That’s annoying about the shopping coming early when you the ankle problem

The highlight of the day was a very nice veggie burger for me

    Sis is slowly getting better

Apparently enjoying a well - timed parcel delivery is part of the joys of being British, hmm, I’m not sure how many rainbow popsicles the author has consumed lol

    Sorry getting a bit hackered

Have a good night toady tc xx

Ps in case you run out of eggs / egg substitute haha xx

👋good night also to Jojo Joan SK and S knee x

Morning Joan how are you and Pepper? The motorhome is ready to go apart from adding any food when my shop arrives tomorrow😊 We got plenty of sun in the end and the same already today take care ((())) xxx

Morning Skinny Keef yes we do really really miss our anti-inflams I want mine desperately😟 I think that's it. Can you risk the odd one or even the mildest there is? I am banned again completely asked the GP last time I went. Overdid it yesterday too getting the motorhome ready for our trip to France🙄

It is I think Father's Day the same as where it goes in Mother's day. Singular possessive. Interesting isn't it?

Your mug sounds lovely you will certainly enjoy your coffee in that bless little Sucré I bet he loved that it was Father's day.

Take care Keef have a good steady day ((())) xxx

Morning Jojo I am so sorry working is taking so much out of you. Will it be long now before you see someone? It feels like ages since your Dr said you could. Kids back to school today I hope that wasn't too much of a battle with your daughter this morning. Take care and have the best day you can ((())) xxx

Morning Reshmi how are you today? Hope your Mum's bs is ok now and stayed ok after that blip? Dentist appt needs booking today i am sure she is more sensible than your dad in that respect.

Lovely some time to yourself exactly what you needed I am sure you made the most of it.

Right now I'd put myself in the pot! I managed to lose my fitbit yesterday cleaning and packing the motorhome ready for France😠

The wedding was lovely yes thanks (all bird poo gone in time!) and so was the weather if a bit windy. Today looks sunny and still could be hot later. At least we have aircon in the motorhome we will need it for certain. Shame about not being able to have a Bill Bryson for yourself.

I would love a rainbow 'popsicle' too in this heat I had a little moon last night it was yum! and cooooool🤗 BR can wrap everyone around his little finger that boy!

Pusskin is not hiding his annoyed face at all well😁

    Take care ((())) xxx

Morning Toady I've lost my new fitbit!!!!! I really have (misplaced my mum would say, but actually it's fallen off). Blue tooth tracker app says it's in the motorhome which I spent all day yesterday cleaning and packing so no doubt true. Original fitbit is on charge for now glad l kept it.🙄

Elfie's clothes are now safely on board ready to go. He tried to find my fitbit last night apparently without success so far no doubt it will turn up. How did you know he has both the i-spy book of tractors and trucks!

Well done getting most of your shop shame some is discontinued though. Tomorrow for me after that we buy in France especially the bread😋and the cherry squash l love it and will bring some home too.

Your poor ankle though😕I am sure you are doing your best to stay off it and are elevating whenever you can. Sleek is quite keen to watch 'Kate' on BBC I-player and has cake.

My loo had the motorhome toilet cassette under the sink😣

Hope your day is good ((())) xxx

Stuart I am so sorry you are suffering so much hope your appt is soon too I was saying the same to Jojo. Sit yourself in the sun this afternoon (factor 50 lotion) and have a rest ((())) xxx

And got home at 9:10 am so didn't take long and nice quiet walk hardly any other dogs mine and my dogs kind of walk. I hope you are well and I hope you have a great day.

    good afternoon Toni

    How are you?

Mums ok now thanks but she had another high blood sugar situation early morning unfortunately

Dad helped her because he was awake but he was extremely nasty to her later on, as if it were her fault, he’s really become so evil these days

on a more positive note, my mum said her toothache is improving, she doesn’t need a dentist appointment just yet thanks 👍

With my Scatty brain I will probably forget, but I just wanted to ask. When are you going to France for your holiday?

    Don’t worry everyone loses things

“The shrine to my sister” as I call the relatively cold room, is so cluttered with things that I’m temporarily losing things all the time lol

yes you’re right there, Mum is very sensible about medical appointments, in fact she’s so tough she will ring and she will book a doctor‘s appointment no matter how ill she is more or less, it’s frustrating. Sometimes she should let me help her

That’s good about the Aircon in the motorhome

Nasty heat today isn’t it today? At least it is here in “Reading on the Roaring Volcano” lol

Yes we could all do with a Tantrum Treat, a Children’s Choc Ice, a glorious gold and frozen fruit juice pot at the end of Reading- based granny’s rainbow - or something like that 😂😂

Yes a few hours of mima - time was great thanks, i wish it could happen more often really

Have a good afternoon Toni tc xx

👋toady Joan Jojo SK and S knee x

Ps bills bought a plant lol xx

    Sorry I’m extra crackered today

    Not sure why

And the sweaty nasty weather of course continues

    Bit of backache too

I have a blood test tomorrow at 4 pm

What sort of time is that?
    outrageous

It reminds me of when they offered me a Christmas Eve blood test lol

    What’s next? A New Year’s Day MRI?

