    I used to love chocolate spread and chip sandwiches when I was a kid! Disgusting, I know, but actually nice!! :oops:

    A brief update: Lucy had to stay in hospital last night due to being very neutropenic (i.e. extremely prone to infection). :( DD

    Aww bless but at least they can keep an eye on Lucy...Toni there are so many ups and downs you must be shattered..I hope things get on an even keel very soon and you can see the light at the end of the tunnel..it will come...(((())) xx

    Lucy is home and well thank you everyone (DD for updating you are a star :))

    She is eating like there's no tomorrow, but is confined to base Dr's orders until her neuts go up! Safety first eh :)

    I went into town to look for clothes in her new size (6/8) as everything dwarfs her. Took photos in her favourite shop and took advice as to what the young ones are wearing :) Bought a shorts jump-suit on his advice and she loves it!

    Thanks to Marie (she is safely home with me :) ) Barbara - just got this phase before maintenance up to the 2 years which should be much much easier!

    Christine thanks for the hugs she is here with me :) Of course I'm doing too much, but that's what Mums do isn't it ;)

    Thanks to Stickywicket and mig very very much :) all hugs gratefully received

    Frogmella - I liked chocolate spread on toast - and peanut butter too oddly :?

    Toady - who went ;) Steven the bogey-picker thank goodness! Lucy was very pleased :)

    Joan Wales is a lovely place to go to school. I bet you two have fond memories of it :)

    Bubbadog I reckon a trip in the new car would be great, but it doesn't come until Sept 1st. My micra had it's bumps sorted this week too (thanks to two eldest learning to drive ;) ) ready for it's retirement :)

    Ps man in clothes shop says he will open up one Sunday so Lucy can go in and try clothes on :) How kind are people :)

    I am so pleased that she's home, it's the best place to be. Well done on the clothes research :wink: and I'm very happy that she was delighted - now to get her out of it, yes? :lol: How thoughtful and kind of the man to say he'll open, there are some very good people in this world but we don't hear of them too often.     That is really nice of that man in the clothes shop - it restores my faith in humanity.

    Sorry that Lucy had to stay overnight but I am pleased that she is home so soon. It is really good to hear that she is eating well still.

    I still like peanut butter on toast! Gone off chocolate spread though! But not chocolate....

    I hope you have a good week coming up. Hope the ride towards maintenance is smooth for you all. xxx

    Toni the magic of mobiles being able to take pics of clothes and send them to Lucy...so glad she liked the jumpsuit..it will be a nice boost for her..young girls and there clothes :D love to both of you (((())) xx

    technology really does have it's uses.

    Thanks Frogmella he is a lovely chap he knew exactly what was right for her age by what they're all buying. Ok maybe I will have to try peanut butter on toast :?

    DD Lucy is still scoffing beautifully bless her plenty and often. I think it's the steroids, but sadly she is one of the minority who still loose weight :roll:

    So glad Lucy is home even if she is grounded. It's wonderful to hear she is eating so well. I was about to say maybe she will start to put weight on again but you said she won't. She will before too long though. There are some lovely people around, aren't they? Hope Lucy enjoys her trip to the shop. xx

    Hi Christine I will let you all know when Lucy does her shopping trip. It will be like she's a famous person the shop opening just for her!!

    Steak Sunday for her today - her choice :) You're right soon she will start to gain weight :)

    I've just worked out that she's lost 2.25 STONES since November 26th :shock:

    What a lovely shop manager! And, I reckon, a pretty good Mum for going to all that trouble when, if I remember rightly :roll: , she does have arthritis :wink:

    Lots of love to you all. A new wardrobe and steak Sunday - nothing that star doesn't deserve. I hope it's a half cow sized steak. Keep trooping on you amazing lot and give that man in the clothes shop a hug from me. The world needs more stars like that
