a spike then the infection will be considered clear; she isn't managing to do that as yet so the 48 hour period has restarted. DD

    Fingers crossed that today will be the day Lucy's temperature will go down so she will be able to go home for the weekend.

    I have received some news and it isn't that wonderful. :( Her temperature is refusing to drop and they have further delayed fitting her new picc line - hopefully it will be done tomorrow. DD

    A brief update. :( The replacement picc could not be done - they tried but it wouldn't co-operate so the plan is this: she will have a general anaesthetic on Tuesday when the picc (or possibly a Hickman line) will be put in. I haven't heard about her temperature, obviously there has been a lot going on today. :( DD

    That is a lot going on :( sorry to read there is no immediate good news but hope all goes well on Tuesday.. what a shame that could not be got round, all the best to frog & Lucy for next week & the very very best for a drop in temp very soon. xx toady

    I admit it's not that easy, Hileena, but Frog is a wonderful woman and Lucy is a gorgeous girl: 'nuff said.

    This situation is way beyond AC's brief but, to my mind, the support they are receiving speaks volumes about the forum.

    I'm so sorry to hear about the hold up with the Picc, Lucy really has had a rubbish week. Hope her temperature has come down at least. Sending Toni & Lucy lots of (())'s.
