Psoriatic arthritis
Hi 👋 it's been a while since I've posted. I wanted to ask about nails. I used to have strong long fingernails but recently cut the shorter due to them becoming brittle and crumbling. My thumbnail has started to become discoloured with thickening and vertical ridges. I was wondering whether there is anything I can do to…

Words of encouragement
"As we embark on the labyrinthine paths of pain, let us first acknowledge the intricate tapestry of our shared experiences. To those recently diagnosed, stepping into the unknown, know that amidst the uncertainty, there exists a beacon of hope. For those awaiting the embrace of surgical hands, may each heartbeat echo the…

What's the point?

Hand issues

Before I go calling the doctors again, I'm just wondering if this is yet another arthritic issue, or whether it could be carpal tunnel? I have arthritis in my hips, knees and shoulder apparently (personally I think there is something else going on,…

The time has wheely come
The time has come, I think, to use my wheelchair as a matter of course rather than just long family days out. I have, among many other things, tricompartmental OA of both knees as well as pseudogout, and they are incredibly painful, but I manage with crutches, stubbornness, and a healthy dose of swearing under my breath.…
