So pleased that maintenance starts on Monday. I know it is still not fun but at least you won't be at the hospital anywhere near as much.

Glad you had a good time at the do! It does everyone the world of good to get out and have some fun.

    Thinking of you.

Thank you Frogmella, Joan and Hileena :D

I am getting to be expert aren't l?

It will be lovely to go to the hospital so much less won't it? :)

Imagine that all this started 9 months ago yesterday  Where has the time gone? That first 5 weeks in hospital seemed like 5 years though!!!

Yesterday Lucy had a visit from one of the other kids from the hospital who had lymphoma; started after Lucy and already cured!!

Then we went to her favourite Chinese buffet...before she restarts chemo tomorrow :Dt1933.gif

She ate well. We're on the up I think

Love and thank you for taking the time to read this

That sounds much better. As you say, still a long haul but well on the way now. Glad you enjoyed the do and the girls won some prizes. Hope your throat gets better quickly.

I'm pleased your lovely lass has now progressed to 'maintenance' but what maintenance :o Quite a responsibility for all concerned but at least the right family to ensure all goes as smoothly as possible. It certainly seems to be going well so far and, as for the vineyard vouchers... :D .Auntie SW will be delighted to offer any support needed on that project  though I guess there's already a long queue. (SW walks away, sighing wistfully  )

So, our lovely lass is going to be a movie star? Remembering her in her prom outfit, she'll be an absolute stunner.

I imagine seeing her friend cured of lymphoma would be encouraging if a little envy-making. However, different types of cancers take different lengths of time. I'm now fully aware that my breast cancer was 'cancer lite' and I've nothing but admiration for young Lucy and her stamina.

As for that new superstar - 'the masked Mum', I hope it's a brief, early season cold and you still have lots of Vit C left from summer with which to fight it. Mums need rest too, though, so I hope you can get some - rest, that is

    Love to all. ((()))

I've read back a couple of pages and my eyes are leaking. If anyone can inspire then it's your girl - and I have no doubt she will. I cannot begin to grasp the effect of the past nine months on you and your family but rest assured will be here for the duration. ((( ))) I sincerely hope that you are OK, Toni, and that the lack of voice is due to over-use and not a bug.

So, phase two here we come. :D 'Tis veritable progress, no? DD

Things have been quiet on the communication front, probably because Toni is not too bonny at the moment. :( I am sure, however, that the maintenance will be organised (I have visions of multi-coloured wall charts all over the kitchen walls!) and, hopefully, going well. DD

Frog has been to the GPs, she has a bacterial throat infection :( so has anti-biotics to take. She and Lucy are looking after each other at whilst seated at opposite ends of the sofa. DD

Just what was not needed. I hope the antibios work quickly. I had been thinking that the lack of voice could be no ordinary sore throat / cold as it was persisting for too long. (((()))) to both. (I am wearing my protective gear as I'm off to have my flu jab  )

    Aw thank you all

Thanks to DD for updating and to Stickywicket (for kindly offering to help with the wine voucher!!) Joan, Hileena, Chrsitine, Barbara, Toady (Bear is called Spencer) and Bubbadog

I am much better now - the antibiotics are doing their job and I am on the mend (apart from antibiotic dire-horrors..runs  )

Lucy was actually hobbling into the kitchen and putting water in the fridge for my throat bless her!! I helped lots :)

I just sat next to her with my mask on

To be fair I did expect for it to 'catch up on me' after the stress of the last 9 months.

My extra hygiene precautions seem to have done the trick and Lucy hasn't caught the bug thank goodness :D

Blimey maintenance requires brain-cells of which I have, but few

Think I got everything done on time and in the right order. On Monday she will have bloods to check whether her body is coping with the chemos.

Honestly she is a star. She had her MTX Weds night. Thursday morning I sneaked in to her early with the steroids and she woke up as normal. No extra nausea! I think she must have got immune after the quantities she's had IV before :?

You know I read each and every message on so appreciate them... p020.gif

    Love

Thank God for antibiotics - and indoor plumbing  I'm so glad they seem to be working but no heroics, please. I'm sure you're right in your assessment that your body, having taken multiple knocks since January, finally decided it was its turn to have a rest and a bit of tlc. And w ho could blame it?

So, nurse Lucy has been doing her bit to help. That girl is a real chip off the old block.

It sounds as if all your extra hygiene precautions have paid off. Well done to both of you! I think you should write a combined book when this is all over Luminary Lucy and the Masked Mum maybe

KBO frog. You're both doing great.
