    hi cris,what do you expect from a bedfordian with an essex girl as a mother :wink: then i moved further up north & struggled to understand a word up here.
    but they all thought i was a londoner & they didnt have a clue where bedford was.(60 mile up the m1)here its a cob,down in bedford a roll.
    when i ran the pub some1 asked for a cob(thought that was some1 that was moody, got a cob on)so i said you mean a roll as they point to the back of the bar,they said ''only if you want 1 in the grass'' :shock:
    oh dear i kept quiet for a bit. :oops:

    Is the cafe open 24 hours :?: It's a bit late now, and I'm sitting in bed, but I would love a cup of tea and some banana cake. I'm sure it would help me to sleep.

    Hi girls

    Sorry I did'nt bake last night was not too good.

    Anyway, it's my birthday today( honestly), and I thought i would make a birthday cake to share with my new friends.

    I've made one with fruit in it and marzipan and icing.The other is an iced one made of sponge and fresh cream and jam inside.

    I have also made my date and walnut cakes and cream horns. They are made with flaky pastry and fresh cream inside hmmm Just tasted one

    Try these out they are like sausage rolls but t've put a little bit of stuffing in them to give them a bit more flavour.

    I've got all the ingredients I'm going to start to make my Christmas puddings and Christmas cakes.

    Any of you ladies who work or just don't get time to make them I will make them for you.

    Incase you are in a hurry I've dones some. Welsh Rarebit it only needs heating up.

    I bought one of those spining wheels like the one's they use for hamsters, so if we catch the mouse we can put him in there for excercise.

    I've left some money for my Ovaltine in the usual place

    If I'm treading on anyone's toes let me know.

    Have come into the cafe for my lunch - egg and chips please, and make the eggs really runny. It's been a tough week at work (I know it's only Tuesday lunchtime) so I'll have a huge mug of tea and 4 cream cakes. Have you got any of those elephant's foot cakes in?

    Oh and as it's my neice's 8th birthday, Dad will be cooking, so lots of pakoras for everyone tomorrow, have asked him to make lots and he grudgingly agreed :-)

    Just popped in after work for a cuppa and some of that scrummy date and walnut cake if there is any left. It has been busy in here today. :)
