    Hi Cris

Hope you managed to get a good long hot shower. Please take care of those cuts on your hands and put some antiseptic ointment on them.. they sound sooo painful..

Hope you can get some rest tonight Cris.

Wish I was nearer to help you .

    Love from Marion x

    Hi Cris,
Good for you giving the owner a flea in his ear. Make sure he does all the repairs while he is contrite. That includes getting the water pump going and lagged for the winter. Does he own the cattle as well?
It is not going to help with all the churning of the muddy field. Please be careful when out and about or you might be having a mud bath yourself. The last thing you need is to go flying.
Oh Cris, your poor hands. I hope they can sort you out tomorrow.
I do hope that you are settled in for the night and keeping warm.
Sending you a bucket full of hugs and fortitude.

    hi Marion, I and Chris,

ah heat...makes such a difference to be warm...... its been that horrid damp type cold of late and the swamp thing makes your feet permanently cold..... hey they advised me once to move to a warm climate... i came home :lol: one of the dampest places you to go to......:lol:

the lumber is coming back to life... its an old advisory and me and it seriously hate each other... i wish it would shut up but ....

the shoulder and neck are still numb... i can live with numb but am sure the swelling and numbness is transient and it will kick back soon....

when it does i shall be out  like living with a teenager eh? used to be some tantrum throwing child but i can throw as good back :lol:

you 3 take good care and leaving you a hope for better tomorrows. hugs and love Cris...

oh Chris industrial strength is brilliant and just about what i need.... xx

    hi Lynn,

i did go off on one.... big time and he did see his grazing slipping away :lol: it was just too much but it has been since the fields and barns flooded.... the whole thing is to some degree just now..... its getting a frost now so that will help to clear the nearer swamp... the one that's claimed the trailer.. well that's going to be very difficult in so many ways

thanks for the roses.... i shall offer them to Iris cus well i did nick hers but the cdm.... i just might keep

i got one of each variety of the one beginning with an h.... so can trade bornvil cus i am not keen on them :lol:

spring isn't too far away but you be careful there cus we don't get the kind of weather you lot do.

stay warm flower and the numbness is now giving way to pins and needles so i guess its coming back to life.....

love and a [[[]]]] and of course the bornvil  cris xxx

    Hi Cris,

Our bones don't like the cold - but you do need some frost to help with the whole mud, swamp, water everywhere situation. Hopefully with less lodgers you can spend more time inside and keeping warm and leave the clean up for when the weather is improved and you are feeling rested.

it is shocking when people don't offer a hand/help out - especially when we have helped them and it takes us more super human effort to do so than it does them.

Capitalise on the owner being contrite to get some fence repairs done etc.

When you are feeling down keep thinking of him chasing that sheep :lol: and then how easily you persuaded it to get into the trailer. :D

I have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.

Hi Julie, Toni, Berty, Speedy, DD and Louise,

one handed still i am afraid.... the left arm isn't working right but its still all a mix of numbness and pins and needles.... the nurse called the doc in cus of the swelling and she said ts something i got to stop doing and if it doesn't calm down in a few days go back as tests might be needed... i think its like my lumber and will just well if upset and go numb then hurt like hell and then just do the usual hurting thing....

    we shall see eh....

i kinda taken it easier this afternoon onwards.... except the hay and the sheep but that's the usual and doesn't really count does it

torrential rain coming home..just what was needed especially as the swamp is beginning to dry out a bit.... hey Louise coming up the big hill by the fat food place there was a bit of sleet. lets hope its not like last year cus that's rough.... i know the u country folk get a lot worse.

haven't got so cold today and that's helped.... the 2 escapees are gone and 2 others cus they both had foals at foot...its made a difference it really has but i would like them all gone really.

well i shall not armchair it for sure... the swelling will see to that cus i can't get comfortable with it in a chair.... some good come of it then.

someone please give me a hand to pull the boots off please  i keep getting cramp when i try...... they are good boots but easier to put on than take off... Toni your young-un can verify that eh :lol::lol:

you all take care and i shall take it a lot easier tomorrow...got to see if i can get some of this swelling out the neck cus its not good...... oh master of understatement there eh.... []'s to you all and love Cris xx

    HI Cris,

sorry to hear you still having trouble :(

Can i borrow your R arm and you can borrow my left one
As my R arm is giving me hell! You will be able to manage your boots then

Look after yourself and keep warm did you see my tip for the use of old sox? Cut off toe , pull over offending arm, elbow fits in heel part , helps to keep warm and give a bit of support :D

    hi rose,

hey that would still give s both one duff arm..... just a different one :lol: tell you what you have my right one that's still working and i will have your left one instead so you got 2 reasonable ones and i got the others.... have i got that right......

rain, freezing rain and ice, more torrential rain and yet more rain with hail and mud oh rose so much mud....

i didn't see the sox thing but will try it cus he has taken the toe out of some and they would still have a use there then eh...... maybe he read it and was trying to help... thats what he said anyway but i think its doubtful somehow......

hope your doing ok and leaving you a Moon rise with fog 3' deep over the fields... very beautiful though a bit erie i guess. [[]] and a hope your doing ok? Cris xxx

Morning skezier, are hyou up to your armpits in snow? Or mud? I don't think either would be the preferred choice but I guess the snow might just be the better option. Blasted weather. Let's all move to Greece! We could establish an AC compound/colony, complete with ark for the more animal-minded members of the tribe, and live on Greek salad and retsina. Cor! Sunshine, blue sky, inviting seas, olives galore. Kali mera! DD

