NSAID and Covid.
So on Saturday I got the dreaded positive test result from the lab (despite having both jabs). And I also had a steroid joint injection 3 days before my positive result so hope that doesn’t complicate things. Now on day 3 of Covid and so far it is just like a head cold with sore head, stuffy nose, sneezing. Hopefully it stays that’s way!!
I skipped my methotrexate injection at the weekend after getting my positive result.
My question is this. If pain becomes bad as I’ll have to skip at least the next methotrexate dose as well, am I ok to take naproxen? I know at the beginning of Covid we were told not to take NSAIDs but has this advice been rescinded or are NSAIDs still contra-indicated in Covid patients??
Thanks
Paul

I'm afraid I'm not a medical professional - your GP or surgery may be able to answer more definitely.
However, on our Covid information page, Naproxen is not listed as a medication which can hurt your immune system. Do have a look for yourself:
In addition the NHS says that there is no link between NSAIDs making Covid worse. Have a look here:
I do hope this helps!