Have as a good night as possible in this heat everyone tc xx

    1am cuppa.
seeing my back lady as Sucré calls her again later today. Gonna try the acupuncture again, although last time it invoked a massive immune response so gotta be careful.
Nif’s birthday today so Sucré was bouncing off the walls with excitement earlier. I bought her a caterpilla birthday cake which he thought was amazing and he couldn’t wait to open and devour.

My diy project was a very small screen for the Beemer race bike and I fitted it and tried it yesterday. From my experience with sports bikes with no fairings or naked bikes as they tend to be called, I know the smallest screen addition makes a huge difference amd when the raced my bike the factory Beemers had a small front screen to take the wind blast off the riders and was also used as a number board to display the race number.
I ordered a blank piece of acrylic cut to size and one of those bendy measuring things for doing tiling around door frames and a big block of balsa wood and a chisel amd mallet. I took a profile of the front of the bike and got Anda to cut a card template as I am useless with scissors, and then very slowly over a few days chiselled the balsa wood into a 3d form to match the 2d profile. Then after much facetube viewing on the subject of bending acrylic I borrowed my fil’s heat gun and tried not too set myself on fire bending the would be screen on the wooden form. I was very surprised to say it worked first time, and only needed slight tweaking. The acrylic did lose some of its optical see through without distortioness so I wrapped it in carbon fibre wrap to match the rest of the bikes bodywork. When I rode to Niff’s on the bike 70mph is now not trying to rip my head off or work out my skinny abbs so they burn after 5 minutes so I am very happy and it doesn’t detract from the lines of the bike either. Just waiting for my graphics to arrive from the printers and I will post pics.

The last few projects I have tried have all failed, mostly due to lack of enthusiasm due to being in too much pain, but this one was very important to me so I just did a little bit each day. Much better way of doing things, plenty of tea breaks lol.

    Skinny Keef Member Posts: 1,375

oh and i forgot to say I only made it myself because the race screen is no longer available from BMW, if it was I would have just bought that, but mine is probably better 😁

Morning Joan definitely Charlie needed to leave a key with you I am sure this isn't the first time he's lost it! Hope you are well and Pepper too. Do you think your jab in your back helped? Nice pic of your Rose it's coming along beautifully ((())) xxx

Morning Jojo well done you going for that walk you did great I bet you felt so much better for that mentally. 4th July American independence day i ought to be able to remember that! Not too long at all time for you to sit down and write nice and succinctly exactly what is going on with you. What is happening, when, for how long, the tiredness all of it so you can communicate quickly with the consultant. Can you take anti-inflams? If so you could ahve tried one of those when you weren't sure if you'd taken your cocos. ((())) xxx

Morning Stuart yes go private if you can afford to. An initial consult is usually about £200 if you ask Skinny Keef he is more up to date than me on prices. You will probably get your appt within a couple of three weeks.

Your Mum is on good stuff there sulfa and Lef should keep things stable for her. It's very important the consultant knows about her because it's relevant to you getting your diagnosis.

Well done getting your toms fed at least. Hope you had a rest in the sun too ((())) xxx

Morning Skinny Keef Happy belated birthday to Niff

    image.png

You kept your project well under wraps there! No wonder you have been suspiciously quiet lately! What a fantastic and ambitious idea and you only went and dun it too!!!! I am so impressed and can't wait to see the photos once it's looking as good as you want it too.

I bet it makes a difference to riding the bike it will be way more comfortable for sure. 👏 and a certain little boy can see from his Daddy that he can do anything he sets his mind to too.😊

    Take care ((())) xxx

Morning Reshmi. Gosh that was a hot night even having used the little aircon before bed. All windows are open now cooling the house down and it's working well.

High bs? I don't like that😕 naughty BB being mean to your Mum later on because it put him out😠 Like it's her fault!

We are off to France in the motorhome the 'real' aircon in there is phenomenal I love it and am going to need it the temps are already in the 30's help!!!! Can't be too pleasant for you scorching outside and inside your house atm. Exhausting.

Good luck with your blood test. 4pm is a bit much still best done and dusted. I had to have mine early due to going away. Such is life. Hope the results are good.

Shall we throw a tantrum for a treat? Mine's a vegan choc ice please a 'have some' will do nicely. I don't think I want a cutting off BIL's houseplants though if you don't mind.

Off to France on our road trip to Provence tomorrow😮 Take care ((())) xxx

Morning Toady I heard all about your day from Sleek she reckons it was 'non-stop rakit' quite spoilt your TV and cake. Guess what nearly happened? I had put my order in for tomorrow instead of today! I won't even be in the country! Well maybe in Folkestone, but you know. Luckily l spotted it in time and changed it. Now they don't have my soya milk, but I can get sans sucre en France so will cope.

Elfie is all packed and so far hasn't found new fitbit so wearing 'old' fitbit again!

Take care Sleek is en route avec ear plugs each! ((())) xxx

Stuart, initial consults are about £200 think mine was £220. Follow ups are about £160 - £200.
Any tests are extra, and if equipment is used that is reusable like cameras etc you will be charged for their use/cleaning.
Blood tests can still be done on NHS if you get a shared care agreement between your consultant and GP.

My diagnosis cost me about £2500 - £3000 over 6 months and follow ups are costing about £200 every 2 months.

If I had not self referred I would not have got a diagnosis as my GP was very dismissive.