And lithe young Greek men. PWHOAR!

    hi DD,

does it have to be Greece though

yep both a bit of snow and a huge quantity of mud..... which is better... my moneys on neither actually :lol: its horrible right out side the door and this place well as ever we don't get snow but if its about it will visit here but not last long......

my plan is to weld to this fire till i stop shivering, get the girls done early and weld back to the fire.....

not helped by feeling ill and the neck woke me in paralyzed mode for a bit last night so i guess its coming back to life..... i kinda wish it wouldn't but the shoulder is dropped down and the arm is useless and its not hurting as much as it will if hat lot doesn't come back up before it truly wears off......:lol:

hope your doing ok and its a heat wave up there  just been speaking to a mate who tells me it is where they are... yeah and i am the tooth fairy :!: :lol:

you stay warm and take care. [[[[]]]] Cris xx

    Hi Cris.
as you have so much mud you could have a mud bath
it would be cold and i'm not sure it would help your arm and other pain you have.
my other dog loved it i know you are not a dog.
    take care and keep warm.

Oh skezier, what are we going to do with you? I hope you are welded to the fire now, and can stay there. I know the neck has to unfreeze and I know that will hurt - best to get it over and done with, eh? It isn't warm here, nor snowing - tho the weather girl said it would by 2pm. She fibbed. I hope it holds off - Mr DD has to drive home from Norfolk tonight, very very late: he is a cr*p driver at the best of times and the thought of him doing a ton on the Diss by-pass whilst it pours with snow is not pleasant.

    hi Joan,

hows it going? i hope you and Sue are doing ok and its warn enough for you both indoors?

oh flower been over in the mud and it don't help... promise :lol::lol: i am a bit of a mud monster but slipper boy loves it! he is the original swamp dwelling mud creature who had it up to his armpits and undercarriage  he never changes his clothes either......

you stay safe and warm [[[]]] and love to you both. Cris xxx

    hi DD,

oh its too yellow there... i need grass and granite :lol::lol: got granite here.... but.... its about 6' down or more and on top of it is a layer of subsoil almost exclusively clay and then 18" of top soil that is now becoming almost that deep swamp....... its horrible and right outside the door.....

its half frozen, its boggy and its doing my head in :lol::lol::lol:

the neck is hurting now DD i mean hurting so pay back is coming..... its worse when your cold cus you can't help but hunch up but sat here beside the stove, which isn't working as well as it should so i will have to dismantle it and try to get it hotter...... in a body warmer and a fleece as well as the obligatory shirt and tea shirt.... still a bit cold but have been out doubling up as a horse whispering sheep dog

2 have gone now and the rest are on their way :D

hope Mr DD will get home safely..... its not too good on the lanes here, i slide like a mental thing down one last night... mind since the floods its got 3 springs in it and so much water it was silly to not think and go a different way eh?! i really am a slow learner......

hope the snow doesn't arrive. just had a smattering here first thing but DD the wind is cold and i been out too log so might just go cuddle the boiler :lol::lol:[]'s and a check o the bucket and sending you a make DD better draft as well as some stay warm and a few frost damaged dandelions... but... you got to share them with Iris! love a struggling pain wracked cheesed off swamp dweller sometimes called Cris xx

    hi Julie,

thanks for the coffee and bun... just what i needed :D

the lodgers are down to 4 big ones and 2 foals and its getting easier now...... i am planing to get the sheep done early and since Chris has the bull it might be easier... [ he is really getting intimidating.....] and with luck shall get to follow a gritter up the a30

leaving you a bit of saffron and cream and that's abut as good as it gets :D:D:D and a [[[]]] as well as some leg healing drafts that i so hope will work. love Cris xx

It's sleeting and now snowing here, and very, very cold, I thought too cold to snow but its proving me wrong! Right, so we want somewhere warm and granity, ummmmm . . . . . . . . get back to you on that one! Lithe young men tho are ESSENTIAL. 'DD:The Cougar Years' is just waiting to be written! :D

Do you have a lovely warm scarf you can wrap round your neck? Something mohair-or-fleece-based, or even both! Keep swigging the builders to give heat from within, and stay ahead of the pain as much as you can. Thinking of you. Have some love too. DD

    hi DD,

yep got 2 scarves, one i wear all the time and the other comes up over my head... i also got and wear hoodies :lol: like the music too.... can't hear the noise that meant to keep them at bay though :lol: some advantage to age eh?:lol:

just had a call and that's cheered me up... we are going for the diy laminectomy, cortisone jabs and then a bit of bull castration.....:lol::lol:

oh wish but have got cortisone in the fridge...... doesn't seem to hep the sheep too much but she is less lame and i am just unable to play spin the sheep just ow.... thank god that's not back fired!

DD i really hope the snow sods off there soon.... its a two week thing they say  if the lodgers go it just eaves me the sheep and they are my pride and joy so never as hard as they might be :D

i am really struggling just now.... its hard to get the legs working, you can't sleep well and once you wake up you cant move for a bit with the pain hitting that top level of almost pass out..... so thanks flower for the support you constantly give. its much appreciated and not just by me!

right... heat and granite..... and the call of my roots means i kinda difficult to relocate :lol: but some spike look a likes and trust me i will be there :lol::lol:[[[]]] and love Cris xxx
