Afternoon all 👋 gone 2 o'clock already 😮 mind you I'm meant to be relaxing not doing stuff so I shouldn't be clock watching either.

Yes I think a week minimum of payback for busy time frog, I was dreaming of the boilerman last night 😕 so I think it will need to be quite the 'reset' 😬. Did a bit outdoors myself yesterday evening & will see what today's like, sorry yours was limited. The weather does look ok for a little bit, if it will just keep its word 🤞 after that not so nice. Yes I bet you there are indeed new season's xmas cards (not looking! 😱), the hallowe'en stuff is everywhere, absolutely stacks of it in 'the shop' well known for having lots, no wonder I couldn't find much to buy myself last time, it was a bit like Henry Ford, anything you like as long as it's black (or orange or got a spider on it) 😄. I know we all say it but things are ridiculously early in the shops never used to be this bad, the back to school signs in windows used to give me the utter horrors, now they are trying to sell you uniforms etc before the poor things have broken up 🙄. Elfie is doing well there, and doesn't he look focussed, and quiet 😀 that looks a good puzzle. My little one is a Wad*ingtons, pic of the sort of thing below. I nearly came unstuck on the dominoes this morning, til I realised I'd read a 'greater than' symbols as a 'less than', I was quite relieved I couldn't work out why I'd become hopeless at it overnight! Hello Joan, I see about Brenda, yes no reason for her not to keep on working if she hasn't taken on too much 👍️. Thank you I am trying to remember the bank hol, I don't think it will interfere with too much I have made sure I've got prescriptions in etc, mind you it feels like Sunday to me today so I may well just get the days mixed up. The shops hardly seem to shut though do they 🤷‍♀️. Hope you have a good weekend and I hope Treacle is going on ok and Charlie doesn't have to taker her again, or not over the weekend at least 🤞😘 xx

Hi bosh, great poem 🐟️🤭 very funny and so many neat little references. Sorry to hear about the self-inviting relatives 😬 yes not quite the tip-top etiquette, I hope them coming over the weekend works out as well as poss, it's still quite short notice for your mum for catering etc. Hopefully you can indeed have some simple food, it would be pretty ironic if one minute family is helping itself from your plate and the next minute people are trying to put unwanted things onto it! Where to eat cake, well that is the question, aside of the midst of a Revolution. Maybe there was some confusion between never run in the corridors (the school classic) and never eat a bun in the corridors? 😄. A clinic at my GP nurse once recommended cake to put weight on, so for me the answer may indeed be eat it right there in front of the nurse 🤷‍♀️. In other news I am currently trying to revive an old faux leather handbag with hair conditioner, would the HD approve, or be horrified? Best not ask 😂. Sorry your friend had internet issues, that's a shame 😔. Hope your weekend goes as well as poss, take care :) xx edit: just seen the doughnuts, yes I second that 😂

But of course at least hormonal issues are less at this time

The guests behaved yesterday but I remember last time my cousins girlfriend came, she demanded alcohol from me, I said, “ Sorry no one really drinks in this house, we don’t have any”. Oh dear 😱

She wasn’t pleased of course, but it was an odd request (well order, more like) especially as the occasion was a family religious ceremony for LA - a bit like a christening.

Ok so wasn’t of Indian or Hindu origin, so she might’ve been confused as to what was appropriate I guess, but ordering someone to fetch them an alcoholic drink like that, oh dear, that’s manners as taught by the Nasty M Finishing School haha

we had a kind of meringue- based dessert (shop bought), not too much cream, so my stomach coped - thank you again for your gastric prayerful negotiations on my behalf

Yes avocados can be yummy, but i agree wasting a leg razor to shave one may be a bit unorthodox haha
